"This market bustles with people sampling everything from crepes to local brews. Ideal for a midday office break and lazy weekend afternoons over coffee and treats, it's a casual spot for friends to catch up and just right for a Saturday night break for couples with kids in tow. Families love how laid-back it is, and it's just right for grabbing coffee with a friend or swinging by before a night out. It's made for tasting, so come hungry and pick your way through: Start with breakfast at SC Café, followed by dumplings at Momo Station. Nibble on cheese at Orrman's, where there are more than 100 different types. There's so much more, including standout coffee that's worth the trip alone." - Nancy DePalma

"Plan to spend a little bit of time at this wide open, one-stop shop for wines, cheeses, coffees and counter-service dining options. Get a cappuccino at Not Just Coffee, artisanal Italian foods at Zia Pia Imports, an acai bowl at Rico’s Acai, a freshly baked pizza by Pure Pizza, a raw juice from Viva Raw — the list goes on. There’s plenty of seating inside, plus free WiFi. Stay awhile." - Katie Toussaint

Hands down my favorite food hall in the city. Each vendor brings something different to the table - literally. It is always so hard to choose what I am going to have when I’m there. Their mission is what sets it apart though! Glad to have this gem in my neighborhood. Be sure to always check out their upcoming events!

Google
7th Street Market is such a cool spot in the heart of downtown Charlotte. Great mix of local vendors, good coffee, unique food options, and a laid-back vibe that makes it easy to hang out for a while. It’s a perfect place to grab a bite, support small businesses, and enjoy the city. Definitely worth checking out whether you’re a local or just visiting.

Google
Love this place! It has a little bit of everything. Great coffee, beer and wine, lots of local restaurants worth trying. Momo Station, MadDash, Not Just Coffee to name a few favorites.

Google
The welcoming was so warm. It felt like visiting family. My sister and I went and she had ribs and I had brisket. FYE!! FALL ON THE BONE, CUT THE BRISKET WITH A SPOON. Sweet potato fries OMGOODNESS. YES I'm coming back to Charlotte just for this restaurant.

Jennifer Harper

Google
Excellent lunch! Well balanced flavors and am unexpected treat during my Charlotte visit. I had the lamb plate and tamarind cardamom drink and hope to have it again before my visit is over.

Google
Wonderful place to visit for food, drinks and shopping. An unexpected gem in Uptown Charlotte that reminded us a lot of Quincy Market in.Boston. Pizza, cannolis and beer were off the chart. This will definitely be a regularly visited place moving forward.

Chip Edwards

Google
Interesting place to walk through, a number of random shops along with several places to eat and get something to drink - and dessert too. Seating areas both inside and out.

Google
When i said a good time was had. That is exactly what i mean. Sit beside people you may or may not know. That’s okay the atmosphere social. There is something for everyone. No one gets left behind. If you haven’t get there in a hurry.

Yelp
The market is such a melting pot vibe of cultures, foods and flavors! I love it. It's my vibe completely. You can find yummy drinks, w and without alcohol, delicious Italian food, soul foods of all kinds. There is a cheese store that it's 100 an attraction of its own for cheese lovers and next door wine .... I mean a treat! My first visit my daughter and I had a pizza from Gino D's which was authentic Neapolitan pizza - recommended. It's a great stop for lunch snack or drink while you visit the city!

John B.

Yelp
This food hall has a lot going for it. Centrally located, with a validated garage beneath and a light rail stop outside, you won't have any trouble getting here. The vendors were more distinctive and worthwhile than a lot of these places. I didn't have any trouble finding any place to sit. It was a bit of a red flag that the gift shop there had signage asking nicely for people not to steal things, and when I set my bag down for just a moment to pick up a drink, someone came up to check on it and warned me personally about the risk of theft. I purposefully left nothing of great value in that bag, but apparently this place does have a concern. So just be attentive, which unfortunately is probably good advice in any city.

Yelp
This place is kind of like a bodega and food court rolled into one. It's not super large but it's spacious enough that it doesn't feel cramped. We stopped in here to pick up some wine from the wine stall they have. They're selection isn't massive, but there were enough options that we definitely had great choices to look through. Granted it was a holiday weekend, but at 11 on a Saturday morning it wasn't crowded at all. The Market itself also has a coffee roaster, a beer bar, a cheese stall, and a few food stalls too. I would definitely like to stop in here again to try more of the food and drinks provided. From what I gathered people also stop in here to do work or school stuff, which isn't surprising. You've got everything you need in one place. In general, a really cute and friendly spot that's worth a visit!

Jennifer E.

Yelp
I've been here about 2 times with a friend and always have a good time. This is tucked right beside college st so unless you're really looking for this place, you can easily miss it. It's a small food hall. They have a few good options from chicken, pizza, deli, and a couple of bars and wine spots. They also have some novelty shops there where they sell a lot of Charlotte keepsake. It's always a nice time when I go. We came on a Sunday, and they were surprisingly empty. Just went for a drink. Most of the restaurant shops there were closed so maybe that's why they were empty. None the less, it's def. A must try place. They do have a parking deck right beside the building, and they validate parking, which is a plus. They have clean restrooms, and all employees are super polite. Whenever I'm in the area, this is a place always on my list.

Tsai-Anne J.

Yelp
Very cute indoor market near the spectrum center. There are a lot of small amazing businesses that are affordable (pasta, pizza, craft, coffee, wings, tacos, ice-cream and more). There are planes to sit and eat and there is someone regularly cleaning the tables. 10/10 would recommend

Yelp
I've been to the Market at 7th Street a good few times now and it's a really unique space! The food hall has a ton of options from coffee to waffles, seafood and pizza! There are a bunch of tables in the middle section, as well as a few shops to look around in the back. I wouldn't recommend working here due to the loud environment, but it's a great spot to take a lunch break or chat with friends! There is a parking garage attached to the food hall and some locations validate your parking for 90 minutes. My favorite spots here include Geno D's and Not Just Coffee, but I can't wait to try a new place during my next visit.

Shubha A.

Yelp
I absolutely love the Market at 7th!! My friends and I were visiting for the weekend and we wanted to check The Market out because we had heard amazing reviews about it and it lived up to the hype :) there are a variety of food options available and everyone loved their food! We tried the Momo's, Pizza and Spaghetti which was all amazing!! I got the fried chicken sandwich from Mad Dash and it was delicious and the portion for the price was perfect. I highly recommend trying it! They also have a coffee shop called Not Just Coffee where I got an iced vanilla oatmilk latte and it was amazing, the barista recommended the vanilla because it's a homemade vanilla bean paste and I'm quite happy with that choice. The service all places was amazing and there is a little wait at some of the spots, but nothing too crazy! Overall, I loved the place and I'm happy my friends and I came by to check it out because we all had different food options and it was all amazing. It's not huge inside, but there is a decent amount of seating. Totally recommend checking it out!!

Kurt M.

Yelp
Mondays there were only a couple of places that were open for lunch. I ate at the cheese shop and I had their prosciutto sandwich and mushroom soup. They both were very tasty.

Lisa K.

Yelp
This is a cute little food hall in Charlotte with a wine bar, pizza place, and a variety of other food vendors. We had some wine while we were there, but decided to go elsewhere for food so I can't speak on the dining, unfortunately. The bathrooms were clean. We did have an uncomfortable confrontation with an unhoused person near the entrance and I did notice many homeless people in the area, so you may feel unsafe/uncomfortable if you are walking alone.

Shelby L.

Yelp
Nice little spot in Charlotte. I didn't buy anything there as I wasn't ready to eat but still wanted to check it out while I was so close. Would be a great little lunch spot for locals. They have a cheese shop right up my alley, along with a cafe and several other food options.

Kimberly U.

Yelp
Geno D's pizza is amazing. Their grandma's pizza is the best and you have to stop by tacos and get tamales and don't forget to grab a bottle of wine to top it off. This place is wonderful with such a variety of foods to try.

Cheryl M.

Yelp
Easy to get to either by train (light rail), bus or car. Convenient parking deck. Lots of vendors offering a variety of businesses. Spacious seating indoors and outdoors. Great uptown location. Wine, pizza, pasta, waffles, vegan, smoothies, popcorn, souvenirs, etc. Come check it out for yourself.

Tiffanee T.

Yelp
Our first visit here and I'm obsessed! So many different places to try but today we hit up Mad Dash for a banging chicken sandwich and some onion rings! The vibes are great and we found parking on the street for a decent. Good food and good vibes! 10/10

April B.

Yelp
This food hall is one of the best places in Charlotte to have a foodie day! With a wide range of food vendors, you're guaranteed to leave feeling full, satisfied, and wanting more. It also helps that it's accessible by the light rail, which makes it a great spot for those visiting the city. At this visit, I tried the following vendors: JIMMY PEARLS: Bubba Chucks ($8) - Creamed Corn Fritters, Sorghum Butter - While corn fritters have a similar visual of hushpuppies, the taste is different due to how corn fritters are made. These corn fritters are well-seasoned, but don't expect the slight sweetness you would find with hushpuppies. The fritters paired perfectly with the butter. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED. Big Shrimpin' ($16) - Crispy Fried Shrimp on Top of a Heaping Pile of Potato Thingies. Served with Jimmy Sauce and Cocktail Sauce. - ABSOLUTE PERFECTION. MUST TRY. IT'S POPPIN' GOURMET KETTLE CORN: Strawberry Fruit Water ($5) - A SUGAR RUSH. MESMERIZING. MANDATORY. Other Recommendations Fried Chicken Kettle Corn Karamel Apple Kettle Corn Karamel Kettle Corn Strawberry Lemon Fruit Water HIP-HOP SMOOTHIES: Nuttin' But Love- Almond Milk, Banana, Cacao Powder, Peanut Butter, Dash of Sea Salt, and Honey - NUTTY PERFECTION. SWEET AND DELIGHTFUL. - HIGHLY RECOMMENDED. SWEET CRUNCH LIEGE WAFFLES: April Monthly Special ($11.50)- OG Base, Strawberry Ice Cream, Graham Cracker Crumble, Condensed Milk Drizzle, and Whipped Cream - Perfect combo of sweet flavors and the warm waffle makes it even better - MANDATORY. Other Recommendation: Cookie Butter Crunch What I Want To Try Next: Geno's Pizza Mad Dash Mano Bella

Yelp
The Market at 7th Street has been a favorite place of mine for many many years. Through the many changes over the years, they have maintained the soul of the city: good food and a welcome place to gather. The variety of shops never disappoint from the cheese shop to the local goods, there's something for everyone. I never miss an opportunity to grab a fresh fruit water to enjoy while I walk around and shop. The pizza knots at Geno D's are also a part of my regular rotation. If I need a good detox, I make a stop by the raw juice stall. There's plenty of seating and good people watching. There's also free validated parking good for 90 minutes which is a big deal in uptown. Pay them a visit, you won't be disappointed!

JP S.

Yelp
Where does anyone begin here... coffee pastry pasta popcorn waffles pizza wine charcuterie oh my! Something for everyone, I stopped for a board and was offered to include wine with the hor d'oeuvres

Maxwell M.

Yelp
Such a great place to bring people in Charlotte. A wide variety of options, but you are making a mistake if you don't go to the fried seafood restaurant. I'm forgetting the name, but the staff was extremely friendly and EVERY dish we had there was the most perfect creation. The fried shrimp, fried fish sandwich, and shrimp & grits. Please do not make a mistake and go now!

Kamilia L.

Yelp
Okay, I am very impressed with the selection availability. Pizza, Dumplings, Burger, Seafood, Soul food, Sweets, Wine, Noodles, Cheese, Smooth, Popcorn or libation, they have it all. Open and airy market concept with seating for a kickback and chill vibe to a quick study sesh or meeting spot. You can't go wrong. Today, I ventured further down the corridor to try a delicious Rose from the Assorted Wine spot, got Momos, and a soft and scrumptious waffle. I usually get my NC catfish fix with Jimmy's and a smoothy. Either way, I feel like I won! Bring a friend, a date orb the family, and see what 7th Street Station is all about!

Danielle G.

Yelp
I mean, we went in a midday Sunday afternoon, and it was pretty dead. I could see where it would be a convenient and easy stop if you lived close by, however. There's a few different "storefronts" inside, pizza, juices, sandwiches, wine bar, ice cream, beers on tap, a coffee spot. It's a cool concept, but I wouldn't go out of my way next time.

Kathryn M.

Yelp
Hubby and I stopped for a bite to eat on an early afternoon on a Friday. After taking a quick peek inside, we saw that the vendors were starting to set up so we thought we'd make a line for it. There were a lot of chairs and tables set up out front. We rode electric scooters here so we just parked them against the side of the building. After seeing what was open, we opted for Hazelnut Creperie. When our order was called, we brought it to one of the many tables and enjoyed the scenery while eating our food. They also have free mobile charging available. Restrooms are toward the back of the building. As I stated earlier, it was still a bit early when we arrived, so not much was open. By the time we were finished and leaving the market, most of the shops were open. This is a great place to hang out and get some quick bites. Definitely a must go!!

Holly W.

Yelp
HOW DOES THIS PLACE HAVE SO MANY STARS? There is basically nothing inside. My husband couldn't drink a beer inside. I wanted to buy a drink at the cafe and they said they were closing (it was around 5 on a Saturday.) There are only a handful of vendors. There was a vacant store. One cool thing was a retail vendor that had some cool Charlotte art for sale (FLT Find.) Other than that... this stop was a bust.

Takia C.

Yelp
It has been years since I have gone here but when I worked uptown this would be one of my go-to locations for fast unique food I highly recommend going on a weekend or you know if you want to rest on your lunch break and watch the passerbys it would be a great scene there are a lot of different shops within this marketplace not only just food so while you're waiting for your order you can purchase you some essentials books and just so much more

Charmayne H.

Yelp
It's a shame that I've only visited once. This market is a good place to go to if you're meeting up with friends or for a chill daytime date with your boo. You can even take your kids here & enjoy food, wine, books & much more. When I went a few months back a few places seem to have closed due to COVID however I did try two places. Forgive me for not remembering the restaurant names but there's a pizza place that's pretty good & a place a couple booths down that serves American food... their wings are so good! I had to go back and let the cook know how good of a job he did. I can't wait to go back to see what type of wine I can add to my rack and I also want to purchase some of the organic soap from one of the places inside.

Patti J.

Yelp
Really depends what you are looking for. It has a little CLT tchotchke shop. It is mostly restaurants. The cheese shop and wine shop are so accommodating! Love them. My issue is that they advertise being open 8:00AM - 8:00/9:00PM. My group of six went at 1:30 and none of the restaurants were open. Only the tchotchkes, wine, and cheese. Disappointingly unreliable.

Theandra T.

Yelp
There are so many good options for food and drinks in a relaxed atmosphere where you can hang with friends or family. There is pizza, wine, waffles, meats and cheeses, popcorn, raw/vegan options, retail products and so much more. It's always such a great energy, good service and delicious treats. I enjoy coming here when I am in uptown!

Tecola T.

Yelp
Offers a a variety of different options from pizza, charcuterie boards, burgers and wings, and there's even a small plant kiosk. You are able to purchase Charlotte branded products, wine & more! Reasonably priced for everything I have ever purchased here & the vibe is pretty chill. One of my favorite places to come when in uptown. Please be sure to visit if in the area or ride the Light Rail/Lynx.

Duncan M.

Yelp
Just ate lunch at Orrman's inside the 7th Street Public Market. Had magnificent sandwiches and butternut squash with ginger, soup. Awesome lunch. So many places to eat and ship inside this place. And you can dine inside at exceptionally clean, socially distanced tables. Shop for wine, cheese, Italian food, Charlotte memorabilia, and more. Coffee bar and beer on tap at different parts of the market. You ought to give this place a try if you're in the downtown area!

Karen N.

Yelp
7th Street Market is a collection of restaurants and shops. However, there are less than a handful of each. Each time we've visited we always expect more. The are 4 to 5 shops. There is a soap shop, Charlotte finds, wine, cheese and natural foods. We spent less than 45 minutes browsing. It's a nice concept, just with there was more.

Jo S.

Yelp
We stumbled into 7th Street Market in Charlotte since we parked near by. It's a smaller version of Grand Market in LA for example, an indoor market that hosts various local restaurants, coffee-shops, bakeries, small stores. They also have a nice, big communal area where you can eat at. The place is small compared to similar markets I've been in various cities, so the variety of the merchandise isn't that diverse. The Italian store has nice olive oils and pasta. But everything is overpriced. That's what I noticed about this market, as a general note, it's pricey. I love the idea of local restaurants, a place where everyone can get what they want but still eat together, a place where you can do some shopping as well. I wish prices were lower. An OK option for the area, more modern and diverse.

George K.

Yelp
Closes at 8pm on a Saturday 7 pm on weekdays. Covid is over 9 pm on the weekends just makes sense. 8 pm on weekdays. Very disappointing when the majority of charlotte is not from here

Sagir P.

Yelp
Its a concept like ponce city market in Atlanta but on a smaller scale. Was hopefully we would find something but nothing was appetizing instead discovered a Salvadorian restaurant around the corner which was great. If you havent been to ponce this is a market with small food, drink and shops almost like a food hall.

Megan F.

Yelp
Phenomenal momos at Momo !! I love Tibetan dumplings called momos. They're awesome and delicious flavors. They come 10 In a serving. The sauces are amazing, perfect salty flavors. We also had the chicken and noodles dish and it has a wonderful red sauce, sort of reminds me of Indian korma sauce. I love the momos!! They are savory chicken dumplings!! Parking is in the deck, you can validate for 90 minutes with a purchase.

Jackie O.

Yelp
A fun way to spend a few minutes if you're stopping in for a snack--or an hour if you're looking to relax with a drink and a full meal. Love that there are so many different options, so bringing a group would be great as everyone can get what they want. There is plenty of seating, although the space itself is not as big as I was expecting. Thinking I was going to spend an afternoon there was a bit disappointing so do not expect a Faneuil Hall going in and you'll be fine. It's clean and fun and worth the stop.

Rose E.

Yelp
Needed to do a quick dinner before the start of the Banff film festival next door (McGlohon Theater), so we opted to stop inside the public market. I decided to try "The Catalina" crepes at Hazelnuts Creperie...and must say that it was damn good (though the pastry itself was a bit dry)! On the downside, the wait was way too long for my 1 crepe...possibly a good 15-20 minutes! My husband got his order of super-delicious Nachos at Uptown Yolk within 3 minutes...and here I was, just waiting and waiting!! It's a good thing that the crepe was good enough to make up for the damn-long wait! Being the greedy me, I really wanted to try the pizza and the pasta at Zia Pia as well, but guess that'll have to wait 'til next time. Though I haven't tried all the different eateries at this Market, the food all looks to be restaurant quality. I only wish this place was a tad cuter. Actually, it does have a certain urban charm to it, but maybe it's a bit too rough and rugged for my taste? Despite the slow service and the grungy style of this market, I still must give it high marks...if only for the quality of the foods served here. So yes, despite some misgivings here and there, this market is definitely a keeper!

Suzanne A.

Yelp
I don't believe I can leave any additional advice or words that would keep you from coming to the 7th Street Public Market. Besides that wonderful places to eat, drink, and indulge, its a great meeting spot before heading out for the day or evening. The light rail stops right in front, there is ample parking as there is a deck adjacent to the market. I can assure all those who visit, you will not be disappointed. Visit our local vendors, buy local and hang out with the locals. We are all quite friendly. Cheers!

Vee H.

Yelp
I'm at the 7the Street Market for a Carolina Breast Friends Men in Bras fundraising event. The models are a group of local men who are stepping up to support a breast cancer. I applaud these gentlemen for taking on such a challenge to support the women in their lives who have battled the life altering illness. The men were up beat and full of energy and the audience returned the energy by lining the bras and the runway with dollar bills (and not just $1's). Shea and the Pink Ladies have raised over $35,000 for this event so far but the final tally is not in... Great event and a great cause.

Carol B.

Yelp
Cool place for lunch Maybe 12 stalls to select from A little noisy but nice seating outside too Sushi, crepes pizza,Italian, salad, soup, cheese, omelettes T-shirts ,gifts, olives and olive oil, wine Right next to train station and stops right out front Very friendly staff Fresh food There is something for everyone Vegan, vegetarian, low carb, juice drinkers, coffee drinkers, beer drinkers Validation station for free 90 minutes of parking ATM machine I wish it was bigger but a real asset to Charlotte

Michael E.

Yelp
If you are in Charlotte downtown, check this place out! And do not be confused by the pictures. I would be confused as I was recommended to this place by a local and didn't see the pictures on yelp until after. It is a restaurant market with a ton of food spots and they are all really good! I tried the Italian restaurant as well as the pizza restaurant and both were delicious! I also had a beer at the beer garden, which they have a great selection of local beers. Check this place out!

Jacqueline T.

Yelp
This is one of my favorite places Uptown and I wish Charlotte had more places like it. There are a lot of great food vendors here. I've had Bonsai Fusion, Hazelnuts Creperie, Ormans Cheese Shop, Rico's Acai, Pure Pizza, and Local Loaf. They're all really good, but Bonsai, Ormans, and Local Loaf are my favorites. It can get crowded at meal times, but you can usually still find a table. They also have tables outside. You order at the counter for whichever place you want, take a number, and they bring your food to you. There are also a few local shops there that are fun to browse. They will validate parking for 90 minutes at the 7th Street station garage which is nice. If you've never been before, this is definitely worth checking out!

Dom L.

Yelp
Cute lil market. Love supporting small businesses. Restaurants, coffee shops, and wine shops inside.

Anna P.

Yelp
Ormann's grilled cheeses and cheese bar is a great place to buy a snack or to-go sandwich. The bread isn't the best, but the cheese is really good, and so is he soup. The peanut butter and jelly sandwich with goat cheese is good, although more goat cheese would be nice. The rosemary ham and figue jam could also have used more jam, but it was still good. The tomato soup was delicious. The waitress is nice. This space is great to grab a drink with friends, hang out, try new foods, taste test, or listen to live music. It's great for kids too.

Toni N X.

Yelp
Many different options to try, a good "foodhall", the prices were not on the cheap side. There was a wine store/bar towards the back that's worth checking out.

Alexis B.

Yelp
While the 7th Street Public Market isn't very large, it has a variety of stores/vendors inside that make it worth visiting. We stopped in during a visit to Charlotte this past weekend, and while exploring we saw a vegan cheese/juice shop, wine shop, Italian goods shop (good olive oil), cheese shop with a little food stand attached (with some great sounding grilled cheeses), and more. It's not large, but it's fun to explore.

Callie C.

Yelp
Super cute and open food hall. Lots of local businesses to pick from and great food. I got coffee which was quickly made and the staff was very friendly. The pizza was also really good. No dogs allowed so we had to sit on outside patio and take turns looking inside.

Melissa B.

Yelp
Sandwich was delish but a little salty, pastry was super dense and stale. Cute place though; nice vibe.

Del B.

Yelp
I've recently moved to Uptown Charlotte NC and often find my way over to 7th Street Public Market. Every vendor I have patronized has done an excellent job in getting it right. I specifically would like to call out SC Cafe and Gino D's pizza. Both of these establishments have provided me with friendly and excellent customer service, exceptionally tasting food and a personal level of friendly that make every visit enjoyable. I highly recommend both the aforementioned establishments and the 7th Street Public Market as a whole. Del B. Happily satisfied repeat customer.

Andrea S.

Yelp
Awesome little stop off the light rail. We entered just to see what all they had and ended up returning after our plans to have dinner and a drink here. Lots to offer with a wide variety of selection of foods and drinks. Even little trinket shops in between. Large table seating, clean bathrooms. A must try if taking the light rail, they even have parking and validate it for the first 90 mins after a purchase.

Tonya P.

Yelp
7th Street Public Market is a great place for large groups and meet ups. In the morning it is a quiet place to work or have a meeting, lunch might get a little louder and busier. It is a no brainer on a pre game situation, there is plenty of beer, wine, coffee, sweets, sushi, pizza, crepes and breakfast. All under one roof! There's also a park across the street and an interactive art, sound thingy around the building. Fun for the whole family. Parking is allowed for 90 mins, then they charge out the wazoo after that. Be sure to take your parking ticket inside to get validated. So if you might be longer than 90 mins, park around First Ward Park.

Jim C.

Yelp
We enjoyed our visit to the 7th Street Public Market during our #TasteCarolina food tour! We met the owners of the: Wine Shop, Orman's Cheese Shop and the Italian food importer. All three shared great bites and treats. I love the selection of wines from atypical world wine regions.
