The Marksman Indoor Range

Total newbie here, never shot before last week. Wanted to get into it and purchase something for home, so the reviews led me here. Dude, this place rocks. I was guided through every bit of info I needed and taught about each firearm presented to me. I was able to shoot as many as I wanted and really get a feel for what I like. Very friendly and informative, never pushy, and really great prices when I compare around. It's a 30 min drive for me, and I'll happily do that vs go anywhere closer. Thanks for loving what you do, it shows. I'll be back a bunch for sure.

I've been looking at owning a gun recently, and asked for a lesson on a rifle at Indoor Marksman. The person helped was an outstanding gentleman. He was polite, helpful, and honest to a fault: at one point he said I may not actually enjoy shooting. That kind of character is the opposite of what I'd expect of a salesman, and why I hope to see you all soon. PS. The trainer was also pretty down to earth. Turns out he was the owner: I didn't realize until I checked the website.

I took a Beginner Pistol class here in Feb. 2026. I have some experience with firearms, but wanted more formal instruction. The facility was very clean and non-political in its presentation. They had a variety of firearms for rental (I brought my own for the class) and the range was very clean, air-conditioned, and well-maintained. I thought the Beginner Pistol course was an excellent value for the money. The instructor was very well-spoken and professional, explained everything clearly and made it easy to understand, and gave me a lot of very constructive feedback on the range. I learned a lot, and felt very comfortable there as a woman, which I can't say has been true at other gun ranges in Omaha. I plan to make The Marksman my go-to shooting range for these reasons.

This is a nice little range with a comfortable feel. The showroom and sales area is clean and well equipped, and the staff professional and courteous. Targets, ammunition, and equipment are available, and the staff invariably reminds you to use eye and ear protection. They will loan you some equipment if you forgot to bring yours. The range is a few steps away down a short hall, neatly laid out and in excellent condition. The Targets are moved downrange by a manual wire and pulley system, which has been the standard for me at gun ranges since I was eleven years old. This shop has a good, friendly feel to it, which is vitally important to me. I practice here because I like the environment.

My friend and I went on a sat eve. It was fairly slow so no wait. It started picking up by the time we were leaving (600pm). Staff was friendly and knowledgeable. Thorough screening and debriefing went well. The usual extensive safety debriefing that covered all the bases with a quick break down of how to use the target machine. Lanes were swept often and supervised almost the whole time. About (45 min). Cost was fair being a little cheaper than the omaha ranges. Large selection of firearms to purchase and rent. Plenty of upfront parking. A little bit of a ride from millard but doable. Will go there again soon. Thank you Marksman

The Marksman is a great facility. Always clean and welcoming. They offer great classes which were so helpful for me as a beginner trying to expand my knowledge to become a gun owner. The rental wall was extensive and really helped me to find the right handgun that met my needs. Jessica and Kirk are knowledgeable, patient and really focused on safety.

Been going here a couple years we’ve shot rifles, pistols and shotguns. Have never experienced a problem. The environment is comfortable enough to bring family and friends ranging from experienced to completely new. Jes knew I wanted the walker supressor ear buds and made sure to order them for me. The only range my wife will go to as well.

3 of us went shooting on a Sunday afternoon. Ben and Mallory were amazing. If you have never been to a gun range before, just plan on starting here. They will walk you through every step, answer any questions, a lady that was with us said, she appreciated that she never felt small or belittled, and they even helped us understand our patterns afterwards.

Staff was super friendly and knowledgeable. Safety is their number one priority and it showed! All lanes were clean and well maintained. Wait times were short. Our overall experience was 1st class and we will be heading back soon! Thank you!

I can't say enough amazing things about this place! The staff is amazing and makes me (who is more reserved with guns) feel like I shoot everyday!! They are always welcoming! Jimmy even helped me out getting a gift for my husband! Thanks Jimmy!

Great range with friendly staff. This is my local range I go to frequently for both target shooting and various competitions. The family that owns it is wonderful and the facilities are always clean and well kept.

So much fun here. Great for date nights, family time, friends etc. Very laid back atmosphere but great on safety! Always a really fun time here!
