The Manhattan Bar Directory - New York - The Infatuation

"On one side, The Immigrant is a wine bar. On the other side, a beer bar. Choosing which side to sit in is kind of like picking a pill in The Matrix, except there aren’t really any consequences. Both sides are charming, quiet, and usually not too crowded." - katherine lewin, hillary reinsberg

Where To Meet Up With People For Exactly 1 Hour So You Can Go Home & Be Alone Again - New York - The Infatuation

"The Immigrant is two bars in one that serves beer on the left, and wine on the right. . Why they divided it up like this, we have no idea - but it’s nice that they’re doing something different. And once you get past the unusual concept, you’ll find that this is a nice bar to spend some time in. It isn’t divey or fancy - it’s just a good, calm place to have some wine and cheese in the East Village. Not to mention the top-notch people watching on the sidewalk of East 9th Street." - hannah albertine

Where To Eat & Drink When You’re Remembering How To Socialize - New York - The Infatuation

"Meeting up with someone you decidedly don’t want to eat a full dinner with? The Immigrant in the East Village is one of our favorite places to hang out these days for a drink and a snack. They have a rotating selection of wines by the glass listed on their chalkboard behind the bar (we recommend taking a picture when you first arrive and then leisurely zooming in on your phone at the table), as well as shareable cheese plates with grapes and crackers. Plus, the people watching on East 9th Street is stimulating enough to entertain you for at least 45 minutes." - hannah albertine, nikko duren

16 Top East Village Date Night Restaurants | Eater NY

"This casual, rustic wine bar — with low lighting, intimate seating, and exposed brick walls — is an unfussy place to meet a date. It’s small and narrow but laid-back, making it an ideal place to get to know someone new over some wines and cheeses. Next door is a sibling beer bar, in case that’s more the mood." - Kayla Kumari Upadhyaya

Been coming here two years and this place has always been a cozy getaway for me on Sunday nights and a perfect date night spot after dinner. I’ll never forget the first day I walked in and the owner, Jason was serving me and telling me the story of how the bar received its name and was just so courteous in service. Anari, another excellent bartender. Always provides excellent service. I hadn’t been in almost a year and he still remembered who I was. Besides the homie feel of this bar by its patrons, they only serve a few cocktails, but let me say, the few that they do serve, are undisputed. I always start with the espresso martini which is one of the best in the city , then, the Saint Andrew’s. The Saint Andrew’s is more in the fruity side, but also very refreshing. It was my first time trying the mezcal marg and was good after having the Saint Andrew’s prior. Lastly, I always close my night there with a Negroni. That has to be one of the most phenomenal cocktails they have and never disappoint. If I had to pick two coattails that sum up this bar it is definitely the espresso martini and the Negroni for sure. Can not miss with either or. This is a local east village spot, but I come here every now and again and am never disappointed. Come here on a date night or to feel refreshed by one of their cocktails. Also, playlist on Monday nights is pretty cool too.

Before coming here, I have never had a spicy margarita I didn’t like. Last night, everything changed. There is something terribly wrong with the spicy marg!!! First and foremost, it tasted watered down, like it had been topped with mineral water. Secondly, the house made sour mix had pretty much no tartness or sourness to balance out the savory flavors of the tajin — it tasted like tajin water that had an essence of lemon lime sprinkled in. I also couldn’t taste the tequila at all. Margs are defined by bold lime and tequila flavors and so this spicy marg utterly lacked the essence of a margarita. The mild and savory flavor of the drink would have been perfect if it was on a bag of chips and not a spicy marg. I really need a bartender/owner to respond to this and tell me why exactly your marg tastes like that. Did I get one that accidentally used 3oz of water instead of tequila and lemon lacroix instead of sour mix or does it taste like that on purpose?? I’m sorry if this is insulting but the recipe desperately needs to be adjusted… Spicy margs aside, this place has a wonderful ambiance, excellent staff and I had a delicious mango beer. It’s a great bar which makes the margarita letdown extra disappointing.

My friend and I found The Immigrant on a freezing cold, snowy day in the city. We'd been running around all afternoon and had time to kill before going to an off-Broadway show that evening. When we entered, we were greeted by the bartender, who pointed out the only available table (the interior is quite small). We took the table and accepted menus. The Immigrant has happy hour every day from (I think I remember this correctly...) 4 - 6 pm, so we took advantage of reduced drink and food prices. The Immigrant is small and dark, just like you would expect a bar to be in a tucked-away spot inside an old tenement building. The bartender, who was the sole employee in the place, was doing everything: taking food and drink orders, running to the other side, where the kitchen is, and then delivering food and drinks. Yet we didn't wait long for anything, even as the bar filled up over an hour or so. And he did all of this without losing his smile or relaxed demeanor. We really enjoyed the wine and the cheese plate, and the ambiance of the place. Definite 5 stars.

Google
Cute little quiet and intimate bar with friendly staff! Went in while walking around the block. Music was low enough to talk, loud enough to enjoy! Clean bathroom as well!

Google
Tap room: ambiance is not that great, where is the music and why do i have to stare at a black wall that has no decoration. Both our beer and wine choice was not available. Happy hour beer was $6.

Ah ah ahhhh....AH! Ah ah ahhhh....AH! We come from the land of the ice and snow From the midnight sun where the hot springs flow... Okay, this isn't actually the spot where Zeppelin would be blasted, but for a $12-15 glass of wine in East Village, you could do worse. Bonus people watching spot, like the drunk girl who left her phone in the bathroom and the frat guy on a first date.

Yelp
Great bar, very quite and cozy always my go to after a long day of work. Bartender's are always attentive.

Yelp
I came here for drinks on a Saturday night around 7pm. There were plenty of tables and though it was busy, there was no wait. The wine was good and reasonable priced, service was decent, and the ambiance is intimate and simple.

Yelp
The bartender was quite rude. We enjoyed the selection of beer, and the bar was nice. As we wanted to leave, I tried to get the bartenders attention. He motioned that he would be over. When he came over, he bought another beer with him. I said I didn't want another beer, and that I was trying to get his attention, in order to get the check. When he brought us the check, he rudely said that most people don't waive if they want the check, they waive if they want the beer. As he was doing this, he handed us the payment terminal, and aggressively pointed to the 18% tip sign. You don't quite expect this kind of service from a bar. We were trying to enjoy a beer on a nice Saturday, and this kind of left a sour taste.

Yelp
Good wine bar and staff. But they also have full bar and good food. The place is good for a date.

Yelp
Popped in here on Sunday evening for pre-dinner drinks. It's a wine bar, but we went for beer and cocktails. Hubs discovered a new favorite IPA there - Fancy Papers- and I had a solid old fashioned. They have a small food menu. We didn't partake but the $6 hotdog and chips has to be one of the best-priced bar foods I've seen.

Yelp
Came here on a Monday night for drinks with a friend. The ambience was very nice, it has your cocktail bar vibe but a more cozy feel because of the decor. The drinks were also delicious. The service was pretty quick and I had no complaints. I would visit again.

Yelp
Dimly lit and very intimate setting, this wine bar is perfect for a date night. There are two sides which is confusing but they're essentially the same. There's also outdoor seating options. The service was good and came by just the right amount of times. The server was knowledgeable about the wine and it was lovely!

Armando V.

Yelp
Love the cozy feeling of this spot and wine selection they offer. Service was really nice and good spot for small bites

Yelp
Great spot for wine, the place feels cozy. The staff is friendly. Over all great experience

Yelp
Everything you can ever want in a wine bar. Amazing selection, delicious bites, and you can sit for hours without being pushed out. A slice of Europe in the east village

Yelp
Intimate, dimly lit bar, perfect for a date or a small group of friends. We were seated in the back corner of the bar at a round table with benches. Service was fine. We did not try any food but we had two glasses of wine each.

Yelp
Very cozy bar in East village. An ideal spot for a date or a small ground of friends to enjoy some wine. The service was great, our drinks never went dry. I love the rustic, wooden vibe. It's super homey and a place I would love to come to in the fall/winter. It's definitely a bar worth checking out in the area! 4.8/5
google avatar

Yelp
Never really figured this place out. The drinks are mediocre and so is the vibe. Very standard bar that I wouldn't go out of my way for.

Yelp
Came upon this cute little wine bar while staying in East Village - this was a couple of doors from the East Village Hotel. There are two sides - the right seems to be move for wine aficionados while the left for beer and small eats. I sampled one beer while there from their dozen or so taps (most had stuff that's a bit more common - standouts were the excellent Brouwerij Huyghe Delirium Tremens and the Weihenstephan Original Helles - I noticed while up in NYC that both of these seem to be fairly common in the local craft pubs. I wanted something a bit more local and settled on an Oxbow Brewing Co Promontory Saison (yeah I know it's Maine, but more local than some of the other offerings). The Promontory Saison/Farmhouse Ale - fairly solid rye saison - a bit lighter on the mouthfeel with decent spicy banana nose. Full bodied with a slightly dry finish - color was light amber. Not the best in this style I've had but still good. I didn't have any of the food but spied a pretty good looking charcuterie with cheese next to me at the bar - I was looking for something a bit more substantial and the bartender suggested their sister restaurant a block over - the Athenian (quite good). I noticed on Yelp check-in that they offer the Mixed Greek Olives as a bonus so make sure you check-in. I'll return at some point and try the food - may up my rating at that point but initial impressions were 4/5 stars. Service at The Immigrant was top-notch - very friendly and with good recommendations. If you're looking for more local craft brews there's an excellent growler/bottle shop on 9th across 1st Ave about a half a block down on the right called Good Beer that serves flights-to-pints - hit it a couple of nights later.

Yelp
Stopped in here on a whim last night, craving a glass of wine after dinner. It was so dark in here, but your eyes adjust and the lighting certainly fits the ambiance of this relaxed little wine bar. The wine was delicious and affordable, the bartender was attentive and knowledgeable. The bathroom was big and clean (and don't worry, the lights are much brighter in there ). I'd highly recommend this spot!
google avatar

Yelp
Was housesitting for a friend, happened upon this spot by his place. Not quite a dive, not quite an upscale cocktail bar, but still good energy, good spot if you want to go out for a drink but not have to pop in hearing aids to hear what your friend is saying. Solid snacks, but if you're hungry, eat somewhere else beforehand.

Yelp
This was my first bar experience after the Pandemic and I am so glad it was. This place is super cool and drinks were good and reasonably priced too. I didn't know that the wine here was good and I ordered some cocktails. Maybe next time. Would totally recommend this place for drinks with a small group.
google avatar

Yelp
Enjoyed the outdoor space and was a fan of their orange wine! We also ordered the hummus and pita as a snack and I liked how the pita was lightly toasted before being served. It was also affordable for NYC - there were two of us and we each had a drink and split the pita and the total was $36 after tip.

Yelp
Lovely local wine bar! Very good happy hour- Had a Negroni, two glasses of Sancerre and cheese/meat plate all under $45! Owner is very kind and genuine. Really good spot for a cozy night with a small group of friends or a low key date night.

Yelp
"Not like the brazen giant of Greek fame, With conquering limbs astride from land to land; Here at our sea-washed, sunset gates shall stand A mighty woman with a torch, whose flame Is the imprisoned lightning, and her name Mother of Exiles. From her beacon-hand Glows world-wide welcome; her mild eyes command The air-bridged harbor that twin cities frame. "Keep ancient lands, your storied pomp!" cries she With silent lips. "Give me your tired, your poor, Your huddled masses yearning to breathe free, The wretched refuse of your teeming shore. Send these, the homeless, tempest-tost to me, I lift my lamp beside the golden door!" -- Emma Lazarus (November 2, 1883) A cozy quaint wine bar with an extensive wine list and Happy Hour for $8.00. The name of this wine bar bears significance to the very essence, the very fiber of what this country stands for as written from Lazarus's poem "The New Colossus" embedded on the pedestal of the Statue of Liberty. The male bar tender is very attentive and welcoming who enable me a tasting before my mind was set for specific white wine. The male bar tender did pour me a generous wine pour. Sancerre, Reverdy Ducroux, (Loire Valley, France) 2016 A subtle dry food friendly white wine of 12.5% alcohol content. Meat and cheese plate $12 Sweet Sopressata, Capocollo, aged Comte, small pickles and mustard with toasted bread Abundant plate of two Italian meats, French cheese which serves as a meal for a single party. Four stars as I did not receive a itemized credit card receipt with food/drink item names but only a grand total credit card receipt. Signage affixed to the wall and written on their menu publicly expresses gratuity to be paid in cash format. No comment on their facilities as I did not utilized. Space is ideal for intimate dates and small parties for the vino aficionados. Yelp mobile check-in offer is available. The menu is printed on Magna Carta Parchment paper at 80 lb. card stock in cream color of 30% Post-Consumer, which as any avid paper aficionado can easily recognize. The drink menu contains several gross spelling error of "nonn-alcoholic" which is correctly spelt NON-ALCOHOLIC.

Yelp
- Enter through the left door - Cute little wine bar in the east village - Brick walls, dim lighting, cozy, private - Come for wine night or a nice date - Check in for olives

Yelp
The Immigrant's left brain has Joi B written all over it! You have beer in a darkly elegant tiny beer hall (I imagine the olden days of McSorley's) on the right (clearly not my side) and on the left, an equally dark, elegant and sultry wine bar. I'm not sure it can get anymore perfect for me than this! We were lucky to grab one of the front tiny tables with banquet seating, a cozy corner at that, which was really intimate, but not in a "I'm right on top of that first Tinder date going on next to me," kind of way. Our bartender/server was very attentive and even was cool enough to acknowledge that he overheard me lament that I had ordered a plate of olives before noticing a check-in offer for a freebie that you had to mention when placing the order. "No problem, I actually didn't even put the order into the computer yet, so just show the check-in offer to me now." Wow! I wasn't even going to mention it and just use it another time (spoiler alert: I'll be back!) I was served a generous pour of a Pinot Noir so velvety that I had to order another. The olives are also a generous portion as are the salty rich Marcona almonds, perfect fatty accompaniments to the wine. My guy doesn't drink wine, but there are decent beer options even though we were on the wine side of the place. My new favorite spot in the EV!

Tejas S.

Yelp
......meh. The staff isn't super helpful, the crowd isn't great, the drinks are just fine. It's pretty to look at, that's about it.
google avatar

Darya S.

Yelp
Under-the-radar, simple, yet confusingly split into two parts for no necessary reason: wine bar on the right and tap room on the left. I went to the tap room, and the vibe was quiet and intimate. I briefly checked out the wine bar, and that seemed slightly more fun and somehow better. Anyway, there's seats at the bar and a few tables in the back. It's a tight place. While they of course have tons of wine and beer, respectively, the food menu is limited, with the bar basics, such as cheese and meat plates. I only got a Seltzer and the olives dish that was surprisingly impressive (Yelp offer still stands at time of this review), and the bartender easily gave it to me. He seemed great. I wasn't there for long, but it seemed ideal for a first or second date or an intimate get-together with a friend or two. Would I go back? Meh, not really. It's cute, but the best thing about The Immigrant is its area.
google avatar

Dalton T.

Yelp
I checked in on the Yelp and received a free appetizer of olives, which were a delicious snack with our glasses of wine. Both sides were packed but we found a wonderful spot at the window seat. The bartender was super accommodating and the prices were reasonable. Definitely glad we spotted by here
google avatar

Johanna B.

Yelp
Here's the scoop. I didn't choose this place tonight but i heard/read it's supposed to have great snacks/bites and is known for being a wine bar. First time here this evening so my review is based on the (good) Rose' wine. There's seating at the bar as well as smaller tables in the back. In fact, The Immigrant has two entrances with the same set up. There's not much of a visual ambiance. It's standard with wooden tables and chairs. Located in the East Village among many other restaurants and bars, I would say I enjoyed spending a couple hours here tonight. The waitress was attentive and service was good. I would consider returning.
google avatar

Ryna D.

Yelp
Come here for a quiet happy hour. I've known of this bar for a really long time now but have never been. It's sort of tucked away from the usual drinking spots in the Village and it's great for when you want to go out for happy hour but don't want to deal with a crowd. When I came there were only two other couples aside from me. I took a spot by the window and sipped my wine while reading a book. It was lovely. They offer some small plates for snacking but this is more of a bar for sure. Will keep this on my back pocket when I need a quiet bar to go to.
google avatar

Valerie N.

Yelp
Cute little wine bar with a few tables and a bar with a handful of chairs. They have a decent selection ranging from beers, wines, and cocktails. The ambiance inside is very simplistic and cute. Dim, romantic, and some pretty lights strung inside.
google avatar

Jennifer R.

Yelp
Super cute & intimate spot with a great small, but nicely curated wine list, and a good happy hour deal (even on Sunday!). It was approximately 700 degrees in NYC in August, and I was super happy that this place was dimly lit and had air conditioning. It was pretty quiet-- only one other couple sat next to us and one couple was at the bar. It was quiet and great for conversation. I had the Sancerre and the Sauvignon Blanc -- and highly, highly recommend the Sauv. I was snooping on the couple next to us who had ordered a cheese plate. We weren't hungry, but it looked delicious and I'll definitely be back to try it. I'm very glad to know there's such a great wine bar/tap room so close to my apartment!
google avatar

Gregory H.

Yelp
Been coming here for years and I always enjoy myself! Great date spot or for catching up with a friend. I've had two excellent dates here in the past. Even met the owner twice. He topped off my date's drink last October. Terrific, respectful, and knowledgeable bartenders. Tasty food spreads too, that go together well with the delicious wine. Looking forward to my next visit!
google avatar

Fred A.

Yelp
Can't speak to the food, but cozy, dark, wooden spot with a strong wine/beer menu. Very classic, with high quality wood paneling and a dark pub vibe. A strong establishment that you can't really go wrong with if in the neighborhood for a quick pre-dinner drink or two.
google avatar

Stefany V.

Yelp
Came in for HH, intimate atmosphere with small cozy tables and lit candles. There's an adjacent beer-specific "taproom" next door, with wines being the specialty here. HH prices the wines at $8/glass, and both the barberra and the tempranillo were good. The couple beside us got a few small bites that looked good, and there's a free order of olives with Yelp check-in. Service was a little pretentious.

Yelp
I am so happy this place is still open and safe during COVID. Went there last night for drinks and they set it up great. The outdoor space they set up is great and safe. Service is awesome, very friendly staff. The inside is also very cool and their food is good. Highly recommend for friends, date night, etc.

Yelp
I've been to the Immigrant half a dozen times, mostly on dates. This started as a small, wood paneled wine bar that ended up doing well another that the owners expanded next door to a similar sized space. The beer/wine lists vary a bit by venue but are mostly similar. I'm not the best to ask about wine options, but they have wine by the bottle as well as on draft. Options are pretty accessible, so no worries there. Beers range from a variety of basic craft options. Think saisons, IPAs, and the like from bigger microbreweries like Bell's. I think that sums the Immigrant up very well actually. It's good but nothing out of the ordinary. I probably wouldn't go out of my way to come again given the other options nearby, but it's reasonable as a cheap date place.

Sarah S.

Yelp
Can be a great relaxed neighborhood place or an absolutely unbearable destination spot for unbearable yuppies and wall streeters. Great choices of cocktails, wine and beer. The food needs a substantial upgrade. The hummus is flavorless and the cheese and grapes plate needs some variety and more grapes.
google avatar

Anna P.

Yelp
I went to the Immigrant while visiting New York. The entrances are divided, there is one door for the tap room and one door for the wine bar. The wine bar looked pretty busy so we went to the tap room. The tap room was very warm and intimate! It also was not super loud like most New York bars so you didn't feel like you had to talk over the noise. It had cozy booths and candle lit tables. They had a nice draft menu and cocktail menu. I had the bee's knees. It was very good! It was similar to a gimlet. I would recommend to others and go back in the future. The waiter was very nice. He was the waiter and the bartender and was very attentive for his busy job.

Yelp
Using the trusty Yelp Drinks Google Map (made by this handsome devil), I found this narrow wine bar in the EV for a late-night drink with a college friend. With the YD specials, the wine kept on a-flowing. And I just love wine bars and this one is a good one. As the orangehead Cailyn stated, The Immigrant is a great place for a get-together with close friends and wine. My personal favorite was the cava. We also tried the baklava which came in three 3"x2" pieces and decorated with blackberries. I opted for the almonds under the recommendation of one of the other reviews--they were round and buttery. Oh yeah, our server was a young girl with a good sense of humor and service. Red, red wine...!.

Bloss C.

Yelp
I have stopped in here a few times and always like the vibe*. There is a bar and about 7 or 8 tables. Décor is very nice and dim lighting creates a warm and toasty ambiance. Love their Pinot Noir, especially during Happy Hour (5:00 PM -6:30 PM) when it is $8 a glass. I have also tried the Cabernet, but the Pinot Noir is better. If you want a little bit of a nosh order the mixed olives ($6.00 or free if you show your Yelp Check-in) and if you're still hungry order the cheese and fruit plate. Three types of cheeses are served with slices of French baguette bread sliced the perfect thickness and some fruit. I think it was a very good portion size for 2 people to share. The soft La Lur cheese is amazing, and the 2 hard cheeses were tasty as well. Service is always welcoming and friendly, especially when Jason is behind the bar. Overall great addition to the neighborhood. * Fun fact - this space used to be the local witch store or wiccan store, as they like to be called.

Yelp
Came to The Immigrant last Friday after work to meet up for dinner plans. This is an interesting little bar that I've walked by plenty of times on my way to other places, it was nice to actually have a reason to go inside. We took over the little section all the way to the right-hand side of the bar counter right by the entrance. I love the large windows that provide lots of natural lighting and I like the whole overall dim, rustic, exposed brick feel - it's kinda NYC-fancy chic without being too bougie and romantic - but not so much so that it's alienating. At the end of the day, The Immigrant is a wine bar with a nice, encompassing selection of wines to choose from that were obviously curated lovingly with eclectic tastes in mind - although I do wish they would have had more roses and sparkling - just to round the menu out as I generally go with whites and their selection here is quite nice. One of my friends ordered a Sancerre which is also one of my favorite white wines from France that's very much light-bodied, yet rich in flavor and floral textures. Having gone to Paris last fall, I learned that it is pretty highly regarded in France and goes well with several different foods and very much so simply on its own. My other friend opted for a Sorachi Ace, a Brooklyn Brewery beer that she found a little hoppy, but still good. I ordered a SingleCut Beersmiths beer which was apparently brewed in nothing other than QUEENS and was actually QUITE delicious so I was very pleased. The cheese platters and other offerings on the menu seemed a bit pricier than what I would want to necessarily order in that neighborhood or place. Prices are something I'd rather pay at Winebar, Von or just a bigger more established wine bar. The Immigrant has a cozy, neighborhood charm who's appetizer prices are trying too hard to charge a lot for small portions. I like this place, but I'd only come here for a glass of wine, a few glasses of good craft beer, play with their super cool American-themed rotary phone (Captain America anyone!???) and then eat elsewhere. Good for a beginning of a date or meeting up with friends to go elsewhere.

Yelp
No frills happy hour spot. The place is broken down into two sides: wine side and a beer side. Wine side is a low-key wine bar, the beer side a more rustic tavern-y but also low-key taproom. Wine bar seems to fill up first. Good happy hour deals, and some small snacks the bartender throws together themselves (pita and hummus, etc.) Nice atmosphere for a quick hangout with a friend or two.

Chelsea J.

Yelp
The attraction of the bar was the ambience. It turned quiet instead of rowdy, despite getting increasingly busier over time. - Double whiskey shots on the old fashioned, looked smoky - Rusty Nail: perfect balance of the two whiskies. I thought it could do without the twist, but i didn't mind it much either - Prosecco: Temperature and sparkle were great for a hot summer day. Served in a classic coupe glass. Will come back soon to try their beers as well!

I was so pleased with this place. I've only known the Ruffian as the wine bar around the east village, but the Immigrant is just as good, possibly marginally better. It's the perfect date spot. There are two entrances to the Immigrant. One side is for the wine, the other for craft beer. I know nothing about beer, so we went to the wine side. The bartender was friendly but not as knowledgeable about wine as the bartenders at the Ruffian. But friendly. It's no frills and there's limited seating. I'm not sure if we were lucky because it was holiday week but it was quieter and slower than what others have experienced there. I liked it especially because it was quiet, and I could hear my date and talk to them. I'll be back to try their beer side and other wines they have.

Yelp
- reasonable prices for generous pours - expect to pay around $10-$12/glass - personable bartenders - quiet, intimate and unpretentious - wasn't crowded in the least for a saturday evening

Yelp
I've been here a few times but have been coming a lot during quarantine. Met a few good people and now I'm friends with them. It's a nice vibe type of spot. You can go alone and easily meet people to talk to. I love the fact that I can get my Orange wines there from Greece. Right now during quarantine they have delicious hot dogs on the menu too!

Yelp
The drinks were ok nothing special about this place other than it's in a cool area. The vibe of the bar is really nice and the workers were very lovely. The only thing that really got me down was the food. The Food was very basic. I wouldn't go here if you are really hungry or a nice date. However, I do recommend to stop by this place if you're meeting a friend after work.

Yelp
Great ambience. Perfect for a date night. Service was slow though cuz I think there was only one guy serving at the bar and tables

Yelp
This place is awesome. It's the perfect place to show up to alone on a Sunday afternoon, order some wine at the bar, socialize with some new friends next to you, as well as the bartender. It's a cozy spot, highly recommended for a date or a one on one catch-up.

Yelp
I love the Immigrant. They have the best sparkling rose I have ever had! I come at least 1x/month on my way home from work for wine and cheese with friends. Really friendly vibe - laid back crowd and love sitting outside on 9th st!
