"I walked into The Magnet stuffed from dinner, cranky from jet lag, and planning to politely drink a beer with a friend while pretending not to count down the minutes until I could leave and go to sleep. Ten minutes later I had found room for a crispy potato cake with butter paneer sauce and a glass of natural sparkling rosé whose name perfectly describes its flavor: Pow Blop Wizz by Olivier Lemasson. An hour later I walked out convinced that The Magnet is in fact a fantastic restaurant and serious natural wine and cocktail bar in addition to its reputation for great beer." - ByChris Morocco

Wow the best fried chicken sandwich I’ve ever had! The buns are fluffy, with chicken that’s very crispy on the outside yet tender and juicy inside! The Paloma mocktail was quite yummy as well, along with a ton of great natural wine options (I got the Riesling and really liked it!) Furthermore, there are a lot of beer and ciders. There is also ample seating. Highly recommend!

It's a pretty hip restaurant/bar on Gastown. It has a pretty fantastic list of beers and decent food. The service was great and I enjoyed my burger with the beer. I would love to try more beer on the tap in my next visit and I recommend this place to anyone looking for a good night out with some friends!

I'm a huge foodie and burger fanatic, and this place officially has my favorite burger here in Vancouver! Whatever sauce they are using is soooooo good. I literally dream about this burger lol. And the other food on the menu is delicious as well! We tried the sausage rolls which had real and good quality sausage. They had a special for a dish that resembled a deep fried perogie and that was also so good. There are tons of drink options for the drinkers. I went with a beer flight while my boyfriend tried different cocktails. We came on a Friday night and it was busy but we lucked out and got a big table after only a few minutes! Our server was super attentive and nice.

What a cool little spot! My husband and I had a date night at the Magnet. Excellent sandos and drink selection. Perfect portion sizes - enough to feel full without feeling heavy or overstuffed. Plus friendly staff. We’d happily come here again.

I’ve only got good things to say about this place. I was initially captivated by the atmosphere, which I personally really enjoyed, and I was very satisfied with both the service and the drinks. As someone who loves natural wine, I appreciated that they offer some natural wines by the glass. I particularly enjoyed the 'Anthony Buchanan x Magnet Skin Ferment Orange,' which turned out to be also available during happy hour, leading me to have another glass. I asked the server for a recommendation for a fruity beer, and she suggested the 'Moody Grapefruit Paloma Sour,' mentioning that it isn't actually very sour. It felt more like drinking grapefruit wine or something similar, and it was soooo refreshing. For food, we had the 'Magnet Burger' and the 'Whipped Feta & Olive Dip with Grilled Zucchini, Warm Balsamic Shallot Dressing, and Housemade Olive Focaccia.' My friend really liked the burger, and I enjoyed both dishes. The whipped feta and olive dip was a bit salty for my taste, but still acceptable, considering I’m staying in Van. The server was very helpful and friendly. I really enjoyed my time here and am already looking forward to my next visit.

Amazing little joint off the beaten tourist path with the most excellent all-BC beer list on tap. We had snack-y tapas dinner that was perfect after a long day. Holly was a fantastic server... so friendly! Highly recommend if you're looking for a cozy little corner for a nosh with great beer, wine, and cocktails.

The burger is sooo good! And it comes with fries which I think are too salty but maybe it just me. The selection of local beers are overwhelming, and the bartender is very helpful with his advice. I really enjoyed my dinning experience here ~

Absolutely killer spot for local fare and drinks. Definitely pricey, but the quality is worth it -- I had probably the best salad of my life here. Could've died happy. Bomb drinks with BC ingredients? Heck yeah.
