Billie Eilish Marks BRIT Award Win With The Ned City Afterparty | Eater London

"A well-liked Battersea pub became the scene of an unforgettable surprise when Adele, attending wedding celebrations for friends Laura Dockrill and Hugo White, took to the stage to sing a cheeky rendition of “Spice Up Your Life” and her hit “Rolling In The Deep,” and even announced a September album release; Florence Welch was among the guests." - Guy Pewsey

The day we arrived in London we found the Mason’s Arms down the street from our rental flat. We took in their Sunday roast and it was delicious. The beef and chicken were both very good generous portions and the beer selection is large. Lots of locals coming in with their dogs as well making it a cheerful atmosphere.

GREAT BEERS! It's lovely to see german beers here and in their proper pint glass. Also decent prices and the staff is fun, friendly and ferocious.

This pub is one of the best in the area. My family come here all the time with our golden retriever, and the staff are more than happy and always come give him water and stroke him! There’s always a jar of treats to use and calm him down. Great place to watch a game in a local pub, food is great, buffalo wings and blue cheese is a favourite!

Good looking pub with a well designed and comfortable interior. Just 2 cask ales available on our visit, but an extensive range of "craft" ales and lagers on keg. The food was decent, albeit pricey for the quantity and quality. We appreciated that vegan options were available. Staff were very friendly and efficient, with Katie and Rachel being particularly charming and helpful. Overall, a lovely pub. UPDATE - visited again 3 weeks later and have to say very disappointed with the food. Firstly there was no mash available at 5.00 on a Monday, which given that it is key in at least 3 dishes doesn't say much for the kitchen! My friend's vegan burger was also a pretty sorry affair - no vegan cheese, hardly any garnish/salad and a small portion of chips. Shoddy show, given the price point.

As a super fussy northerner who loves a good roast, this was one of the best I’ve had for a while. The pork crackling was amazing! Also the sticky toffee pudding was epic! Perfect service and great atmosphere. Manager was very observant and accommodating. Service was 10/10

Google
Clearly a well run pub. Buzzing atmosphere, with mixed groups/families etc. Two of us went with a dog for pre-booked Sunday lunch. Impressed by the service with a smile, the quality of the food and the well served and presented beer. They were kind to thecdog too. We would happily return. Spent about £70 which included an optional tip, 4 drinks and two Sunday Roasts.

Google
What a fantastic venue for a Sunday roast dinner! Everyone in our party said their meal was delicious. I had the roast beef, which was beautifully presented with 2 large slices of sirloin, a Yorkshire pudding, roast potatoes, plenty of perfectly cooked fresh vegetables and gravy on the side. The staff were delightful and nothing was too much trouble, the atmosphere was lively with laughter, chat and very gentle background music. This is an old pub with lots of history, a high ceiling and a real feeling of space.

So very pleased with the Mason's. We managed to get a table on a busy Saturday. We ordered a gorgeous bottle of wine and some small plates that were old very tasty. It is nothing fancy but clean and spacious and even it was super busy the design gave some privacy to some areas. Service was superb and we had a great time. Thank you!

Yelp
In London for a few days with my toddler and my mum. Can I just say....THE FOOD. Amazing! Possibly the best fish and chips I've ever eaten in my life and the homemade minted peas and tartar sauce was to die for. Friendly staff. Gorgeous atmosphere. And they were so accommodating for my little guy. Literally could not have asked for more. I'd come back to battersea just to eat here! Can't say enough good things.

Yelp
I expected much less, I'm not sure why... I've always seen plenty of people from outside yet I thought perhaps it might just be one of those overrated local joints where afternoon clientele consisted of lunch time diners from area business and those that call Battersea home in the evenings and despite that I found the latter to be true, it being overrated would be both unkind and a false statement. There's nothing "blow-you-away" great other than its charm. It (in my limited opinion on the matter) is the classic definition of an English pub trying to compete in modern times: loud, crowded, booze, and a slight hint of hunters lodge with all the refinement of a city restaurant. The food was excellent; we had the Cod special and Sausage with Mash. Plated beautifully, obviously by a culinary school graduate, with complementary flavors that sung from the fork notes of a song that romanced the panties off me. Maybe it was three pints of IPA, maybe it was my appetite, but certainly our meals deserve credit where credit is due. Kudos to the cooks! Will definitely be going back having just moved in around the way...

Yelp
Of all the British pubs in London, this is by far the best! It's a modern twist on traditional comfort British cuisine :). The chef is amazing and presentation is as good as the flavors!

Yelp
This pub may not look like much from the outside but once inside it's actually a really nice pub. They have a nice fireplace so good on cold winter nights. The staff are friendly with good service. I actually got a free meal as they messed up our order and ordered two meals by mistake. The Sunday roasts are amazing! A bit on the expensive side but the portions are huge!

Yelp
The Masons Arms is a very nice pub to go especially if you want to eat something nice :) I had a lovely burger there last night - have to admit one of the bast I ever had in the pub but... It is a bit pricey :/ Anyway , great place to meet with clients or go for lunch !

Yelp
I've been going to the Masons Arms for about 4 years and whilst it is a perfectly serviceable and pleasant pub, I've never grown to love it. Here's why: It's a pricey place. On my last visit a pint of Guinness was £3.45. That's the most expensive pint of Guinness I've ever bought in a pub by a country mile. It's probably best known as gastropub and the food is undeniably good and priced accordingly but the oh-so-trendy open kitchen right in the middle of the pub means you can't help but leave stinking like a dinner lady. They have a real restaurant mentality and often at the start of the evening you can go in to find most of the tables with 'reserved' signs on them. Not much of a problem but it does dampen the atmosphere. The service is very mixed. Sometimes good, sometimes poor, but never (it must be said) superb.

Yelp
A stylish gastro-pub with a large beer garden tucked away under a bridge just a couple of minutes from Battersea Park. That's the Mason Arm's in a line. But you want more, don't you? Well, it's a pub with all the usual bits (fully stocked bar, TVs, generic beers on tap). I'll give it credit for having a greater selection of whiskeys than the typical pub and a unique twist of a semi-open plan kitchen so you can see your food being made and ready to be served. However, minus points for the slight snobbishness of the bartender who made a point to tell me that Maker's Mark was bourbon and I had asked for whiskey. To me, all bourbons are whiskeys while all whiskeys are not bourbons. That being said, he did offer to make a Sazerac despite the influx of runners (this was just after the JPM Corporate Challenge run) which is unusual when the bar is busy. Most days, it's fairly quiet and caters to mostly locals and the odd park walker who needs a break. I think its location makes it a hard pub to wander across as you would then to go in the opposite direction from the station and, unless you know it's there, would never think of looking past the bridge for a pub. I found this out when my co-workers took us on a merry chase around Battersea looking for a pub before we stumbled across this one after we gave up the search and were thinking of heading home. The burger was decent. Nothing special to make me want to come back (or add it to my Burgers of London list) but filling and warming which was just what I needed .The chips were a bit stodgy though so a minus point there. Overall, it's a good pub to keep in mind when visiting Battersea Park. There are some better ones further down the road, but they also tend to be better known and can get a bit rammed.

Yelp
I agree that the place is quite pricey. Then again I always go in there for food, which is a throughly enjoyable experience. There is lots on the menu to suit everyone's tastes and I do recommend the roasts. The portions are above average sizes and I always leave there stuffed full of good food and ready for a nap! It is recommended to reserve a table for food as it does get quite busy. We saw either Peaches or Pixie (I don't remember which is which!) going in there the other day!

Yelp
Great roast beef and great service. We turned up ten minutes before the end of service but they were happy to feed us. They knew all the gluten free stuff on the menu which is great. A good beer and whiskey selection too.

Yelp
my boyfriend and i came here for saturday lunch. we picked it based on the fact we had a dog in tow, and we needed somewhere that was dog friendly, which this place was. the service was fast, friendly and funny. the food was good, and reasonably priced (we both had the home made burgers - rare for me as i don't tend to eat red meat - this is perhaps an indication that there wasn't a lot of other options that tickled my fancy on the menu!) the interior was nice and cosy, and i loved the fact they played billy connolly in the bathrooms. it was pretty expensive drinks wise - i paid £4.75 for a small glass of pinot grigio and my boyfriend £4.75 for a pint of peroni. it's right opposite battersea park station, so handy if you are around there, but otherwise i would say it's a pretty nondescript area. we came here because it is dog friendly, but if i'm in the area again looking for a nice afternoon pub to wile away some time in, then i would most definitely return.

Yelp
Quite good food, quite good beer, nice atmosphere sitting outside. The food looked nice and was tasty, though a bit bland. I had to add a lot of salt+pepper to improve the taste of the risotto. I can definitely recommend this place. It's just overpriced, in my opinion. But if you don't care - that's the place for you.

Yelp
Great food at this pub - they serve excellent roast dinners (the yorkshire puddings are great), have a good range of other main course options and the specials are normally pretty tasty. Everyone should try the crumble for dessert...just yummy. Service is good but can be a little on the slow side when very busy. They have a great range of drinks to choose from - I am particularly impressed with the whiskey selection. Atmosphere is cosy and it isn't too loud - my favourite spot is on the sofa by the open fire.

Yelp
Tried this place out as we were looking for something a little different. The decor of this place is great - it's nice and airy and open and new, plus has a good outdoor area for summertime. Food-wise, it's pretty standard and nothing special unfortunately; seems like a better place to drink than to eat. I can't learn my lesson and ordered the nachos which were pretty terrible; everything else was decent. Being a fullers pub, they do have honey dew, which is always a treat!

Eco A.

Yelp
They serve good food. It's pricy but the quality and quantity was well balanced.
