"Steaks are the Jones Family specialty, both at their original spot in Shoreditch and at their more spacious venue in Belgravia. They’re both applying the EOTHO rules throughout September." - Oliver Feldman, Rianne Shlebak

A 5 minute walk from Old Street Tube station, this place is easy to miss. No big lights or imposing signs trying to attract your attention but instead signage and a front of house that simply blends in unassumingly with the surrounding area. Nice bar upstairs with plenty of seating and a relaxed and comfortable feel. The restaurant is downstairs and it has a wonderful homely feel to it. The staff are knowledge about both the food and drinks menu. We arrived late (we called to let them know) and even though there was a booking following us, they accommodated us and the food was promptly served and of course... tasty. I'm giving this place 3 stars as we only had mains (our fault for being late) but I'll be returning to sample all 3 courses and I'm expecting to give this little gem at least 4 stars 🤗

One of the best places to have a Sunday roast in London- great location, cosy atmosphere, attentive and friendly staff and incredibly tasty food! If you are going on a Sunday, it would be best to book in advance as it is a popular place and it gets very busy. The menu also includes a wide variety of other meat dishes and desserts (if you don't want to go on a Sunday or if you want something else).

My favourite secret place for a Sunday Roast in London. Perfectly cooked beef in the Josper grill with all the trimmings including vegetables and a delicious Yorkshire pudding. All the meat is supplied by the Ginger Pig butchers and the beef is from rare breed Longhorn cattle raised in Yorkshire and dry aged for a minimum of 28 days. Fantastic value at £9.95 for one course, £14.50 for two or £17.50 for three. You can also get different cuts of beef, lamb, chicken or a slow cooked oxtail burger cooked in the Josper charcoal oven. Restaurant is downstairs but you can also eat in the bar on the ground floor where they also have pop ups and great cocktails.

Good atmosphere, steak was cooked very adequately. The wine however was absolutely top notch (a Californian vintage surprisingly but amazing). I would recommend, the service was nice and warm. A slightly better value considering the quality would make this 5 stars.

We booked for Thanksgiving dinner here as it was a feature of their restaurant and we were here on Holiday during Thanksgiving. Booking was easy, but required a 20 pound deposit that had to be made via filling out a PDF and emailing back. It was in a cool part of the city and the decoration was irreverent, but not overstated and had a lovely family atmosphere. Waitresses were more than nice, albeit a little spread thin. O can't speak the the typical food, but the Thanksgiving menu was very much aligned with the traditional American meal. It's hard to know if it was my American tastebuds or not, but the meal seemed to be a little heavy handed in seasoning. The gravy instead of being rich and comforting was a little vinegary. The turkey was well cooked without being overcooked (still tender/juicy). Cranberry sauce was DELIGHTFUL, and the veg was average. The dessert missed the mark as the pecan pie was over-baked, but came with a little American flag, so points for style. The squash soup was my favorite with strong garlic overtones and a truffle oil finish. Can't speak to the drinks as I am unable to drink alcohol for now. Would love the opportunity to try the regular menu, and would come back just for the atmosphere.

Excellent service and food. Definitely recommend the sourdough bread for a starter. Staff were friendly, attentive and provided cards for the birthday people. If I returned I would have the steak as that looked amazing. It is expensive but you receive very high quality food.

Tender chateaubriand steak. A bit undercooked (Ordered Medium-rare but it was actually more like rare) but still delicious! Twice cooked chips and English salads on sides are the perfect match with steak. Starters were not as good as steak. Smoked mackerel (starter) was juicy, soft but a bit too salty. Steak tartare had some Asian chilli sauce in, which was quite weird. Very stylish, good atmosphere for couples or friends.

I can’t rate this place highly enough! The location is superb, I was able to make requirements about my seating arrangements for my anxiety discreetly with zero problems, and the food is well worth the price, I couldn’t even finish it. The wine list was so varied and absolutely delicious, just perfect. It was also my birthday and the staff lovingly gave me a signed card! We were well tended to and the staff are so aware of how to look after people. This place is definitely going to be a regular for me. Thank you SO much!
