The Knock Back

Dog friendly. On this hot Portland sunny day, I enjoyed the water misters that line the outdoor seating area of this venue with filtered sunlight. This, was a very nice experience. The two young men that supported their duties for this venue were bright and smiling and friendly. The venue has a smaller menu but deceivingly, fresh and interesting. For example, I ordered the wedge salad with the grilled chicken. the salad turned out to be plump and fresh. The lettuce was nicely picked through and only the best pieces were given . The kitchen was bright and clear clean. I enjoyed the smile of the bartender and his willingness to oversee his room thoroughly and quickly. Good customer service.

We had been wanting to try this spot out for quite some time. Not only did it look like a great place to chill for drinks out by the patio with the firepit but also for their grill Cheeses that they are most known for. Not sure if it is the norm all of the time but they don't have table service. We ordered at the bar and picked up our food when it was ready. We were able to take advantage of the nice weather and eat outside on the patio. We tried the French Onion and the Veggie Sandwich with a burger patty on them. The grill they are able to get on the bread is awesome. Great crunch which added to the whole experience. They were flavorful and kept us craving the next bite. They were all decked out for Halloween with fun decorations. Looking forward to visiting again.

Check the vibe. Drove out for the opening night and was not disappointed. The laid-back vibe and bright and lively decor are the perfect ambiance for this area. Great cocktails, mocktails, beers, and spirits. Plus, the grilled cheese grill has great food at reasonable prices. Be sure to try the patty melt, cuban-ish, and all the others. I'm coming back for the French onion. Outdoor seating and indoor air conditioned. Great job!

I really like the updates that have been done here. There are plenty of seating area outside that's covered and a fire pit. The inside is pretty clean. You can order some beer on tap or some cocktails. They have a decent selection of spirits. The bartenders are pretty quick and friendly here. I'll definitely come back to try the food next time when there isn't a special event going on.

Friendly establishment with lots of drink options, from beers to frozen margaritas, hsppy hour specials, a good number of beers on tap, great covered patio with a fire pit where you can watch the people of Alberta Street come and go. Always a place to take a friend. Decent food selection, we love the fries, and there is never really a long wait.

Chill spot, dog friendly local hang with local folks. Food is disappointing every time though. My school has a better double burger for $4 less. Tried patty melt, chips and queso and the burger between three trips. Wont be back for food. Very womp womp :(

This spot was a highlight of my trip to Portland! Laid back vibes with killer drinks and amazing food. Do yourself a favor and try it for yourself. Ted is sure to take care of you!

DO NOT miss out on this hidden gem - 11 out of 10!! The bartender Ted makes the best drinks in town. French Dippy is incredible , make sure to get it with the garlic aioli and ranch sauces. Chefs kiss 💋 💋
