Welcoming spot for elevated comfort food, craft beer & cocktails in snug, exposed-brick quarters.
"The Local is a casual pub in Coral Gables where you can go to either drink, eat, or both. The menu consists of heavy (but good) things like fried chicken, honey butter cornbread, and a very good double cheeseburger on a potato bun. It’s not a big restaurant, but there’s lots of bar seating and some outdoor tables too." - Ryan Pfeffer
"CORAL GABLES — After 10 years in business, The Local Craft Food & Drink (150 Giralda Avenue) is closing its doors on June 19. The eatery announced on Instagram that it will be closing its doors for good at its current location, but the restaurant group isn’t gone for good saying a new “exciting project” would be announced “very soon” saying that they would be staying in the Coral Gables area for their next venture. Stay tuned for more details." - Olee Fowler
"I had not been since chef Phillip Bryant left and was pleasantly surprised to see that the flavor was still there plus some nifty cocktails, too." - Olee Fowler
"Tucked into the middle of Giralda Avenue is The Local. Here there’s a hearty menu serving southern classics with a twist. French toast lovers will enjoy its take on the usual brunch dish, that’s slathered with peanut butter and jelly, then topped with spiced nuts, apples, maple bourbon syrup. Order it as a main course or a dessert for a table — there’s plenty to go around." - Amber Love Bond
