Here Are All the Michelin Starred Restaurants in the San Francisco Bay Area | Eater SF

"Chef Kelly McCown’s restaurant the Kitchen maintained its star, with the Michelin Guide stating that the restaurant feels “like an uproarious party.” (1 star)" - Eater Staff

"After more than 30 years of operation, The Kitchen has upgraded to a grander space, but its raucous party atmosphere, led by energetic emcee Chef Kelly McCown, is the same as ever. Diners are encouraged to get up and walk around, even to wander through the kitchen and rub elbows with the cooks. Really like that truffle dish? The chef, who frequently proclaims the menu’s caloric impact, nonetheless invites you to ask for seconds. The menu changes monthly and features far-reaching inspiration while highlighting the Central Valley’s treasure trove of ingredients. Expect dishes like sweet potato cannelloni with brown butter sabayon, or perfectly seared scallops paired with cauliflower, blood orange, and lime leaf—and remember that the central premise is to have fun." - Michelin Inspector

Very cute store! Lots of fun stuff. I bought a bloody mary mix with all natural ingredients in it. Service is great, when we went they were passing out samples of mimosas and cider. :)

They have all the little things you didn't know you were missing. This super cute shop has all the things for your holiday parties and gifts. From unique holiday glass ornaments to tiny decorative spoons. If your grandma had it is here! All my favorite mementos from childhood. I love this place!

Charming store with a wide variety of very special gifts and food items. There's also kitchen things, but I don't cook so didn't spend any time on those. Staff was super helpful!

Google
I can’t believe it’s taken me years to write this review! The Kitchen Table is by far one of the BEST stores in Sacramento and the surrounding areas to shop in. If you are looking for the kind of place where you can easily find a gift for your mom, friend, sister or yourself (it’s cool I don’t judge) then this place is it! I always bring my friends who are visiting from out of town to The Kitchen Table. The space is cozy but filled with everything you can think of from whimsical tea towels and serving ware, the delicious smelling candles and gourmet food items. Susan the owner does an amazing job curating all of the items in her store and I love that you can find CA and Sacramento area themed products. Service is friendly (always), the prices are great, and the ease in which you’re able to browse and shop make it even better. Definitely make the effort of shop local and support this wonderful woman owned business! *Hot Tip* they have Voluspa candles and great Christmas ornaments.

Love the feeling in there. Staff & owner is very helpful & friendly. Would like more locally made utensils but already a little pricey. Will be back for sure

Yelp
This Kitchen Table location is a great one. It's located at H and Alhambra and they have a little parking lot designated for the stores in this little plaza. The store has a good mix of homegoods, gifts, condiments, jewelry, stickers, and more. Really a healthy dose of anything you may want for yourself or for a gift for someone else. On my last visit I spend a good amount of time looking around and ended up buying a candle that smelled like fresh tea, and a bottle of a giardiniera sandwich spread. It's a great spot for unique and seasonal items and there really is something for everyone. The owner and their other team members are always really friendly and happy to help you find items if you're looking for something special. I also stopped in with my well behaved dog and they were happy to have him in. Definitely worth checking out regularly as they change the stock and there's always something cool to look at.

Yelp
What an amazing space!! The Kitchen Table on 33rd was an absolute gem, but there was so much awesome stuff that it needed a bigger home. Now there is parking right there and room for even more of the best curated home goods in town! Whether you are looking for a cute little card and a super budget-friendly hostess or birthday gift or you need to upgrade your own entertaining/cooking items to something spectacular, look no further!

Yelp
I love shopping at The Kitchen Table! It's such a great place to pick up unique gifts for housewarming, holidays, and birthdays. I can easily spend an hour just browsing around. The store is packed with stuff in every corner. I like to check out the cool and useful kitchenware that I didn't even know I needed, like a set of hummus spreader knives or mixing bowls with quotes or unique napkins. It's my go-to place when I need a last minute gift. I also like to support small business whenever I can. Street parking is limited. Try the streets on the other side of Folsom Blvd.

Yelp
This little shop is so cute and you will not regret stopping in! It is located in a neighborhood in Midtown Sac. I work close by and frequently walk past this gem, but have always wanted to go in. Today, on a walk during our lunch, my friend and I decided to finally check it out. As soon as we walked in we were in awe of the variations of items they sell- the place smelt good too! They sell kitchen items like oven mitts, baking pans, kettles, knives and many more. They also sell travel infusers, mixers for alcoholic beverages, cute notary pads, stickers, essential oils, truffle oils, and of course, many more! The space is a little small so beware, but filled with so many goodies! When we went in, there were two ladies working, both very friendly and seemed to love being there to help- really great energy! They let us know that they are opening up another shop in Land Park! I ended up purchasing stickers. I didn't expect to end up there on my lunch, so I didn't have my wallet, luckily they accept Apple Pay! I'll definitely be back to SUPPORT LOCAL!

Yelp
Cute little gift shop for home cooks and socialite like myself who love to entertain A great place to find one of a kind gifts for family and friends who are foodies. My only criticism would be the hours. The hours are inconsistent I'm not sure if it's a staffing issue but they are leaving money on the table. I came here looking for a birthday gift, but they are closed on Sundays and most minor holidays. This is when folks are our and about, having brunch and shopping. But the customer service is always great. Just need consistent hours because sometimes it says open on yelp but they are closed.

Yelp
Awesome local shop with kitchen goods and housewares. The store has a good mix of pratical kitchen items and things that are just plain fun. Lots of great things for gifts, housewarmings, and general baking/cooking. The owner and employees are friendly and fun and can provide great recommendations. Make sure to check them out for different seasonal goods!

Yelp
Came here specifically for a souvenir magnet which I was so happy they had. This little shop was so incredibly cute I had to go through every little thing on the shelves I couldn't help it! I love the set up and the variety of Knick knacks and useful items for the home. I definitely recommend this small business!

Parched O.

Yelp
Great place, they have the most amazing kitchen stuff highly recommend checking it out

Yelp
Stopped by looking for those personalized gifts and as usual, there were so many cute knick knacks and local items. I picked up a few things and saw that they have soda stream replacements here. Interesting place for a soda stream replacement, but that's cool, I don't have to go all the way to bed bath and beyond to get it replaced! They do trade in foot the deposit too!

Yelp
Super cute kitchen and household goodies store! Sometimes I think that smaller boutique stores can be overpriced and stocked with non-sensical, useless items. Not so here. The Kitchen Table has so many whimsical but also functional items to use in your home. On top of that, the prices are very reasonable. This is a great place to find perfect hostess or birthday gifts. On my last visit, I ended up buying an adorable dishtowel that was decorated with a very useful 2019 cat calendar! I also appreciate that they support local artists and venders, but promoting and carrying their merchandise for sale. Staff was friendly, street parking was abundant. Be sure to make your way to the Kitchen Table for that thing that you never knew you really needed in your life, but now your life is better because of it. :)

Yelp
See this shop has good ratings. Not my experience. This goes back a few months. I went into the East Sacramento store looking for a specific item they had advertised. Was told they were out and I asked if they were getting more. The lady working the shop that day, did not know. She took my name and number to give to the store owner and I was to get a call. Waited 10 days and no call. So went back into the store and the owner was working it that day. Explained what I was looking for and that I thought they were to call me. She looked immediately behind her and found the post-it note attached to an upper shelve that the previous lady had left. Just unbelievable and certainly no apology. Went thru again what I was looking for, and she confirmed she was out. She then called her supplier of this item (while I was there) to see if she could get more. Some local person who lived over near 39th and J if I remember right. Did not connect and left a message. Told me she would call when she found out. Surprise, she did not. Since it has been a few months, doubt that she will. Just no follow-thru and not a way to run small business. Two big thumbs down.

Yelp
Visitors describe this spot with a lot of adjectives like "cute", "quaint" and "adorable." All these things are true, but what makes The Kitchen Table so wonderful is that it's locally owned and a unique concept. Finding it on an East Sacramento side street is like finding a hidden gem. Nearly everything they sell here makes a great home gift to yourself or someone else. The tiny rooms are filled with goodies from kitchen accessories to towels to cute signs to foods and hot sauces. It's all unique and you can tell there was a lot of thought put into what they stock. The lady who runs it is super sweet and patient with your questions. If you are looking for gift inspiration at any time of year, look no further than The Kitchen Table!

Yelp
What a gem this place is! I'm personally not a great cook but this store gives me hope that one day I can be. It's a very cute shop in a house and the staff are very kind. They have all kinds of cooking tools as well as products from local makers, like rubs, jams, sauces, soaps, etc. My first visit was during Christmas season so they had a TON of really cute ornaments and holiday themed decor and kitchen accessories. I'm a huge fan and can't wait to come back. Parking can be a bit tricky because it is on a narrow residential street but it's not half as bad as downtown. COVID Safety: As of right now they are open by appointment only. It's really easy to book a shopping appointment on their website, and if your party doesn't have three people they can book other customers. So I went by myself, and there was another couple there during the time that I was. When I arrived there was a huge sign in front of the door that asks everyone to wear masks and says that you need to have an appointment to enter. You wait outside until a staff member invites you in, and the staff asked me if it was ok that there were two other masked customers, I appreciate that they asked even though it said that there would be up to three when I booked on their website. They have hand sanitizer and the staff were wearing masks, and there was a plexiglass divider at the register. The front and back door were both open as well, it was a nice day out and wasn't too cold. I felt very safe, make sure to check their website before heading over, because the COVID restrictions keep changing. You can also shop online if you're concerned about in store shopping. :)

Yelp
The Kitchen Table is such a cute little shop with tons of goodies! It's a great place to buy gifts, or maybe just some things for yourself! We bought some spices (local to Sacramento!) and hot sauce, and prices were reasonable. The owner was very nice also. They often have pop-ups featuring other small business owners outside too, so follow them on Instagram to see what they've got coming up!

Yelp
You can only put so many things in a small space - but The Kitchen Table has won the prize for trying. The fully load store has most bases covered. Condiments, teas, cookware, locally sourced items, the list goes on. Come experience some of the local talents, this store is for YOU!

Yelp
Local, local, local and I love it. This shop has the best local items you could ask for. I am a huge fan. I ended up in here one day after attending Luchador's Coffee Truck Elite Perk. The second I stepped in, my eyes noticed all of the local items and I immediately started shopping. Some things I just had to have like the East Sac towel and Sacramento coasters with Crest Theater and The Capitol. The lady working there was very nice and super helpful. I was able to get people on my holiday shopping list some presents. I now have a nice local shop to attend for all of my Sacramento purchases. Thank you The Kitchen Table for having some super cool items for sale and for being so awesome.

Yelp
Beautiful, fun, adorable shop nestled in that sweet spot of great places as you enter East Sac right down the street from Coffee Works. I love this place. It always feels like that secret find where you know you won't leave empty handed. Some friends had just moved back from the Bay so we stopped in to put together a little house warming gift. For the humorous or sophisticated, they carry tasteful quality items for the home kitchen & chef and local items to celebrate our fair city. The feel inside reminds me of the Great British Baking Show. I think that's why I feel so happy when in this space. I should mention that they did a lovely gift wrap on our goods to save me the time & trouble. This is a locally owned small business that makes Sacramento such a wonderful place.

Yelp
I am a fan of all things kitchen. Was having lunch at an establishment across the way and ventured into this store. Was so happy I did. The store was filled with an excellent array of kitchen items. Eye spied a fridge only to find that they offer craft cold brew coffee and and assortment edible non baked cookie doughs. Just when things could not be better found out they host events and invite food trucks over - I found my kitchen nirvana. Check this place out. I already started my Christmas shopping with my first of many purchases from the Kitchen Table.

Yelp
Love this local shop! I came here for an evening event last week (which is really cool that you can rent the space for things like that). The atmosphere is so cozy and inviting -- love There food products are top notch. Great place to gift shop for any holiday or occasion. I found some super cute items here to put together for a last minute Valentine's Day gift -- cute cards, cupcake muffin tins shaped like roses, gluten free muffin mix and some gorgeous rose goat milk soap (Plus some super tasty mango jalapeño jelly that I sampled with goat cheese and crackers). Excellent!

Yelp
What a cute little gem! I actually discovered this place because another local business was holding a "Pop-Up Shop" inside The Kitchen Table and I wanted to try their products but after visiting the pop-up, I was drawn into all the wonderful items The Kitchen Table has to offer! They have holiday and seasonal items (wreaths, kitchen towels, decorations, plates, etc) as well as practical, everyday items and everything in between. As others have stated, this is the perfect place to find a special gift for someone at a reasonable price. They offer tons of locally-made products and gifts, which I love. The owner is super friendly and engaging and answers all your questions. I ended up buying an adorable felt-leaf wreath for Fall for my front door. Come support this awesome local business!

Katie W.

Yelp
This place is the absolute best! I decide to do some online shopping and the website was very easy to navigate and they have the cutest things. The customer service is also impeccable. I'm already back online to see if there's anything else I want to get. Thank you!

Rebecca G.

Yelp
I am absolutely in love with this store. The employees are outstanding (I always end up chatting with them), the selection is unbelievable (so much local stuff!), the decor/ setup is just adorable (I love that it's a home converted to a store). I have been here several times over the last year and highly recommend this store for unique gifts and local items :) godd luck leaving without purchasing!

Ria M.

Yelp
Amazing customer service. Susan offered to answer questions via text. I was able to order the products I wanted and picked up curbside. I will definitely be back!!

Yelp
My aunt and I visited this establishment yesterday while wasting a little time before my appt around the block to buy a wedding dress. When we walked in there was no one else in the store but the worker never looked up from her phone. She never greeted us. I know she knows we were there because my aunt sneezed and the worker said " bless you" but still never looking up from her phone. There were so many things I wanted to buy but decided not to based on the terrible customer service.

T G.

Yelp
This is my favorite store in Sacramento. Whenever I have to buy a gift for that person who seems to already have everything... this store gives me so many good ideas. I end up buying the best gifts for people. The products are such good quality and so so cute. I love supporting local businesses!

Yelp
I love, love, love The Kitchen Table!! Whether you are looking for something nice for yourself or the perfect gift for a friend or loved one, you are sure to find some wonderful items here! There is a darling array of unique cards, tea towels, aprons, glassware -- particularly if you are looking for neighborhood specific (sweet coffee mugs touting East Sac, College Greens, Land Park, River Park, etc.) items or something to show off your California pride. The prices are very reasonable and the atmosphere is lovely!

Yelp
Love this store! Several people had recommended it and I am so glad I went in-I was looking for gifts for hard-to-shop-for people and I found something for everyone. I picked up some great items for myself, as well, and I will be back!

Yelp
Glad I wandered in today. Very cute little space. It would be the perfect place to find a small, unique, gift at a reasonable price for a teacher, coworker, or a white elephant exchange. Left with a pink mercury glass candle holder for under $6 that I can't wait to use.

Rachael L.

Yelp
Ordered online and they hand delivered my order to my home in just a couple days! Amazing service and such great gifts! Definitely recommend

Yelp
What a great store. Lots of locally made goods and cool kitchen gadgets/decorations. Almost everything that is carried can be tasted before being purchased. I did quite a bit of christmas shopping here.

Emily Z. K.

Yelp
I love, love, love this place. Not only do they have a plethora of useful and novelty items (it's my go-to for gifts), but the owner is super sweet and down to earth. She goes out of her way to help without being pushy. I cannot wait for the store to reopen. In the meantime, I will be ordering items from her online stock. You should too!

Brian B.

Yelp
Smallish store, but really maximized space. Friendly staff and lots of unique items. Worth a visit!

Nancy S.

Yelp
If you believe in the Shop Local philosophy, add this shop to your list. Excellent array of local items and unique gifts, at reasonable prices. The Sacramento highball glasses featuring the Tower Bridge are a great addition to gift lists in this time of celebrating the town we live in (have you seen "Lady Bird" yet?). Stop in. You will enjoy it.

Carolyn B.

Yelp
Just received the most wonderful housewarming gift of a cute kitchen towel and a unique serving dish! Can't wait to use them both. Also loved the way it was wrapped.
