Review: FCC Angkor, Siem Reap - SilverKris

"Located in the hotel’s social nucleus, this restaurant evokes a luxe tropical summer home with woven rattan peacock chairs, slatted French doors, rotating ceiling fans and a spacious second-floor balcony. The dining experience pairs refined comfort with Khmer influences—handmade ceramics and local craftsmanship appear alongside retro styling—and the menu includes local highlights, with the fish amok singled out as among the tastiest in town." - Tara FT Sering

Fantastic family owned and operated venue with a number of different seating options, outdoors and inside. The menu is all fresh, made on site selections with handout steaks and fresh baked bread with portion sizes that will not leave you hungry. In addition, the Mansion has the incredible “Cellars” which you definitely need to visit with vast wine and champagne inventory and a spirits inventory which is second to none. Bourbon, Scotch, Irish, Japanese, Tequila etc. It is not to be missed. Lastly, the Cellars hosts ongoing “tasting” opportunities (see website) that provide great breadth of different wine and spirit tastings information and attended by friendly folks interested in experiencing new tastes and learning from the Mansion’s resident experts, Jim and Danny. The tastings provide a great experience.

Just came for lunch today and it was great as usual. Food, service and ambiance cannot be beat. I had the hot Italian sandwhich with a salad and it’s outstanding. It was so big I had to take half home. Other half is shown in pictures. haven’t been to the Mansion for a while, and it has improved the service. The food has always been good, and their prices are very competitive. I had the pork chop dinner with green beans and mashed potatoes and it was $24.99.

This place has many areas for private parties, group experiences, and celebrations. The first time here, we wandered to the upstairs seating for adults only (Yeahhh!). The view was beautiful and open area. Our waiter was amazing, prompt, followed up, and courteous with a great smile. The food presentation and taste, spot on. It's a definite place to come back to.

Google
First time experience at the Mansion! 5 Stars Plus! Really classy atmosphere. Garden vegetation, stained glass, and wrought iron with wooden plank feature walls burned wood spirit logos. Decorations for Halloween. God was good, our server Frank was fabulous !!! Sat inside in the ac, on a hot sunny Florida afternoon. Couple of us had the blackened salmon sandwiches, some the fried fish basket. My sweet potato waffle fries were soft on the inside, crispy on the out, and thick cut. Maybe the best I’ve ever had. Very accommodating it felt like we were in an exclusive club with personal service. Was just a little tricky finding our way inside, but so worth it. Excellent and extensive wine cellar. Unique candies, but the young, and young at heart, adorable too. Candy cigarettes, smarties candy necklaces, and fresh individually wrapped haystacks, (chocolate and coconut). If we were in the area longer, I’d go back!!! 😍

My partner and I had the Pork Chop price fix dinner for 2. The Pork Chop was exquisite. The accompanying salad was excellent. The sides which were lemon grilled green beans and mashed potatoes were excellent. Alex the waiter was very attentive

Google
Excellent food. Great choice of liquor in the guy's and I just believe the service was short-handed that evening. But overall great experience. I'll be back. Hope you enjoy! Thomas, ing yourself

Google
This place is awesome! Every time we go we have a great meal and excellent service! Their menu is small but it rotates. The biggest draw is their beer and liquor selection, is vast. They have just about anything you could want, with the option to buy a pour. The liquor store in the cellar is overwhelming with the selection they have. If you get a chance to sign up for a tasting do so, it is well worth it. This place knows how to take care of their customers and they are very warm and welcoming!!

Google
The food was fantastic. We were there for lunch. The service was great. Our waiter Matthew was super friendly and helpful. We ate outside in the downstairs area. We have eaten here several times and the food is always fabulous. They also have rooftop seating with a nice view. Definitely recommend!

Yelp
We were very pleased with our meal, the service (Alex), and the restaurant itself. We both got the Salmon with spinach and whipped potatoes. The portion size was good, and we thought the salmon was some of the best we have ever had. Keep in mind we both eat a lot of salmon. We split the dessert. We ordered the Death by Chocolate cake. The portion was generous and once again the taste was fantastic. We left The Mansion with our bellies full and smiles on our faces

Yelp
Well, the food was good.... We went for Thanksgiving. I was asked, when making the reservation if we could walk upstairs. That did not clue me in... I just figured that there was an upstairs area without Ada assistance. Instead.... Our walk to the table took us through storage and trash areas. See the pictures. The dining area....omg. See the pics. It still looks like a spare bedroom. The ceiling is falling in! There's black mold around the vent. My back was to a closet covered by a curtain. Service. They tried, but, were woefully understaffed. There were dirty plates stacked in the floor. The drinkware was plastic. The Mai ti tasted like blackberry. The Long Island ice tea tasted like lemon juice. My old fashioned was just whiskey on the rocks with an orange slice. We ordered the pretzel appetizer. Cheese was good, but the pretzel was a hoagie roll. When the server brought dinner, she thumped the plates on the other side of the table. I got up and moved them to where we were sitting. I asked for a glass of wine... it came with our check. I can't say I'll be back. Seeing the dirty plates on the floor and holes in the ceiling was just horrid. Seeing other patrons get rained on as they sat outside was terrible. I had been charged $10 just to make the reservation. Overall, 4 drinks and 2 dinners was about $120, not including reservation fee and tip. Overall, it was just sad. Very sad.

Yelp
Gem for the food lovers, outstanding flavors and ambience. Locals paradise with unparalleled service and attentiveness. Plates are served with so much care and pride. We had appetizer bruschetta that was out of this world in addition to grilled salmon and fish and chips.
google avatar

Yelp
The Mansion hosted the company holiday party a while back. It was set up buffet style, outside yet covered from rain. The vegetarian options included mushroom bruschetta which was balanced.

Yelp
We used to love the Mansion. But standards have really dropped over the last year. Several of our favorite items have been dropped from the menu. They also used to have a very large selection of beer on tap. Now there are more open taps then filled ones. We arrived at 5:00 on a Friday and due to staffing the outdoor patio and bar weren't open. The staff was very friendly and served us quickly. Just seems that standards have really dropped.

Yelp
This is a classic location in Melbourne.right before you go over the causeway. Somewhat tuck away between the hustle of the near by traffic, this place offers somewhat of an easy going, beachy feel with a touch of class. Connected next door is a spot unknown to me for years which is a curated collection of whiskies and some named after the Masion. Try the flights in the restaurant or bar to Know which is your favorite and take the bottle home. Food wise nothing was a huge hit for me but service was attentive.
google avatar

Austin G.

Yelp
Great local spot in downtown Melbourne. The food is always excellent especially the appetizers! One of the best views in the area if you sit on top of the roof! Staff is always super friendly. The only negative I have is sometimes it has taken a while to get our food.

Yelp
We've been coming here for years during our vacation, but this time we were disappointed with the service and food. I would give less than 2 stars, but we had good experience in the past and I'm hoping it's a one time thing. Our server wasn't very friendly, but another guy who brought out the food was great. I had margarita and it tasted very sour and almost like pure lime juice... margarita is my choice of cocktail, and I usually get a little buzz from one drink, but this did nothing to me. I also had pork chop special that came with mashed potatoes and green beans. I hated how green beans tasted as they were very acidic and salty . I decided to eat the rest of the dish, but I should have returned it to the kitchen. The pork was cooked the way I asked, but it was extremely salty (I'm the one who likes a lot of salt, but this was too much). We had a big family dinner and other people mentioned their food being very salty and Caesar salad dressing being so salty that they couldn't eat.

Yelp
Good food in a nice setting with great water views from the rooftop deck. Service was excellent with a friendly and responsive waiter. I had the New York Strip steak which had an excellent presentation but the steak and sauce just tasted ok so I wouldn't get that again.

Yelp
Came in with the a group on Friday around 1830 with reservations. Sat inside which was really nice. The room was somewhat private with nice decor. Service was really good and the restaurant overall had really nice ambiance. Got the fish tacos, it was ok. It was basically a perfectly seasoned fish in a tortilla. It came with beans, pico de gallo, cheese, cabbage slaw, jalepenos and brownish guacamole. I also got an old fashioned that came mixed with ice chips, smh. Classy place like this should provide a block ice but apparently it was an upcharge for a dollar. The cellar and spirits room is a must visit. They got some rare labels in there and I thought decently priced. Overall, good spot...def recommend!

Yelp
**Harvey's honest reviews ** Okay, my wife and I went and sat by the bar. The inside had a very nice atmosphere. The service was acceptable but the waiter seamed spread thin as there were only three. We went with the crab cakes for an appetizer. I was very impressed with the size of the crab cake serving and it was delicious. We got the fish and chips for an on-trey. The fish was kind of cold along with the skinny fries. We then moved on to desert. We hade a chocolate cake and a key lime pie. The serving size of both were huge. Both were very delicious. Due to the servers being spread thin I waited on my drink to be refilled but it never happened. I got the bill and paid over $100 dollars including the tip for two people. Hope this helps, Dennis In summary we decided we would come back

Yelp
I am writing this review knowing I will be back and my opinion of the food was subject to me being on a special diet at the time. So I will absolutely be doing a revision the moment I go back if the experience is better. Also if you're going to get drinks it's a 10/10 and you can get some pretty nice bottles of liquor from their cellar. We stopped by with some friends to grab a lunch and catch up. I was doing a rather strict diet and had to be rather choosy about what to order. In the past Melbourne has actually been a rather easy city to stick to a diet in because I can find some healthy but extremely tasty options. I ordered the Falafel sandwich with no tzatziki with a side of sautéed spinach. The falafel didn't have tons of flavor and I know that's what the tzatziki would have helped but I've had better falafel. The spinach was good and had some garlic and salt and pepper which added to enhance the flavors. The service was fine but it took a while to order and then get our check. In full confession I have been back to Mansion since this visit but I went for the roof top bar and a drink which were fantastic in fact every "zone" of Mansion has its own vibe and all are great!

Yelp
I was assigned to choose a restaurant after attending the Arts and crafts show at Wickham Park. I expected The Mansion to be an interesting spot and it was! The menu offers a good variety of reasonably priced sandwiches and entrees. The bar is full service and tastings are offered in the cellars. We were a party of six easy going diners. I started with a Mocha Cold brew Martini to take the chill off the FL winter evening! And my cousin chose the same. We were both pleased We tried the Wild Mushroom Bruschetta and Bavarian pretzel appetizers. If you love mushrooms ‍ and a nice soft salty pretzel These are great choices! My Mom and her guy both chose fish and chips; generous portions of fish, coleslaw and fries. They ate every bite and commented it was very good, obviously Our waiter unexpectedly advised one my cousins on Pot Roast or the Pastrami sandwich. He laughed noting "he's reading me I do love a good hot pastrami sandwich!" He chose the pot roast and left only the fattiest portion of the beef uneaten. My guy chose the wedge salad with salmon. It was more a head than a wedge He enjoyed it, on the way home he stated he tasted no bacon. Maybe they forgot to put it on? We'll never know it was completely consumed. The remainder of us girls tried the vegetarian sandwiches; Avocado a go go and Stuffed Portobello with Sweet potato fries. Both sandwiches were tasty but messy to eat. I would switch the olives to an olive tapenade and the strips of roasted peppers to a halved roasted pepper. The sandwiches might hold together better. ( ‍ I know a few chefs.) The rum runner was good 2 were consumed. We did not have dessert Overall, good food and service, great portions! We will be back

Yelp
First and foremost...this place has an amazing bourbon selection at fantastic prices, along with a great tasting space. Absolutely worth going just for that. And yes, they have wines, tequilas, ryes, etc., but I really only care about the bourbon, and it is fantastic. As for the food, it was fairly decent. Had the crabcake sandwich, which is a crabcake on an english muffin with cheese, aioli, and a pepper puree. Not bad at all. The downside is that an english muffin is so inherently hard that most of the crabcake ends up on the plate after the first bite. But it's OK because it still all tastes the same in the end.
google avatar

Martine K.

Yelp
Came in for lunch. The place is large with a deli, a cellar, wine store, there's Bourbon and wine tasting rooms, a terrace dining area, a tavern eating area and a Rooftop eating area which was closed until July 4th. You can buy any bottle of wine and pay a $7 cork fee. Their wine prices are reasonable. Sydney was our server and she was great! We started with Sangria which was good but a little too blackberry liquer forward for my taste. I was torn between getting the crab cake appetizer and the sandwich as I didn't want much bread. Sydney suggested the sandwich and I am so glad she did. There's more ingredients and the English muffin with the Tillamook cheese is delish. The crab cakes ( there are 2 on there) are delicious. Probably top 3 of the best I ever had. Not much filler and the aiolis that accompany it are great. Sweet potato waffle fries were good but needed to be warmer. My hubby got the fish sandwich and said it was stellar. His portion size was small compared to mine but the price point was very good. I switched to a rum runner which was small and not my favorite. Hubby got a Bourbon. They charge $1 for the big ice ball which is ok but better if she had told us. No biggie. We loved Sydney. We ended with a huge piece of Death by Chocolate cake which for $12 was ok. I think it needs to be more room temp to be better. All in all a fabulous find and I'd come back in a heartbeat.

Yelp
It had been a bit since I have been to the Mansion and we started off in the barrel room. Not gonna lie. I wish I had known more about this sooner since they had a lot of barrel picks that I was interested in but didn't pull the trigger this time. We then went to the dining room for a late lunch. Afternoon looking over the menu there was a lot that was sticking out to me and sounded good but I made a decision to go with something from the specials, the Blackened Mahi Wrap. This came filled up with Blackened and spiced fresh Mahi, avocado, and Island Slaw which I believe had Pineapples in it wrapped in a tortilla. I of course did the basic thing too and went with fries for my side. Our food came out within about 10 to 15 minutes and my wrapped looked pretty good. Once I got into it though I realized that the Mahi was pretty bland. Now the only reason I call them out on this was because it was supposed to be blackened Mahi and there was barely if any flavor/spice to the fish. The wrap was also very wet which caused it to fall apart. The positive though is that there was a lot of fish in the wrap and the avocado was nice an soft. The fries were also pretty good. I probably wouldn't get that special again since it was just OK but there still were a lot of options that have my issue and the Mansion is very close to my parents house. Plus I know I'll be coming back to check out their barrel room and probably grab one of their barrel picks or at least to a tasting.

Yelp
I would not recommend this Venue! So many things are wrong with it. The food is terrible! The service is terrible and the only reason it got a 2 instead of a 1 is that the ambiance was nice. With the prices of food these days, your money can be much better spent elsewhere.
google avatar

Kaitlyn S.

Yelp
I had my rehearsal dinner here when I got married earlier this year. It was delicious food and I absolutely love the look of this place. It just felt so homey. The server was very kind and patient with the children in the family. I did see they had tastings there and I am going to have to have some friends sign up for one of those!
google avatar

Joy W.

Yelp
Fun place. Great food. Super service. Fun atmosphere! I recommend it highly. They have an outdoor garden setting also! Attached wine and liquor shop. Shop before or after you eat!!
google avatar

Jeff N.

Yelp
The Mansion is a good spot to enjoy some lunch but also a great spot to pick up various varietals of whiskey if you are into that as I am. They have an outdoor and indoor dining area, a bar if you want to watch whatever sports match is happening, and the bottle store which is ever so magical. For lunch, I had the shrimp po'boy, which was decent but underwhelmed by. Based on what I saw everyone else ordered at the table, I should have ordered the fish and chips or the burger, but I suppose next time. The charcuterie board was very good. I enjoyed the cheese they cut. The bottle store is worth a stop into Melbourne to the Mansion alone. They have an incredible scotch, Japanese, American (bourbon mostly but some ryes and malts as well), and Irish whisk(e)ys available. They have a lot of bottles from distilleries that not only I don't see normally in south Florida but price wise is within the range I look to purchase.
google avatar

Mike V.

Yelp
Met a group of friends here while in town, used to come here often when we lived in Melbourne. Still a cool place to eat at, but not like it used to be. Our waiter was slow getting drinks, taking orders, and getting food out. The food was really nothing special. We used to love coming here because of location, service and the food. This time the only thing really good was the location.
google avatar

Emily N.

Yelp
Worst poke bowl I've ever had. The fish was covered in so much salt, I couldn't taste if the fish was fresh or old. So much unneeded stuff in the bowl. Very cool place though, sitting on the roof was cool
google avatar

Eric L.

Yelp
The service was good and fast. We had a large party, so they did do automatic gratuity - not a big deal. The cake I ordered was a large portion. It was a little dry though. I thought the prices were very reasonable. My drinks were always filled.
google avatar

Meredith B.

Yelp
I do want to say, for the record, that The Mansion is indeed an excellent restaurant with delicious food in a beautiful building . My pork chop was splendid. My friend's shrimp po'boy was delicious. The rooftop terrace has a lovely view of the water (and occasional rocket launches). The garden patio is peaceful and pleasant in good weather. That is not why we go. That is definitely not why I have walked out with lighter pockets both times I have been. That? That is the fault of the Cellars. Because for some of us, the place isn't a restaurant at all, it's the best tasting bar we have ever visited... which happens to be -attached- to a restaurant. We're there for the liquor and the cameraderie. Get a ticket for one of the tasting tables to settle down with a few strangers (and a few regulars) or just pop in and ask Jim or Danny (their expertise is an absolute delight, and they're fun to talk to) to set you up a flight of something. Give them a price point for what you're looking for (Under 40$ a bottle? Can do. Under 400$ a bottle? Can also do.) and watch the magic. Once referred to as 'a dating service for alcohol', they are incredibly good at sussing out what suits your taste and then finding something you can afford and cannot bear to leave without. Go with a budget. These gents are dangerous and I love them for it. If The Mansion weren't 775 miles from my house, I would show up considerably more often. As it is, it's shaping up to be an annual pilgrimage at the minimum.

Yelp
This place was great all around. Great food, great view, great staff!!! A few cool things were the adult-only roof top area and their perfectly sized menu with something for anyone on it!
google avatar

Becca M.

Yelp
Crab cake sandwich is a 10/10! Albeit a bit pricey but it's a double & very tasty. Crab was moist- served with cheddar cheese on an English muffin w/ lemon pepper aioli. Do not miss out! The restaurant has a ton of space, great for entertaining. However, I find there should be a sign at the entrance w/ where to go & to seat yourself for first timers. Service could be better but I think that is because you can be easily missed if your server is busy and misses you seating yourself. After menus are passed out the service is equally as good as the food.
google avatar

Kat S.

Yelp
No no no no no. No. This was a horrible experience and a horrible meal. The server was grouchy from the get go with our group of 8 upon arrival and it didn't get better after that. We ordered a variety of meals and there were a lot of incorrect things- a few up which were corrected- but a majority weren't because we never saw the server after the food was thrown at us. Yes, a large portion of the fish and chips meal slid onto the empty table behind us along. There was no replacement given and our coworker ate the one fish piece on his plate and the mess of fries and the remaining two pieces of fish weren't cleaned up. I ordered the crab cakes and got some fried medallions of breading and diced onions. There was no crab to be seen. The spinach was very bitter and the green beans were raw and inedible. My only positive comments would be it was a wonderful setting with great weather to sit and be served poorly sourced and executed food. Again, negative experience for our group.
google avatar

Eric Z.

Yelp
What a wonderful gem in Melbourne. Right on the rivers edge view. We sat up top in the adults only terrace. The overhead shade was nice, the breeze was great, and the area was clean. Staff was very friendly and attentive. The Sangria was very smooth and strong. Appetizer came out quickly and tasted great. My steak was the absolute best steak I've had so far in Florida. Well worth the $34. My wife had the veal covered in mushrooms, she enjoyed it. The death by chocolate was amazing!!! We shall be back to enjoy the cellar and terrace again. This place is a must see on the Space Coast.

Heather O.

Yelp
The rooftop deck had water views, service was quick, and food was delicious. There are several cozy eating areas at The Mansion.
google avatar

Shawnie J.

Yelp
I must start out by saying I ordered the salmon entree with the fried capers and THOSE FRIED CAPERS were something to talk about they were so good how can something so small make this dish so much more than just salmon and mashed potatoes . We requested strawberry lemonade which isn't on the menu but they will provide it on request and it was Good! This place is good for celebrations, large groups and even casual dining so dressed up or down is up to you. Our waiter was cool I don't remember his name but I did get a photo of him while I was taking photos of the ambiance.

Zen L.

Yelp
Food is bland not too bad but was expecting more. Drinks are weak. Service was great. I'm assuming giving where this restaurant is located the locals may not like too much seasoning.
google avatar

Madhuri K.

Yelp
Location is great- they have several dining options. Rooftop (must be 14+). Inside in the taproom or in their garden. Service was slow and not super coordinated. There was quite a lag time between some people getting their lunch and others. We were a large party and three of us waited a long time for our meals after the rest of the party had their food. People with fries - they had to chase someone down for ketchup. And that still took almost 10 min. Also they didn't check on us for a LONG time - so refills of drinks was near the end of our meal. My real gripe- The food wasn't particularly good. Crab cakes were 90% bread filling. Tuna tacos were really boring. Hamburgers were just ok. Nachos were very unevenly layered. Wouldn't be eager to go back for anything but drinks - as they have a very cool looking cellar I would want to visit.

Yelp
I came here for a birthday celebration with a group of friends. We ate outside on one of the porches, even though it was raining, we stayed dry. The inside of this place has wall to wall alcohol and is a maze to walk through! They have beer, wine and other spirits from all over the world, including many specialty and international brands and drinks. They even carried one of my favorite Belgian ales - Lambic (Framboise flavor) so that was a pleasant surprise! I ordered the custom grass fed burger with bacon and fries and it was juicy and delicious. We brought our own birthday cake, but thoroughly enjoyed various drinks and shots after our meal. Service was slow, but it was to be expected during a time when most restaurants are extremely short staffed. Our first server was very short and rude, and after we complained and requested a different server we had a better experience (so four stars for that). Next time I come here I hope to dine on the rooftop, as that was our original plan before the weather got unfavorable.

John R.

Yelp
We were one of only two tables of customers in our area. we had to ask for napkins and silverware AFTER our meal was served. After 3 bites of my food, I developed significant indigestion and was totally disappointed in the taste of food. I asked the waiter if there was anything they could do to which he responded but, he did offer to bring me a box so I could take the remains home, which I declined. I wrote a note of displeasure on my credit card receipt and handed it to the manager asking him to take a look. His only response was to walk away. I have never been in a restaurant with so little concern for customer satisfaction.

T B.

Yelp
Good: location and outdoor seating over looking river Not so good: food quality and service has slipped quite a bit since last visit....i get challenges of finding good workers. Tough to be in restaurant biz unless you as owner are there all the time!

Madison I.

Yelp
SERVICE/STAFFF. Absolutely ridiculous. We walked in with a wedding party dressed up for the occasion talking to the people and they loved it. All dressed as "Alex". Immediately met with rude reactions from the staff. They were rolling their eyes told us there would be a wait, when the host FINALLY spoke to us she let us know we would be seated if we could respect the others and be quiet.... Insane. So rude completely on the way we looked.

Yelp
All I can say if your visiting Fl or reside here u need to go to this restaurant, it's an old mansion with character, history & a wonderful wine & spirit/cellar selection that offers bottle sales in the restaurant store. Sat at the outside patio, service was good, food was outstanding, had mushroom bruschetta, shrimp tacos & salmon outstanding. Do yourself a favor, stop in.

Daniel A.

Yelp
I visited by myself as I moved near-by. the staff was terribly rude and not at all what I am accustomed to. The fish I ordered was fresh mahi mahi and was good but it was mislabeled on the menu. It said over filafel bread with tsasiki sauce. It was actually mahi covered in spinach artichoke dip. They had the bar area reserved which was fine but I would not recommend this place to a friend. I would visit for the wine cellar and thats it. Terribly disappointing and disrespectful service.
google avatar

Anniesha P.

Yelp
The Mansion one of my favorite restaurants in Downtown Melbourne. Why? Because you literally get to pick your ambience. This restaurant is cute, romantic, and relaxing. There are so many seating options, if the weather is right please try the river view. Finding a host was literally my only ache with this gem. Try the grilled salmon and the crab cakes, I promise you won't be disappointed!

Sandra G.

Yelp
Thanksgiving dinner was both delicious and exceeded our expectations! Wonderful experience! Ambiance and service was much appreciated!

Yelp
Went for a late lunch on my off Friday...not the most intuitive seating in the world. Hard to really figure out where the dining room was and after not finding any tables in any semblance of shade up on the balcony....HINT for management = figure out a way to have more shade. So we ended up in the bar we think. There was a bar. It was loud. and did I mention it was very loud....and we and one other table were all that was in there....the room just echoed...There must be something to soften the echo.....really We saw our waitress seemed to be working at the bar and all the tables outside. We sat and 10 minutes later we were getting our water. After another 15 minutes, our appetizer came out....a little disconcerting when the waitress now confirms our order.....and 15 more minutes until our lunch arrived. I ordered a Tavern House salad with chicken. While my wife ordered the Rajun' Cajun Chicken Sandwich. Our app was the Bavarian Pretzel Sticks....oh man were they good. The beer cheese and the sticks themselves were great together and a good size portion. A MUST TO TRY. My salad came out and it was a nice portion and the chicken was well cooked. The dressing was delicious and the whole thing was a delight. The sandwich was huge. We took half home. It was spicy but not too much and just as good the next day. Plenty of flavor and heat. But well balanced, It was a bit hectic and looking at all the running around we were not sure it would be pulled off. But they platooned the service with several folks checking our drinks and expediting our app and entrees. Nice to see the teamwork. Besides trying to figure out where to sit when we arrived...no one is directing traffic, it actually was a good meal.

Yelp
I'm bummed to even have to write this review because I have loved visiting The Mansion for years, but their business practices during the pandemic are pretty alarming. I stopped in a couple of weeks ago with my husband for lunch. When we walked in we noticed that none of the tables seemed to be distanced apart at all and that none of the staff were wearing masks. The only person wearing one was what appeared to be a beer rep sitting at the bar. After sitting and contemplating what we were going to do, my husband decided to just go ahead and ask the waitress if any of the staff wore masks. She pretty harshly replied with, "no and we don't have to". So we told her to have a good day and left. We called around to a few places in the area and pretty quickly found a place about a mile down the road where all the staff wore masks despite Brevard County not having a mandate. Truthfully, I don't know if I'll be back after the pandemic "goes away" unless the management decide to do the right thing by protecting their employees and customers.

Yelp
If you're ever in Melbourne beach; this has to be a food destination for you. Granted, finding a hostess is a little tricky, just follow the signs they've got set up. Once you do, they'll ask if you want to sit up on the patio where you get a great view of the area/water. you can sit inside which is very nicely decorated, or they have a nice little garden area which is also really pretty to dine at. The day was nice so we sat up on the patio with the view. Service was great! Very friendly! We found out that most of the breads are made in house. So if you order a sandwich here or the pretzel app; its made fresh daily. I ordered the fish tacos. Really delicious and filling, good quality fish. My friends ordered the blackened salmon sandwich and the shrimp po'boy. All of which was delicious. The po'boy had a unique sauce that was tangy/savory, really good flavor. the salmon was cooked perfect and very fresh. We were all very impressed with our meals. But it doesn't end there. If you have time, I highly encourage you to check out the wine cellar area. Even if you decide not to have a meal here, this is a great place to buy a bottle and hang out as they have comfortable seats available. Wines seem to start at 14.99 and go up from there. There is a $7 corkage fee. They have liquors as well. During my visit I saw a few guys doing a whiskey flight. Truly a special establishment.

Yelp
We decided to go here for a 60th Birthday. We wanted something a little different and something special for the birthday. We made reservations online but once we got there we quickly realized we did not need them. There was plenty of open spots. The ambiance was so cool and very beachy. We sat on the rooftop and really enjoyed ourselves. We started with drinks. I ordered an espresso martini, which is something I order when I go out often. When I got my drink it had coffee grounds on the top as some sort of like garnish, again this was a first for me, usually they are garnished with a couple coffee beans, not grounds. This was really odd to me and not enjoyable. Who wants to drink coffee grounds? Anyways, I said something to the waitress and she had them make me a new one without that odd garnish. It ended up being very good. Once we got our food though, I was sold. Everything was absolutely amazing. Fresh, good portions and very flavorful. I highly recommend checking this place out!

Yelp
This is the second year in a row we've chosen this place for Thanksgiving dinner. Turkey and ham dinners were amazing! The portions are beyond what you need and we walked away stuffed! One son had the filet and he asked for medium. He said it was cooked to perfection. Our other son had the lobster roll and didn't care for it. Great service, adorable historic house, and a fun wine cellar you can get lost in. Thanks for the most awesome Thanksgiving dinner and we will see you again next year!!

Yelp
First, the fantastic selection of scotch, bourbon, and wine should not be missed. What you can find in The Cellar is impressive compared to most, if not all, wine & spirits stores. Check out the tastings they have most Friday nights. Jim and Danny will provide a new appreciation of wine and spirits, and their passion for it is evident and refreshing. Then you move to the food specials they have many Wednesday nights and the beef they cut themselves in-house to ensure a consistently excellent product. (The filet blackened with double vegetable is my go-to with a crab cake on the side)

Yelp
I would give this place 3.5 stars. We ate at the bar and the service was very good but the food was just OK. Would not return.

Yelp
So good! I've now went here twice & was not disappointed either time. My most recent visit, we sat inside & our server was amazing. He was very knowledgeable about the food, even providing a history lesson lol. We both had seafood (sea bass & salmon) & the fish were cooked to perfection. Very soft & flaky and well seasoned. Their drinks were also strong but very flavorful. We had the rum runner and a margarita from scratch. I would definitely return to try more items on the menu. The outside seating also provides a nice ambiance.

Yelp
Let me start out by saying that the service was impeccable. Prompt, courteous, efficient, friendly. Every single member of the wait staff that passed by our table asked if we needed anything. That said ..... The Mansion has been a Melbourne FL staple under many configurations for decades. I went there last evening with my 50 something year old daughter and son. This used to be a favorite haunt of my daughter as she owns a ladies' boutique right down the street. She hadn't been for a while though. My son ordered a steak, my daughter the pork chop and I, being a New Englander/Cape Codder by birth, ordered the lobster roll. We all were surprised that they had no chicken entrees on the menu at all. My son said the steak was tough, full of gristle and flavorless. The pork chop, however, was spot on. It is one of their signature dishes and was near perfect. I took a taste and yes, it was nicely cooked, not overcooked and quite flavorful. The lobster roll was another thing. First of all, why would you serve a lobster roll with sweet potato fries? Secondly, the lobster meat was scarce and quite tough and rubbery. I have cooked many a lobster in my life and while I have ruined a few, and, if they are overcooked, they tend to get mushy not hard and rubbery. With an average price point of $35+ per plate I expected better. The consensus of opinion after we left was unanimous. We will not be returning.
