"Denver-based winery Infinite Monkey Theorem is moving its only Texas winery in Austin from off South Congress at 121 Pickle Road over to the Govalle neighborhood at 702 Shady Lane in 2019. The South Austin winery and taproom will stay open through the month of January 2019, and it is now open reopen in the new East Austin address as of Tuesday, April 30. The new East Austin location, which is more than twice the size of its original Austin one, will allow the winery to focus on making completely Texas wines, expand its Texas offerings, and up its wine production. There will be a tasting room with a lounge and views into the wine production areas, plus outdoor space." - Nadia Chaudhury

We came for some wine and stayed for the cool place to hangout. The bartender was not just super helpful but also really nice and funny. The space has a fun eclectic vibe. If you’re hungry, there’s a food stand out back and a few food trailers nearby. They also have regular specials and events.

Google
Loved visiting this place! The Texas red was the perfect combo of sweet vs. Dry and the wine flight was a nice option. Great chill place to meet up with friends or have a date. Plus the wall murals are fun!

Google
I like the atmosphere here a lot. The frozen Rosé was good. They're pet friendly and the service was decent. There are food trucks nearby and you're allowed to bring food back in which came in handy.

Google
Nice space, decent wines, but on 4/6/2018 this place seriously smelled like hot celery. Maybe the private event in the back left some potato salad on the Sterno for too long... Who knows. The bartender was really friendly, though he smelt it as well.

Rio Tomlin

Google
Rad wine bar. Really cool space in a beautifully repurposed industrial space. Great local artist murals throughout the space. More than drinkable wine. And it's dog friendly inside!!!

Google
Great wine selection and excellent vibes. Looking forward to the full experience when construction on the winery is complete. The staff here is awesome and sure to make you feel apart of the neighborhood.

We had our wedding welcome event (~150 ppl) at TIMT. First off, the staff is beyond fantastic - extremely friendly and accommodating. The manager, Shana Landry, was an absolute delight to work with - responsive, organized, and very laid back. The space was unique, wine was delicious, and the night was perfect - our guest had a blast. If you're considering TIMT for an event, I would highly recommend!

Google
THE ARTWORK! Amazing. I loved the energy there. The drinks are canned, which is really unique for wine. Must try place in Austin.

Kendra M.

Yelp
We absolutely LOVED drag brunch at Wanderlust! We got the VIP package which included 2 drinks and a Jell-O shot each. It wasn't too busy so service was fast and the drinks were great. The show itself was a blast. Since I live in Chicago, I see drag shows all the time and take for granted how accepted it is as an art form. I loved that the performers took a moment to remind us that in most other places in Texas, they wouldn't be allowed to perform. Loved their empowering speeches and general strength to keep doing what they love. Also the food truck outside had limited options (only pork and beef) but the food was FIREEEE.

Daniel S.

Yelp
Not the typical wanderlust experience where you can pour your own wine. Location is a bit cramped with not a lot of seating but service was good (we were one of 5 people there). Will come back for their tasting in the wine cave and may upgrade/downgrade depending on the experience.

Anna G.

Yelp
it's always a fun time at wanderlust!! I absolutely LOVE it here. From their delicious wine, drinks, hello shots to their super fun events, you're guaranteed a good time. I have come to a variety of their events like their happy hours, the Yelp elite events, drag brunches and recently I got to experience their 2000s Musical Bingo! By far my FAVORITE event. I got to vibe with my besties and listen to some music! Their selection of wines is CRAZY!! so much to choose from but also don't sleep on their frozen cocktails! i had a mix of their watermelon and lime frozen rita, 5 too many hahaha!! The host for the 2000s bingo was so nice and his energy was amazing!!! The people ay wanderlust are so sweet and I love the vibes in here. can't wait to come to enjoy some more free events!

Laarni C.

Yelp
Wanderlust Wine on Shady Lane is an absolute gem for get-togethers. The vibrant atmosphere, fueled by colorful murals and an eclectic mix of comfy chairs, sets the stage for a fun and lively experience. Ordering at the bar is a breeze, especially with an array of draft wine options to explore. The staff is always friendly and attentive. The open seating arrangement adds to the communal vibe, making it an ideal spot for group events. Plus, the availability of food trucks ensures you won't go hungry, making this a well-rounded destination for a memorable night out. Cheers to Wanderlust Wine for creating a fantastic blend of great ambiance, diverse drink choices, and delicious bites!

Brandi D.

Yelp
This place is great for large parties, very accommodating - we got 2 drinks and a Jell-O shot and saw a show for $38 a person. This was much cheaper than any other place that had table reservations. It's a beautiful space, great drinks, and a fun time.

Alicia C.

Yelp
Had a fun time here for the Saturday 2000-2010 bingo!! Can't go wrong with the best songs of the century, bingo, and wine. The bingo host was also fun and energetic. Wine was about $2 per ounce and there is a large selection to choose from on tap. A few groups there also played bingo for their bachelorette/bachelor party. There was some curb street parking but I didn't see a parking lot.

Dominique E.

Yelp
So much space, vibrant space with amazing murals, tons of wine and games to play! I thought it was kind of strange that we went on a Wednesday which was 50% off "Wine Wednesdays" and it was very much empty. It is a unique experience to try all types of wine on draft (talk about quickly getting drunk doing this) but honestly I was not impressed. The white blends from France fell flat and it was still kind of expensive to pour. I paid $25 for a glass and half. Thankfully we went to Bufalina before and pre gamed with wine and pizza. I gave this spot a 4 because of the incredible art, this place is a cool vibe but just disappointed on the price point and selection of wines.

Desiree G.

Yelp
The customer service and actual location is great. I came in as a starting point for one of the drinking pedal bike tours. While waiting for our group, I wanted to get a beverage. The menu was pretty limited to wines, no surprise. I'm not huge on wine so got a frozen margarita. It was pretty small and not that great, especially given it was almost $20. I would come back for a Drag Brunch but not to have just drinks.

Karson S.

Yelp
First time going to Wanderlust and OH MY GOSH why have I not been here sooner?? What an incredible space for events or just to hang out. They have 2 areas: a smaller intimate bar area and then a much larger wine room. Came here for Tuesday night trivia (it was Y2KIKI themed: queer trivia from the 2000's). WHAT A GREAT TIME! Went with a group of my girl friends for an after work activity. The host was amazing, so many people dressed for the theme, and we had so much fun!! The story on the wines is that you get a card at the beginning, then you're allowed to go up to any wines on tap and pour your own (by selecting the amount and wine of choice). They also had wine frozen drinks and wine jello shots! Great time, great vibe, perfect for a group or just to go hang. Will be back (for Thursday karaoke, of course)

Sylvia O.

Yelp
I went here for an event and really loved the ambiance. I don't drink, so I can't speak to the wine aspect, but it seemed like they had a lot of wine on tap. I did have their tap water. They had a water station where you can re-fill your cup. If you plan on going with a group you may want to call ahead of time just to make sure that the large sitting area isn't reserved so that there is plenty of room. The acoustics in the larger room are a bad, so you may struggle to have a conversation with someone sitting right across from you. Parking is the only downside - I had to park about 5 minute walk away on the street. It was free, though, but just be aware if you are going at night. Wear sensible shoes because you'll likely have to walk a bit.

Taylor M.

Yelp
If you're looking for a quirky bachelorette party space on a Sunday, Wanderlust is great. If you want to enjoy just a couple glasses of wine, this isn't it. The system of pouring an ounce or so at a time for tasting seemed really fun, but these are not high end, mid tier, or even lower tier recognizable wines. You are paying for the novelty of the tap system. Again, this can be fun of you're not a big wine person and just looking for a fun, casual (but expensive) time, but otherwise I don't think it will be worth it to you. I felt many of these wines were the same you could buy under $15 at HEB. Everything seemed like a one-off kind of style, overly sweet, or just honestly, not good. My husband and I went and each had 3, 5-ounce glasses, and our bill was over $100 for wine that was not good.

Christina H.

Yelp
I absolutely loooooveee coming to Drag Brunch Sundays at Wanderlust Wine Co on Shady Lane. There is not a private lot, however they do have plenty of street parking. Wanderlust is open every day, however, I would suggest checking their events calendar in advance, as they'll have special events open to the public on certain days. There is such a variety of drink options for you to choose from (ie: mimosas, jello shots, wines, etc). My personal favorite? Bottomless Mimosas for only $35. Unlike other drag brunches I have been to, Wanderlust's drag brunch does not require an entry fee, and therefore does not include brunch or drinks. If you are looking for bites, Wanderlust has a food truck outside (Heel of the Boot, see my review).

Rose J.

Yelp
Wanderlust has a great vibe. It's pretty spacious! One area had a/c and the other section didn't which is were you actually serve yourself 1,2 or 3 oz pours. I was alittle confused starting out but got the hang of it quickly! We arrived during happy hour 3-6pm 30% off. The place had a nice crowd and at 4pm we started playing musical bingo. It was a good time with everyone singing along with the tunes! My son actually won a swag bag with a $5 gift card. I'd return during the week with Thursday karaoke and half off drinks. I will say the frozen drinks were very strong. I didn't find a wine I liked but will come back and taste my way thru other choices. Parking is off the street. Thanks for a good vibe!

Robert R.

Yelp
What a chill place. This place is away from the hassle and traffic and just had a good vibe from the moment you walk in. The wine selection is huge and we had a couple of very nice wines that paired well with the appetizers we had. As soon as you can find seats on the large benches or go a room over and find some comfortable couches and leather chairs. Ambiance, wine selection and staff all come out to a great place to stop in and relax with a great glass of wine.

Genevieve K.

Yelp
I was in town visiting friends and I'm so glad they live near Wanderlust, because it was a perfect way to spend my first night in Texas! I was glad they had been there before, so they were able to explain to me how you get a card and that's how you pay and scan for each glass (though I'm sure it would've been well explained by staff if all of us were there for the first time.) There were SO many options and I loved how you could switch the size of the pour each time. I probably had 2-3 glasses and tried to mix it up. The space was huge and kind of gave a warehouse vibe in the back. There was also a smaller area in the front with karaoke and a food truck outside in the back where there were also a few tables. We stayed for a few hours drinking, catching up, playing games, and signing karaoke. I would definitely recommend this place if you're looking for a fun, slightly more laid back night out!

Laura Q.

Yelp
Wine was meh, as were the margaritas and jello shots. The atmosphere and venue were awesome, they just need some good wine!

Raquel C.

Yelp
Walked in and walked out!!!! Tried to use my Pours for Pets Passport in order to get our 1 free Jell-O shot that the book promised, and yet the bartender said we had to open a tab before she could give us the Jell-O shot and spend $5. First of all, I paid for this in order to support Austin Pets Alive and in return the sponsors get "free" marketing in order to bring new patrons in and hopefully they'll like it enough to spend more money. But... you're saying I need to give you more money without trying the free product you offered!? Um NO! Absolutely avoid this place!

Marissa A.

Yelp
The bartender was really cool and welcoming! Make sure to check in to get a discount ( hopefully it's still honored when you do) The Jell-O shots were very tasty and they had different flavors! I want to try some of their wines next time but this was strictly stop for shots. See ya next time wanderlust

Jane R.

Yelp
WHAT A COOL VENUE. This place is so fun with wine on tap, large open space, board games, sometimes live music/events/comedy. There are some really great discounts too! Thursday evenings are 50% off and happy hour on other nights are 30%. I am a wine lover, but I do not consider myself a connoisseur. I love that I got to try as many wines as I want for 1oz before choosing to get 5oz. I will say... I didn't love a lot of the wines as they tasted almost watered down (perhaps it is because it is on tap?). I did find a few that I liked, so I still enjoyed my time here!

Nicole G.

Yelp
I LOVED visiting this beautifully crafted place! First off the wine selection is top notch! I love the def serve and pour, you are able to grab a Glass, use the card that is connected to your bank/credit card and swipe to try anything from 1-8oz of any wine!! It's so fun! I enjoyed the relaxed atmosphere, they also host drag brunches, they have a ton of bird games to play while you drink, fun music and great customer service!! Whether you are having a bridal party, you are out for the day or night, or just hanging out with a few people it's a fun place to check out and it is such a vibe!!! Obsessed!

Amanda K.

Yelp
I have been to this location back when it was Infinite Monkey Winery. I was sad they closed due to the 'Rona. Anyway, I am glad it is up back and running as Wanderlust. Upon entering you can grab a glass of mead from the bar area or head into the winery to pay by the pour with your card. They have tons of wines to choose from to include sangrias. There are picnic tables inside and a small courtyard near the food trucks if you want to hang out outdoors. They have a few food trucks on-site that will be opening soon. One of them was kind enough to pass out bread samples. I am gluten-free but my husband indulged in some delicious bread which he said was AMAZING. Overall this is a cool little area with more to come to include a coffee place, brewery, and restaurant. I will be back for sure because the location is chill and the wine was good.

Javier B.

Yelp
A different wine experience! Nice decor, great service, friendly people, great wines! Love the concept and experience! This is a great way to spend an evening out and enjoy wine and good food! I am glad to have learned about this place thanks to Yelp! I will definitely be back!

Kelsey S.

Yelp
The environment at Wanderlust Wine Co definitely has a fun, fantastical feel. However, during the summer it gets a bit toasty for my liking. The prime time when we like to visit is the Fall/Winter. If you're looking for a fun place to go with coworkers, bachelorette party, or just a happy hour - I definitely think Wanderlust is a great place to check out. The wine itself is decent - not anything I'd write home about, but drinkable. I feel like the environment itself is what makes it a great place to check out.

Kristal O.

Yelp
Where have you been all my life! Pay for only what you pour? Be able to try a wine without paying $12 a glass or a full bottle? Load me up cowboy!!! But the staff is ALWAYS amazing as well. They listen to you and recommend and truly care about your experience. They also throw events like drag brunch and other music events - the space is genuine. Enjoy!!

Elizabeth K.

Yelp
I live right next door to the new Wanderlust and was too excited when I learned that they were doing their soft opening. My boyfriend and I came in after dinner one night to see the new location and grab a few drinks and I can definitely say that we'll be back. The wine isn't on tap just yet since they're still finishing up construction but there's still plenty of options and the staff is eager to help. We spoke to Ashley at the bar and she was amazing, she told us all about the building, the wines, events, and what was to come with the space. Not only was the wine great but the atmosphere is just unmatched. The building is decorated floor to ceiling with murals and graffiti art from local Austin artists. I can't wait to come back when the whole package is together! COVID Precautions: Masks are encouraged and hand sanitizer was provided.

Keshante A.

Yelp
What an amazing place! I initially went to the downtown location but it was tiny and crowded. This location is on the east side and is enormous. So much seating and had a calmer vibe. I love the concept of wine on tap and being able to sample. The card concept is cool, but I kept leaving my card in the machine, so be sure to not do that! There's 4 different pours to choose from, and each has a price by it. You can also keep track of how much you've spent, which is great. The live music was so good. There were board games, standup comedy, and food trucks. Staff was helpful and explained everything well regarding how to use the wine machines. A gem of a place. I really can't wait to come back here!

Heather B.

Yelp
Love the art deco! Variety of areas to seat, including a room with artificial grass. Large room has many picnic tables with transistor radios and manual typewriters adorning them. Excellent selection of wine and sangria. Provides a great opportunity to try a variety of regions of wines that you would be unable to do in a restaurant setting. However, it is expensive. I had less than a glass and a half and spent over $20. There are 3 food trucks, but they were closed when we were there (Sunday). This would be a great place for a group event or just a large group attendance (that happy hour people forget to RSVP for--this is the place to accommodate them!). It is so spacious in the main room. Parking is an issue.  It's only available on the street: so carpool or rideshare.

Chilly P.

Yelp
it's always a good time at wanderlust! i've been there so many times including their drag shows. large space with plenty of seating and great art. they serve all kinds of wine in a self-serve tap style. i love taking my family and friends here when they visit. every now and then they do happy hour and you get 50% off all the wine.

The M.

Yelp
Last time we were here, this was known as Infinite Monkey Theorem Winery. It had a very cool atmosphere and fun and funky decor. We loved it back then. Flash forward several years and now we're back, at Wanderlust Wine. They managed to make it even cooler! They have the standard full bar area up front, but past the bar and in the huge taproom seating area is the main attraction: A HUGE self-pour taproom. You can choose from 64 different wines! That. Is. Crazy! Alexandra, our server was so friendly and helpful, showing us how the whole system works and then leaving us to discover a whole world of wines. This place takes the wine tasting experience to a whole new level! We were able to try so many more different wines than we could at the typical hill country winery, and for roughly the same cost! To add to our enjoyment, we enjoyed some of the delicious barbecue from B. Cooper's food truck just outside. Everyone was so friendly and the wine and barbecue was perfection. We can't recommend Wanderlust Wine on Shady Ln. highly enough. Go there. NOW!

Sadel S.

Yelp
I went to Austin to visit family and Wanderlust came up on a Google search of places to visit. It's a really funky, artsy, and fun place! They had plenty of options of wine to choose from on their taps (along with sangrias!) and we happened to go on a Bingo and Guess the Song activity. It was a blast! Dogs and welcome and they also have a large variety of games to play. Would definitely go back if I'm in Austin again.

Shveta M.

Yelp
Large space where they kept most of the amazing artwork/murals from Infinite Monkey! They have a very big selection of wines and you can choose your pour by slipping in your tab card and pushing a button. Maybe I'm just old but I had a hard time figuring out where the pour was coming from and lots spilled out each time. Think they could do a better job at explaining/labeling! Other than that, it's a fun space for a group hang or to go with a couple friends or a date. We went on a Thursday which is their all night happy hour day and it was loud bc there was also karaoke. Again, maybe I'm too old, but it was LOUD! The food truck in the back was open and the burger and fries I ordered were ok. Nothing to call home about but heck, it's food. Wish they had a better option to pair with the wine. Overall, Worth checking out but personally, not my vibe.

Kelsi D.

Yelp
This is such a cool way to taste wines! They've got over 60 wine taps and you get a little card to use at each tap. Each one is priced by the ounce so you can pour as little or as much as you like and try them all! They had a good range of lower priced to higher priced wines from all over the world. Some of the taps were out of order when we eat but they still had a bunch to choose from. They also have a bar if you don't want to use the wine taps. The tap room wasn't air conditioned when we went but it's a nice open space to have events or hang out when it's not too hot. It was their soft opening so I believe they plan to have AC in this room it just wasn't working at the time. The main room has a ton of seating as well and fun games you can play or you can just sit and chat and look at all the amazing local murals on the walls as well as all the fun thrifted Knick knacks and furniture. One of my favorite spots in Austin for sure.

Dee M.

Yelp
LOVED drag brunch here. So, so much fun- amazing music, vibe, all of it. Was a highlight of my bachelorette weekend in Austin. If you're thinking about whether to go or not, just go

Hannah P.

Yelp
I love this place! The ability to take small amounts of a variety of wines is a game changer. The outdoor patio has a gorgeous mural and is very IG friendly :)

Bethany P.

Yelp
Enjoyed our time. We came for the music bingo, which I was as really excited for, but left before we got to experience it. Was supposed to start at 6 but didn't happen. We left at 6:45 after waiting the atmosphere is nice, wine prices are pretty steep, but the bottomless mimosas are definitely worth it!

Joe B.

Yelp
Same ownership and sommelier as the space down the street in Austin! Family operated, I was allowed to get a sneak peek of how they hook up, source, connect, measure, and pour their "kegged" wine barrels and it was super cool! Nice people.

Liz G.

Yelp
Who could want more... live music and events, tap wine, and ample seating with a colorful and eclectic style! The food truck outside serves bomb truffle fries and they even have a selection of non alcoholic beverages. I would love to see some actual non alcoholic wines so that moms to be or our sober warriors can still come and hang with friends to have more nonalcoholic choices. Also, be prepared for the parking situation. It is only street parking and there is a lack of lighting on the street if you leave after sundown.

Katie M.

Yelp
Location #2 for wanderlust wine did not disappoint!! The two locations are wildly different it makes you do a double take - is this the same company?? But yes - they can do all the vibes with all the great wines. This location has a huge barn area for massive parties and events, a cozy interior, and another even cozier private room. The bathrooms are beautiful and the place, although huge, is still absolutely comfortable due to the layout.

Stephanie M.

Yelp
Had a BLAST here for the Bottoms Up Drag Brunch for my birthday! If you want some good laughs and a super entertaining show this is the place. $30 bottomless mimosas weren't bad either. The owner is also such a sweetheart. Will definitely be coming back!

Angela G.

Yelp
A great place to try different wines and hang out with friends! They have a ton of seating indoor and outdoor. I tried a Moscato and a Sangria, both of which were very delicious! Check them out on their half off days (Mondays).

Kailani M.

Yelp
I enjoyed a whole afternoon at Wanderlust! They've got a ton of choices of different wines to suit anyone's taste and the best part is you can have as much/as little as you want! I definitely recommend this for a girls night out or girls day event. There is a ton of space to relax and enjoy your drinks along with some fun entertainment if you come during a drag show event!

Ralph T.

Yelp
Really unique spot! We came on a saturday evening and were a bit perplexed by the low turnout here, but had a great time nonetheless! We were there for a comedy show and had a great time. Exploring the wall of wines is great fun, but if you're interested in trying a bunch of them it can get pricey quick as just a 1oz pour can range from 1.70-3.40. Pro tip: the food truck absolutely should not be skipped! The cheese curds and fries were wonderful.

Jiyoon S.

Yelp
Came here on a Tuesday, where it was extremely dead (maybe 15 people tops) and despite an awkward ambiance we had a good time! First off, the space is fantastic - huge lofted ceilings, seamless indoor/outdoor (perfect for COVID), visually interesting seating and art. The indoor portion comes loaded with comfy couches and armchairs which I can appreciate! A fantastic venue that I'm sure would've been much more vibrant during peak hours. The service is great, really enthusiastic and knowledgeable sommeliers accompany with a great playlist. The wine selection here is decent, definitely a more robust and diverse selection than the downtown location. Great location for large groups or a birthday party. Would totally come again (albeit on a busier night)!

Ty'Trell D.

Yelp
If you're looking for a place in Austin to escape the cold or to simply enjoy good food and drinks - THIS IS THE PLACE! Visited this place with my family on a cold day in Austin and we surely enjoyed ourselves. The wine selection to choose from is wonderful and the prices are very affordable. The staff are extremely friendly and personable. The ambiance is cozy and welcomes conversation. This would be a great place for groups, a date, or a solo excursion. My favorite part of the entire experience was the food truck, Out of Nowhere ATX. We all ordered the Texan burger and it was the BEST BURGER WE'VE ever had! I encourage everyone to try this place out. You won't regret it!

Kia L.

Yelp
The inside of wanderlust is so creative! This location decor has a graffiti, gritty feel? They also play a lot of hip hop/ rap which is not only refreshing but gives this place an authentic feel! There is only street parking at the Shady ln location so keep that in mind! Once you arrive you receive a Pour card that you can use to access each tap. They have white wine (Chardonnay, resiling, etc) and red wine varieties. They don't have food but there are separately operated food trucks! Overall I think the wine is a bit over priced but love this space for studying, exploring a creative outlet or chilling with a few friends. It's a VERY quiet space. There's outdoor and indoor seating. I will be back sometime I hope they host comedy or spoken word here... seems like an appropriate venue!

Marina G.

Yelp
The Italian food truck that was there was terrible. It was like have chef boyardee ravioli from a can. But other than that the drinks were good and the Drag show was fun!

Tomas G.

Yelp
Came to Wanderlust for a SXSW Event (Ciao Austin) and had a wonderful experience! The service was prompt & had an opportunity to sample Italian wines. Also had an opportunity to enjoy the lounge space and have sample appetizers, from Heel of the Boot. Highly recommend to visit Wanderlust and check out their vast wine selection!

Paola R.

Yelp
The wine and customer service were great! We loved Bryan, give this man a raise!! Even with a busy crowd, Bryan managed to provide such a good customer service! 10/10- Bryan definitely improved our experience!!!

This space is so fun with super friendly staff. I went for Tappy Thursday, so they have 50% of all wines, the discount was great! They also had karaoke set up, which was so fun and festive! A quieter seating area was available as well. Overall, great wine selection and fun overall vibe!

Yelp
We finally made it to the Wanderlust location on a Tuesday, ahead of leaving for a vacation, as were looking to spend a day just relaxing near home and day drinking. There are tons of choices of wine, and even more places to sit and relax! The staff explains the process to you, but after our first visit, we definitely realized there could have a little better thorough explanation, and notation made about the happy hour each day. My husband and I each received our own card for pours, even though we were on the same tab, so it's VERY easy to lose track of how much you are spending collectively, because your card only shows what YOU have spent so far. The choice to have small, medium and large pours is nice, because even though each wine has a description, you just don't know until you try it! There are several food truck options, but they don't open until later in the day. There are also some mead wines, and some non alcoholic options inside, as well as games to play! There are also dog-friendly areas and water bowls, which are always a plus for us! Our only complaint was the staff; we arrived just after their posted opening time, but the door was locked. We walked around back, called out to anyone, and got no response. We left for a bit and came back and it was finally opened. We inquired about it with the long staff member after she finally appeared, after about 15 minutes of waiting, and she seemed to think we didn't know what we were talking about. And as I mentioned, the explanation was not very thorough, and we had to wait another 10 minutes to cash out because she kept disappearing. We chalked it up to an one-off thing, and let it go, but it was still quite strange. I would think busier times might be better!
