Step into The Ivory Peacock, a chic cocktail haven in NoMad where gin reigns supreme, featuring stunning decor, mouthwatering bites, and lively vibes.
"There’s nothing casual about The Ivory Peacock. This place specializes in gin, serving over 180 different kinds, and it’s essentially three different bars under one roof. There’s the Victorian-themed front area, the upscale Emerald Bar where you can eat oysters with a flight of gin, and a downstairs area with couches, a disco ball, and weekend DJ sets. The place is huge, and it feels like a clubstraunt, so keep The Ivory Peacock in mind for any group outings that call for a South Beach sort of energy." - Bryan Kim, Matt Tervooren
"This huge Flatiron spot is really three bars under the same roof, and the focus here is on gin. They have more than 180 different kinds on hand, but if you want a Guinness, you can order that too (unless you’re sitting in the wrong place). The somewhat Victorian-themed front area serves drinks that the more upscale “Emerald Bar” in the back doesn’t—and vice versa. There’s also a lounge downstairs with DJs. If you get hungry, try the lemongrass fluke crudo. " - Hillary Reinsberg, Neha Talreja, Bryan Kim, Kenny Yang
"This huge Flatiron spot is really three bars under the same roof, and the focus here is on gin. They have more than 180 different kinds on hand, but if you want a vodka soda or a pint of Guinness, you can order that too (unless you’re sitting in the wrong place). The somewhat Victorian-themed front area serves drinks that the more upscale and relaxing “Emerald Bar” in the back doesn’t—and vice versa. Something clubby in the deadmau5 universe will probably be playing at those two bars, and there’s also a loungey space downstairs with DJs that's open Wednesday-Saturday. Unlike the drink situation, the food menu causes zero confusion. The same dishes are served everywhere, and their raw bar items are surprisingly creative. Get the lemongrass fluke crudo." - Kenny Yang
"The Ivory Peacock, located in Manhattan’s NoMad neighborhood, has perfected the drink, yes – with a dedicated “sub-zero” Martini menu of 2 and 4 oz. pours – but celebrates so much more that gin is capable of. Beyond boasting 860 bottles (and counting) of gins, making it what the owners say is the largest collection of gins in New York City, the bar is a gorgeous place to gather, with antique chandeliers, Louis XV-style carved giltwood mirrors, and gorgeous velvet seating throughout. Its location on West 26th St. has supposedly been an active bar since the mid-19th century, pausing only during Prohibition." - Maria Yagoda
