The Lincoln Hotel (Biddeford, Maine) 1 Verified Reviews | Tablet Hotels

"A beautiful red-brick industrial building from the early 1900s is the raw material for the Lincoln Hotel, a 33-room luxury boutique hotel that is, by a considerable distance, the most attractive lodging in the riverside town of Biddeford, Maine. This old textile mill retains many of its original, well-worn architectural features, and they’re complemented by an eclectic array of interventions, some clean-lined and modern, others elegantly Art Deco or whimsically postmodern. The rooms benefit from warehouse-style high ceilings; there’s a rooftop pool, a café, a lobby bar, and a restaurant, Batson River Brewing and Distilling." - Tablet Hotels

My wife and I stayed for one evening while taking in the sights on our return to Boston. When we arrived the check in desk was three guests deep and moved REALLY slow so bring along a dose of patience. After that we admired the renovations and enjoyed our accommodations. We spent a restful night here. The lobby bar had a female vocalist piano player that set the mood and made us feel at home. Pretty groovy place for sure.

This hotel was a pleasant surprise. Just walking into the lobby you’re taken back by the moody, eclectic vibe, but it’s so tastefully done that it makes you want to stay awhile. The rooms follow the same pattern as the lobby, but are so cozy and inviting. The exposed brick and high ceilings are incredible! The beds are so comfortable, you’ll never want to leave.

This is our second stay at the Lincoln. While Biddeford has some renovation going on, its truly encouraging to see how the town is beginning to revitalize. The hotel is the pinnacle of the downtown area. when you walk through the doors, you could be in any posh hotel in any city. the rooms are very large, well thought out design, nice big windows (urban view) and this is a hotel where you may want to spend some time in the room. there's a few restaurants within walking distance, Portland is about a 20 minute drive and Batson River restaurant is right downstairs. our only negative would be the breakfast choices are ok but they are a coffee bistro's not a restaurant. the coffee is excellent and the barista is very attentive. drinks at the bar were top notch and the vibe was very vibrant. great bartender!

There’s a lot to like at the Lincoln. We spent two nights here with two other couples, on our way to Boston after a wedding farther northeast in Maine. ||It’s a brilliant adaptive reuse of the historic building. Everything inside the Lincoln is fitted out to luxury standard. The lobby is super welcoming and we enjoyed drinks at the bar and playing cards late into the night. ||Our room on the third floor was large, cool and comfortable. Only complaint - the very dim lighting in the bathroom and lack of a full length mirror. Fortunately, the third floor elevator lobby is lined with mirrors so all you had to do was step outside your room to check out how you looked head to toe. All the fittings and fixtures are very high-end, they spared little expense in building out the Lincoln. ||Batson River in the lower level has a great vibe and excellent food. ||We also dined at Pacifico nearby and of course went to the Palace Diner for breakfast.

We had no issues. Staff were helpful and available. Hotel was very clean and comfortable. Especially the lobby with its numerous seating arrangements. The room was amazing. The architect and attention to detail down to the littlest detail was extraordinary.|The restaurant Baston River restaurant was just as elegantly designed. Waitstaff was attentive and food was very good delivered quickly and hot.|I have no issues with either establishment and would go again as soon as we are able

Booked a two nights’ stay based on a recommendation from a friend. Unfortunately, central AC was broken from the moment we arrived. A loud, portable unit was available, but kept us awake all night.||The front desk team, who worked limited hours, was unable to accommodate a change of room or allow us to checkout without forfeiting the full nights’ stay. After multiple conversations, they provided a small discount as an accommodation. Still, I wouldn’t book this hotel again or recommend it to others. ||The lobby bar was nice. Self-parking was easy. The gym was better than most. The town of Biddeford was fine. Magnus on Water was fantastic, but I’d leave it at that.

Everything about our stay here was exactly as we had hoped it would be. My only sad note is we didn't get to spend as much time in our room as I would have liked as we were visiting friends in the area. The front desk staff greeted us warmly upon our arrival. The lobby - which we had seen before during a prior visit for dinner - is beautiful and luxurious. However, it was the room itself that took our breath away. It is simply gorgeous, inviting, and oh so comfortable. The brickwork from its past life as a factory is showcased alongside modern amenities and design. I slept incredibly well; possibly even better than in my own bed at home, which is rare. The bed was super comfortable, and the blackout curtains did a great job of keeping the morning light out of the room. The shower was really nice - very roomy with a shower head and nice, hot water. The sink/shower area and toilet are separate, so 2 people can get ready at the same time, which is a nice touch. Honestly, the only tiny detail I can think of for improvement is that there is no place to hang a hand towel for drying your hands after washing up at the sink. My husband and I have spent hundreds of nights in hotel rooms as we travel often, and this is hands down one of our favorites. Highly recommend.

This property is absolutely beautiful and the renovation of the old mill is incredible. All area of the property are stunning. Room excellent, lobby bar really cool, Batson restaurant downstairs is outstanding. Definitely the nicest place to stay in or near Portland.

Yelp
Lovely lobby and cocktail bar. Just charming, especially during the holidays. Since our last visit however, they have taken ALL appetizers off the menu. There's not even pita bread and humus,no crackers, no cheese slices NOTHING. We went to,Bartson River downstairs for dinner as planned, ( very good) but we still wanted something pre dinner to soak up some of the alcohol. They used to offer charcuterie and a few other choices . They need to bring it back!

Yelp
Love the atmosphere of the bar. Drinks and wine selection are ok. I wish you could get some apps though.

Yelp
Beautiful. Reasonably priced. Great staff. Comfy beds. Everything was perfection. Located in the heart of town within walking distance of great food and quaint shops.

Yelp
This hotel is absolutely gorgeous. There's multiple spots in the lobby to sit with your drink and relax. The rooms are large with the most comfortable king sized beds. The roof top pool wasn't yet when we stayed, but we can't wait to go back when it is. The staff were very friendly and responsive. Our room was quiet; we never heard our neighbors. I'm not sure if that's because of the rooms or just the small size (33 rooms) of the hotel. As a female traveler, I do wish there was a deadbolt on the room doors. But you do need a room key to operate the elevator, so there is a little protection.

Yelp
We stayed overnight at the Lincoln and enjoyed the rest. First thing you notice upon entering is how beautiful the space is. Secondly is the overpowering scent. It is their signature scent that is piped thru the lobby area. I'm not normally bothered by scents but this is powerful & knowing several friends that can't tolerate perfume smells I'm sure some clientele would be physically uncomfortable. The room itself was beautiful & large. High ceilings & fireplace. Very well done. No perfumed air. We had dinner downstairs at Batson River. Very nice. Great bar.

Yelp
We had a really good time at the bar. Didn't eat but had a couple cocktails that were professionally made and served in a professional manner. We enjoyed our time at the bar and look forward to coming back for food.

Yelp
Phenomenal...beautifully renovated mill building. Lobby area bar with excellent cocktails and some food with more coming soon from Batson River. Can't say enough about the beauty of this space, as well as the delicious drinks and service. Haven't tried food but will update when I do.

Yelp
if you're looking for upscale drinks in Biddeford (and can afford the prices,) this is the place for you, Our drinks were delicious! The Hotel Lobby bar reminds one of something out of the Old Port or San Francisco. Love how there are great niche places for small groups to gather and enjoy a beverage! Looking forward to seeing what the addition of Batson River's food and drink menu will do to keep people coming back because paying $20 for the tiniest charcuterie board ever leaves you feeling a tad hungry.

Yelp
This review is based only on the bar. I'm sure their rooms are pricey but gorgeous. My husband and I had enjoyed a fantastic dinner at Pacifico and left wanting a nightcap, so we decided to try out the new, fancy, Lincoln. This was Saturday night, and while there were people there it wasn't crowded or packed by any means. We were wowed by the beautiful interior decor-- and we sat down on a leather couch to pick out cocktails. Within 10 minutes a cheery young lady popped over with some handheld device to take our order. My husband ordered his cocktail, their version of a martini (yes, on the menu), at $15 a drink, and she raised an eyebrow as if she was unsure of its existence. Fast forward almost 25 minutes. We watched couples come in, trios, etc., watched the bartenders laughing, making their drinks, shaking and pouring... and not one single martini. Unsure of how to proceed, we didn't want to seem needy, at the 15 minute mark we said maybe let's just see if someone comes over? At 23 minutes of waiting for one drink... we left. You can keep your pretentious bar, Lincoln. If you're hoping to overlook people, ya nailed it!

Yelp
Great setting but expensive wine. $12 for 3 or 4 oz max. Beer $8 (craft only). I understand one has to make money but it felt like too little or too much $ on drinks. I just wanted to give fair review

Yelp
I'm confused why this is a not more highly rated. Family friendly and amazing. One of the nicest hotels we have stayed in. Everyone is super friendly even to our young kids. Would def recommend this to families visiting Maine. The hotel restaurant and bar were amazing too and the pool.

Yelp
Swanky atmosphere. Reminiscent of a 1920's NYC gentlemen's club. Dark, sophisticated, classy. But. You're still in Biddo. Two yummy cocktails, two mediocre happy hour apps. $64 before tip.

Yelp
We visited the lobby bar of the Lincoln Hotel for the first time since its opening. The décor is very upscale yet fun. There is ample seating with lots of great conversational areas. It was a busy late Saturday afternoon when we visited. There was only one server who was working the lobby to take orders. We are very understanding and patient with staffing constraints. You cannot walk up to the bar to place an order. We waited 10 minutes for our order to be taken which we did not have an issue with. My husband's beer arrived within in a few. My drink which needed an additional ingredient didn't arrive for another 15 minutes. I would have preferred to just order a different drink had I known there would such a lengthy delay. We will be back. It is a very cool spot. Looking forward trying Batson River when they open there soon.

Yelp
I'm sitting here in the lounge. Been here multiple times and it's the same poor and ridiculously slow service. There is one waitress for the entire lounge! It's Christmas week and it's packed. I've watched a few parties get up and leave after having received no service after 40 minutes of waiting for their drink orders to be taken! While the ambiance is beautiful, the service does not match. I'd rather make the trek to Portland at this point.

Yelp
LOVE, LOVE, LOVE this hotel! The staff at the Lincoln Hotel were very friendly and super helpful! Our experience was amazing! The beds were beyond comfortable and the rooms were very clean. The entire hotel is so unique and eclectic! The interior designer is spot on with every little detail! I can't wait to go back!!

Yelp
Bartender was very stressed out and rude. Expensive drinks with very little quantity and quality. Would rather spend my hard earned dollar elsewhere where bartenders are not rude and drinks are of better quality.
