We had a short wait, which was reasonable for a Saturday morning. The good was fresh and hot. Two of our party were vegan, and the selection was small. We initially picked the place due to other reviews that indicated more options. Our waitress did a great job of checking with the kitchen. The banana bread is vegan along with the avocado toast. FYI, the hash is not since bacon grease is used in the mixture. The other dishes were filling and well prepared. Update after owner's reply: Thank you for the information. The selections were made based on the information provided by the waitress who checked with the kitchen prior to our order. The veggie hash was one item they were eager to try. However, we were told that the hash themselves were mixed with bacon grease. He also asked if some could be made eliminating the grease, and it was explained that they are made in batches for the day.

I’ve been hearing about Magnolia Pancake Haus ever since moving down to San Antonio, and I had been meaning to give it a try for just as long. Well, my husband and I finally took it upon ourselves to eat here, as we were in the area. The service was excellent! Our server was warm, informative, and more than helpful. I loved the atmosphere; it was kitschy and reminiscent of grandma’s house without being too garish or over the top. The coffee was superb. I don’t what it was, but it was some of the best coffee I’ve ever had. I believe it must’ve been the cream they use. It was dairy-forward in a delightfully pleasant manner. My husband’s over easy eggs were gorgeous—perfectly cooked amwitj s lovely bright orange yolk. The grits were fantastic, too, and also unlike any I’ve had at other establishments. My better half also got the biscuits and gravy. Man, those had to be in the top 5 best biscuits I’ve had! So crumbly and slightly dense.. in the best way. However, the two highlights we tried were the breakfast sausage and the apple pfannkuchen. Hands down, the sausage was the tastiest I’ve ever tried. The German pancake was AMAZING. The lightly crisp edges,, the caramelized apples.. the heavenly whipped cream.. I was enamored by it. You must try. I’m so glad this place lived up to all the hype. I’ll be recommending Magnolia to our friends and family who visit.

Google
I gave this place a try after seeing it on #DDD. I actually really enjoyed my experience. This is a cute diner for a date or to bring family. I kept it simple and got the Magnolia breakfast with eggs, hash-browns, bacon, and upgraded my pancakes. They were all cooked exactly how I like it and I ate every last bite. The Banana Foster Pancakes were loaded with a cinnamon sugar topping and bananas and pecans. I enjoyed them so much, you don’t even need syrup. Plenty of options on the menu. I would definitely come back again.

Google
We love the Magnolia Pancake Haus. It’s always a treat for us. The food is special. The service is great. From hostesses through the cashiers we always feel welcome. We brought our college-age son on our most recent visit. It’s the only breakfast he will wake up for. The earlier you arrive, the better in terms of waiting. But you never wait as long as they tell you.

Google
To say we had a wonderful experience would be an understatement. The corned beef hash was crisp and packed full of flavor. The biscuits were fluffy, buttery, and light. The sausage gravy had a rich smokiness, packed full if meat, and the best flavor in any breakfast gravy I have ever had. If you want to try something new, the Apfel Pfannekuchen is a dish that can be shared among many and should be ordered as such. The apples are soft and tender and just the perfect ripeness in each bite. The dish itself, is something you have to experience at least once. Normally I wouldn’t bring a drink into a review, but the house coffee can stand up to any coffee shop or homemade French press coffee. It was rich and smooth with no acidity. If you are in San Antonio, this is the go to spot you have to try for a full sit down breakfast. The staff is very friendly and provide wonderful service.

Google
As a Google reviewer who enjoys tasting different cuisines, I recently went there for breakfast, and it was an exceptional experience! The food featured a delightful blend of flavors, was well-prepared, and beautifully presented. The variety and quality of the dishes were outstanding. The service was impeccable; the staff was friendly and attentive, ensuring all our needs were met. The ambiance was warm and inviting. With fantastic food and excellent service, this restaurant is truly a gem. I highly recommend it and plan to return. However, one thing to note is that the place is often packed, and the wait time can be extended.

Google
Food was great and so was the service. Definitely had to snag some pancakes at the pancake haus alongside my eggs Benedict. My boyfriend and I like to try all the breakfast spots on the weekend, and we will be adding this to our fave list.

Google
Overall, we had a wonderful brunch experience! The wait can be long on the weekends, so be aware. However, it’s delicious and we will definitely be back! Food details: Would recommend the biscuits with gravy and the peaches and pecan waffles. Not our favorites: The sausage has a unique seasoning that we didn’t like.

Yelp
Magnolia is a classic! They are great at their craft! It's absolutely delicious and love bringing new people to see that's there's better options than chains pancake places. If it's your first time here everything is delicious! Definitely join the waitlist to avoid waiting longer. If not you will definitely be waiting for a min learn that the hard way the first time. Also when you arrive to restaurant check in at the front even if you're already on the waitlist through Yelp. The service is great! If you get cold easily being a light jacket. Great ambiance and people, brought my siblings and they said "This place smacks we need to come more often"

Yelp
We checked in on our way there and while my husband was driving we received a text that we were dropped from the waitlist which was very odd because the wait was 37-52 minutes and it was about 5 minutes after we used the check in/reservation system . When we got there they said they do that and then put you back on the list when you check in upon arrival; therefore a super odd system. It was super busy as expected and I have to admit that as busy as it was the noise level was normal, not too loud. Our server was Adam and he was super helpful as this was our first time there and we both had some questions about the menu. On that note, for updated pricing you have to scan a QR code for a digital menu as the printed ones does not have any prices displayed. We had some coffee and the coffee was pretty good. The grapefruit mimosa was delicious. Our food came out and I really enjoyed my stake hash, but was wishing I could have enjoyed my husband's meal, but that beauty had way too much sugar in it for me. It smelled amazing and he said it was delicious! It was definitely worth his wait since it takes a little longer to cook. Overall it was a great visit, but the reservation system is so odd. I am not sure if that will ever change to a better system, therefore it is what it is.

Yelp
The food was really good! Many options and they're able to accommodate large parties. The service was fast and friendly. The ambiance was casual diner style. It was extremely cold in the restaurant! I had to step outside several times. I'm ok with it being a little cold but not to the point that my body was aching and fatigued. So bring your jacket and your appetite!
google avatar

Yelp
Still amazing! Had the regular Eggs Benedict with a side of buttermilk pancakes. Everything was delicious as always I love their attention to detail like bringing the butter out room temperature. This remains one of our favorite brunch places.
google avatar

Yelp
There always seems to be a wait time here, but once you get a table the service is fast and friendly. I got a simple breakfast plate and the portions were fair. Definitely not large portions where you will need a take out box. I enjoyed the food as it tasted fresh and homemade.

Yelp
We had to wait an hour on a Sunday for brunch but it wasn't too bad because we walked around the area while waiting. I really appreciate how they let me customize my pancakes and I highly recommend doing a chocolate blueberry combo. It looked small alongside my Canadian bacon but it definitely filled me up. It was nice sitting in the corner because we could still have conversations despite how loud it was.

Yelp
We went here for the first time after always seeing it packed. Our server was attentive and friendly. We ordered a variety of items to try them all -strawberry waffles, apple pancakes, brisket hash, chocolate chip pancakes and magnolia breakfast. Only the brisket hash was a bit overcooked and lacking in flavor but then again it's not a traditional breakfast item. Prices aren't listed and must change so they have a QR code on the menu- anything extra they are charging but don't mention it until you get the bill. Overall, pretty good breakfast.

Yelp
This was a 10/10 brunch. I got the southern Bennie, and it was the most perfect eggs benedict I've had. The yolk was perfectly runny, the meat was cooked really well, they didn't skimp out on the sauce, and the muffin was not too dry or thick. We did have to wait one hour, but it was a Sunday morning, so I guess that's expected. Our server was super nice, and she got us extra creamer for our coffee. I liked that we got seated in the corner of the restaurant because it was really busy, so it felt nice to have a little private space to ourselves. Be warned: it's really cold inside, and I wish I had a jacket.

Yelp
I met a customer of mine here for breakfast - it's his go to for breakfast mtgs. I had the Mexican Street Cork Frittata and a side of bacon. I had never had a frittata, so wasn't sure what to expect. It was good. Real good. Needed a little hot sauce 'cuz I like it a little spicy. Bacon was excellent. My customer had an omelette- it was huge. All in all very good and I'll go back as the hotel I stay at is close. Forgot to take a pick. Dammm

Yelp
This restaurant was a split decision between my better half and me. I really liked it, and she really did not like it. We had heard so much about the long wait lines, so we went for a late breakfast. We were both pleasantly surprised when we found no line and were immediately seated. A waiter arrived quickly and handed us our menu and asked if we wanted coffee. While he went to get the coffee, we reviewed the menu and determined what we were going to order. My wife ordered eggs and hashbrowns. I went for a short stack of the blueberry pancakes with bacon. The waiter had poured our coffee and left us a decanter for refilling our cups as needed. This is where our difference of opinion started. She hated the coffee saying it was as weak as dishwater. I thought it was weak but could drink it. It took about 25 minutes for our orders to arrive. Mine came with a bottle of warmed syrup and a couple of scoops of butter to apply. My wife's order came as ordered and nothing else. My pancakes were filled with blueberries and were so fluffy and tasteful. Her eggs were ok, but she hated the hashbrowns as they were nearly burned. Our waiter never came back until we had completely finished our meal. He brought the check and told us to pay at the register on the way out. We had to wade through a mass of humanity to get to the register as it seemed like everyone in town decided to show up then. Will I return? If up to me, we would definitely return. However, I don't think my wife will ever go back.

Yelp
Hands down the best pancakes you can find in San Antonio! This was a regular stop for us when we lived local. It's definitely on the list of places to eat when we return to town. My teens will even get out of bed before noon with the lure of Magnolia pancakes! We love the pancakes obviously, but the Farmer's Scramble is as good as the pancakes. The perfect mix of eggs, sausage, onions, and cheese. Our eyes are always bigger than our stomachs here. We stopped by on a Monday at noon and were seated immediately. If you want to eat on a weekend, make sure to get in the virtual line because the wait can be hours. We found the 1:30 pm arrival to work pretty well for weekends as the bulk of the crowd has cleared by then.

Yelp
Best. Breakfast. Ever!! Seriously, no joke, this place is the real deal! We came in early and beat the rush, and were seated immediately by very friendly hostesses. Our server, April was simply amazing and took very good care of us. Since this was our first time (certainly wont be our last) we got a little of everything. I got the corned beef hash, she got the calico hash and Mama got the Magnolia Breakfast with bacon. Simply put: everything was top notch! We also couldnt pass up the german apple pecan pancake (no, I will not try to spell it) and let me tell you, do NOT pass this one up! The place is clean, cute without being cheesy and the entire dining experience is perfect for breakfast or brunch. Come on down and get your grub on, you will not regret it!!

Brianna N.

Yelp
Marvelous breakfast here, all thanks to our server Bree who made our day. Fresh OJ with my mimosa, super smooth coffee, and a unique selection of entrees you can't get at a regular ol diner. Very pleased with my chicken and waffle flight. Ambiance was standard for a busy Sunday afternoon, but not too loud. It was about an hour wait but I really had the best time! Bree just lights up the room, we're so thankful she took such great care of us. If you're looking to eat here, wait within 7 miles (the online waitlist won't work unless you're within that ring so maybe go shopping or something, 50 min wait for 4 at 10 on a Saturday!)

Yelp
The location was super convenient -- we stayed at the Hampton Inn next door, and they basically share a parking lot. We went on a Sunday, and as expected, there was a huge line, but I used the Yelp app to join the waitlist before walking over. By the time we arrived, I was third in line, which was great. The service was excellent -- friendly and attentive. That being said, I'm a big foodie, especially when it comes to breakfast, and the food didn't quite meet my expectations. I ordered the Magnolia Combo with eggs, bacon, hashbrowns, and two blueberry pancakes. The eggs were delicious with a nice smoky flavor. The hashbrowns were very dry and also had a smoky taste that I didn't love. The pancakes, which I was most excited for, sadly fell short -- they had a slight fishy aftertaste, oddly enough. Even my 7-year-old, who loves pancakes, spit hers out. The syrup wasn't great either -- more like sugar water -- so I asked for honey instead. My kids had the strawberry waffle, which was a hit -- fresh strawberries, tasty whipped topping. My husband had the French toast; they were okay but on the dry side and lacked that rich, eggy texture we were hoping for. Overall, prices were fair and the service was great, but for me, the food just didn't live up to the hype.

Yelp
This is a very popular restaurant so we had a 45 minute wait for a table after a 15 minute wait to check in. Since it was overflowing, the sound was loud and unable to hear my table mates. This probably played into why three of our four plates had errors. What we did receive tasted fine. Not amazing, not bad but just fine. Service was slow from the time of ordering to receiving the bill. The waiter was not rude but definitely feeling overworked.
google avatar

Yelp
Join the waitlist through Yelp! You can join when you are 7 miles out. It will save you!! I love coming to this location as it is newer and has more than 1 stall in the ladies room! I've been getting the buckwheat pancakes and bacon and it does a stellar job in not effecting my blood sugar. I feel like I'm cheating and it's not! My husband loves the Bennie's - if you get the buckwheat pancakes, do a 1/2 order as these are plate sized.

Yelp
We dined in Friday morning for breakfast and were greeted right away and seated. The restaurant was not crowded and we had quick service. I ordered the eggs and browns which consisted of two eggs any style, savory hashbrowns, and either pancakes, toast or.??? I ordered sunny side up eggs with the pancakes. our meal came out very quickly. Everything looked really nice and was good including the warm pancake syrup. I like that the pancake syrup was not overly sweet, and the food wasn't salty. (I hate salt). Everything was good and pretty basic for a pancake house. I do wish that my savory hashbrowns were savory. They were just plain fried hashbrowns. I really expected savory to mean seasoning and maybe green onions. Other than that it was just a typical pancake house, no Wow factor but I would return.

Yelp
I got the Calico Hash and it was amazing, I did it over medium with feta on top and it was perfect, i think the portions are great as well. The biscuits with honey butter is so good, I usually make Pillsbury biscuits at home and put honey over top, but the homemade biscuits and honey butter is way, way better. The service is amazing, our server Bri was so kind and friendly. The manager I believe, he was very funny and kind as well. The restaurant itself had a nice homey vibe, everyone was in great conversation and spirits. Even just walking by people and making small talk, they also loved the food. I would totally recommend and come here again!

Yelp
Each time we've been to Magnolia Pancake Haus we haven't been disappointed. They are consistently good food, good variety, good coffee, great staff, and easy location. The German pancake is what food dreams are made of.
google avatar

Mariana T.

Yelp
First timers at Magnolia Pancake Haus. Food was good, service was super fast, affordable prices. I really enjoyed this place and will definitely come back for more. I will say the wait to be seated was longer than how long it took us to order and eat our food. The service was super quick and food had no errors. Everyone was super friendly too!
google avatar

Sam H.

Yelp
Usually a wait. Quite popular place. Eaten here a few times. Service is very good. The food always done right. No harm no foul. Prices are on the higher side. Better quality is what you're paying for. Food comes out fast. I'm not as sold as others on bang for the buck wise. Couple other options with more for less. Enjoy.
google avatar

Maria T F.

Yelp
Their corned beef and hash with pancakes are my favorite thing to order from the place. Corned beef is well seasoned and cooked to perfection, they give huge serving of fluffy pancakes which I never could finish. Always packed so you need to either call ahead or get in line asap before the lunch crowd comes in.
google avatar

Anneliese L.

Yelp
The staff is always very quick polite and efficient! It's a cool atmosphere in the building with easy natural lighting to make it comfortable! The food as always was to die for!

Yelp
Excellent food and atmosphere Like the Curios out front The SERVICE was amazing and we WILL be back

Yelp
I absolutely LOVE Magnolia Pancake Haus! Their pancakes are the absolute best. From the original buttermilk to my new addiction, the gingerbread pancakes. The corned beef hash with over easy eggs is the perfect breakfast. The brisket hash isn't far behind. The service is always amazing. The staff members are extremely friendly and attentive. I'm thrilled they're open 7 days a week so I can get my pancake and hash fix whenever I please. For the best pancakes you've ever tasted, head to Magnolia's ASAP!
google avatar

Joan K.

Yelp
Maaaaaybe it's me. But, the time I went, the food was not the "best" all around (7 people). Cons: they used canned mushrooms for their omelets...for the price we are paying; We'd prefer they were fresh. Makes me wonder if their eggs are made from powder. Jkjk. PROS: Service was great. Coffee tasted delicious!
google avatar

Maitina M.

Yelp
The service was excellent. Danielle, our server was very attentive and sweet. She made sure our glasses were constantly filled. I had the southern Benedict which was a disappointment. The hollandaise sauce had no flavor to it. I have had way better elsewhere. My husband had the breakfast plate with smoked pit ham. The ham were just thin slices of deli ham. He was expecting thicker sliced hams. The hash browns were also flavorless. Another disappointment. I will say that my husband enjoyed his blueberry pancakes. In hindsight, we should have stuck to pancakes or waffles. We don't intend to return based on our food experience.

Autumn V.

Yelp
Food is Amazing. Definitely use app to check in so you aren't waiting in the long lines, but definitely worth the wait.

Mary V.

Yelp
I wanted to love this place but the quality of the food does not match the price or the line you have to do... We were told wait time was 20-25 min.. took over an hr to get a table.. why not be straight fwd and advise customers when they are signing in .. now the actually food service was quick.. within less than 15 we all had all food.. you can probably get the same food for a lesser price at a Dennys, Cracker Barrel or IHOP. Also I found it kinda odd that they don't list their prices on the menus they provide... My favorite item I tried was the pecan waffles and they syrup!
google avatar

Yelp
We have been loyal Magnolia Haus patrons for years. Today, if the service and food hadn't been at the level it was, we would be done, but the service and food saved the day. We got on the waitlist and then got a message we had been removed from it. I again signed up and got on and got a text saying I had been removed. When we got there, the area by the hostess check-in area was a complete disaster. When I got to the hostess stand and explained what had happened I was told that I shouldn't get back on because I was actually still on it (and I would have known that how?). At any rate she said I was #1 on the list - no problem. Then, after watching 5 parties (4 the same 'table for 2' as we were) get called and seated, I asked the hostess what happened to #1. She tried explaining why they were ahead and honestly, it made no sense to me and I don't think she even knew why. She blamed it on Yelp but I use Yelp check-ins at many places and have never had this issue. Anyhow, we finally got seated. Our server was personable and very timely. Our food came out in a very reasonable time, especially given how busy the place was. The food was as good as we have are accustomed to. The scrambled eggs were light and fluffy. The hash browns were perfect - brown and crisp on the outside and soft on the inside! The bacon was great - not overdone (too many other places serve bacon that is hard and crumbly) and not underdone. The blueberry pancakes were of course excellent as always! My wife had the Farmer's Scramble which was scrambled eggs, sausage, potatoes, cheese and chives. It was very tasty and I will probably order in the future - I'm surprised I've never ordered it in all the times we've been here! So - service and food - spot on. Check-in and waiting list - a disaster which they hopefully will fix.

Yelp
Oh. My. Gosh. Deliciousness. We were staying at a hotel nearby and decided to try this place out when the kids woke up early. Our family arrived at the restaurant at 8am and it was already busy. (No reservations allowed, everyone must be present to be seated). After we were there, we realized they had been featured on Diners, Drive-Ins, and Dives. I can see why. The food was diner food and incredible. We ordered biscuits (the gravy was insane!), the pulled pork benedict, and the corned beef hash. There was also a special that was a Dos Leches Nutella Churro Bread Pudding. Yes, it was as ridiculous as it sounds. So amazing. I want to go back to San Antonio just so I can go here again!

Yelp
Emily is the waiter everyone needs when it comes to eat breakfast great attitude and positive vibes thank u

Yelp
This place doesn't really live up to the hype. My first time I tried to eat here the wait was 1 to 1.5 hours! I said forget it and tried later. When I finally did get to eat here, I found some irritating things. no prices on menu, no salt or pepper on table. Busy atmosphere and hashbrowns had a very funny taste. To their credit they did deduct 2.00 off my bill but even the pancakes were so so for a place that has pancakes in its name. It's simply not worth the time or money to eat here. I have other places I can go where service, price and taste of food is much better.
google avatar

Hannah B.

Yelp
There was a little bit of a wait to be seated, but it was worth it! Our server was very friendly and helpful. I really enjoyed trying the iced coffee, bacon, hashbrowns, and a chocolate chip pancake. The restaurant was freezing though, so maybe bring a jacket!

Yelp
Quick seating, good service, yummy food. It's a great place to catch up with friends and enjoy breakfast.

Yelp
Stonewall needs way more gravy or way less biscuit.....good flavor just dry, i've always heard the hype about this place. It was good, but it wasn't great..

Yelp
Maybe it was the long wait time that made me anticipate how good this place was going to be. Especially with all the accolades on the walls in the entrance/check in/wait area. I was honestly a bit disappointed! Mostly with the service. We ordered drinks and let the waitress know we were ready to order and she just walked away before we even continued ordering. When she came back with drinks she said she'd get my husband a coffee cup and never brought one back. My husband got up after waiting a few minutes and asked another waiter for a coffee cup. The food was ok. I ordered eggs and hash browns a la carte. I also ordered the banana nut bread French toast. It tasted mostly just like banana bread (very thick), not French toast. Might give it another try but today's experience wasn't the greatest, unfortunately. :/
google avatar

Eric E.

Yelp
We were immediately seated when we walked in, server was friendly and made sure our coffee mugs never ran dry. I tied Oma's Favorite - I don't want to butcher the spelling of it. It was absolutely amazing. It tasted like an apple pie pancake. Definitely worth trying!

Yelp
Yum! This visitor to Texas was delighted by the Texas shaped pecan and peach waffle. The regular round strawberry waffle of my companion was delicious as well. Our third diner had the eggs Benedict which were served on pretty amazingly fluffy looking English muffins. She said it was okay, not great. Our server was new and she did a great job. The food did take a while to come out despite us arriving in the tail end of a rush, with many tables opening up around us as we waited after ordering. We were there for lunch 11:45-12:30, which seems like a time they ought to be cranking out plates, but maybe since this is a breakfast/brunch place it works differently. We were seated at a 4-top in the middle of the dining room and it was fine, didn't feel crowded or like we were in people's way as they made their way out around us. The environment was actually pretty quiet and clean. Overall great experience!

Yelp
Coming here is always like eating a home cooked breakfast with the family. Staff is consistently super nice & luckily the wait has never been extremely long during my visits. The food is always hot & fresh & of course the mimosas are icing on the pancakes. This place is the closest to an old fashioned, country style, home cooked breakfast you're going to get in San Antonio.

Yelp
The last time I had gone to The Haus was before I even knew Yelp existed and what a shame. The Magnolia Haus is simply a great place to have brunch. The food is really good and cooked however you want. Our server was really good and ensured we were taken care of well. He checked on us when it was right not constantly, which I appreciate. The part of the restaurant that we were in looked good and I assume the rest did as well. I would say going during the week will be best if you don't want to wait. They do have a steady flow of traffic. For those like me, they have moved from their original location and have locations in many places. Enjoy!

Eby J.

Yelp
The service was excellent considering all the people to serve. The food was great! It was timely & so fresh!! Their bacon was just as ordered and delicious! The pancakes were fluffy good!! Will definitely come back!!

Yelp
Came an hour before closing (because they are only open for breakfast and lunch). No wait. Pancakes are delectable. Omelets are kinda watery and in my opinion need pepper and ketchup and hot sauce. The hash brown is not where it's at and the salt and pepper and hot sauce and ketchup didn't help it. Sad. I asked for more ice water and the waitress came by to fill it. She got to my cup and just gave me water. I asked for a cup of ice and she brought a really small cup compared to my water glass. Like why is she not giving me ice? she is withholding the free ice water. Come on lady, please just bring me what I asked for. Rant almost over: I specifically asked for ICE water, please bring both.

Yelp
Went on Friday at 10am and it was busy! Fortunately they have the Yelp waitlist so we joined before leaving the house. We only waited maybe 5 minutes once we got there. The menu doesn't have the price listed, you have to use the QR code to look at current prices. I had the Fitzgerald Benedict with spinach. The spinach really brings the dish together. Pancakes were made to perfect. I asked and they do not do military discounts despite other reviews.

Yelp
Brand spanking new one on 281 & 1604. It is a must to go for breakfast or brunch. Service is Excellent and food and pancakes are delicious. They also have a really good Irish Cream for my coffee, mmm. Thanks for the excellent job April and the attentive Manager that came to ask how everything is. Nothing but excellent every where. 5 Stars.

Yelp
Waited very long to be seated in an area with no seating ... we have a party of 7 and they only brought out 3 meals obvi no one wanted to eat so meals got cold cause .... and omg was it freezing balls. Consistency could be much better, the place shouldn't be so cold I know its texas but food gets colder faster.

Yelp
We had the best server- she made us so comfortable and acted like an old friend. The coffee was excellent, as always, but the food for half of our party was super bland and arrived lukewarm. It was such a disappointment since the food is always excellent here. Even the pancakes were just okay (super sad face). My husband got pecan pancakes with his order and he said there was maybe one pecan in the whole thing. It was just a sad experience since I love this place and hadn't been in a while. Our server deserves 5 stars alone, but the food was seriously lacking.

Yelp
I've been to a Magnolia Haus before, but it's easily been a decade. I'm not a huge breakfast person, but this place is one of the best. Went in to catch up with some local friends over breakfast and had a solid time. Check out their website before you go - they're candid about the fact that they don't take reservations or seat incomplete parties. Apparently there is some way to put your name down online, but you still need to show up and check in before they start to get a table ready for you. Going at 9AM on a weekend, wait was about 20 minutes, reasonable - there's indoor and outdoor bench seating to wait, maybe adding a water station would be helpful with the summer heat. Husband and I shared the Texas Peach waffle and the Jambalaya omelet. Both were solid, I preferred the savory dish. Our friends really liked their food and seem to come here pretty regularly. Service was attentive and they were great about offering us high chairs/booster seats etc for baby. This spot is always busy, and for good reason - one of the better breakfast options in the area, particularly if you're looking for something that isn't breakfast tacos (LOL).
