I liked the simplicity of the menu and the ease to select the meatballs and sauce. The staff was pleasant and let us choose where we sit. The meatballs were good, fun to try, but not the best ever if that makes sense. I don’t know if this is a nyc thing, but when we received our receipt to leave tip, there wasn’t a breakdown of meal vs tax.

Love this location very much! Always sit at the bar and regardless of whether it’s day or night I’m always treated well. Today had the ramen ball bowl, which was good...but nothing can compare for eh kitchen sink dish at this place. I usually always get it with the special ball and special sauce to change it up all the time.

This is one of my favorite places to take out of state people. It's simple but the food is delicious. It's a small place, but the tables turn over pretty quickly. The meatballs are amazing, and they have a good variety of balls including veggie. The menu is pretty straight forward, once it's explained to you. You can get the balls in a sandwich, with a side (either on top or separately), or in a salad. You also have the choice of various sauces. The attached images are of a buffalo chicken meatball appetizer, spicy pork with creamy parmesan sauce on a white hero, beef meatball on risotto, and beef meatballs on mashed potatoes. It's not the biggest place, so if you go during dinner time expect a wait. On weekends the wait can be pretty long. If you're not the fan of a long wait, you can always do take out. When it's warmer out there are some places not far away to sit and eat.

First time here and it didn’t disappoint. I ordered the classic meatball and pasta. The meatballs are very juicy and tasteful. Not salty at all like some other reviews have mentioned.

Really great meatballs!! The menu is fun and easy to navigate, this is the perfect spot to go to before and after the party!! My only critique is the family style table doesn't really allow for private conversation.

Hearty and delicious dishes. Made a great First Breakfast the next morning, too. Extra kudos for a killer drink menu and for playing all the best standards that classic rock has to offer, too.

Definitely worth the walk/wait/trip or whatever else. Tasty meatballs, options for all but kept it simple and the waitress/bartender was just enough friendly and attentive. Definitely going back here. Love going at opening time, it's most empty.

Spicy pork parmasean cream.....no other words are needed! Top of my happy list and if ever a last meal..that is definitely on the list. If this doesn't make you happy, warm and full of comfort just stop eating food. Look forward to always going back to the original in lower East side. #showusyourballs
