Came here whilst visiting some friends, blown away on the cooking on this place! Classic cooking done right! Everything was well seasoned and came out hot! Service was great! Lovely team, exmoor ale was very nice! I had the scallops with crab cake and Fregola, fregola was very well seasoned, crab cake was crispy and delicious! Scallops cooked beautifully.
Then I had the beef fillet with snails. The Pomme fondant was outstanding! The fillet was cooked perfectly and rested to the perfect temp! The snails I thought was a alittle rouge but they added a lovely
Little garlicky taste.
Dessert I had the raspberry soufflé, the only thing I would say is it was alittle sweet for me, coming from a pastry chef though it was well baked! Supper tasty ice cream and the coulis was lovely as well I personally would just like a little acidity to it.
All in a lovely meal and for a very reasonable price. I will be back
