Decided to have dinner here with a group of friends on a Saturday evening. This spot recently opened so was pretty curious to check them out. They also have a live band, which plays for an hour at 8PM and then at 10PM. Overall it was a great experience.
We ended up trying each of the available cocktails on the menu. Our top drinks were 1) Okinawa Fashion, which they smoke the glass in front of you (cool for IG), 2) N.I.B. and 3) Flying High Again.
For appetizers, highly recommend the Crab & Shiso Rangoon and the Black Truffle Lobster Dumplings. These tasted phenomenal. The Agedashi Cauliflower were also pretty good, while the Spicy Sesame Cucumber and Stir-Fried Snap Peas & Lotus Root are a nice refreshing alternative if you're looking to avoid fried food.
To the less impressed section, the Dan Dan Noodles were a fair dish to order for the table. Just need to mix the dish up. The Chicken Satay and Wagyu Skewers I was not too impressed with. Salmon Carpaccio I was questioning if this was salmon as it appeared more like yellowtail. Still tasted fine. The Udon Carbonara w Truffle was a complete miss for me. If the chef took constructive feedback, don't cut the udon into one inch pieces. No one wants to eat noodles like a three year old. Let the noodles be long as is.
For dessert, highly recommend the Black Sesame Gelato. I would have three scoops if I could, but needed to share. The Matcha Lychee Mille Crepe would me my second choice. The Ube Cheesecake was different and unique, but was not my favorite.
Overall, great service, loved the vibe, especially since we chose an evening where they had a live band playing. Drinks were great, but the food can be hit or miss.
