5 Exciting Things To Do & Eat In NYC Between December 15th-21st - New York - The Infatuation

"For Night of the Radishes, a Oaxacan holiday tradition, people carve intricate designs into radishes for festive displays at Christmas markets. You can join in on the fun with a pre-dinner carving kit at HOWM Cocina & Cocktails as you wait for your jalea mixta and enjoy the churro bar. If your radish isn’t ready for the MoMA, there will also be a local artist on site to create carvings for dinner guests to take home as ornaments." - neha talreja

The place is BEAUTIFUL. Definitely instagrammable and also just delights the senses. It was pretty empty when we came so I don’t how it is when it gets busy but the service was great. And the food was fantastic! We shared a plate of the mini churrasco and it was *chefs kiss*. The guacamole was the biggest portion I’ve seen in ages and the octopus had a lovely sauce (but more chewy than I’ve had in the past). The drinks were STRONG :) All in all - we loved our dinner here and would totally go again.

Service was great! Food was delish must get the guacamole portion was big. The chicken was also great and papas bravas. The only thing I did not love was the cocktails.

I took my son there yesterday evening….we loved the creative twist on Mexican fare…the Chimichurri Steak was out of this world! The cocktails were works of art with infused herbs and combinations that are simply amazing! I wanted to try them all! The staff are super friendly and helpful…our waiter Paul showed us around. There are multiple indoor and outdoor seating areas all beautifully decorated. The art and decor are beautiful! This is a must for anyone who appreciates a fabulous culinary experience! Highly recommended

We enjoyed our time at Howm, we had a little confusion when a sign outside said Selena but once we entered it was truly beautiful and very chill. The staff is super friendly and the food was good and drinks fun and yummy. I would go again

Went to their puppy brunch today for the first time with some friends. We sat inside because it rained but still very spacious for all the beautiful pups! Most of our table got the burger with yuca fries, which was delicious. My Cockapoo Luna also enjoyed her chicken and veggie meatball (she wasn’t too sure about her dessert). My one critique would be I wish they had more entree options for both humans and pups. The menu seemed very limited.

Excellent experience! Indoor & outdoor dining. Small plates are plenty for 2 people to share. Friendly staff! Ya gotta try it!

I had lunch at HOWM the other day and I ordered the house salad. Overall taste and presentation was good. Palm hearts gave the salad the extra kick. Might repeat when in the area - the atmosphere of the space is great to spend more time.

What a wonderful and charming place. The food quality is a gastronómica delight. The Guac is by far the most amazing I’ve had in NYC. The sweetness and creamy of the avocado with the temperature and tastes of the spices it was amazing indeed Our server Quay was just as charming as the setting. It was a multidimensional treat. I must add to my review since I came back again today to enjoy the food! The charm and kindness of the staff is accented by the pure delight of the food. Heat tempered with saltiness and the sweetness of the shrimp. It’s is a texture taste experience.
