"This recently renamed bar has kept the neighborhood satiated and entertained for more than a decade, with a patio almost always nearly full during summer months. The loosely nautical-themed space puts patrons at ease, with spacious booths and paintings of ships along the walls. Low Tide Lounge’s menu makes it a solid choice for casual bites, with simple-yet-meticulously prepared plates of quesadillas, empanadas, and stacked nachos. Pair these with equally approachable cocktails like flavored margaritas, sangrias, and beer-shot combos, and you’re set for a stellar happy hour experience." - Katrina Yentch

The small nachos were outrageously tasty and generous. And the vegetarian taco salad was delicious and filling. Really enjoyed sitting on the outdoor patio people watching.

Loved our visit to Low Tide. Came in on a Saturday night and while busy it wasn’t too crowded and we were easily able to find a table. The food itself was great and portions are fantastic. Can’t go wrong with the large nachos which could comfortably feed a group of 4. The drinks are also great and I really enjoy the margarita I went with which was priced well too. Overall a fun, reasonably priced and not overcrowded spot that’s a great place for a casual evening.

This gem offers a patio, great cocktails, and swanky second floor lounge. The vegan nachos are incredible as well. Love this place!

Excellent spot with great nachos!! Be sure to get the fresh Pico de gallo on the nachos. The “lil” size is perfect for two. This will definitely be a regular spot. So glad to have found it. Tx LTL!

I love this bar! The setting is awesome and there's a great beer list and great cocktails. Also, the nachos (with pico) are some of the best that I know of in town! The house hot sauce is delicious, but sadly they don't bottle it.

Can't believe I slept on this place for so long what a wonderful spot! Ideally located between some of my favorite haunts on Grand and the main strip of Belmont, this place deserves a stop on any crawl up the street or great for relaxing during a lowkey day.

Great bar with just the right amount of ambience and dive-bar feeling. We ordered the nachos along with the margaritas. Nachos: it's a huge portion, and it's made to order. Not only was it delicious (one of the best nachos in a bar I have ever had), it was also extremely flavorful. And the drinks: these margaritas are also great. They have several flavors: we got the default lime ones and I can't wait to go back for more. The people working there are friendly and chilled: they really seemed to like this place and felt down to earth. The customers were all also chilled (what you expect from SE). There's a small upstairs lounge that anyone can use. Oh, and for all you vegetarians: this is a 100% vegetarian bar (I was surprised to find that out accidentally last night) with some vegan options. Overall, I recommend this place.

Super friendly and competent staff, fast service, and a great beer and food selection. Specifically, the nachos are incredible. A mountain of fresh and delicious ingredients in top of equally perfect tortilla chips. The small is enough to feed a small city.

Yelp
Decided to go to the Low Tide Lounge to meet up with some local friends while we were visiting Portland. We were greeted as soon as we walked in and the bartender gave us some recommendations for food and drinks. I normally would have ordered a beer, but he convinced me to get the Piña Colada slushee and it was fabulous! Went back for seconds later. For food, we had the special, which were the shrimp tacos (yum!) and we also had some empanada bites, plantain chips, and chips and salsa. Everything was great but I have to say, the salsa was AMAZING. Best salsa I've ever had outside of an authentic Mexican restaurant. If I lived in this area, I would return just for the chips and salsa. Honestly. So, so good. We can't wait to visit Portland again because we will definitely come back to the Low Tide Lounge. Also, the ambience is really chill and the music was good and not too loud. We appreciated being able to talk with our friends without having to shout, which seems to be the norm in most places these days.

Yelp
A wide assortment of margs for a great price. The bartenders are fast and the indoor/ outdoor space makes this an ideal neighborhood spot for a night out.

Yelp
My friends and I came to visit Portland and stayed in a Airbnb that was literally down the street from the spot. We had initially came here for the drinks, as I know that they also serve food. Since we had just had dinner, we didn't order any food. Additionally, I had gone ahead and ordered a cocktail, which I cannot recall the name, but do know it contained dark rum, and coconut. The drink itself was good, but a little strong for my taste. Everyone else had beer. After we all had received our drinks, we proceeded to go upstairs to a very cool, hangout spot, decorated with fake plants and couches. The lighting in this spot is very dim which added to their ambience. They also have a photo booth downstairs near the bar, which I thought was really cool. I would definitely come back and try other cocktails and food.

Yelp
This is a great place for drinks and Tex-Mex food! Their nachos are very good and so huge! I call them Nacho Mountain! But you can order a small for one or two people. Their quesadilla is super excellent and also quite large. There were four of us and one large nacho and one quesadilla fed us all, I left feeling super stuffed. Drinks are well made and tasty. Although service is friendly and quick, you do have to order at the counter and there is sometimes a long line. Low Tide does a great business and has lots of tables, my one suggestion would be that they consider hiring a couple of servers. This, however, is a fun, fun place to go with friends.

Yelp
was very impressed with this paper straw, it held up all night, is the first "bendy" paper straw I have seen? Classic blue and white stripes. 10/10 straw action over here at Low tide (plus the "small nachos" were large and awesome and i highly recommend) ((they have olives on them tho))

Yelp
Great nachos and margs , good patio to relax ! Great place for a meet up or drink with a friend

Yelp
Stiff drinks & great nachos! Great for date night and they have a photo booth! They have outside and inside seating!

Yelp
Great spot, love this place. Right near my house so I fully intend to become a regular and bring all my friends here. $8 margaritas of many flavors and HUGE delicious Food nacho plates. Love the vibe overall, bar staff are awesome, and they have a patio with heaters for winter.

Yelp
The highlights are the tacos and nachos, they are soooo good and filling. Definitely enough food to bring home leftovers, even with the smaller order of nachos. My favorite dish is the mushroom hazelnut tacos. The vibe is very laid back, and the staff is always welcoming. We've been coming here since the name change, and it's still just right.

Yelp
Best nachos.. anywhere! And while I most certainly prefer those of the dairy variety, they also offer a surprisingly delicious plate of vegan nachos if you're into that kinda thing. Free pool and shuffleboard are a real bonus, and they now have a fun little photo booth. My favorite bar in PDX for 10 years!

Leslie H.

Yelp
My favorite bar. I love the atmosphere, I love the bartenders. And the food is so good! Best Nachos ever. And gigantic! But I've been known to eat them all. I've probably eaten the whole menu, the flavors so fresh and satisfying. Can't wait until next time

Yelp
Best nachos in town. Bring a few people, this is impossible for one person to eat. Great vibe, and the drinks are a good price

Kari G.

Yelp
Formerly the Conquistador. STILL the best nachos in Portland, no question. Get the homemade hot sauce. You're welcome.

Calley E.

Yelp
I've been coming here for many years - the name has changed but it's still great food, drinks, and staff! The owner is one of the best in the business and takes care of his employees.

Drangis P. M.

Yelp
you would not believe how many nachos Drangis can eat. and the speed in which I eat them, it is unfathomable

Maria S.

Yelp
The low tide lounge was a low experience. The service was rude and clearly annoyed with my presence and the food was very average. My apologies for giving you business. Will never happen again!

Joshua T.

Yelp
Hands down, my favorite bar in Portland. Killer margaritas, it's what they're known for. Vegetarian tacos/nachos/empanadas/bowls that are so good, I usually order more for at home eating (and I'm an avid meat eater fwiw.) Not to mention a free pool table, shuffleboard, and a 45-playing jukebox. Love this place.

Yelp
This was my first time in the Low Tide Lounge! I felt extremely welcomed as soon as I stepped foot in here. It was super clean and had a good vibe to it. The staff was amazing, and the MARGARITAS!! I ordered the Low Tide Margarita (so good and a great price!) and the taco salad because tortilla bowl intrigued me, and let me tell you it was delicious! The avocado salsa was amazing, I would love to get the recipe my boyfriend and I shared the empanadas as an appetizer because they are vegetarian, so good! Overall great experience and I will definitely be back.
