The location was super convenient -- we stayed at the Hampton Inn next door, and they basically share a parking lot. We went on a Sunday, and as expected, there was a huge line, but I used the Yelp app to join the waitlist before walking over. By the time we arrived, I was third in line, which was great.
The service was excellent -- friendly and attentive. That being said, I'm a big foodie, especially when it comes to breakfast, and the food didn't quite meet my expectations. I ordered the Magnolia Combo with eggs, bacon, hashbrowns, and two blueberry pancakes. The eggs were delicious with a nice smoky flavor. The hashbrowns were very dry and also had a smoky taste that I didn't love. The pancakes, which I was most excited for, sadly fell short -- they had a slight fishy aftertaste, oddly enough. Even my 7-year-old, who loves pancakes, spit hers out. The syrup wasn't great either -- more like sugar water -- so I asked for honey instead.
My kids had the strawberry waffle, which was a hit -- fresh strawberries, tasty whipped topping. My husband had the French toast; they were okay but on the dry side and lacked that rich, eggy texture we were hoping for.
Overall, prices were fair and the service was great, but for me, the food just didn't live up to the hype.
