The James Room Buckhead serves vibe dining with a rooftop lounge, while Brush offers an exclusive, emerald green sushi spot perfect for first dates.
"After leaving their old space in Decatur, dropping “izakaya” from the name, and picking up a totally different fancy-pants identity in Buckhead Village, Brush is all glown up. And it’s become a go-to for an impressive first date because the emerald green venue feels exclusive—like you had to pull strings to get a table. Your date doesn’t have to know it’s pretty easy to book the same day. The small menu of excellent sushi and entrees helps curtail indecision if lots of choices normally overwhelm you. Plus, we’ll make it even easier—get the delicious citrus salmon maki rolls or the jalapeno yellowtail with crispy fried leeks." - juli horsford, nina reeder
"Brush relocated from Decatur to Buckhead in September. The dining aesthetics have been upgraded and the tasty sushi is still spot-on, which is why they made our Hit List. " - nina reeder, juli horsford
"A second location of the James Room is taking over the former Regent Cocktail Club space at Buckhead Village." - Beth McKibben
"Buckhead Village will soon include a cocktail bar with a rooftop lounge, when a second location of Beltline-based the James Room opens later this summer. The bar takes over the former Regent Cocktail Club space, which closed in February, along with steakhouse American Cut, at the Buckhead retail and dining complex. Located on the third floor of the building across from Shake Shack, this latest location of the James Room features more seating in which to enjoy what owner Harold Brinkley and his partner in the Buckhead bar Aaron Mattison (Bar Vegan, Excuse My French) call 'vibe dining.' That includes just outside on the rooftop lounge overlooking Peachtree." - Beth McKibben
