The Long Room

Used the hotel voucher to come here for breakfast. There wasn't that many staff in the morning, so kinda busy and some food was served to the wrong table. (I forgot what did I order in particular🤣 sorry🙏🏻) But the owner is the NICEST I've seen IN A WHILE! Reminds me of my grandma. And everything's back on track when the bartender and more staff are here. Very Lovely lady, definitely coming back for nighttime drinks.

Great find for dinner before Broadway play. We wanted something a little more casual than fine dining and The Long Room was ideal. Pretty good beer selection, food upscale but not fancy. Great location, theatre was right around the corner. Scotch egg was terrific, sandwiches and flatbread pizzas also tasty.

The Long Room Bar in NYC offers a fantastic experience with its cozy atmosphere and welcoming staff. Our server was exceptionally nice, making sure we had everything we needed throughout our visit. While the menu is small, it’s impressively effective, with each dish thoughtfully prepared and full of flavor. Their pretzel is a standout item—warm, soft, and served with delicious dipping sauces that make it a must-try. The prices are average for the area, making it a great spot for a casual night out without breaking the bank. A highlight of the visit was the live show they host every Friday at 9 PM, adding a lively touch to the evening. Overall, The Long Room Bar is a perfect blend of great service, quality food, and entertaining nightlife.

Perfect place to grab a drink and snack before a show. Bartender was awesome this last Sunday around 1pm, she helped us make our show perfectly on time with what we ordered and made a gorgeous cocktail. Also extra A+ to this place for accepting the blood donation vouchers for a free drink!

I reserved a spot but I really didn't have to. The place was mostly empty on the Friday night that I came. I was seated and served immediately and the atmosphere is one of a dimly lit restaurant compared to some others. They also had a live band inside. The music wasn't loud so it went well with the place. The waiter came by with a small glass of water and I ordered my food. I got the crispy calamari, the long room burger and bread pudding. The crispy calamari was good and came with marinara sauce and another sauce that had a strong lemon flavor. I wished the portion sizing on it was larger. The dish seemed small for the amount of money. The burger was good as well and I requested mashed potatoes since that is one of the sides. I don't like it when the skin is mashed in the potato, but I didn't know that beforehand. I ate it anyway and went on to eat the burger. The burger was so good that I completely forgot to remove the tomato (since I don't like them with my burgers). I also decided to leave in the bacon even though normally, I take that out. It's one of the best burgers that I've had and that is with 2 ingredients that I don't like with my burger. The bread pudding was hot and I didn't expect that, but it was delicious. I wished there was more of that instead of such a small serving.

Love this bar. It reminds me of small midwestern tavern. Great cozy atmosphere. Bartenders are always welcoming and helpful in picking a beer or cocktail. Great selection of beers and liquor as well. Weekends they have live music but thankfully it’s not over bearing so people can still talk and have a good time.

Great place to host an event. The wait staff were very attentive and efficient. The food was good. I think because it was out for a while it dried a bit but overall it was a unique bar dinning experience. The set-up is really cool you get to learn about different places in Scotland and its history.

This place is highly recommended. The food is very delicious. I ordered a salmon with a cocktail. It was a good option. I often go there. Oh, for some drinks. 10/10

We whiled away some time both before and after a performance at The Belasco, right across the street. We were really happy with the atmosphere of the place. Very cozy, especially for a big space. Drinks were well made and, considering the location, very reasonably priced.

Awesome burger. The Long Room burger with an egg et al was delicious. Cooked perfectly and came on a soft brioche roll similar to a Shake Shack roll. The pretzel appetizer was hot and soft and also awesome as was the sweet potato fries. Oh did i forget the macaroni and cheese side that came with the burger was also outstanding? On the only down side, this place is extremely loud. We went at 6:00PM after work so it was packed with a lively young crowd who was having a good time. Many large groups of friends....So, keep that in mind ..... Having said that, we had excellent service even with the large crowds. The place was packed in..... A definite return to this establishment.

The food is quite good. I ordered the $45 restaurant week menu: mussels, coconut shrimp, and panna cotta. Everything was delicious and the panna cotta had amazing texture. The grapes were a bit of an odd pairing (appearance and taste wise) but I wasn't bothered. Cool ambience with a Irish bar vibe and a faux bookshelf with law books. Seems like a nice cozy venue for an event.

Great American & Irish/English pub fare. Massive selection of draft beer/ales. Hearty portions and very friendly service. Have fish tacos and meatballs as well as other non-traditional offerings on the bar menu. Remodeled during pandemic - grab a spot near the manor-hearth fireplace.

I always avoid eating at Irish Pubs. The description of The Long Room was alluring enough and it was by far the closest sit down restaurant to my office that I hadn't yet visited. I don't know what I was thinking, I don't know what I was expecting, but eating here was a waste of time and money. The steak sandwich for $25 actually had steak but seemed inspired by Applebee's. Not much thought went into how to eat it without making a mess, and the textures and flavors coupled with bread that hadn't been toasted were not satisfying. Figuring I might strike out, I also ordered a grilled cheese for $16. This had sun-dried tomatoes in it. The dish was plated well. However, the sun-dried tomatoes still had that gross yellow-ish coagulated fat from the jar on them. I realize this isn't actually harmful to one's health, but, yuck. The atmosphere is cool but I have nothing good to say about the food here. As far as I could tell, the extent of the "Irish" offerings was a scotch egg. The other options like meat pies from menus posted here seem to have been eliminated in favor of the Applebee's style cuisine.

Came for drinks and desert. Place has a good vibe, staff pays attention, clean rest rooms , drinks prices are reasonable compared to other places being near Times Square that's a huge decision making factories for me. Overall great i will come back here again!

Went at around 5pm on a Tuesday to meet some friends for drinks. Overall it was busy but not crowded and a perfect level of activity to be able to have a drink and catch up. We mostly ordered drinks and a few small plates to share - everything was good.

This is for restaurant week August 2022 I tried to make a reservation on resy, but they didn't have any availability online, so I called and they added me to the list! Restaurant week three course dinner - $45 Restaurant week drink specials: $30 for a bottle of Cab Sav or Sav blanc $12 drink of the day (that night was sangria) We went on a Thursday night at 7pm and it was lively, great atmosphere! Apps Honey truffle pork skewers - Amazing (ate every last bit of the honey truffle) Crispy calamari- Amazing (well cooked, crispy and sauce was ) Baked oysters- okay, wouldn't get again Short rib empanada- slightly dry, wouldn't get again Entree Chargrilled top sirloin- decent, might be just a little too charred for my liking but the sweet potato fries were crispy and delicious Summer salad with grilled chicken- Amazing, so fresh, also loved that it was chicken thigh! Dessert We ordered the cheesecake, chocolate mousse and apple crumb pie- You can't go wrong! My one complaint about the service was we had to constantly chase our waitress down to get water, put our order in, get the check, etc. The hostess jumped in a lot, and she was fantastic!

Only came for the drinks so can't speak for the food. But came in on a Monday evening and sat ourselves on the couches in the back. No server came to us so we ordered at the bar. I got the Blueberry cocktail of the week ($12), and my boyfriend got a martini ($16). Drinks were good and bartender was friendly. More of an older crowd but good spot to get drinks and chat.

We came here for restaurant week and it djd not disappoint. The portions were very large and the pork belly was really really juicy and flavorful. The only con is that the restaurant resembles a corporate happy hour bar, which isn't a great vibe to be surrounded by when you are eating dinner. It is extremely crowded. And they gave us quite a small table to sit at. It is also a bit loud when happy hour is happening

Seemed like great place... good food. Nice old warm woods...But server Irene was rude.

Eh...okay establishment. Right off Time Square so if you looking for a place to have a drink that's not in a Plastic cup this is a good spot. While they have a pretty amazing LOOKING bar, they don't have much upscale spirits. Maybe the location just doesn't call for that not sure. The service was just ok. Every time we asked our server for something he seemed a bit annoyed. Don't think I'll be back but again if looking for something quick and that has seating this is a good spot

It's hard to find a good place to grab a casual drink around Times Square before/after plays, and this place is a true gem. No touristy mark up on drinks and food, great casual atmosphere, excellent service, and even live music sometimes. We had a the pretzel (which was awesome) and some spinach and artichoke dip (also very good). This is my new go-to when seeing a show in the area.

Came here for some drinks and they were excellent. Bartender was friendly and accommodating with reasonably priced drinks. We enjoyed their simple gin well drinks but I especially enjoyed the espresso martini - one of the best I've had in the city and it was around $15. It was strong and it tasted like a chocolatey-coffee dessert. Delicious!

Very nice Christmas decorations all over restaurant so I would call it a holiday bar! We just had a drink here and it is a big space with good basic drinks. Fun and lively atmosphere. Fun bar! Didn't try food but menu looks promising.

I was seeing a show right across the street and stopped in for a bite to eat before. This is a bar atmosphere. They were checking ids and vaccination cards as you entered. Friendly service. Good option if in the area for a show. The avocado grilled cheese was very good. I also tried the turmeric cauliflower. This wasn't bad but not great.

Service was good and fried atmosphere. Great place to end a long work week. Food was better than expected, and a nice variety of beverages.

My husband and I stopped by after an appointment in Midtown for a drink or two. We don't normally hang around Times Square, because most places are pretty touristy, but this was a great hidden gem! The bartender Andee was super sweet, and the drinks were delicious. We only had drinks, but will try the food next time.

One of my favorite places to stop by for food and drinks in Manhattan. If you are in the Times Square area and want a peaceful place to meet people and get a drink or food, this is the place!

Place was gorgeous- wings were delicious- waitstaff was decent. The steak was bland. Definitely needed more flavor. More dessert options would be great. It was so cozy and would like to go back. Just needed more flavor.

Unexpectedly cozy late night spot for cocktails, bar food & dessert all of which are brought to you with welcoming attentive service. The short rib street tacos featured 3 mini tacos loaded with succulent meat & fresh pico- tasty & filling. The S'Mousse features the best features of a smore & and is enticing from the moment you spy it coming to you. Ideal for post-theatre noshing, a night cap or making date night last just a little bit longer.

A good place to watch the game after work. They have a great selection of beer and the grilled chicken sandwich was pretty good. I would recommend this place to anyone for drinks. Service was good. However, I had to ask for a napkin after my food was brought out without a place setting or napkin.

We were in town looking to check out the Irish bars in the area and Irish food. We went here first. Nothing Irish about this location other and Guinness on tap. They didn't have any irish dishes for us to try. I ordered some specialty cocktail in their list that had "Chile de Arbol". This drink was so spicy it burned my tongue so that I could not taste anything. What is the point of making a drink so spicy? I returned the drink and left. Headed over to perfect pint where they have Irish food.

This oddly presented online as a bit fancier than what it is, but that's not a knock. This is a respite and haven from the chaos outside, an unpretentious spot with tasty pub food and great service, and even better drinks. YES, if you're seeing Goodnight Oscar or any show at the Belasco, this is legitimately across the street and perfect in casual-ness and for the timing of getting to the show on time. It's really a no-brainer for drinks and eats with friends before or after, or just if you're in the area and you need to get off the crowds or beat the heat of the area.

Came in late night had a great time. Would recommend this place as a cool NYC gem. Bryan made me some off the menu cocktails he created and they were amazing. Ask for him when you go q

Terrible service. Mid food. Do NOT recommend. My friends and I had a reservation at The Long Room for 5:30pm. We showed up promptly at 5:25pm and were seated right away. We liked the ambiance at first; it seemed liked a pleasant place. We asked the waiter for 5 more mins to decide what to drink, and he did not return until 5:55pm. At that point he told us he was exhausted from the weekend and his brain was dead. Not a pleasant greeting. We finally put in our drink order, appetizer, and entrees. We got our appetizer (the pretzel) and it was good. Still, our drinks did not come. Finally after another 20-30 minutes we got our entrees. The entrees tasted fine, nothing to complain about. But our drinks still had not come. After another 10 mins our waiter Matthew came back over and asked how everything was. We asked about our drinks, and he then told us a story about how he had closed out the table next to us and accidentally our drink order got lost and he forgot to put it back in. Another 10 mins passed and our drinks came to the table, at which point we were almost done with our meals. The waiter did not apologize or offer anything for the drinks having come out so late. I asked - since the drinks came out halfway through the meal, is it possible for them to be comped? The waiter said he would see what he could do. Btw, the drinks were not even good at all. At the end of the meal, our waiter came over with 2 checks and explained that he was giving us the other tables check since he had accidentally closed us out already. He said he would do us a favor and take both drinks off the tab so our total would equal the other tables total even though he really only wanted to take one off the tab. This man must not know math because even with our drinks taken off our tab, the other tables tab that he gave us was more money. We were confused as to why we should have to pay the other tables tab and why he was so reluctant to take the drinks off the tab. Remember that they had only come to the table after we were mostly done eating. No had come over to check on us during the meal or anything. In fact, our waiter seemed to avoid us the entire meal after he made his mistake. We planned to make a stink with the manager but decided not to since he looked extremely overworked anyways. We will not be returning at all and I recommend you never waste your money here. Sidenote - we came because they advertised live music and the music started so late and we could barely hear it the entire time. What a waste of 2 hours.

Great food great service I location to the theaters a plus. Had the steak sandwich and ipa the burgers look great and tasted great according to the people I was with. The only thing I'm not comfortable with are the high chairs and tables next time ask for the booth, but not a game changer.

The decor and environment was nice and staff was friendly enough. Cocktails were ~ $15 and we felt they were pure juice however they looked pretty. We didn't get food but they had a good amount of options.

Oysters are a must try! Place is definitely for small bites and after work vibes. Teriyaki Bao Buns we're also really good! Service is OK. I would recommend the espresso martini and specialty cocktail, Good Night, Oscar!

Came here for appetizers and drinks and it was pretty good. The pretzel came on a rack and was pretty good and the calamari was delicious.

Good spots for drinks pre theater. The pork Bao buns which I was psyched about were essence of pork Bao buns that solely tasted like the panko apple that filled them. The wings were tasty but anything to dip them in comes at an extra charge. That said the bar was beautiful and there was a cool after work crowd so it's a spot I'd come back to for drinks solely.

Fairly standard bar around Times Square area. Good for people who happen to be in the area but don't want to get caught in a tourist trap or in a massive crowd of people. Otherwise nothing too special about it.

We have had drinks here before but dined here on Friday before an afternoon Bway show. Food was yummy, drinks were great, server was kind and prompt. We will definitely be back. Love the whole vibe of the place and people.

Very clean and very well done interior. Staff was pleasant and happy. Prices were fair. Recommend "the trinity" and I had eht spinach and artichokes.. nice portion and tasty. And it in the Broadway theater area. They also host parties. Worthy he visit.

Listen... the drinks are fine. They probably at least semi frequently clean their taps, beautiful bar.... But this is what they decided to call Loaded tater tot's. If they'd labeled them loaded taters, I'd be cool. But these are anything but tots. Notice they're all most all gone. We were hungry. Don't @ me.

Was in last night about -11:30 and had a great time. Everything was on point. Drinks & late night appetizer (spinach, artichoke dip) were all fantastic. Service (Brian) was on point! This place has a little more of an upscale feel than your typical late night, Irish bar in NYC. Definitely recommend.

Came here with some colleagues post dinner and it was a nice time. The staff was friendly and enjoyable and made being here also more enjoyable The drinks were reasonably priced and the ambience and aesthetic was fun. We didn't do this but I noticed they had a separate whiskey specific bar - would be a great spot for a whiskey fan Worth going to

A lovely woman greeted us and served us and her energy was just so infectious! So kind and offered tons of suggestions! Got a flatbread that was delicious and my 11 year son said the wings were the best he's ever had. Watermelon cocktail was fresh and delicious. Nice environment.

First time here tonight for my company's Holiday Party. We had a huge space reserved towards the back of the house including this beautiful fireplace with leather cushioned sofa chairs and decorated beautifully with Christmas cheer. Totally an A+ because we had a section of the bar to ourselves and ordered directly with the bartenders or servers stepping in as well. As more of my colleagues arrived, our servers placed bowls of Chips + Salsa and Chips + Guacamole on top of the bar's countertop. I ordered a tiny bit of vodka + cranberry + splash of pineapple...damn she gave a tall glass of it lol Follow by... Filet Mignon Crostini...even though the steak was a bit too pink in the center for me but I still ate it and it was quite delicious...doesn't mean that I am going eat my steaks this temperature but "mama like" medium well or well done. Crispy Buffalo Chicken Skewers...it was okay since I am not much a fan of tenders vs my favorite WINGS baby Crab Cakes...definitely stuffed with a lot of crab meat mmmm BBQ Pulled Pork Sliders...needs a bit more of BBQ sauce on the pulled pork Edamame Potstickers...very different from the usual pork filling...mmm one bite baby Potato Croquette topped with a dollop of Cajun Ketchup...this was very tasty and a creamy filling of potatoes Everything Crusted Tuna Lollipop...at least I thought it was raw till my colleague told me it was cooked but it wasn't my cup of tea Lastly Beef w/Cheese Sliders...as I bite into it and saw the pink center again but I still ate it just the meat and toss the buns to the side lol Definitely a good spot to book for any events!

We had dinner on 01/06/2023 and this place is just not the same. We used to love this place. Every time my husband and I went to the city we made it a point to come to The Long Room. Once our order was taken, we never saw the waitress again! We had to get up find someone to ask for another drink, salad dressing and even the bill. We asked the hostess because waitress was no where to be found to wrap up my meal, she said no problem and threw it out in the garbage, We just laughed and said we never coming back. The place used to be great, but the service the last two times was bad and the food not that great anymore.

Great spot in midtown for a cozy vibe and an excellent Guinness. Service was a bit slow, but if you're in a rush at an Irish pub you're there for the wrong reasons. Also was decorated nice for the holidays.

In my search for the perfect Fish and Chips (with a Guinness) in midtown, this one is a contender. The chips (fries) were wonderful, the tarter sauce (flavored with malt vinegar) is sublime (and malt vinegar is also provided - an important point). The fish is cooked perfectly (nice and flaky and not overdone) and the batter is crisp and perfectly browned. The lost point is for the lack of seasoning on the fish. You need to season the fish before breading and season the batter as well - adding salt at the table doesn't have the same value. So close... I'll be back to see if I can change this to a 5.

Had reservations requesting a table at the back or downstairs. Arrived 45 minutes early. Was then given a table at the front at a crowded bar. The hostess had a screw you attitude when I informed her we spoke to someone about the reservation . Very disappointing. Won't be back. Treat your customers better.

Visited New York to see family. Spent the day in Manhattan. Bartender was very nice and made recommendations. Drinks were delicious.

What a great improvement! The food and the service was fantastic! The manager asked us back to give them another chance. Im glad we did. We actually went back last night for dinner and again for lunch this afternoon. Give them a shot! :)

Out of all dimly-lit midtown bars catered to chock-full of men in suits, this happens to be one of my preferred ones. For one main reason--the narrow layout of this bar minimizes the amount of noise bouncing off the walls, making it a great place to converse with your companions for the night. What a relief it is to not have to shout at each other over the deafening collective conversations of neighboring tables. Whoever thought of Long Room--wow, kudos, great idea. Other than my shoddy, arbitrary science in regards to the architecture of the bar--everything else here is pretty decent too! Drinks are great, with a large beer selection, and the food is alright--not great, but it'll do. Honestly, the most obvious thing Long Room is missing is a good Happy Hour. My favorite item was the loaded fries--and I don't even like loaded fries. These are pretty exceptional. So I hope you enjoy some over a nice, local beer, while having a great conversation with your friends that can be done at a comfortable, non-deafening volume. What, what a great night.

We were in the area & decide to stop by for drinks. The place was a bit crowded by the bar but we got luck & got some seating upfront. Drinks I went with the Duvel beer good beer nice & cold my friends had a Jack & Diet Coke good as well. After a few drinks we needed a bite to eat we got an order of Calamari & Asian bbq wings. Calamari was not bad decent dipping sauces calamari could have been better it was a bit over fried. The Asian bbq wings were really good nice taste & decent size wings. Restaurant is a good size, typical bar decor service was good prices are ok for the most part decent enough for drinks if in the area.

My family had a private event at The Long Room and we were blown away by how seamless the entire experience was. Tara was amazing to work with leading up to the event and on the day of, and the staff was so attentive and quick to serve our guests. The food was incredible, the bartenders were efficient, and everyone had such a great time. So many of our guests said that they would definitely be back. I cannot recommend The Long Room enough, especially for a private event. We are so grateful to the entire team there.
