"On first glance, The Leary Traveler looks like your average divey spot where you might end up with mozzarella sticks from a freezer or chips and jarred salsa with your beer. Instead, The Leary Traveler actually has really excellent bar food. The fries and dipping sauces are worthy of slapping your friend’s hand away as they reach for some, the sliders are a kick in the teeth to other pubs in the city, and the entree chopped salad (with Manny’s pale ale brined chicken thigh, chickpeas, gyro meat, tomato, red onion, feta, romaine, spinach, and mustard vinaigrette) is insane - and probably will be your favorite thing here. Also, the servers are super friendly and you can bring your dog inside. Ok, we’ll meet you there in an hour." - Aimee Rizzo

We came to visit The Leary Traveler on a Sunday morning to try thier brunch. It was not busy which made for a nice quite, relaxed atmosphere. There was about 12 people there in a place that's seats 40-50people. The service was very good and the 1 server on duty was nice and very helpful. The food was pretty good. We had the open faced breakfast sandwich and the Eggs Benedict. Both were very tasty. On the open faced sandwich we were able to get chimichurri aoli and that was very good. They do not have a big breakfast menu but one that will satisfy. They are dog friendly and have a patio in the back. They bar is well stock with a lot of liquor with an emphasis on whiskey. They also has a good tap select with 12 taps. Parking as far as we can tell is street parking. All in all this is a place to visit for a drink or for food. Cheers.

Relaxing little pub. Great place for brunch on the weekends available until 3 PM. Lunch starts at 1 PM on the weekends, but the waitress let us order about 20 minutes earlier since we weren't feeling like brunch foods. Food did come out a bit slow, but everything was delicious. I ordered the French Onion Soup dip sandwich, which is basically a grilled cheese with a side of onion soup. Sandwiches come with your choice of fries (with aioli), yam fries, or soup/salad. I got the fries with garlic aioli which was an amazing combo. The aioli was very creamy.

Super dog friendly. Friendly service. 50/50 sliders was really good, the lamb gyro and steaks poutine were just ok.

Great beer selection, cozy little place. Apparently you can bring dogs, because everyone did! Service was a little slow, Friday night and only one waitress. Yam frites are to die for. Mini burgers with prosciutto were pretty decent. The reason we went was for the Mussels. We got Provencal, and like other reviews I had read, they are VERY spicy. Not enough broth or bread (maybe served in a dish that is wider and lower would help.) They also didn't taste the freshest. These were just OK. Nice place and we will be back! We'd like to try brunch, and they have board games.

On what appeared to be a slow time of day, our food order of two sandwiches took over 30 minutes to arrive. The server was unapologetic when we asked her about the delay, only at the end she tried to make it better by comping a beer. The food was pretty greasy and we ended up leaving most of it behind. Overall not a great experience and won't go back. They are dog friendly, though, which is nice.

We dropped in for a bite after a day at the beach. It was a surprisingly cool pub. The bartender/waiter, whose name I didn't get was very giving. I had the Argentinian pork sandwich with Belgian frites and garlic sauce. Delicious. My friends had the steak sandwich and the Manny's chicken sandwich. The Pig War White IPA was perfect for the meal. I would definitely recommend this place.

Google
Great food, comfortable and friendly! They conveniently deliver to Bad Jimmy's and they have a great patio. The food keeps getting better and better. Favorites right now - Waygu Buffalo Burger and the prime rib Thursday nights!

The food is amazing, the prices are quite reasonable, the staff is attractive, & they let me bring my sweet Pup, Fiona!!! Granted the best thing about this spot is that it's downstairs from the best tattoo shop, Black Tiger Killective. Blake made my skin beautiful then we had cocktails with our babies in tow. NICE!

Yelp
Did I just find my favorite gumbo and fried chicken spot in Seattle? YUP. Their 8oz gumbo is packed with flavor: house bacon, beef brisket, chicken, sausage, house cajun spice, okra, rice. Do not let the 8oz size fool you. S/T Hooligan's makes sure to pack the cup, and the soup is hot enough that it can endure a 15min drive without needing to be reheated. Perfect little cup to get through Seattle's rainy season. Their chicken and waffles is one of the more unique chicken and waffles I've found in Seattle. Paticularly with how the chicken falls off the bone but also the skin is perfectly crisp. It comes with regular syrup and also a spicy honey (that I found myself primarily using). The bbq rib plate was well balanced with the portion, and it was nice to have the option for the sauce on the side (reduces potential spills while driving). Similiar to the chicken, the ribs also melt off the bone. If you're a fan of sweets, try their seasonal bread pudding. Very sweet but it includes a scoop of ice cream which pairs nicely. The pudding can come out a bit 'burnt' but it really isn't noticeable. I will certainly be back again and will endeavour to work through their menu (looking at you, shrimp and grits). Run, do not walk, to try S/T Hooligan's.

Yelp
Traveled an hour to try " best rated chicken sandwich in Seattle" and I have to say that being underwhelmed is an understatement. This is one of the worst chicken sandwiches I've had in a while. I'm not kidding. The meat kind of smells, there's not much flavor, it's not even spicy. I also had awesome chicken entree which has chicken tenders with some side salads. It was on the same level as the sandwich. I really have to say it was almost nasty food. I can't believe this has such high reputation. What a waste of $40 ouch. 1/20/25 - Update and response to owners comment to my original review posted on 1/19/25 Here's a sharper and more assertive version of your response that will hold the owner accountable while calling out their behavior: It's unfortunate that instead of addressing my honest experience with your food, you've chosen to insult my integrity and deflect responsibility. Let me clarify a few things: 1. I didn't claim your restaurant officially markets itself as having "the best fried chicken sandwich in Seattle." However, I specifically traveled based on glowing reviews making that claim. Furthermore, as seen in my photos, you prominently advertise "Voted Best Fried Chicken in Washington State 2020" on your signage and website. 2. You dismissed my reference to chicken tenders, but the dish I ordered--your Awesome Fried Chicken Entree--contained a chicken breast, which was bland, unpleasant, and not remotely up to the hype. To quote directly from your website: "Awesome Fried Chicken (entree): Voted Best Fried Chicken in Washington State 2020 by Insider/Yelp. Young/tender chicken (thigh, drumstick, boneless breast), buttermilk brined, spiced flour dredged, creamy slaw, mac salad, spicy honey. Fried to order. May take 15 to 20 minutes." So yes, I referenced the dish correctly, and my experience with it was exactly as described in my review. To further support my claim, I'm including screenshots of your website. 3. Your response, implying I'm part of some fabricated "review-removal scheme" and dismissing valid criticism with a casual "Lol," says far more about your professionalism than it does about me. If this is how you handle genuine feedback, I can see why others might have reservations about your reputation. My review is based on an authentic and highly disappointing experience. I was genuinely excited to try what you boast as "Seattle's voted best fried chicken," only to find it far from deserving of such acclaim. To address your baseless insinuations, I'm also including a bank statement to confirm my visit and purchase. Instead of attacking customers, you'd do better to focus on improving your food and customer service. Responding with insults, denial, and arrogance only embarrasses you further--and it's clear your high ratings might not reflect reality as much as your hostility toward honest feedback. I'll also include a screenshot of your response, in case you choose to delete it one day.

Yelp
Stopped in here based on the photos and reviews and was not disappointed. The kitchen is pumping out excellent plates here. The truffle burger was perfect and subtle in the truffle department, not overpowering. The fried chicken sandwich had a kick alongside some great bright flavors. The shrimp and grits stole the show -- some of the best I've ever had and it's one of my favorite dishes when I see it on a menu. They also make all their cocktail mixers from scratch, but we weren't sipping tonight unfortunately. Want to come back to try those for sure. Service was very friendly and the bar itself is cozy and welcoming. Fantastic experience.

Yelp
Great vibes at this little creole restaurant located between Fremont and Ballard neighborhoods. There's a variety of seating options, self-serve house-made sauces sitting on the counter, and a big, glimmering bar piled high with a wide variety of booze. The chalk board will tell you the (awesome) variety of local beers on tap. This is a counter-serve spot with friendly, helpful service. We were sat immediately at their last available booth at 7pm on a Saturday. Now, for the food. The star of the show: the gumbo. The best I've ever had, despite having spent a few weeks in New Orleans. It contains a variety of meat (chicken, sausage, brisket) and flavorful broth piled atop a bed of rice. It's a tad smokey and a tad spicy. Mashed potatoes and gravy were excellent. The ribs had a bit too much sweet glaze for my taste but the meat was nice and tender. Slaw was A+. The award-winning fried chicken wasn't our favorite but we might have caught a bad batch. The white meat was dry and the dark seemed...questionable-y undercooked. The skin was crispy. Definitely needs a sauce with it. We wanted to love S/T Hooligans but we didn't quite get there this time. I have hope for our next visit. We definitely want to come back and try other menu items.

Howard L.

Yelp
Good food and service. We enjoyed the menu items and tried several things including gumbo. It was great.

Yelp
This was our first time here and we walked in not knowing what to expect. We were greeted and then sat at a table in the corner, and the staff was so friendly and warm and helped us through the process of ordering. The Southern combo was recommended to us and we added a side of mashed potatoes. The potatoes were so creamy and delicious and the gumbo was phenomenal! I am a picky eater and was a bit nervous but I ate every last bite! The chicken came after and we got the Caribbean jerk and the skin was so crunchy and perfect and the sauce was TO DIE FOR! We definitely will be back! I recommend the strawberry surfer to drink!! The restaurant is super cozy and dimly lit and was the perfect setting for a casual date night.

L D.

Yelp
Love, love, love this place. Rolled in cold and we were warmly greeted by the nicest folks ever. It was Margarita monday and we tried all three of the specials - so good! Small but truly inviting place. And the food...forget about it - AMAZING. Tried the mussels, nachos and tiramisu dessert. Everything is chef inspired and we can't wait to come back and try the chicken, gumbo and hush puppies. Thank you for making us feel like family.

Crystal H.

Yelp
I've been seeing S/T Hooligan's on multiple "must try" lists and I was happy to find out they were so close to my home! They're like an up scaled bar and southern food. I can see their hype for their fried chicken, I don't know how they get their skin so crispy without a being caked in breading, it was delicious. Their hushpuppies were so good and taste even better with their syrup. Gumbo and their shrimp and grits have big bold flavors. My southern boyfriend has never seen shrimp and grits served with bread, but though it was an amazing idea and made sense to have it that way. Service was quick and, the owner was nice and gave us recommendations.

Wistar K.

Yelp
Great local scene and wonderful food. Loved the burger we had and plan to come back and try more options.

Matt R.

Yelp
I was all set to visit NOLA in the spring of 2020 but something happened that year, can't bring it to mind. But I'm glad to know I can get outstanding Creole in my own hometown. S/T Hooligan's has me wondering how soon I'll be back for the Shrimp & Grits. But the Gangster Gumbo is so good it should be as illegal as rum running! Clean space & lovely service. Go there!

Stephanie C.

Yelp
This place allegedly has the best fried chicken in Seattle and I think it's a good contender for one. Regardless, they have an extensive food menu, plus countless mimosa flavors. Ample seating; It's quiet most of the day but definitely has the potential to be busy if it was in a better location.

Maka L.

Yelp
Best meal I've had since moving to Seattle. Fried chicken is cooked to perfection, jalapeño hush puppies are so dense and flavorful and they have their gumbo recipe down to a T! I'm not sure why I haven't heard anyone talk much about this place, it's a hidden gem (for now!) Service was incredible despite the evening being really busy. Will definitely be coming back! What a great establishment! Thank you!

Kristin P.

Yelp
I loved this brewery, great vibe, great staff, and great food. We got the fried chicken sandwich and mac and cheese. The Mac and cheese and the beers were especially good!

Cat P.

Yelp
Echoing the majority of other reviews, loved the food, drinks, and vibe here! Ordering raw oysters at a bar seems like a questionable choice but they were shucked well (no shell fragments), super fresh, and the mignonette was delicious. Cajun mussels are a must - my husband and I took turns sipping the broth at the end after the sausage/mussels/bread were gone. Fried chicken was super juicy. Happy hour timing is much longer than typical times in Seattle which is a huge plus. Parking lot has several spots but there was also plenty of street parking available on a Sunday afternoon. Service was really friendly. Definitely adding into my happy hour rotation!

Yelp
Takes bar food to a whole new level!! I don't even feel right calling it "bar food". Family owned spot with 12/10 food, drinks, and vibes. It feels warm inside and all of their food is flavorful and creative. The menu is definitely Filipino inspired with maybe some Hawaiian/Pacific Islander vibes too? Happy hour is so good it's sus, house made cocktail mix ins make drinks truly one of a kind. Every single thing we tried was above and beyond it's normal version. So good, the camera didn't eat first so sorry about that LOL. E.g. hush puppies had a fun orange zest, cajun mussels, burrito with 5 different sauces on the side. The bread pudding gets its own sentence bc couldn't be more perfect! The current seasonal flavor is pumpkin, but they're about to switch to candied ginger and looking forward to coming back for it. The owners made our group of 8 feel at home and we left well fed and truly content. Support this business!!!

Ashleigh S.

Yelp
Stellar bar food and great spot. They have music Wednesday nights, I believe, outside in the back. Also, somewhat random, but they have delicious lumpia! If you go later in the week, they may be sold out, so if this is important to you, go on a weekday! I got the baked Mac and cheese and I wish I could post videos on yelp because it came out absolutely bubbling. Very good, very buttery. The butter may have overpowered the cheese just a little bit (I know, why am I complaining, but I like a sharper cheese flavor). We also had the hushpuppies and fried brussel sprouts. I personally LOVED the brussels, and first time having hushpuppies I think which were a lovely fried corn bread ish with jalapenos and honey drizzled all over. The menu here is diverse and has many things for everyone. Their hot chicken sandwich also looked really good and massive. Next time, next time. Servers were great. Order at the counter. The two working came over and checked on us regularly after our food came out. All around good vibes, good food, and a little hole-in-the-wall spot that doesn't feel too cramped or overdone.

Ankit M.

Yelp
Numb with satisfaction while writing this review, the jerk chicken was just simply amazing and so good I can't wait to go there again. The service was friendly and we were given a complimentary dessert because they thought they were late on our Oyesters order (we did not think so) A must visit place if you love carribean/cajun food.

Michelle G.

Yelp
I found this place when I was in the neighbor today. Since they open at 12pm, I placed an Togo order and picked up at 12:15pm. Around 11:45am, I got a text that kitchen was preparing my order and another text about ready to pick up at 12:03pm. When I arrived, the ambience was dive bar, I asked server why they made my order so early. He told me because that was the only order regardless the pick up time. There was only ONE table just got sat. when I walked in. Although hush puppies and awesome chicken combo was good, I would have much preferred they honored pre scheduled pick up because we had to drive home. 10/28/2023 * Based on owners reply, I understand why this happened.

Brad O.

Yelp
The food was ok. I ordered the bbq brisket sandwich and split fries and mac and cheese with my girlfriend. The sauce on the bbq brisket is hot and smoky -- but not really in a good way. It tasted like a cigar dipped in hot sauce, but it was edible with the slaw. Mac and cheese and fries were both good with unqie flavors. I can still smell the rosemary fries! Cocktails seemed a bit watered down? Not sure, but something seemed missing in the 2 cocktails I ordered. Should've stuck with beer. $1 off beer during happy hour, which I took advantage of after 10:00 p.m. Service was friendly. Servers stopped by often and counter service is quick and easy. The staff always makes or breaks and restaurant, and they definitely win some points here! Overall, I would give it another try. But, I would order something different than the bbq brisket sandwich and cocktails.

Shawana L.

Yelp
Very impressed! The fried chicken had amazing texture, I just wish the seasoning was a bit more flavorful. The fries are a must get for the table. I'd definitely come back to try other things on the menu. One of the best places for HH for sure! Shoutout to the staff for being awesome!

Mike S.

Yelp
Fascinated by the fusion of Filipino dishes and Cajun. Very nice and dog friendly patio. Tasty food. Gangster gumbo was amazing. Wanted to "love" the rest, but honestly just "good." Still, a great find.

Yelp
Awesome experience and delicious food and drinks during my first visit on Sat., 8/17/24!! My friend and I sat on the outdoor covered patio and had an EPIC and ELECTRIFYING night (details further below). I devoured the BBQ ribs with mac salad and coleslaw, everything was fabulous! The BBQ sauce had a bit of a kick/spice, but not overpowering. The meat fell off the bones. My friend got the fried chicken and said it was delicious. The chicken looked like the perfect blend of juicy inside and crispy outside. The staff also surprised us with a free dessert, the tropical tiramsu, and the flavors were so unexpected and fantastic. Handcrafted cocktails were also on point and yummy! My friend ordered the Dark and Stormy cocktail and boy was it appropriate! There was a massive summer thunder and lightning storm and we comfortably watched it from the safety of the covered patio. Staff kept coming out to watch, too, because it was the biggest, loudest and most lightning-filled storm we've seen in years. We stayed dry on the patio but after about 1 hour of watching the storm while eating we decided to move inside. Turned out we were the only customers left. Essentially, the whole staff was there just for us. We all talked about the storm, shared squeals of delight as the storm roared overhead. It was a night to remember. Bummer I didn't take a single picture of the food or the storm. I can't rave enough about the entire experience, food, drinks, hospitality were all 5 stars. I'll be back to try brunch very soon! Thanks to the staff for a great night. :-)

Yelp
Arguably one of the weirdest dining experiences I've ever had. We were looking for a dog-friendly space to eat and drink, after our first spot was a flop. So based on the great reviews, we headed here. The outdoor patio is a small deck, filled with with what appear to be makeshift tables made of covered propane firepits--quite odd, considering the seats and "tables" are essentially at the same height and you're left eating your meal out of what feels like your lap. It's not so much an issue if you're just drinking, but truly an odd setup for those who wish to dine as well. As far as the menu, I guess you could say there's literally something for everyone--everything from burgers, to gumbo, to burritos, to hush puppies, and beyond. It was like eating around the world! There's also quite an extensive cocktail menu, but then no menus for what's on draft except inside the bar itself...I guess overall, it felt like everything was a bit all over the place and discombobulated. Food was a solid 3.5-4/5. The hush puppies were phenomenal (would highly recommend), the lumpia on special was pretty good, and if you walk away still hungry after ordering the nachos...well, that's your fault! ;) The nachos were massive and more than enough to split for 2. Overall, a good experience, but not one we were crazy about. I would be interested in trying one of their burgers, but otherwise, it's a one and done for us.

Michael S.

Yelp
Verdict: try this place! Creole food is extremely underrated in general - and more people need to know about how great it can be! It makes sense why this place is so highly rated. It seems grungy, but the vibe of this place is honestly awesome. My fiance and I arrived at 2pm on a bright sunny Saturday afternoon - it wasn't too busy, and they have Happy Hour (HH) from 1pm to 6pm today! The upstairs (outdoor) patio isn't "too" high up, but it's covered so even on a boiling hot sunny day, you're still shaded. My fiancé and I ordered four things (three on HH menu): - Cajun mussels - Spiseattle chicken sandwich (a la carte - HH) - Bal-mont burger (a la carte - HH) - jalapeño cheddar hush puppies (HH) I also ordered a Rojo red ale ($5 on HH). All-in (tax and tip) it was a shade under $75 USD, which, for two people on the weekend, is nice! Mussels were plentiful and had a nice level of seasoning to them. Burger was great, but didn't have pork belly (maybe this is the HH difference?), the chicken sandwich was juicy & flavourful, and the hushpuppies were quite delicious! Service was actually extremely fast - from when I put in my order to when we got all of our food took less than 35 minutes, and it's self-serve water and cutlery / takeout containers so it is very fast in that way.

Mat K.

Yelp
S/T Hooligans is one of Seattle best kept secrets! Creole, BBQ, Fried Chicken, cocktails, ect. This place does it all and it's some of the best I've ever had. My friends and I ordered a bit of everything on the menu to share. "OMG! Try this, now try that!" This place is insane! The kitchen here knows what they are doing. Our food came out hot, fast, and cooked to perfection. Great portions at good prices, excellent flavors, absolutely DELICIOUS! We were stuffed. The beer and cocktails menus are REALLY good too. Bonus: There was plenty of seating, restaurant was very clean, and the staff were friendly, outgoing, and knowledgeable. They constantly checked in on us, cleared the table, and made sure we were having a great time. This will be one of my new must go to spots. S/T Hooligans is doing everything right and it doesn't get much better than this! Get the jalapeno-cheddar hush puppies!!!

Ken B.

Yelp
S/T Hooligan's. My apologies, I wasn't familiar with your game. When I first walked in, I wasn't sure what I was getting myself into, I even questioned whether there would be good food here. Boy was I wrong. We ordered the fried chicken plate and mushroom truffle burger and the food was excellent. Plus they make their own hot sauces (some spicy bad boys too). One of the better fried chicken joints in Seattle, and mushroom burger was huge and tasty. Mac salad was solid, nothing to write home about. Ambiance is like a high end dive bar and you make all your orders at the bar. Probably the best bar food you can get in Seattle, at least of what I've experienced so far.

Craig B.

Yelp
This has quickly become my favorite place in Seattle. The Food, Service, and Atmosphere are all amazing. They have a great patio that is dog friendly, a huge bonus for us.

Erica Z.

Yelp
Got the Shrimp & Grits, only positive was the egg was surprisingly crispy but the dish was insanely salty. There is an overwhelming amount of very salty sauce that left no room for the shrimp and grits themselves to breathe. The only way to finish this dish was to pack it to go and add water and a bowl of rice at home.

Peter N.

Yelp
Was staying in Ballard and decided to take the walk over to S/T Hooligan's. We got here in time for a special they were running which gave a side item (Fried Brussel Sprouts), a main (spicy fried chicken entree), a dessert (caramel bread pudding), and a beverage (blackberry sage cider I think). The brussel sprouts were crispy, salty, and had an unexpected surprise (some raisins soaked in bacon grease) that made this dish an instant hit and set the bar high for the rest of the meal. The spicy chicken was crispy, sweet and juicy, with just the right amount of spice. The homemade pickles were incredible. The slaw was juicy and paired perfectly with the chicken. And the macaroni salad reminded me how good macaroni salad is when done well. This dish was recommended by the bartender (did not catch her name unfortunately). The bread pudding was the perfect finish to this meal. Sweet, moist, and hot. Paired with the ice cream it was a perfect end to the meal. Everything is ordered at the bar and is brought to you when ready. The service was exceptional and I heavily relied on recommendations that never disappointed. I ate on the patio which gave a nice shaded experience, with a comfortable outdoor environment. Highly recommend to anyone who appreciates quality in every aspect in a restaurant.

Sharon F.

Yelp
Everything was awesome!! The table favorite were the shrimp and grits and the chicken. Gumbo and shrimp and grits flavor were both so deep. Highly recommend either of them! The fries were crispy and hot, and the sauce pairing was also perfect. The chicken sandwich was really good as well - whatever sauce on it was amazing. And the chicken entree was also great, but the star of that dish was the mac salad. We came on a Thursday at 6pm and there was no wait, which is surprising that this place is such a hidden gem! They have nice patio seating outside, so would recommend going on a nice day since the inside is a little dark. Lots of street neighborhood parking nearby. Love it! Will definitely be back. They also have a generous happy hour until 9pm on tuesdays and thursdays! everything on the menu is like a dollar off!

Alex N.

Yelp
Holy buddha this place is the best creole food I've ever had. They're known for the fried chicken but tbh its okay. We got the gumbo, mussels and shrimp and grits and all of them slapped. We ordered bread on the side just to dip it into the mussels butter juice, i would sip that sauce so fast. Cool little spot and great drinks as well, would def return.

T C.

Yelp
Ordered online. nowhere does it share that the bbq sauce is spicy af. so after Waiting for 40 mins both 19.00 sandwhiches that ended up in the garbage after one bite. they looked NOTHING like the sandwich in the picture. the cane wrapped tight like a burrito. MAJOR disappointment.

Danielle M.

Yelp
We've come here quite a few times and it has always been so yummy. We've tried the hush puppies and the fried chicken wings and sandwich is also great. They are dog friendly as well.

Julian G.

Yelp
I only reserve a perfect star review for places you should plan your day around. HOWEVER, - THIS PLACE IS TOTALLY WORTH YOUR TIME AND A MUST TRY AT LEAST ONCE! While they do peacock quite a bit around their fried chicken, I must say that it's very VERY unique and may not scratch that fried chicken itch. Don't get me wrong; the skin is almost like a chicken pork rind, while being seasoned very well and juicy down to the bone. It's just not what comes to mind when I think "Fried Chicken" BUT I can see craving this 100%. The Jalapeño Fritters seems like they belong in a higher class restaurant - that's to say - they're amazing and you should get an order of these. This place is great and if im in the area. I would totally make this place a priority!

Judi A.

Yelp
Oysters on the half shell don't get enough attention here. So ocean fresh and tasty! Excellent with a squeeze of lemon and a dash of their homemade hot sauce or mignonette! Yummm!

Robin B.

Yelp
Love it. Everything we've had has been delicious. Fried chicken sandwich, Brussels sprouts, muscles, gumbo are all great

Paul R.

Yelp
Very high prices: two beers, one sandwich, mac&cheese, one bread pudding desert. $78.00 -Crazy high!! First time-Last time for my wife and I. The bbq brisket sandwich was super spicy, we couldn't finish it and took it back due to our mouths being on fire-not the brisket sandwich I was expecting. The other food was fine-but way over priced. Wish we went to Taco Time instead, better food and I'd would've saved $50

Odulami B.

Yelp
I had the pleasure of dining with some friends in Ballard at this quaint, inconspicuous food stop. The staff is one of the friendliest I've experienced in the states. Real people delivering that Ohana feel from start to finish. This is a great place for a special meet up or watching your favorite team. To top it all, the food is delicious. I sampled the fried chicken, chicken sandwich and jerk... all prepared to distinct perfection. Seattle has a lot of great stops but this place is special.

Yelp
S/T Hooligans is a small spot in Ballard on Leary Way serving up Cajun and Creole comfort food, plus other American classics! There aren't that many tables but plenty of seats at the bar. They were voted the best fried chicken in Washington state in 2020 and it definitely lives up to the hype. The southern style fried chicken is well seasoned and super juicy, even the breast! I thought the bal-mont burger was the real surprise. The pork belly on top really sends it over! Gumbo is solid but the brisket sandwich was unfortunately underwhelming. Too much bread and not enough brisket. Overall, highly recommend this spot if you want good, hearty comfort food Follow my Instagram and TikTok @thephotographerfoodie! :)

Yelp
Was really excited to try this place out after seeing it got voted as Best Fried Chicken in WA State 2020. But sadly, I was a bit let down. There are definitely crispier fried chicken places out there and the sauce that it got coated with seemed like just a milder version of barbecue sauce it also wasn't the slightest bit spicy, even though it said on the menu it would be. I also ordered the Gangster Gumbo, which I found to be decent. I did however find it a bit lacking in flavor and rice.

Yelp
I wish I had thought to take pictures of the food, but unfortunately would only be able to take pictures of the damage. It was. SO good. Great place to stop on a ballare brewery tour for some sustenance. Great house made cocktails, friendly service. Kindof hard to go back to the breweries.

Yelp
The food and drinks are delicious! Especially the homemade cocktails and creative mocktails. The hospitality is warm, welcoming which makes it a great place to gather. Don't miss the special bread pudding for dessert!

Yelp
I'd come here anytime someone would suggest it. Great happy hour but the customer appreciation menu they have till July 2nd is a great deal for someone who has been wanting to try this place but hasn't yet. It's a great deal $35 not including tax or tip for three courses and a beverage. My friend and I hadn't seen each other in awhile and we decided to come here her first visit. We ended up closing the down catching up arrived around 5:30 the promo runs till 6pm. I usually go with the OG Gumbo which to me is one of the best in Seattle We both went with the Amazing Fried Chicken for our entrees but had different starters and desserts so my friend could try more.. We went with brussel sprouts and the hush puppies for our starters. I' e bad the hush puppies before but this was my first time having the brussel sports both are great selections there are onions and dried cranberries in the brussel dish. The hush puppies are always good everything is made to order and always comes out nice and hot which I appreciate. My friend has friend that are regulars so we added the red rice with sauce and the lumpia which was a special the night we were there last Saturday. We had the bread pudding and tropical tiramisu as our desserts. Our beverages of choice were there fermented cocktails which they're known for I had the Gin Gin and my friend had the Josephine. Chicken is always moist here and not overly coated comes with coleslaw and mac salad. Lumpia came out piping hot was delicious I liked the jalapeño vinegar sauce the other sauce was a sweet chili. My friend loved the spicy honey sauce that comes with the chicken I know it's not too spicy cause she can't do a lot of spice. Service was awesome from the bartender to the server. We wrapped up the evening with additional cocktails my friend had the Grismargie and I had a non fermented was feeling like a bloody mary. We were able to chat with the owner/chef Rodel he's always so kind. Definitely looking forward to my next visit.

Yelp
This was the last stop of our Bread Pudding Part 1 Tour. I was really excited to add this place to the list since I had been wanting to come eat here. I heard so many good things about this place, and after eating here...I just thought it was ok. We tried the Fried Chicken, Jalapeño Hush Puppies and Bread Pudding. We ordered half spicy and half regular, but only received regular, which was kind of disappointing because I wanted to see what the heat level was. The chicken was ok, the jalapeño hush puppies were ok and the bread pudding was ok too. Overall, it was just ok - nothing to call home about

Yelp
This place is amazing! Option to sit indoors/outdoors. You can enjoy the breweries and order food from here. Service is amazing, restaurant is clean and great menu options. I'm a pescatarian but based on the volume of chicken wings orders I've seen with my groups of friends, I can tell you those wings are delicious. My personal favorites are the hush puppies, Mac n cheese and their grilled cedar salad. Mac and cheese is so creamy and perfect for when you sitting outside by the fire pit, people watching and enjoying a yummy glass of wine. If you are a fan of coconut, you must try the coconut tiramisu and the warm pudding Great selection of wine and other alcoholic beverages. This place is a must try. Being a pescatarian would love to see some fish options here

Yelp
Don't just go there for the best crafted fermented cocktails in all of Seattle You need to go there for the fried chicken, it's amazing I mean down right awesome chicken. The chicken sandwich will make you dance. The gumbo made me cry. There is so much more great looking dishes but I can't get passed the chicken sandwich and fried checked plate I don't like margaritas until I was forced to indulge the champagne margarita. Slap my face it was dam delicious. The staff are all so great too, they are all so friendly.

Yelp
A Fremont native recommended this restaurant. Went on a Thursday night and welcomed by live music. We ordered at bar and sat ourselves. I ordered the Shrimp and grits, which might be the best I've ever tasted. Loved the Cajun flavor. Husband had the truffle burger. The first beer was flat but staff exchanged it for no charge. For dessert we had the tropical tiramisu. All of the food was delicious. The beer was unimpressive. Will definitely return!

Yelp
Definitely a must visit if you're in Ballard. I saw an Instagram page post about their champagne margaritas and was excited to try them out. My family is from the South and I love Cajun/Southern food. The restaurant is on the small side and was packed (weeknight). I don't think they accept reservations so I would suggest getting their as early as possible. There is outside seating with heaters. The menu is quite expansive and had everything from gumbo to burgers. I decided on the fried chicken, roasted brussel sprouts, fries and fried chicken. I was extremely excited to try the chicken as it was touted as the best in the city. While everything was pretty good (including the champagne margarita), the chicken was disappointing. It was burned on some sides, on the dry side and needed more seasoning. The mac & cheese was amazing. I would definitely visit again as there were a number of items I want to try and the customer service was excellent. Great find!

Yelp
Fried chicken? More like buffalo chicken wings. 1 drumstick,1 thigh, and a chicken breast fried up then tossed in sauce. That's not your typical buttermilk battered fried chicken. Sides (mac salad and coleslaw) were 4 out 5. Fried chicken was crispy with a spicy/sweet sauce. It's alllllrightttt. Don't know what the hypes all about. You can get this at wing stop or BWW but with wing/drumettes. The mussels were decent tho!
