"The Marmara Park Avenue hotel will open a rooftop lounge called the Blue Rooftop this Monday, August 6, offering a Mediterranean menu and cocktails that include a fig margarita, a “Mediterranean martini” with Turkish olives, and frosé topped with Turkish delight. For food, there’s a smoked eggplant salad, shrimp ceviche, bruschetta, and other mezzes." - Kayla Kumari Upadhyaya

Yelp
Wow another great stay at Marmara Park Ave NYC. What wonderful service and the staff always remembers me and respond promptly to any requests. This hotel is my hotel home in NYC with everything I need and 5star. The helpful staff is amazing. Merely, Junior, Angie, Rolando, Tyler, Floyd and Kevin all get my most sincere thanks for another great visit. This time I was in a room with an amazing bathroom and perfect kitchen. I'll visit again soon and thank you thank you Marmara. Turkish hospitality at its very BEST!!!

Norvel H.

Yelp
Pleasantly surprised with this off the beaten path hotel. This is one of those hotels that wasn't always a hotel in the midtown business area. Turkish owned gives it a European edge that we like, compete with large Turkish bath and spa. And even tough designed by a friend of ours not long ago , is a bit worn around edges. Dark floors and dark walls and dark furniture in many areas are a bit much - "how am I supposed to see my black room key on the black furnishings"?! Staff is friendly and worked with us to get a better room that's large and comfortable with full kitchen of high end appliances. Definitely worth checking out if you need to be in the Park Avenue South area.

Yelp
Nice hotel but room service took forever to come. Has nice rooms but the service was bad.

Yelp
Pros: +pretty good location +great beds +bartenders were friendly Cons: -$128 taxes & Destination Fee BS on top of actual hotel fee -terrible communication (emailed multiple times prior to stay and never received a response. Was told a 3rd party takes care of that)

Yelp
This is a really nice hotel! Beautiful views. The staff are so kind and the restaurant within the hotel is wonderful to have. I had a cappuccino there almost every morning and had dinner there on my first night in town after a long day of traveling. I had a pleasant time! Nice amenities, too!

Yelp
My recent stay was amazing. I felt cared for the entire time and Mayerly did an excellent job with my room. 10/10

Yelp
Two of my family members stayed at the Marmara Park Avenue for an extended stay - 5 weeks! The staff was very accommodating and always friendly during their stay. The rooms were spacious and clean; great location for walking to food stores, restaurants and sights of the city.

Yelp
Hotel staff can be consistently good with their manners one day and the next can be next to no hospitality. Room was cool because I had a balcony and the view was neat. Gym room is old, but it's good enough for me. The front door staff opens the door when you leave or go in. Strangely at random they aren't there or they are chatting outside. Overall hotel was great and wouldn't mind staying again!

Yelp
The water in the indoor pool was so cold that the water we touched in the ocean in the morning seemed warmer, and this was at the end of December. The hotel is shabby and tattered, it is clear that there has been no renovation there for a long time. The staff does not respond to requests and demands; they generally do not care that the guest is dissatisfied. Don't waste your money on this hotel, it's not worth half the money they price it at.

Yelp
The heat in my room didn't work. When I called down to report it there was too much static on the line, so I redialed and no one answered. I went downstairs and there was only one person at the front desk and a large number of people trying to check in. So, I gave back my key and said I'm not staying here. Honestly, the room was depressing as was the spa area with the broken, stinky steam bath. I stay in hotels 100 nights a year for over 30 years and I don't think I ever walked out and refused to stay in a place, nor been so happy to do so.

Yelp
Don't get a day pass to the spa or book a massage. I had booked massages for my partner and I on valentine's day but when we arrived they hadn't arranged for a masseuse nor bother to inform me of that fact. Since I had already purchased a day pass (a transaction that seemed to puzzle the person at the front desk) we used the pool and the Hammam, however a person was getting a treatment in the Hammam and we weren't allowed to lie on the central area and I heard the person giving the treatment apologize for our being there during it. Very different from the Hammams I visisted in Turkey, which were social gathering places and scrubbing done in the midst of crowds. Also the day pass was suppose to include 20 minutes in their Somadome, which we were told was out of order only after we had purchased the day passes. No offer was made to give us a refund or to offer a Hammam scrub instead of the hot stone massages we had booked.

Yelp
We had a wonderful stay at this hotel for a week. We had our dog with us as well. They were amazing . I don't understand the bad reviews? The best part of this hotel is the large rooms feel like a city apartment and they have wonderful space and a good sized fridge. we used to live here so we used this hotel as basically our apartment and we're in and out easily, the lobby is not annoying to get through. They pool and spa are insane!!! So many nice staff members! 10/10!!!! I'd also like to mention how nice and sweet they were for my dog!! Our room even had a gorg balcony!

Yelp
I would give it 3.5 stars but I can't and decided to round down, which is not how math works, but this Yelp not middle school. I'm one week into a two week stay and there's a lot to like and some things to be desired. The location is fine. The neighborhood is quiet, close to things but not a thing itself, you know what I mean. If you want to be in the thick of the action, this ain't it. For me, that's a positive. I also like aesthetic of the place. The ceilings are high, the layout of the room is good, the shower gets hot quickly and with decent pressure and overall, the decor is tasteful if a bit nicked and scratched throughout. I wonder how far off a refresh is. Think it would do well with one. That all in, the service is not great. I ordered coffee to my room the night before as a wake up call for my morning and it never came. Good thing I had a feeling it wouldn't work out. Sometimes I call the front desk and no one is there. I went down to the pool and the life guard wasn't on duty so they did t let me in though five minutes later they let someone else in without the lifeguard. Didn't make any sense. Also the elevator is painfully slow. On the 16th floor, I've got a great view of the Chrysler building but I have to plan five minutes to get down to catch an Uber. I also calmed down about laundry machines and I was told there are none. I went down later and asked about laundry service and someone else told I should just use the machine. Just a little chaotic. This all in, I'll stay here again because it suits my needs for work but if I was spending my own money, I would look elsewhere.

Yelp
As a New Yorker, I love this place. Been coming since 2016 and will continue. I love that every time since my first visit, they would waive the fee for my 2 small dogs. I loved it so much that I was an extended stay resident twice while I was in-between leases. #1604 was a beautiful room with a balcony. For the extended stay, I stayed in #1516 and #1101 which was right by the service elevator, so whenever I needed anything - it would arrive in minutes. This unit also has a beautiful view of the ESB! I wish you could book specific rooms - but it is what it is. Also, before COVID - they had a free happy hour with wine & champagne in the lobby every night. I love the location of the 3/6 line being footsteps away! **As a young black man, every time I've walked through those doors I was always welcomed and genuinely felt as if I was wanted here. Even when I came in a couple of times looking a completely disrupted mess! Matter of fact the doorman knew my face and told me to leave my bag with him - he had someone send it up. Also the other guests are extremely nice too!

Rose B.

Yelp
Great hotel. Really nice vibe in the lobby, service is great. The elevators are kind of slow and old but this is minor. The rooms are spacious and well appointed with comfy bedding, nice amenities and nespresso machines. Bathroom is also nice and modern looking but there is zero counter space so that would've been nice to have. The hammam is an absolute gem- beautiful, clean, quiet and lovely to visit anytime between 7-9. Highly recommend their masseuse as well. Housekeeping is also great here- efficient, and remembers small things without being reminded (for example we asked for an extra robe one night after they had gone home, and someone delivered one the next morning without us calling again) Would definitely stay again!

Yelp
Have manners. I had 3 employees hang up in my face on 3 separate occasions. Kevin Kacorri and Maureen Conklin hung up on me when I asked them to explain my bill. I am a finance person and they didn't understand simple debit and credit. I'm shocked and appalled. The general manager and operations manager both knew what was going on and did nothing. I give the entire staff 5 years. The hotel has gone down over the last 3 due to Covid and I don't see it come back. It is right next to a homeless shelter and they don't even assist with donating or helping people. The good is very and. I threw up several times and chef is a racist. Please stay away from here if you are a woman or person of color. It is misogynist and only care once they have gotten your money. Staff is horrible and will never stay here again. I give it 5 years and there will be a completely different staff. There are hookers at the bar who offer services. Berkin is a waiter. He hung up in my face several times and tried to hit me. I reported him to manager, Gokhan, with no response or repercussions. This hotel is racist and sexist. Stay away. I will be reporting them to the Better Business Bureau

Yelp
What a large and lavish room! When you stay at a hotel in NYC, it could be a crap shoot. That's why you need to read reviews, look at pictures and make determinations because if you base your stay on price, you could be staying in a room that's the size of a broom closet. This is so not the case with The Marmara Park Avenue. The hotel is not on Park Ave but its very close. When you walk into the lobby, there is a long fireplace putting out some crazy BTUs. I felt like I dropped a few pound just walking by this sucka! I was checked in quicky and given my room key. The hotel has a "smell", think of walking into Holister as well as Ajax? It has a clean-cologne smell is the best way I can describe this scented air. There is also a restaurant on the main lobby, I did not partake in any meals because I had dinner & show plans. Once I walked into the elegant room, I was blown away by all of the amenities. Room - The space is very large and they made great use of the areas. The large king bed doesn't have furniture in the room to store clothing, they made better space with a low furniture piece to place laptops and pocket books. The bed was very comfy Bathroom - Every fixture was impressive. From the cool looking sink to the large shower, the hotel spared no expense with the bathroom. Flushing the bowl? There is a huge handle, very chic. The towels are large, plush items and there are some cool looking robes in the closet. TV area - There is a small leather couch and a iPad to control the room as well as the TV. Oooh La la! Kitchen - I zero'd in on the Nespresso machine. All for free!?! I had espresso 4 times, I was so zooted. haha The kitchen was updated and very chic, its a nice place to have a cup of coffee or tea in the morning. Overall, I was very impressed with the hotel. Walking to Park Ave, the 6 train is right there. You can take it to 42nd st and then take the S Shuttle to Time Square. Lots of great features gave the hotel my 5 star rating. If I had to stay in New York City again, I would choose this hotel.

Mel T.

Yelp
I recently stayed here since my BF was staying here for work, so I decided to stay with him to make my commute easier as well. Here is some of the good and the bad: Pros: -Location - it's located right outside of the 6 train, and if if you walk two more avenues, you'll have access to the B, D, F, M, N, Q, R, and the Path train. Two more avenues in the opposite direction will take you to a load of restaurants, bars (warning - most of them are bro bars), a Target, and a Trader Joe's -They give you a pair of slippers. I've never seen this in an American hotel - only hotels in Asia, so this was a nice touch -They have an indoor pool, and a Turkish Bath you can use that's included in your stay. The bath is kind of like a sauna with wall to wall marble. It's nice to relax in there - however, it closes at 8:45 -Next to the Turkish bath was a shower you can use to rinse off, which has 9 shower heads. Could have been nice if we were able to figure out how to get it to spray warm water, instead of water that was ice cold (especially since you're coming from a steam room) -There's an iPad they use for servicing - meaning you can order toiletries from it, select a time preference of when you want them to clean your room, and they even have turn down service! Cons: -No fridge. These are apparently available in all rooms except for the standard one -There's a balcony but it's a bit weird - it's connected to the room next to yours so technically, strangers can walk over to your room from the balcony. Would be cool if you are traveling with friends, but creepy if you are not. Just be sure to keep those doors locked -Sink is small, so there's no where to really put your toiletries -They give two bottles of water on your first night. Would have been nice if this was daily, but again - not something I've typically experienced in American hotels I don't know how much it was per night, but I'm guessing it was not cheap. But if you're willing to pay the price, this is a great hotel if you're visiting NYC. It's located in Midtown, so it's a good jumping point to explore Manhattan.

Yelp
I arrived to The Marmara Park Avenue on a monday (early) at 1pm. Most of my high end stays have allowed me to check in early and called me when the room was ready, Marmara didn't have my room available till after 3pm. Yolanda the director of operations offered to make an accommodation and move us to a room that was ready. Naturally I would assume this would be an upgrade but while putting my stuff in 1508 I went and looked at 1505 (still being cleaned by housekeeping.) Not only was 1508 smaller but the air conditioner in the bedroom was so loud I can't imagine anyone sleeping. 1505 was a corner room. I understand in these renovated buildings not having the same floor plans but to make someone think they are getting upgraded and really downgrading them is a typical bait and switch. Other complaints about The Marmara Park Avenue The iPad didn't work, called front desk 3 times. The air conditioning was still noisy and woke me up when it turned on and off The sofa had no throw pillows. The TVs lack any ability to stream from your phone. There was only one "smart" remote for both tv's ("they don't have enough remotes) as informed by the tech who came to the room informed me. The Roman shades near kitchen were broken and not completely operable. The center window almost fell out when someone turned the handle to let some air in. Spectrum cable box has limited features and slow. Doorman almost never at door Pros, great location and comfortable bed. Great cleaning staff after we got checked in. I go to NYC fall fashion week and it's my one big splurge for the for the year. My partner and I rent a suite at a different hotel and for the week we live as NY socialites. My last stay at a "5 star" hotel treated me with complementary bottles of Voss water, wine and cookies @Boweryhotel. Update: on my check out the person noted my yelp review but made no accommodations. It's been more than a month and no one from maramara ever attempted to contact me.

Yelp
Two friends and I recently stayed here for one night to celebrate our birthdays, and the room and service were just incredible. I wish I'd been able to extend my stay. Yolanda provided friendly and warm service, and she even noted that we were celebrating two birthdays and we had a standard room booked, so she provided us with a complimentary upgrade to a 2-bedroom suite. We checked in early and checked out late with absolutely no issue. Views from the room were stunning, the beds were heaven, and we loved the cushy in-room robes. The design of the hotel is gorgeous, and it smells awesome. My friend described the lobby smell as "DILF smell," and y'all... it's good. My only dissatisfaction was with the wacky shower head in one of the bathrooms, which really only worked when hand held. Super awkward and ended up dumping tons of water on the bathroom floor. Maybe some people prefer that type of shower head, but not I. I'd stay here again with no hesitation.

Albert K.

Yelp
Great hotel with a spa downstairs. It gets incredibly hot in the greek spa, which is amazing. They give you lots of soap, shampoo, and more to take a shower. The locker rooms are small, but effective. Overall, solid hotel, friendly staff, and one heck of a greek spa.

Yelp
I am a performer, so I do a lot of traveling. I've stayed in countless hotels and rarely post a review unless a Hotel is exceptional. Marmara Park Avenue is magnificent! I was thoroughly impressed by the staff, the accommodations, and the location. I love the fact that a parking structure is located adjacent to the hotel. I checked in late in the afternoon, so the parking structure was full, and could not accommodate my large Cadillac SUV, so I parked down the street. I walked in To the Marmara to check in. I was instantly impressed with the beautiful lobby. I was cheerfully greeted by Herdi and Kajsa upon arriving. I mentioned to Herdi that there was no space left for my SUV, so he gave me an upgrade to a suite with a kitchenette! I arrived upstairs I was delighted to see a super clean, modern and very large room! I love the view of NYC from the window, and the Nespresso coffee machine, the large TV and the iPad was awesome to see as well! I slept like a baby within 30 minutes. The next day I woke up to fresh coffee in the lobby, and very cheerful, attentive staff. Paul was at the front desk and gave me several new coffee capsules for my room. Upon returning later in the evening I heard a singer performing live in the lobby. I wound up extending my stay two more times, and the only reason I left was to avoid a snow storm that was heading to NYC. During the stay I enjoyed the fabulous Midtown Manhattan neighborhood with its excellent restaurants, beautiful views of the Empire State Building, and all the elegance of Park Avenue, that I had read about. Everyone at the Marmara Park Avenue, and even the Parking attendants next door, showed me such kindness and attentiveness that I consider them to be friends! They are wonderful ambassadors for the New York City! I look forward to visiting New York again, and I will most definitely be staying at Marmara! I can't wait to go swimming in the fabulous pool next time I'm there. My advice if you are going to visit New York, is to book yourself a room at The Marmara Park Avenue! You'll be sure to have a fabulously memorable time, and it will be easy to see why I love it so much!

Yelp
Came here for my birthday and this place is wonderful. I'm not sure if the hotel will charge us for being too loud, but regardless they handled it super well and were SO nice about it. Even when they yelled at us, they were still really respectful and nice about the situation. We booked one of the lofts, and they are very big. The kitchen is PERFECT for hosting small parties and everything is super clean, which is super important to me. We did find a bit of what looked like cheese on the bathroom floor when we first got in, but otherwise the room was fantastic. The hamam is so relaxing and the pool is gorgeous. Lots of amenities and even washer dryer in the unit. I felt like I was living in a fancy NYC studio! The hotel was nice enough to give my friend and I free drinks for our birthday! Customer service here is truly A+ and I feel like the people here really know how to treat their customers well. I highly recommend staying here, and it's also SUCH a bargain compared to other similar luxury hotels.

Yelp
I stayed at this hotel a few years ago and since then it has really declined. Not sure if because of Covid or what, but it's really run down and not very clean. Everything is a bit dirty if you look closely, with a few items left by other guests in my room and the shower stall less than clean. The tiny balcony could have been a nice touch, but it was very neglected. The view itself is crap, so they need to spiff things up a bit. The pool area and the water were so cold it made swimming unpleasant, and the couch was stained. The decor looked cheap and peculiar as well. The whole downstairs area was really sad and tacky. Are they about to remodel? There were bits and pieces in disrepair. I was disappointed by how much I spent and the quality of the accommodations, and, oddly, the room I was given had what I could tell after closer observation, a Murphy bed. Also, no fridge in the room, which is usually a given. I actually needed store some items and didn't think to ask while reserving. Was told I could store things in with staff, but then I would have had to go downstairs every time I needed something. Might've cost $100 more per night to guarantee one. Geez. I would not stay here again unless they make some major improvements. Was quiet though, and the room was nice and dark for sleeping. But those don't make up for the rest of the cost of the room. Very disappointed.

Sarah W.

Yelp
Terrible service. Maintenance and doormen were excellent, but front desk is unresponsive and unhelpful. It appears to be shoddy construction in the rooms (doors don't close properly in bedroom and bathroom, etc.)

Nina R.

Yelp
Excellent location in Midtown Manhattan. Walking distance to everything. The hotel is only 2 years old, modern looking good sized rooms with an iPad air, TV, refridgerator and some plates, glasses, knives and forks. Bed was good. Sheets clean. Comfy bathrobes and slippers. Acsess to swimmingpool, gym and Turkish bath is complementary. Breakfast was a bit pricey, so we chose to eat out of the hotel. Also - the staff was really nice and polite.

Sonia A.

Yelp
Imagine you have just enjoyed a pretty delicious mushroom pasta and dessert and cant believe how great it tasted. As you're still golfing down the remnants in your mouth you decide to put the food tray in the hallway and are awaken by the big THUMP behind you!!!! Yes that's what happened to me I was locked out of my room, without my slippers, and no key in hand. So like a mature person I said to myself let me walk around the corner I am sure there is a hallway phone to reach the lobby!! NOTHING IN SIGHT!!! I was too embarrassed to go down to the lobby I waited half an hour for my sig other to show up to let me in!!! So the question is what kind of establishment off of Park Avenue doesn't have and emergency lobby phone in their lobby!!!!!! This brilliant one here. Also on the same trip, I wanted to book a massage In their wellness center and was told by the attendant "I gotta text the massage therapist to see if she can show up at the time you requested, are you going to be in the room till I here back from the massage therapist!" YES LET ME WAIT AROUND FOR YOUR CALL, WHILE YOU GET BACK TO ME!!!! 3 stars are for decent room service, size of the room, and location of the hotel to the Metro station. Extremely disappointed in everything else.

Lisa S.

Yelp
From the moment you walk in and see the amazing gold metal doors and the interior gazebo you know this hotel is luxurious. The wall divider made of ceiling to bench white doves connected with wire, the scent of relaxation, and waterfall coffee table blew me away. I just sat in awe for 20mins.....the lower level houses the Turkish Spa and although I didn't get a chance to use it, everything about it said come relaaaaaaaaax! Must stay here again!

Tara M.

Yelp
Checked in and had an upgraded room; one bedroom loft suite, it was beautiful. The room was spotless, modern, and extremely spacious. Our air conditioner didn't work. The extremely friendly technician came up twice and couldn't seem to fix it. The hotel switched us to an equally as nice room with a working AC. Great staff, would book again.

Alexei M.

Yelp
I stayed here for the first time and was blown away. The staff warmly greeted me. The general manager was walking around making sure his staff was doing their jobs but they were so well trained his presence wasn't necessary but greatly appreciated. The rooms are big and clean. Sheets are fresh and everything is immaculate. I'm a huge advocate for the subway as it's the fastest and most efficient way around the city. That being said; the hotels location makes getting anywhere in the city very easy. The hotel is also conveniently located across from a Citi bike station which made getting around easier. I travel to NY all the time for work and pleasure and have stayed at "nicer" hotels that charge more. Maramara is now the only hotel I'll stay at in NY

Cassie H.

Yelp
This was a lovely hotel had it not been for alarms going off in the middle of the night due to smoking at a party. I understand that during covid, you need to get as many people in as possible however, not screening carefully enough and disturbing others is not really acceptable. I said nothing and requested no compensation ONLY BC MY STAY WAS DURING COVID and I really feel this industry has been hit hard. Could have been 5 stars.

Alex W.

Yelp
Summary: Great hotel, great location, great service. I would not hesitate to stay there again. Stayed here for a week during a recent trip to NYC. We opted for the 2 bedroom loft, which was incredible. I want to say it was 1100-1200 sq ft, which was massive for Manhattan. The hotel appears to be brand new and very nicely designed. Room: Room was incredibly spacious and modern. There were a total of three very nice flat-screen TV's. Kitchen was stocked with water bottles, Q brand tonic and soda water, and sodas and replaced free of charge. Room had very new washer / dryer combo as well. The room was very bright and the bathrooms were very large and luxury. Beds / linens were probably the most comfortable hotel beds I've ever slept in. Hotel: Great location. 6 train got me most of the places I needed to go very quickly. Easy to get uptown or downtown very quickly. Gym was small, but had very nice cardio machines with built-in TV's. I don't believe there was a restaurant in the hotel, but I could be mistaken. Service: Service was top notch. There were a couple hiccups throughout the stay and they were all handled in an incredibly professional and expedient manner. Of particular note, Victor was the man. Well done sir. Overall, this was a really nice experience. This is a top-tier hotel and I would put it on par with a St Regis / Four Seasons / Ritz / Fairmont. Room was one of the nicest I have stayed in and the location and amenities were fantastic. This place will exceed your expectations.

Andrew A.

Yelp
The hotel room was both nice and clean, and pretty spacious considering it's NYC. The lobby looked just as fancy in person as it did in the photos. The staff was friendly as well, and made me feel welcome the second I walked through the door. The room prices were reasonable considering the quality of the hotel - and I walked away feeling like I made the right choice. 10/10 would consider staying here again.

Christine M.

Yelp
Pros: good staff, nice rooms. Cons: showers cold 90% of the time and very loud construction noise next door from 7AM to 5PM. The noise is not the hotel's fault, but I still wore my noise cancelling headphones whoever I was in the room.

Cherry C.

Yelp
Small boutique hotel at 32nd street and Park Avenue, very quiet but good location. Staffs are very friendly and well trained. Bed is comfortable, but the shower water is a little bit small. Love the swimming pool and Turkish bath, not many people. I would like to recommend to my friends.

Debbie L.

Yelp
Really impressed. We came here Sunday night for an engagement party and were blown away. The entire party was in the entrance way of the hotel. This place was gorgeous. The food was amazing. The space was clean, cool but elegant. The service was outstanding. I mean... Wow! The food.. First there was an abundance of passed ordouvers.. Delicious, light and honestly if this all that was served, it would have been enough. They had pizzas, grilled cheese, falafel burgers. Just an outstanding selection. But then there was a whole dinner too. Just awesome. Cesar salad, Mac and cheese, shrimp, another salad choice and some other items. But everything was displayed so nicely. Again, just so impressed. The dessert table had just a ton of cookie choices with little bags to take them home if you wanted too. It was just adorable, delicious and awesome. This place is just terrific. Loved it!!!!

Yelp
Not your typical nyc hotel, amazingly attentive customer service, understated and luxe accommodations, and a great subterranean oasis with a spotless and chill pool area and a super relaxing hammam. Upon arrival, the valet actually helped to find a parking spot on the street (!!!) and we were all warmly greeted. The restrooms in the lobby were an unexpected (but pleasant) adventure. The rooms were spacious, and they had a nespresso machine! Swoon! Hope to visit again, it was a great place to stay.

Yelp
They charge a $33 per day resort fee to stay here. Think about it. If you stay five days that is an extra $165 you have to pay. I booked this hotel with my airline miles and it did not say anything about a resort fee, nor was I told about it when I checked in. I found out when I went to check out that I would be charged a $33 resort fee and this place is not a resort. It is a standard NYC hotel. The furniture in the room was worn with marks on it and the big decorative pillow on the bed had stains on it. The hotel is not on Park Avenue. It is on 32nd Street where there is construction going on. There are only two small elevators for the entire hotel and they are old, slow and always packed with people coming or going so you have to wait 10 minutes to get an empty elevator.

Yelp
My husband and I had an amazing time holding my New York Bridal Fashion Week showroom for my FW 2020 collection. Every single buyer that came to the showroom was not only impressed by my collection, but also impressed by this amazing venue. My Husband and I was revived by such kindness and attentiveness by the staff and management. Elana, the manager of the front desk went above and beyond to make us feel like this was our home. Elle and Stephania responded quickly to all of our requests. My husband and I look so forward to building an amazing relationship with the Marmara Park Avenue. We will continue to reside here in our time in NYC and possibly make this our permanent home when we make the move to NYC. We highly recommend this as anyone's home away from home.

Yelp
Terrible experience! I have been on the roof for drinks and nibbles. Waited 1h for a cocktail and another hour for a platter of cheese and some crackers. At the end, the invoice added a mandatory service fee (and guess what they did not give me the itemized invoice so i was induced to tip again!). Totale waste of money, there are much better rooftop around the area.

Yelp
This is not a 5 star hotel which is purely why I chose this location. My family was visiting which included my elderly mom. I wanted something luxury within close proximity to my apt which is up the street. There was no bellman to assist with bags, no one available to check them in, and the elevator was ultra slow for a new-ish hotel. I asked if we could possibly get an early check in as their flight arrived early, and this wasn't accommodated as promised by the front desk. When the room was available several hours later they waited 20 minutes just to checkin which is ridiculous given it is a busy holiday weekend. The hotel is clearly understaffed and over promised as luxury. I'm immensely disappointed as we booked one of the largest suites on location, and management clearly is clueless as to hotel operations and standards for the area.

Yelp
The front desk service was poor and unkind. I arrived around 12 pm (early arrival). They said room will be ready soon". I waited until 2:30 pm with no words from them. No password for the internet or any complimentary service to a client who paid in advance for his room. The room was next to a construction site (I requested a "quite room"). Also the refrigerator was broken and noisy (finally I turn it off and was able to sleep the second night). Nice pool and Turkish bath. Will definitely no comeback!

Yelp
A beautiful property. incredibly kind and attentive staff and overall a wonderful experience. We chose a loft for our staycation and a gathering for 10 friends on Saturday Night. Much of our party supplies were delivered and the Marmara accepted our orders. The items that needed to be refrigerated, were placed in the refrigerator for us. When our friends fell in love with the beautifully abstract lobby, no one minded indulging us and taking pictures at midnight on a Saturday. We had a blast and my sister described it as, "the Best Birthday ever"! For business, or pleasure or even a break from the usual - we highly, highly, highly recommend staying at the Park Avenue Marmara.

Yelp
During COVID local vacations are at a premium so we packed up kids for a weekend in NYC. Woot! We chose the Marmara because they had a full kitchen in the suites (oven, toaster, fridge, wine cooler, dishwasher) so if you want to cook or have to put together food for kids it's great. The suites have two 55 inch Samsung's with smart options and cable and movies. The room service options are limited but they exist. The bar downstairs makes excellent cocktails albeit at 20 a drink - the Paloma and the Cucumber Jalapeño drink were great. There's a Nespresso machine with pods in the room which is great. There is also laundry in the room. The shower pressure was awesome. The pool was cold and they messed up scheduling but it was fine. The rooms themselves though or a little worn - the door to the bathroom didn't close fully, the veneer is chipping in on some of the walls. Views are of brick walls - New York style. There is a pool albeit it's small. There's also a small gym with very good equipment. Parking overnight is very expensive and you can't go in and out even though it's valet. The service though overall is very friendly and accommodating. Overall this was probably a 4 for us but more or less 3.5 for most.

Yelp
The customer service is second to none. I've had the opportunity to stay at quite a few hotels in this area- not one has come close to the experience at Marmara PA. The room size is impressive (rare AF) and come equipped with Nespresso and flatware. Tasteful, elegant, and extremely clean. Beautiful views, nice bar, extremely quiet. They have easily earned a loyal customer!

Yelp
If you are looking for the best hotel ever in New York City, don't look any further... this place is amazing, as soon as you walk into this hotel, you are captured by the beautiful design of the lobby, the fireplace, the bar, you already feel at home ! The staff makes you feel welcome, they accompany you during your whole stay, ready to fulfill any request, they are so friendly and warm, I hereby like to thank especially Yolanda Natalia and Omar, and all the other front desk and concierge staff, for making my stay unforgettable. My room was the biggest and nicest hotel room I have ever seen, with hardwood floors, a huge cozy bed, a couch, table and chairs, and even a kitchen with refrigerator and micro wave, marble bathroom fully equipped with an Italian shower and beautiful faucets, soft bath towels and bathrobes. The ceilings are very heigh, the windows very big, you have the impression of entering an apartment rather then a hotel room. And on top of it all, there is the spa area, with an indoor swimming pool, a REAL swimming pool big enough to do laps, a Turkish bath a blessing after a cold day out, and a fitness. I didn't take breakfast because it is nice to buy whatever you like in the shops around the hotel, and have breakfast in your room since there is an electric kettle provided as well as tea and coffee. I had lunch and dinner several times at the hotel, the food is very nice. The area of the hotel is fantastic, for me, it is the best area you can choose in New York, there is either the subway to go uptown or downtown, right in front of the hotel, either you can walk, grand central is very close, as well as fifth avenue. I have stayed in several hotels in New York and this one is really the best I have ever experienced !! I was so happy to have found this place and can't wait to go back !!

Yelp
The staff here is very rude. On top of that , there are certain people in management that aren't fluent in english. There are better options in manhattan. Stay away from this place.

Yelp
If I could give less than one star I would for this hotel. When we got there there was only one person at the check-in area. There was one family in front of us and it took over 30 minutes to get them checked in. The person at the front desk went over the room in detail with them but when I got up there he rushed through the check in process. I heard him telling the other people that there is free coffee in the room. He did did not go over anything with me. When I got to the room There was no coffee maker, there were no robes, but there were slippers. I called down to ask about the coffee and robes and they sent up water Instead. Ultimately we got that part straightened out. However, our room had a Murphy bed that came out from the wall with no room on either side to get in and out of the bed so you had to crawl from the end of the bed to get into it and out of it. It was extremely uncomfortable And it dipped in the middle. The lights for the bathroom are behind the door so you have to open the door and go into the bathroom and close the door to find the light switches. The room was well over $350 a night including all of the taxes. Quite an expensive stay to be so uncomfortable. I have never stayed in an expensive hotel that did not have any room on either side of the bed for a bedside table there was no place to put your phone or water or anything like that. There is no fridge in the room and no amenities. Had I not heard the person at reception telling another guest about the coffee I would not have even known that there were supposed to be coffee makers in every room. At check out there was no one at reception and we had to wait for a long period of time to talk to someone. I asked about the Murphy beds and they said that only the king size rooms have a real bed. Had I known this in advance I would've either booked another hotel or at least paid to upgrade to a king. All in all it was a terrible experience and quite expensive. I recommend going anywhere other than this hotel.
