Best Charleston Bars Lounges | Eater Carolinas

"Ultra chic hotel The Dewberry is a must-stop for a drink in the Living Room. One of the most stunning settings around, the space replaces the traditional lobby. The menu offers classics and unique takes on classics, like the Panic Button with bourbon, Campari, Averna, Cherry Herring, and lemon. The cocktails are as stunning as the room. For some rooftop action, head upstairs to the hotel’s second bar, the Citrus Club." - Erin Perkins

The Best Burgers in Charleston

"Posh hotel the Dewberry isn’t the first place you’d look for a big meaty burger, but its stunning midcentury modern bar, the Living Room, offers a great example of the usually humble offering. The high-quality beef is topped with onions, bordelaise, Emmenthal cheese, a potato bun, and a tiny cornichon on top. Pinkies up." - Erin Perkins

15 Best Bars in Charleston | Condé Nast Traveler

"Put your phone in your pocket. Resist the urge Instagram as you enter the expansive lobby. You're too cool for that, remember? That brass bar is impressive and gleaming over there, and those white dinner jackets the bartenders are wearing are a nice touch.  It's rare that a hotel bar in Charleston becomes a locals spot, but that's exactly what happened here. Award winning, unapologetically fancy, classic cocktails and inventive originals are available. There are custom ice cubes, negroni riffs poured out of coconuts on silver trays, and brandy snifters full of rare, top shelf whiskeys." - Stephanie Burt

The Living Room is the main bar at The Dewberry Hotel, at ground level off the lobby. It’s full of cozy seating, and that’s really all there is to it. The “bar” itself is very small and may or may not have any seating. When I was there today, there were no bar stools at the bar. The bartender was friendly and responsive, said I could order a drink, take a seat out there somewhere, and they’d bring it out to me. I did, and it was a solid Old Fashioned. No one ever came to check on me or bring the bill.

Looking for the perfect spot to unwind with a drink before dinner or a cozy date night? Look no further than this elegant hotel bar at the Dewberry. Their Old Fashioned is the stuff of legend (trust me, I've had my fair share!), and the live music on Saturdays adds the perfect touch of ambiance. With its intimate atmosphere and expertly crafted cocktails, this place is a must-visit for anyone seeking a sophisticated pre-dinner experience or a romantic evening.

Me and my friends came in here desperate not knowing what to eat, it was getting late and everything was closing soon, the last restaurant we went to service was not that great and we was so hungry. A server named Meagan helped us with a lot of steak options around downtown, because we wasn't aware of how small the menu was before we came in. She sold the hell out of the smash burger! Their service was literally so amazing, that we eventually gave in and stayed! They saved the night and the birthday girl was pleased! I wish I remember our other server but she was very very helpful as well. They really made us feel 10x better after a bad run with a restaurant . The burger was amazing ! The fries are similar to McDonald’s fries but they were sooooo much better and fresher . Our server bought out this sweet and spicy popcorn while we decided if we was gonna stay and it was bomb ! I’ll never forget this experience it was so refreshing after a disappointing night !

The mid-century modern, Eisenhower-era decor is an unexpected and intriguing change from the Old South architecture of Historic Charleston. Searching for a happy hour with refreshing drinks after a long walk from Market Steet, I wandered inside and spotted The Living Room. I settled back into an attractive, low-legged orange velvet chair and took my chances on a margarita. After a run of bad takes on this classic drink, it was dice roll for me. Well, I won. The complementary candied popcorn had a kick of spice, something I wouldn't have ordered but glad I experienced. In all, The Living Room's low key, 1950s classy style makes it a perfect choice for the well-dressed happy hour group and the parched solo sipper.

We are staying in the hotel and have loved a relaxed afternoon in the lounge. Service is 10 star. All the team are amazing and go above and beyond. If your looking a welcoming place to relax then look no further

The Livingroom at The Dewberry is my go-to spot for a fantastic dining and hangout experience. The bar's beautiful ambiance, relaxing environment, and live music on Saturdays create the perfect setting for breakfast, dinner, or late-night drinks. The food is truly phenomenal, with the best vanilla latte and fresh daily pastries in the city. Chef Jenn's "From the Bakery" selection of three pastries is a must-try. Don't miss out on The Brass Bar's secret menu; the Sazerac is a personal recommendation. Having dined here numerous times, I can attest to the consistent excellence in service, food, and ambiance. The Livingroom at The Dewberry remains an outstanding choice for any occasion. Highly recommended!

The envy of all other lounges, The Living Room was a super cool experience. As you walk in, you seat yourself where available and find yourself immersed in the perfect vibe for a night out. We found ourselves on a couch in the center of the room, which was beyond comfortable, surrounded by great conversation and live music. After snacking on some caramel and smoked chili popcorn we ordered some drinks and garlic hummus which were divine. It just felt like you could sit there all night as if you were in your own living room, they really captured the concept they were going for. Will definitely be back and recommend to anyone looking for a relaxing night out.
