The Margarita at Pine Creek

Our company held its Christmas party at Margarita at Pine Creek this past week, and the experience was nothing short of exceptional. The setting was perfect, the service impeccable, and the appetizers—hot and freshly prepared—were delicious. Every meal was wonderfully crafted, and the desserts were plentiful and indulgent.

This place is such a gem! I took Donna Kay for a Mother’s Day tea - and I forgot to get pics of the cute tower of sandwiches and bakery goods. Our server was a woman, I think Dorothy, who’s been there for about 3 decades. The outside wasn’t open yet but looks amazing and they have farmers markets I’d love to go to! Support this local business (but get a reservation bc they’re BOOKED!)

Pretty good, very small portions and you usually must have a reservation. Atmosphere and staff is very friendly. Place can get loud the acoustics are bad. I ordered the steak, would order again. Definitely recommend.

This restaurant made our NewYears experience wonderful our Gentlemen Server who assisted us was very untuned and polite, positive, respectful professional, informative we were there around 6:30 over to the left when you entered. We always feel welcomed and appreciate the atmosphere and opportunity to partake in the wonderful food and hospitality the restaurant offers. The food always comes out fresh, hot and delicious. The food and menu is worth the price. Every visit is worth it. I’m going to continue spreading and speaking about this great restaurant and all of the amazing food choices available with every meal occasion.

A nicer place for a date. I felt eh food was pretty underwhelming for the price. But it tasted good, though not memorable. We both ordered the New York strip and it was good. The service was friendly and helpful but didn't have the professional demeanor of a "fine dining" establishment, overly casual. Same goes for the atmosphere. The table was wobbly, our table candle remained unlit, a fly was buzzing around and the interior felt rather dated. Overall a solid 3 stars, far too casual for fine dining and didn't leave me hoping to come back.

By far the best food me and my husband have had in Colorado Springs!! Whatever the chef is doing back there, KEEP DOING IT!!! Our waitress Samara was so sweet and informative given this was our first time here! She gave amazing recommendations and our food was beyond delicious!!!

This place is incredible. I loved their knowledge and flavor profiles. The lamb and the pork tenderloin were perfectly cooked. I ordered the pork tenderloin with a cilantro and ginger sauce, grits and veggies. And my husband ordered lamb with a dill sauce and veggies. The lamb melted in your mouth. We ordered the 4 courses the soup (not pictured) was incredible the smoked chicken and i had the potato leak soup. They were served with a fresh brioche roll. So delicious. The wine recommendations were excellent. Our server has worked there for 30 year and Chef Eric for 20 and you can just tell they love what they do creating this fine dining experience. It felt so romantic and exclusive. The flavors spoke to my soul. Excellent meal.

Margarita at Pine Creek was a wonderful surprise! In the generally uninspired wasteland that is the Colorado Springs culinary scene, Margarita is a welcome addition. We met friends there for dinner and everyone agreed that the overall experience was at least 4.5 stars. The ambiance is hard to describe beyond a 70's southwest vibe. It may be a bit offbeat and dated but the layout allowed for privacy and comfortable conversation. We started with beverages and Margarita did not disappoint. The signature cocktails are ambitious and feature Margs but our group was more interested in their better than average wine list. There were some interesting choices and the group started with a 2019 Colterris Malbec, giving a nod to an innovative Colorado vineyard, and followed with a 2019 Catena Mendoza Malbec for our entrees. I need to say that I went for a Hendricks extra dry Gibson up and, amazingly, they actually could do a Gibson! It was perfectly shaken with just the merest suggestion of vermouth which made for a well-crafted martini. Dinners here are prix fixe with choices ranging from 3 to 5 courses. Everyone opted for the four-course offering which began with an exceptional tomato bisque. Salads followed and we tried both the sesame house greens and the persimmon vinaigrette. Entrees featured the Big Four and our crew opted for the salmon and the New York strip. Everything was perfectly prepared and flavorful with ample servings. Dessert featured dulce de leches panna cotta, raspberry torta, and a chocolate rum bread pudding. We finished with double espressos with a twist. Our server was attentive throughout and timed his stops perfectly. We highly recommend Margarita at Pinecreek!

I went here with some friends and it definitely needs updates! If you sit outside bring mosquito repellent. We were there on June 18th and we left with some bites. This place could be so nice if they added some bight flowers and updated the place. Our server was great. Nice demeanor and friendly. We had the 4 course meal starting with the smoked chicken tortilla soup and that was the highlight of our meal. It was great! It had excellent flavor and the veggies were cooked to perfection. The salad with sesame dressing didn't really have any flavor. We had the New York strip and the meat was very chewy and the flavor was seriously lacking. It came with mashed potatoes and broccolini. The mashed potatoes were very salty and the broccolini was overcooked. The dessert we had the blackberry/rhubarb cobbler and the pancetta. Both were average, nothing special. With all of the great tasting food restaurants in Springs this would not be a place I'd come back to.

Sad! This has been my FAVORITE place for special occasions forever. Our anniversary is upcoming, so we wanted to go there for dinner with friends. Called this past Saturday, late morning, to make a reservation for the following Saturday. Answering machine instructions said call back after 2. Called back after 2 and still got the answering machine. Left a message requesting reservation for the following Saturday night. No call back from the restaurant. Tried again and called yesterday (Tuesday) after 2 (again, according to the instructions on the answering machine and website). Answering machine again. They never responded to our reservation request, no callback at all. No one answers the phone, ever, apparently, even when you try to follow their instructions. They just don't seem interested in our business anymore. We are so disappointed in the change from a place that used to be outstanding. We will be going elsewhere.

First time visiting for Sunday Brunch. I had such a great experience. The complimentary coffee cake and fruit cup was absolutely delicious - such a beautiful gesture on behalf of the restaurant. The french toast was delicious. The berry compote and lemon mascarpone complimented each other perfectly. My husband got the crab cake benedict - I would say it was one of the best crab cake benedicts I've ever had. The crab tasted fresh and moist but still a little crisp on the outside. Great food all around. Our server was Jeff. He was amazing! He made sure we were taken care of. He noticed the sun was on my back, and he moved an umbrella over without us asking. He made sure we were good on coffees and water. Very attentive and charismatic! The hostesses were so polite when checking in, and I made a future reservation while I was there and had some questions. The women were very helpful and polite. I'm very happy with how our experience went today. I can't wait to return next month.

Margarita at PineCreek was incredible. I'm still thinking about that tomato bisque.. like, borderline obsessed. The portions were super generous, and for the price? Absolute win. I will 100% be back. Oh, and the blackberry peach margarita? Straight-up delicious. Like summer in a glass!! Also loved the vibe in there. And service was fantastic. Never had an empty water glass and was always checked up on.

Amazing!!! If you are reading this review, then you are probably considering going to Margarita at PineCreek for a fine dining and fixed menu experience. Trust me, call them now to make a same night reservation, then come back to finish this review. Service, fantastic! Food, outstanding!!! Ambiance, super welcoming and was great after a long day. Quiet and friendly. Could you tell any of this from driving by? No. They are tucked away off the road in what looks like an old parking lot. Don't let this take away from how nice of a restaurant this truly is. I had the four course fixed menu. This night they were offering two types of soup, two salads, four choices for an entrée and three deserts. I had the creamy carrot and ginger soup. I was skeptical at first, but the soup was really good. I could have eaten a few more bowls. Salad was very fresh with a poppyseed dressing with strawberries and pecans. I chose the Scottish salmon with a really good sauce and veggies. Decent portion, I was definitely running out of space half way through the dish, but I powered through. Desert was a lemon cake with raspberry sauce. Also just really fresh and delicious. This was one of the best dinners I've had out in a really long time. My wife traveled to the area for work not long ago and suggested I eat here since she really enjoyed it. Now that I'm here for work and staying at the hotel right across the street, I had to eat here, and I'm so glad I did. I'll be returning every time I'm in the area.

I was here for a veterinary lecture. When asking the wait staff what was vegan or if I was able to order something vegan they went above and beyond. I expected a salad but the chef made me a FULLY VEGAN entree. He made a delicious cauliflower steak with veggies and harissa sauce with focaccia bread. I was beyond impressed by this service and the detail oriented wait staff. The waiter took the extra time to make sure I had a good meal. This was beyond appreciated. I would go back.

Amazing food, from an extra talented Chef. The homemade GF bread was heaven for me. Also, the absolute best falafel I'v ever eaten and those were just the beginning.

Great food and service ! I wish I would have gotten a photo of the lunches... all delicious, especially the tomato basil soup and bread with pimento cheese spread. A meal in itself ! Thank you, Grace, for the awesome service! A bargain for a lunch meal !

Wow. Great service, amazing food. I has the lamb tbones and they we perfect. Every dish was perfect, in fact, salad to dessert. Really blown away by how good it was. As a foodie, I want this to be my regular spot.

Went for special Lobster Week. Mmm good. Had a spicy lobster tostada, lobster salad, lobster bisque, and lobster Thermador. So good! And not super expensive for all the courses. Dessert was included. A great value in a setting you'll never forget. Our server was excellent too!

My folks had their 50th anniversary there, and it was a terrific venue for a 30-person party. It's on a pretty property up in the foothills, with nice outdoor and indoor space. The food and drinks were great, and the service was even better. Hats off to the bartender and the staff.

We were looking forward to our outing at Margarita for a couple of weeks. They were celebrating Mardis Gras and we were welcomed at the door with beads! Our waitress was friendly and attentive, but not overly so. Lunch began with a fresh fruit cup. Grapes, strawberries, and melon - crisp and tasty. They had wonderful cocktails to choose from and we enjoyed a hurricane, a Bloody Mary (with bacon!) and incredible old fashioned type of drink. (Not all for 1 person! But all people desired more. ) Appetizers was the best of the meal. Hindsight would have been helpful. Oder 3 of these I would say. With several gf items on the menu it was hard to pick one. Seeing fried green tomatoes, gf, I opted for those. Here's where a star was lost. They should be soft on the inside but 2 were like they were just picked off the vine. The eggs that came with the dish were good but they were served on an English muffin. Hello! Wheat on a gf dish is a no-no. A gf muffin was delivered later- too late to go with my eggs. My husband got the waffles with carmelized bananas. He said the bananas were not anything special. Dessert that's gf seems to always be a real issue. None were listed as such. I was able to choose one without the cookie attached. They replaced it with almonds which was a nice gesture. If we go next year I would choose more of a lunch choice and skip the eggs. And definitely the fried green tomatoes!

Absolutely amazing. We went for our anniversary and almost everyone that we interacted with us told us happy anniversary. The live music was a very happy surprise and both the food and the service were amazing. My wife and I ended up having one of the best date nights ever. We can't wait to go back with some friends.

Excellent service, ambience and food. It's a good deal for lunch. Bread/cheese, entree , soup or salad and dessert for $19 or $20. The server was very helpful and pleasant.

Beautiful atmosphere and delicious food. Warm and generous service! We were celebrating my husband's birthday and I recall them providing a dessert trio on the house!

We heard about this place from friends we were visiting in the area and they told us it was good. We were staying at the BW so it was really close. We loved it. Unbelievable service and food. And I'm not sure how to describe their ambiance except to say it was romantic and private.

We booked a table at the Margarita at pine creek last evening hoping for a pleasant dinner with out son and his wife. Instead we were subjected to such noise form groups of obnoxious tables that we could not carry on any conversation at all. If you are interested in that form of atmosphere I would suggest that you go to a sports bar or Texas Roadhouse at one third the price. We have been patrons of the Margarita at Pine creek since 1974 but we will not be returning. I give the restaurant one star.

Several of us went there for their Easter Brunch. Great service - awesome waiter - great drinks. We all loved our food which was served in 4 courses. Nice atmosphere.

Well I'm in shock! Shocked that I hadn't completely a review for The Margarita. So I'll start by saying if you have not gone to this place you should. You should also check out their calendar for special events. This is on their website. The do wine special wine dinners, wine tastings and such. Those are always great and the regular menu is always good to! The main level is really interesting with nooks and crannies a fun and interesting place to dine. They have a downstairs where the have the special dinners and a spectacular outside patio. This is the place to eat and drink weather permitting. So please review the picture menu I included. So amazing!!! You won't find a more intimate dining space with AMAZING hand crafted food anywhere else. Can't wait for the basement lounge to reopen for some burgers and brews. If you're in the mood for brunch, save room for a Bloody Mary and the complimentary coffee cake.

I went here for my birthday dinner and was so impressed! All four courses were amazing. I had a New York strip which was so tender and juicy. Highly recommend getting the Malbec.

Chicken sesame salad was different in taste and quantity from pre-Covid. I was very disappointed. Dining room had a Damp odor. Overall an average experience.

Food was outstanding. service was impeccable. If you are in the area, get a reservation and have brunch. Drinks were delectable. As mentioned by someone else, they brought us a small bowl of fruit and a large piece of coffeecake while we waited for our brunch order to be prepared. All scrumptious. The ambiance was delightful. Even though, they had no more availability for a reservation- the restaurant was not full. It was easy to converse and enjoy our delicious meal.

The service was great. I love that place I have been going there since 1976 when I moved here . It's always that special place you take people on special occasion . But today my food was not very good I had Egg Rockefeller and the eggs were raw and you really couldn't tell with all the cheese on it

Great ambiance and service for a quiet lunch or dinner inside or out. Many small alcoves and spaces for an intimate and unique meal.

Dinner for nine. I had the Stuffed Roasted Poblano Dinner. Several other members of our group had Steak and the Orange Roughy. We had salads and Tomato bisque with the crab dip and a Mediterranean platter for appetizers. Everything was delicious. Service was amazing as always. We love the Margarita At Pine Creek.

The atmosphere is so WEST with a MOUNTAIN view to die for! The food was fresh. The menu was limited and enough to choose an excellent meal. Service was great!

Love this quirky, southern-style restaurant. The farm market on Saturdays has to be one of my favorite things to do! Then a scrumptious lunch on the expansive patio with $4 shredded pork tacos. They have a nice brunch selection, including coffee cake and egg puffs, but I try and stay keto. Altered to meet covid guidelines, it's a safe, charming environment to laze away a few Saturday hours listening to toe-tapping music . . . this week Acme Bluegrass. This is a Colorado Springs must see!

Unique and fun atmosphere. So much more interesting than all the cookie cutter breakfast and brunch places. Every table feels special and private. Good food. Excellent service. Bloody Marys are awesome. A bit pricey but worth it.

We love the Margarita and have been customers since the 80's. The quality and service has been consistently fabulous. It is a very relaxed experience. We had a wonderful pork chop that was tender, juicy, and flavorful. The tomato bisque was fresh and hearty. We have always enjoyed the salads with their sesame dressing. It's always fun to see the menu line up and have never been disappointed. The only thing that could be improved is making reservations which are required. There is no online scheduling and often no way to leave a message. When I'm busy, it is hard to remember to call back if there is no immediate answer, but be persistent and you wont be disappointed.

Love love love this hidden gem. Tucked away right off of i-25 the ambiance is cozy and fun. The prefix menu is delicious but the brunch is my favorite! They serve coffee cake at the table instead of bread. Really enjoy this spot every time we go.

Hubby and I met a group of friends for brunch. This was our first time here and was not disappointed. Hubby had the sausage eggs Benedict and I had the Huevos rancheros, both were delish and generous portions. The Bloody Mary's we're on point! Very clean inside and out and friendly staff. It was threatening to rain and they moved us inside, they were prepared. Thank you for a great experience!

Good quality fish and meats - we had salmon, pork tenderloin and steak - all great cuts, cooked perfectly in creative styles. Fresh veggies, tasty sauces and yummy soups. Bread tasted very fresh and desserts were all quite delectable. Pleasant ambiance. Friendly staff.

This is a well hidden local gem and unless you have heard about it through word-of-mouth you wouldn't know what a superb dining experience it is! We had a three course meal and it was perfection. The menu changes constantly so you're never sure exactly what they will be offering, but everything that they offer is top notch. On our visit the soup du jour was mushroom bisque. The depth of flavor was a delight to my palate. Perfection. For dinner he had the Pan Roasted Scottish Salmon, which included basmati rice, lemon and thyme brown butter, roasted tomatoes, wild mushrooms and lemon herb aioli. I had the grilled New York strip which included mashed potatoes, guajillo chile-sherry jus, shallots, roasted corn and smoked bacon, chimichurri butter. It doesn't mention it but whole pieces of garlic were mixed in and were sooo freaking tasty! We both enjoyed our dinners immensely. I have a hard time ordering steak out because I feel like I can grill a better steak at home the majority of the time, but the flavors on my plate were FANtastic. This entire meal was truly one of the best meals I've had in Colorado Springs. I can compare it only to the Broadmoor which is a different dining experience but equal in the caliber of delight to the taste buds without the price tag. For dessert he had a pumpkin apple streusel cake with caramel and cinnamon swirl ice cream, and I had the Panna cotta with fresh strawberries and shortbread. Both were divine. It actually made me giggle it was so tasty. Our service was spot on. Prompt but not overbearing. There was a loud group present the Wednesday night that we were here, but if it wasn't for that loud party it would've been a romantic and very relaxing atmosphere. Everything about the actual dinner was perfect. We were told they have live music on the weekends, and there was a band in the bar area on the Wednesday night we were there, but we wanted the full dining experience instead of the bar experience.

Our new favorite Sunday brunch place!!! Absolutely wonderful with reasonable prices between $10 and $20. Meal is served, not buffet style, which we like. Before your meal is served, they bring each person delicious warm coffee cake and fresh fruit. If you need gluten-free, just ask for double fruit. Everyone in our group loved their entree, from eggs Benedict to French toast and everything in between. Bloody Marys and Mimosas were excellent. Make reservations to guarantee your table!

We celebrated our anniversary dinner here last night. The setting is beautiful- love the restaurant ambiance- perfect for a date or celebration. We both ordered the five course meal- it was fantastic! Each meal was cooked and prepared perfectly. They also have us an extra dessert for our anniversary. This place is now one of our favorites! Make reservations!

Incredible food, beautiful atmosphere best falafel I've ever had and the chefs item free bread will have you asking for more!

This is the perfect date spot. Such great food and an eclectic atmosphere. It has a unique ambiance and offers a romantic vibe. The staff genuinely cares about you and your needs.

I had something I didn't like last time I was here for Sunday brunch. Everything else on the table looked and was reported to be delicious. I ordered Huevos Rancheros and it was an unusual presentation. Everyone else had Benedicts of one kind or another. Bloody Mary was delicious and generously garnished and we were provided with a coffee cake and fruit dish prior to our entrees arriving. We went again this Sunday and I ordered the Steak and Eggs which was wonderful, with well-sized steak, poached eggs, home fries and asparagus served with hollandaise sauce. Very good--scratch that, better than just good. Had another well-garnished Bloody Mary. Meat, cheese, pepper, olive onion and pickle were on the garnish skewer. They had an extensive menu of eye-opening cocktails, way beyond just Bloody Mary and Mimosa typical of most places.

Our evening simply couldn't have been better! On Friday night, March 15, I hosted a dinner party for my husband's 75th birthday. We had several family members that came from out-of-town to help us celebrate. I am not exaggerating to say, there isn't a place in town that could have offered us better food, service or ambiance. Jeff was our server, and nearly every family member commented on his exceptional manner. So personable, timely, careful attention to detail. The music, the meal, our precious time together will be a memory we will never forget. Thank you, Margarita At Pine Creek, for even going beyond what I had hoped for.

We have been going to Margaritas at Pine Creek for many years. It is a unique locally owned restaurant. I have to say though the chef has to go. There were 9 of us. This is what happened: Hair in salad Tough lamb- one was under cooked one was over cooked and had a lot of gristle. (Got sick over night) Tough over cooked steak Very dry pork and over cooked Mushy vegetables Had Two glasses of wine was charged $10 and on the menu it said it was $8. The price was very high as well. I hate to put this on line but I couldn't leave any message to tell the owner so that tells me they don't want any feedback. There was no opportunity for me to leave a message.

My wife and I went here for our anniversary. She orderd the steak which was around 8-10 oz of delicious. I orderd the pork chop which was the best I've ever had. Super juicy with a beautiful crust. Amazing. The atmosphere is awesome and cozy, the serving staff was very attentive. Definitely will go again

Menu varies based on the meal you choose (brunch/dinner). Some unusual choices worth trying (I have had a dish or two I felt didn't quite hit the mark). The buildings are unique and colorful...comfortable and intimate.

A long time favorite, food is beyond stellar, service is as well. A perfect occasion restaurant but also perfect for just because meals. We have done for brunch, lunch, dinner and happy hour many, many times. The Margarita and meals shared there are part of our family history. Just thinking of all the lovely times spent dining on the patio is making me think I need to make a dinner reservation sooner, rather than later
