Midway Pub in East Atlanta Village boasts a massive, dog-friendly patio and a hearty menu of delicious pub grub, making it a go-to for casual bites and sports with friends.
"Once an auto shop, this East Atlanta favorite known for its low-key, dog-friendly, heated patio serves a menu filled with solid pub grub, including wings, smash burgers, salads, and three types of chicken sandwiches. Free parking on Glenwood Avenue and plenty of outdoor seating make it easy to linger over draft beer, cocktails, and wine." - Su-Jit Lin
"East Atlanta Village isn’t exactly synonymous with sports. But over the last few years, Midway has established itself as a bona fide sports bar. Stroll in on a Sunday and you’re likely to see a Ravens fan cheering at the bar next to a Falcons fan crying into their basket of wings. When our ATL teams come up short, we take a breather outside on the massive covered patio. But this place is not just for football fanatics. We’ve witnessed a full house, watching everything from Premier League games to lacrosse. A large beer menu and handhelds, like solid chicken tenders and mozzarella sticks, means Midway has all the necessities to enjoy a few hours of screaming at the TV. "East Atlanta Village isn’t exactly synonymous with sports. But drinking? Yes indeed. So when we want to participate in two of our favorite activities, we head to Midway Pub at the end of the EAV strip to grab a pitcher from their lengthy on-draft list and watch sports on the many TVs and projector screens that line the walls above the wooden bar. The standout here is the massive, partially covered patio, dotted with string lights that set the mood at night–and we’re suckers for some well-placed string lights. Midway’s food is typical bar fare, but they do offer Walking Tacos, in which beef or impossible chili is scooped into a bag of corn chips and topped with the usual fixings." - juli horsford
"Boasting the Village’s biggest and most happening patio, an interesting beer list that goes on for days, legit-good and freshly made bar food, and a diverse crowd of cool kids, tattooed parents, trivia junkies, bocce players, and English Premier League aficionados, the Midway quickly established itself as a Village mainstay when it opened in 2008. The drink list comes in a thick booklet called “the Pharmacy,” the chicken fingers are Guinness-battered and delicious, and the TVs inside allow you to catch the game but certainly aren’t the point—that would be the crowd, the company, the community." - Treebird Branding
"A favorite among both beer geeks and soccer nerds, this East Atlanta Village bar is just the spot to combine the two and enjoy great bar fare. The menu here offers everything from burgers and wings, to comforting Brunswick stew and homey green chicken chili. Be sure to order Midway’s super crispy and classic tater tots paired with the Alabama white sauce or the bar’s red hot sauce. Order online for takeout. Patio seating available." - Eater Staff
