If I could give 0 stars, I would.
I came here last Friday with my date for coffee/millshake. It was great, and my date was excited to return here again.
I researched the reviews and was shocked by the numerous reviews about roach sightings in the food. I was also concerned that the owner/manager is responding to the negative reviews, which makes the bulk of the current reviews and stars at this place. There is a problem when the owner/general is trying to placate the reviewers and assuring quality for weeks, months even, and nothing is changing.
I told my date about my concerns, who also read them, but wanted to give them a chance.
We returned here last night. Because I didn't want to risk being food poisoned or having roaches, we agreed to stick to the shakes.
Lo and behold, while we were still drinking, I see something moving on the booth seat ledge, where these boxed plants are held...and it's crawling down the booth towards my date's neck and shoulder!!!! I immediately freak out and alert my date, who jumped out of his seat. It's a freaking roach! And it starts scurrying down to the booth and towards his parka!!!
The staff sees us panicking, but are idly standing by. Our table's waiter finally passes by and kills it with a napkin and justifies by saying it came from the plants.... not to mention, there's no one cleaning/disinfecting the seat (roaches leave pheromone trails, which is why cleanup is necessary).
You have got to be kidding me. Roaches from houseplants? Okay... Btw, no offer to switch seats, comp our drinks, or sincere apologies. This is the hospitality business, so it behooves the staff to be hospitable. Otherwise, find another sector.
If a roach is bold enough to scurry around in the well-lit main area and patrons are reporting this many roach sightings, then that implies that there is a significant problem. Get rid of the plants, fumigate this place and train your staff.
Absolutely disappointed and disgusted.
