The Best Steakhouses in Los Angeles, According to Eater Editors

"Owner, chef, and butcher Anthony Villegas opened his first Meat Cellar in 2016, only to secure an additional location in San Juan Capistrano in 2024. Both spaces maintain a bright and casual feel with a hearty menu dedicated to steak lovers. Every steak is hand-cut to order, including a wagyu picanha, Tomahawk, or dry-aged ribeye. The garlic mashed potatoes and mac and cheese are excellent, as is the serrano mushroom cream sauce." - Matthew Kang, Mona Holmes

This restaurant is absolutely amazing! The steak is perfectly cooked—crispy on the outside and tender on the inside. The side dishes are delicious and flavorful. The service is top-notch, with friendly and attentive staff. Highly recommend!

Google
I have traveled many places and tried a myriad of foods. This is, by far, the best wagyu that I have ever eaten. Cooked to perfection, paired with a lobster and caesar salad, this was an unforgettable experience. This restaurant will surely exceed your expectations. 100 out of 10 recommend.

Google
Came here for the first time, and we have probably the best meat ever! We ordered the classic board which I saw other reviewer recommended it. Awesome!!! The appetizers are great too. We ordered the octopus and oysters. Both were fantastic. The place is very lively! Friendly service! Highly recommended!

Google
Casual atmosphere, great food, and high prices. All the salads were amazing, and so were the sandwiches — we got the banh mi, the burger, and the Stagecoach. Afterwards, we went to the butcher counter and bought some high quality meats to cook at home! This place is a gem, and all the service was warm and friendly.

Google
The Stagecoach and Grill Short Ribs Sandwich Combo at the Meat Cellar restaurant @themeatcellar Tender, flavorful short ribs and rib eye packed between two slices of heavenly bread. Beautiful restaurant, honest good food, and reasonable prices – a rare gem these days! Update: Visited Meat Cellar last night for dinner, the food was solid, with a reasonable quality-to-price ratio . The service was friendly and attentive when the servers had time, but they were definitely stretched thin, covering a lot of tables and also tending bar. As a result, drinks were a bit slow; my second drink didn’t make it to the table until almost the end of the meal. The place was lively and busy for a Thursday night, with a fun, relaxed vibe and a good mix of people.

Google
We had (the classic board) that had a little bit of everything, and it gave us a chance to try the veggies, bone marrow and meats with their different sauces. I would absolutely recommend that dish if it's your first time here. I shared it with someone, and it was just perfect to fill us up. By the way, I had the cornbread, and it was worth every calorie lol. Our server was very nice and friendly. I didn't catch her name. I live 1 hour away but I would drive back just to eat again...maybe next time I can try their cocktails.

Google
Wow. Best dinner ever. Went on a Friday night at 6. Just started getting busy when we left. Busy, upbeat, casual vibe. Maybe a bit loud inside but that’s ok. Excellent beer and wine selection. Portion sizes were very good. Recommend the prawns for a starter. The beet salad was excellent. Steaks were delicious and worth every cent! Highly recommend. My new favorite restaurant in this area by far!

Google
I absolutely love meat cellar, having been coming here on the regular and the meat has always been fantastic. I personally get the prime tomahawk and it absolutely never fails. The farm this place buys their meat comes out like wagyu. I'm a huge connoisseur of red meat and this is way better then any flemmings or mastros ocean club, and there is no regulationa for clothing. Come in whatever you want, eat any kind of meat you want. They even have Japanese wagyu A5 sometimes and the prices are quite reasonable for the quality of the cuts.

Yelp
We were looking forward to eating here and sat down and noticed the C rating in the window.

Yelp
One of my favorite places to go to go for a special occasion. The meat is probably one of the best quality I've had. The sides are amazing and the drink our crafted. The service has always been great and the ambiance is warm and inviting. They are pretty pricey BUT it's worth it. Looking for cocktail recommendations Try the boss lady or the no money no honey 10/10

Yelp
My first time here... Not sure why I've missed this local restaurant but it's definitely a good place for large family gatherings and carnivores. Ordering was a bit different. We ordered meat by the pound to accommodate our group of 8 and a few sides along with that. The Mac and cheese was my highlight, pasta wasn't overcooked and dish was not dry. It had good flavor, cheese was well balanced and it didn't drown the pasta. Our Ribeye was perfectly grilled, well seasoned, and delicious! Our server was okay, could have been better with checking on our table while we were there. The order came out pretty quick, not too much of a wait after ordering. The chairs are pretty outdated and worn. You can see the wear and tear, other than that, Restaurant is clean and has a comfortable atmosphere. Will definitely come back. *Tip: RSVP

Yelp
This was our third attempt in approximately 3 years. Definitely not a charm. In summary, I found the restaurant pretentious, and the food mediocre at best, though perhaps not quite as bad as the previous visit where the waiter attempted to pawn off an indistinguishable slab of meat as Prime Rib. Both my wife and I opted for the Filet - mine medium rare, hers medium. I could have overlooked the rushed manner of service, getting the plates mixed then dropping them on the table, but not the surprisingly large hunks of meat. The texture was rubbery, chewy and somewhat devoid of flavor. The sauce helped a little but not enough. We both took home about 50% of the leftover meat but the next day was worse than the previous evening. The neighbors dog ate it though. The vegetables were so salty to be inedible for my wife. I at them but used quite a bit of wine to down it. Perhaps that was the intent. The reason for "pretentious"? I'm glad you asked. We live in Claremont - I have for 42 years - and we sometimes have a running joke about Claremont-ites. But there is much to be proud of in this city. The colleges - other than their fascist clampdown on the freedom of speech - are gorgeous and world-renown, there is art, a fabulous Sunday Farmer's Market, and lots of trees - though the City Council now finds many intrusive and are gearing up to cut down thousands. And some very fine restaurants. Unfortunately, this is a flop. By the way, maybe try cloth napkins? and if you are too cheap for that at least hand out a paper napkin with your refreshments. Geez!

Yelp
I'd been eyeing this spot for a while and was excited to try their charcuterie and aged steak. The staff was friendly, and the ambiance was more casual than I expected for the price point. We ordered a bottle of wine, which was good but not quite worth the nearly 2.5X markup. The charcuterie was excellent--especially the mini chorizo, which was absolutely delicious. For mains, we shared the aged tomahawk steak and ordered sides: lobster mac and cheese, mushrooms (perfectly marinated), and mashed potatoes (good but could've been smoother). The steak was underwhelming--while the flavor was good but, the quality didn't justify the price. It was overly chewy, even though we ordered it medium rare. I appreciated that we weren't rushed, but the service could have been more attentive, particularly with serving the wine and checking in during the meal. The final bill came out to nearly $400 for two, which felt steep considering we shared the steak. If the meat quality matched the pricing and the service was more polished, the experience would feel more justified.

Yelp
Can't say this was the best steak I've ever had, but it definitely wasn't bad! It was cooked perfectly, which is often not the case when you ask for medium. That said, I didn't find anything particularly flavorful. Maybe I'm just used to a buttery, garlicky steak or creamy, salty mashed potatoes, but the flavors here didn't impress me. The cornbread, though was a different story. Hands down the best cornbread and butter I've ever had. I just wish they had brought out more! Service was great, and the food came out fast. All in all, if you're looking for a solid steak meal, I'd say give this place a try.

Yelp
Food was so great! Wagyu board was so yummm and i ordered dry aged ribeyes which was great as well. Salad was fresh too I will definitely come back

Yelp
So here's the good. They have a very nice wine list at affordable prices. We were greeted and immediately presented with some corn muffins, which were nice. The meat is clearly top-notch no complaints about that. But the service seemed a little haphazard. We had told them it was a wedding anniversary, but they did not aknowledge that. That's OK if that's not their thing. The timing of the service of various courses just didn't seem quite right. There were several servers and managers around, and we would be asked how things were three or four times within two minutes, and then no one would come by for 10 minutes. We ordered raw oysters. These came fresh and well presented. The waiter had told us ahead of time there were three kinds to try, but no one explained which one was which. There was no little spoon to put the mignonette onto the oysters. This was one of the times when no one came by. Everything seemed over seasoned and too salty. Especially the sauces and sides. I'm glad this restaurant is in Claremont. They need a little more attention to detail and a little less salt and it would be fabulous. In the meantime for an anniversary steak dinner, you are probably better off at Tuti Mangia.

Yelp
I've been here several times and the food is delicious every time. I really do love it here. The food is great, the drinks are tasty and the service is 10/10! It is also very clean inside which I love. I can't wait to go back!

Yelp
We've been here a couple times now and the food is always excellent!!! The service is amazing, all the staff is great. I can't tell you what my favorite thing I've had here is but we've tried probably half the stuff on the menu and not a single item has been just ok, it's all been very flavorful
google avatar

Yelp
The Service here was outstanding, pair that up with a nine score wagu ribeye accompanied by bacon brussels sprouts to die for made an experience unlike no other. The flavors that came out of the ribeye were delightful, if you ever are in the area and have the urge for steak, this is the place to visit. The restaurant has a very classic/vintage vibe that goes perfect with the way they provide Service and food.

Yelp
We visited on a Sunday evening. It was bustling but not full house so we were seated quickly. My first impression was that this place is loud! A lot of hard furnishings so it was hard to be heard. But people looked like they were having fun! Clinton was our server. And he was great. He was very observant and we never had to look around to ask for help. While we waited for our order to arrive we had the cornbread which was delicious but would have been better warm! It was served on an iron plate so I did expect it to be hot. We ordered a steak frites and beef rib poutine. The steak was medium rare, very tender and full of flavor. Not over seasoned like how some other places do it. I think they were a little over enthusiastic with the charring though, which made it a little dry on the surface. It was served on a bed of fries which were quite greasy but I'm not fussy with fries. They serve merely as a vessel for ketchup, and these were thick hearty fries with plenty for ketchup to hold on to. The beef rib poutine was rather salty. The beef was very tender though. This was supposed to be a small plate but it was more than enough for one. It is pricey and I am not sure I would visit again regularly. Worth a try though!

Yelp
The Meat Cellar Kids Basic Burger and Fries is a simple yet delicious classic. The burger features a juicy, perfectly seasoned patty on a soft, fresh bun, with just the right balance of flavors that even picky eaters love. The fries are golden, crispy, and lightly salted--perfectly satisfying. To finish, the chocolate brownie is rich, fudgy, and melts in your mouth, often served warm with a scoop of ice cream. It's a comforting, crowd-pleasing meal that makes kids (and adults) smile every time.

Yelp
I must admit, I had some quite high expectations for this steakhouse, considering it is one very expensive, and two...it's an "authentic" steakhouse... Seating and service was perfectly fine for a Saturday night/evening, and our waitress was very helpful and engaging, ambiance is great and I love the colors throughout the restaurant. We ordered the 1 LB wagyu score 9, score 7, and the ribeye, two medium rare and one well done. We did wait about half an hour for our steaks to come out but ordered some appetizers. To cut it short....the steaks were not as "mouth watering" and I would have expected or hoped. Honestly they were not cooked very well at all, I felt like mine was half burnt while the other was cooked medium well. I prefer my steak well done so I wouldn't expect my $100 steak to be charred on half side. The other two score 9/7 were decent, however did not taste amazing. Overall, for three people - spending near to $420, I was very unimpressed and a bit unsatisfied. It upsets me because I am a huge steak lover and to not walk out of there very happy, I felt a bit wonky knowing we just spent this amount of money for some (what it felt like) average steaks.

Yelp
What I had: - Sweater weather ($15) - Boss lady ($15) - Shortrib grilled cheese ($16) - Pork Bahn Mi ($16) - Mac and cheese ($13) How it tasted: - The absolute star was the short rib grilled cheese. The drinks were also quite tasty, but I definitely think of that lunch shortrib dish (dinner one is solid too). Why did I give it a four? - Staff have always been super friendly and accommodating. The food comes out within reasonable time and has never disappointed my palate. Verdict? - Give it a go if you're in Claremont.

Yelp
I liked all the food so much! Flavorful, fresh, hearty!!! I got the filet minon with asparagus and potatoes and the potatoes were so good! A bit loud for conversation but i like the environment anyway and thought I'd like to come back for a date night. My plate was $65 but it was clearly an excellent steak so I think that's about what I would expect! Service was good, it was a big group and we all got our food with zero issues

Yelp
Ambiance - 5/5 From the butcher counter to the open kitchen to the bar everything was well thought out. Food - 5/5 The steak amazing and the Brussels sprouts were great. I would definitely order those again. The salad was ok. I would probably try another salad next time. The portions were huge. Between the wife and I we didn't finish any of the sides. Service - 5/5 Alex was our server and he was top notch. He was very knowledgeable and provided a bunch of great recommendations. We will definitely be back.

Yelp
The meat cellar is for sure a place to check out. The biscuits , delicious. The burger was good , I did ask for medium rare and it came out well done . Oh well. It was still juicy. Ok, so the fries , soggy. Way too greasy. A lil bit of a disappointment because I love the fries here . The steak wedge was a hit , for sure super yummy. My friends loved the bone and marrow and they were saying "omg soooo good" I gave it a try , just. It my thing . The drinks , WOW! Amazing! Both were great choices. I will say that the feel of the place is very nice but at the same time casual dining. Our server Clinton was phenomenal. Always attentive and super sweet ... just great, great service. For sure will be coming back here .

Yelp
Location: Off of foothill & Indian Hill Parking: On the smaller side but if you're lucky it won't be much of a fight. Food: DELICIOUS! DELICIOUS! DELICIOUS! Tomahawk was everything and more! The flaky salt & pepper on the side made even better. Nothing worse than table salt on a fine cut of steak. It's so delicious no sauce or butter needed. Perfectly cooked medium. Broccolini was so good, flavorful and kick of spice, hint of lemon and salt. Hot with still a bite to it. Great side if you're low carb. -Lobster Mac N Cheese- Seriously, can life get any better. This Mac and cheese had big chunks of lobster. Not even Mastros compares. These chunks are big enough for me a low-carber to pick out and eat. Soooo good and affordable! -The tuna tartare is by far the best in the area, no raw egg to ruin it either, nor capers. It's plain, flavorful and the quality just speaks for itself. Side note I just wish there was more mustard as it really compliments the dish. - Drinks are alcohol heavy and worth every penny. Service: Top notch, our server was amazing. He went all out for us. He was checking on us often but not overbearing. Ambience: Good background music that allowed tables to talk without yelling. We always thought this was a fancy place and upon entering we realized it's more laid back than expected and I loved that. Can't wait to come back.

Yelp
Love the steaks here ! They changed up the menu a bit to where you pay by the pound . The style of it is definitely low key and very laid back perfect for a quality date night . Service is ok depending on the time . When I went it did take a long time to get the steak but it was worth the wait. Definitely on the pricey end for a restaurant.
google avatar

Yelp
Came here for my birthday and I'm so glad that I did. We made a reservation so we didn't have to wait in line but the place was packed so glad that we did. You know that when your tap free water is bomb everything after will be bomb. Best tap water. After they give the table these corn bread muffins with pieces of corn. They are to die for. We ordered the rib eye and wagyu piccania, oysters, bacon appetizer and some pecan dessert. Every meat that we got was well seasoned and perfectly cooked. Everything was so delicious. I can't wait to come back and try more. They also have a section of the resturant to buy meat to cook at home.
google avatar

Esther M.

Yelp
The ambiance was good but I'm not sure if it gave me a high-end steakhouse vibe. The service was pretty slow considering there were only 4 tables when my friend and I got there. It took awhile for the server to take our order, bring out our wine, and food. We ordered the salad, brussels sprouts, steak, and glass of wine each. TBH, we were not full lol. The plating for the steak was alright lol. It just looked very plain and small. Everything tasted pretty good but it was definitely not worth the price considering the portion and the slow service. Not sure if I would come back again.

Yelp
If you are looking for a modern steakhouse to go out for a special occasion in the Ontario/Upland/Claremont, I would highly recommend checking out Meat Cellar! LOCATION: on Foothill in the top of Claremont, hard to miss on the main road. It's on building and decent amount of parking spaces. Small parking lot to the left of the building and a couple of street parking. SERVICE: We had Clinton as our serve and he was friendly, professional, and honest with any recommendations! If you get Clinton, say hi to him! Great service overall. The front host was accommodating for seats and other seating we preferred. Clinton was helpful with recommendations and his own honest opinion not just the highest priced item. FOOD: The free Cornbread was a nice touch and the butter was delicious. The oysters were flavorful and tasty and great appetizer option. We loved the pork belly with the grits sauce underneath, highly recommend that one. The beef tartar was ok. The dry-aged tomahawk was delicious and the lobster and wagyu combo was a great special option at a discounted rate. Full plates and the we were definitely full and satisfied! It is pricey for the meats higher than most other places.

Yelp
I love this place. I got a gift card from my daughter for Father's Day. And I just found it in my things. So I went on over for a late lunch. Steak, Fritts and an old-fashioned. You can't go wrong the place is super clean. The staff is always friendly. Ryan and Emily took great care of me thank you

Yelp
Nice place close to where we live! I must say their steaks are exceptionally great! Service was sub par - food made up for it - but I would keep it on my top list when taking someone new - service must be better

Yelp
Came to have a nice dinner for Valentine's Day . The food was so delicious, we had drinks as well . Service was excellent Clinton our server was very helpful and very friendly. His recommendation was on point . The ambience was very nice , lots of tables no long waits .

Jeanie L.

Yelp
Came here for dinner and was pretty impressed with the meat. Quality was really good and I was so full afterwards. We ordered a prime tomahawk, charred octopus, caesar salad, brussel sprouts, and fries. I would definitely order all of these again because they were super delicious. However, I'm giving 4 stars because even though I had a reservation made, they wouldn't let me sit down when I arrived 15 minutes early. They said my whole party had to be here before they seated me. This rule would make sense to me if the restaurant was full, but the restaurant was pretty empty when I arrived. I originally wanted to sit down and order a drink while waiting but since they didn't give me a table, I ended up just sitting in the waiting area.

Yelp
One of my favorite places to go after work! The bar staff is simply the best anywhere - professional, kind, friendly and so knowledgeable and crafty with their offerings. You can see the love and artistry they put into everything they make. I look forward to my visits and have referred to many friends.

Yelp
Food was delicious. Best steak! The Surf & Turf was delicious. Salad was fresh, lobster so juicy.

Yelp
I am so impressed with this random find in the Claremont/Upland area. I'm not much of a meat eater but I do enjoy myself a tenderized, juicy chunk of meat once in awhile. We came here one evening and it was a just what we were looking for, a modern steakhouse to celebrate a special occasion. The parking lot is small so there are limited spots. The food was delectable. Shortly after we ordered water and cornbread was brought to our table. The cornbread was warm and the butter was tasty. There is a great selection of high quality meats including wagyu. We ordered the tomahawk steak and it was melt in your mouth good. They also ask if you have a pet or dog that would enjoy the bone and can bag that up for you at the end of your meal. The sides are a la carte and are an additional charge. The service was amazing. The bartender and servers were very friendly and attentive. I would definitely return to the Meat Cellar for date night, or special event, or when feeling fancy.

Yelp
My coworkers had been raving about this place so we finally made time to stop by. The restaurant itself is really cute and I love how the menu itself says there's no dress code. We started off with the poutine which was rich and delicious and more than enough for 2 people! Now, I would recommend an appetizer because the food takes forever to come out. Menu says expect half an hour per lb of meat. The hubby and I ordered the brussel sprouts and shared 1.5 lbs of the New York steak. Brussel sprouts were super tasty (think bacon and balsamic) but the steak was not impressive. It was kindof chewy and tough. Perhaps a different cut would have been better. The worst part of the whole experience was the service. The restaurant was empty but we still waited 15-20 mins to get seated. We waited another 15-20 mins just to be seen and place a drink order. It was kindof offensive. Everything was so damn slow. Our waiter was fine and nice and apologized for the wait but it's going to affect the customer satisfaction. I wouldn't come back. Def don't come in if you're hungry.
google avatar

Yelp
This place is the place to get your steak fix! We ordered a few things. 1. The short ribs fries 2. Prime Bone in rib eye 3. Charred octopus 4. Bread pudding dessert The steak was juicy and tender and cooked to perfection. Best steak I ever had and we love meat!! The octopus was delicious too, and the presentation was nice. We had a few drinks - old fashioned and Boss Lady (Two rounds). The drinks were on point. Our server Anthony was so nice and attentive. Service was excellent. We had a few questions about the menu items and he was informative. Checked on us and made sure we were good too. Ambiance was fantastic- nice lights and wall decor and the bar was fully stocked. Everything was Decadent!

Yelp
Came here for a groomsmen dinner, and it was a perfect spot to hang out to enjoy a great selection of meat and drinks. Really enjoyed the paper plane drink. Bourbon went perfectly well with amaretto. It's one of my favorite drinks so far. The wagyu tasted really rich and was very flavorful. All the steaks were delicious and cooked to perfection. Definitely will be back for more.

Yelp
Lunchtime with steak wedge and filet sandwich. Anything with steak rocks here. Best part was server Dominique! Never enjoyed a server more, great attentive service and great stories to tell.
google avatar

Andy B.

Yelp
I had the $140 wagyu ny strip with bacon Brussels and roasted potatoes. The steak was extremely tender as expected. The Brussels were lukewarm and almost burnt. The potatoes had a weird aftertaste and were also lukewarm. The service was decent. My dining partner had the wagyu picanha with a risotto that was good and broccolini that had a strange vinegar taste. It was a one-time experience to try wagyu. Probably won't be returning as the value vs quality just wasn't there.
google avatar

Bob U.

Yelp
Second best steak of my life. No joke. I would eat here once a week for rest of my life. Service at the bar is impeccable. I just had whiskey and wine but witnessed many craft cocktails come together with skill. I'm actually regretful that I don't live here to experience this more often.

Yelp
Always a treat! Good food, good service! Chilean Seabass outstanding. Beef poutine will fill you up so make sure you share, it's so so good!

Yelp
Our granddaughter requested one thing before she leaves for a month and that was to go to The Meat Cellar and have a wagyu steak. Our waiter was very helpful and helped us to order. When the food came out she was Omg. We loved every bit so delicious

Yelp
This is my second time coming here. Must try the fancy burger! It's soo delicious! The ambiance and the service were good too. We went late lunch, so plenty of parking. The previous time I was here, I had the salmon and the braised beef fries and they were good too. It was the fancy burger that called me back to this place tho*

Yelp
Best place to get high quality steak with amazing staff and awesome ambiance. This is a must if you love steak.

Yelp
Stopped by for a drink and appetizer and what a hidden treasure. Located in the same building that used to be Wolfe Market ( they still sell meat and salads) is a great restaurant for lunch or dinner. First, what we had: the short rib poutine was mind blowing. The fries were seasoned so well and loaded with unctuous short rib meat, gravy and melted cheese. We shared the generous portion and are now stuffed. The Dao Cabernet was delicious. Claremont Alehouse blonde nutty and smooth. As recommended by our sever, the Japanese lager, Panam was crisp and fruity. Our server Pablo was phenomenal. Seriously, the best service in quite a long time. I recommend checking out this hidden gem.

Yelp
Came here for a work celebration. 2nd time coming here and the food is always amazing. Customer service is fantastic! Highly recommend coming here for a date, celebration, etc. This place has the best Old Fashions I've ever had! Giving Gabagool vibes

Yelp
I was really satisfied with the friendly wait staff and bartender Greg. The door greeter Dylan Was very attentive and immediately brought us water and cornbread (which was delicious) promptly upon seating us. The bartender Greg hooked us up with delicious cocktails, mine was the Smokey pine and pencil thin mustache which were very tiki tasting. My server Chelsea, got the chef to make me vegan style mushrooms which were delicious, with rosemary and pepper, such a treat. Boyfriend got Poutine but was sadly disappointed it didn't have enough gravy in it and was on the dryer side. He otherwise enjoyed the beautiful ambience of the restaurant and the whiskey special, cocktail of the week A5 old fashioned. I would highly recommend this restaurant for a date night, special occasion, or just a great time out feeling fancy.

Yelp
This was a place in cherished. Loved heading to this restaurant and enjoying a nice steak and sides. But sadly, the last two times were not up to par. I was hoping the previous to this last time was a fluke. We visited this past Sunday. Dinner for four, celebrating my daughters boyfriend's graduation from the Air Force Boot Camp and air traffic control school. We are excited to take them out, as he was never been there. Dinner started out with an order of oysters, which we are told we're sold out for the day Because it was Sunday. We ran out of the upgrade to the surf and turf which was a Wagyu steak so we upgraded with a different Wagyu that meal was $124. The octopus was cold in the center. I ordered a prime Las dry age, ribeye, with almost 5 to 6 ounces of fat. The lobster was delicious, as was the lobster mac & cheese. Overall restaurant seems to have decreased in quality and care for overall expectations, leading to this lower review.

Yelp
C GRADE! Noticed letter grade dated 5/13/25 on my way out from the front door. Unfortunately, I entered through the side door which had no posting. They only had one waiter which was not adequate. They had several kitchen staff that were chatting and seemed lacking attention to the cooking. The food arrived barely warm like it was sitting for a long time before it was brought to our table. Had the stage coach sandwich and the meat was not rib eye, seemed like a braised meat that was placed on griddle to rewarm and it hardened. So disappointed, the quality of food is lacking and now safety is a concern. I will not be returning.

Yelp
THEY CHARGE EXTRA FOR CHERRIES! Scam. Pretty bummed out on my recent experience at the meat cellar. I've been here about 7 times in the last year and boy was I shocked to learn they now CHARGE FOR CHERRIES IN MY OLD FASHIONED. I come here for the food, drinks, and most importantly the service. I spent $350 and I have to pay extra for my cherries? It's not about the money it's about enjoying my $15 drink and not being bothered to pay more for extra cherries. Ruined my experience & appetite. This is a higher end place and to nickel and dime me ruined my experience. Wild. New York steak was good and sides also but just didn't wanna be there after that. I'm not being unreasonable this is just a problem. Be better.
