Loved it here, good menu and service. Loved the atmosphere and the board and card games that are available. The food came quickly and was fresh and incredible. Possibly the best hot dog I've had. The fries were fresh and crispy and generally perfect. I would go more if they were open weekday evenings.

Google
Pros: delicious food, good service, cool atmosphere, lots of seating, outdoor seating Cons: small menu Even though it's a small menu, everything on it is delicious! My personal favorites are the Cajun and Coonass. Great spot to grab a tasty, filling, fancy sausage! A must visit when you're in Shreveport!

Google
Hot dogs are huge! Bacon ranch hot dog is amazing. Kid friendly. They have board games and cards you can play. Quick service. Staff very nice and knowledgeable. Gives old school game pub vibe. Zero disappointments!

Google
Food was amazing and service was great. Got the classic dog and made it a foot long and added peppers. It was yummy. Also got the Philly fries which had great flavor as well. We'll definitely return.

Google
Great service and the food was amazing! The dogs were premium meat and the foot long was more than enough to fill anyone! It's on my list for best places in Shreveport!

First time here. Very polite staff. Nice interior. Food was so yum. Spangler Swiss and bacon cheddar fries were what I ordered. Only thing I didn't like was the flavor of the coke machine. A litte like mildew. Swapped for sweet tea. Much better. I'd recommend.

Google
Very cool place. Food was great 👍 Definitely not your average hot dog. Very interesting menu. Like the vibe of the place!

Google
Hot dogs were super flavorful and very filling. Etoufee fries were pretty good as well.

Yelp
Delicious food and wonderful service! The bartender was friendly and made amazing drinks! I love the vibe of the restaurant!

Yelp
Great food, small menu which makes perfect sense. The bacon ranch chicken sandwich and bacon cheddar fries were delicious. The staff is very friendly and the place has a great decor. Overall a great experience for lunch today.

Yelp
The decor is spooky but cool. I got scared when I went to the bathroom. Luckily it wasn't nighttime. It was noon. The lights were completely off so I had to use my phone flashlight. And then there was a picture of a skull lol. It's very spacious inside. Parking is like downtown parking, we parked in the street. My husband's parallel parking skills could've been better. He's too used to his back up camera. You wait in line and order. The taste of everything was solid. It's fresh. The Cajun dog is made with alligator and pork meat. Texture was good. It's messy so eat it with the fork and knife they gave you, which is my mistake. Everything just tastes better when you eat a hot dog without utensils. The paddie melt is also good as well. The rosemary garlic fries had good flavor and same with the onion rings. They happened to just bring us out the loaded onion rings so we were pleasantly surprised. Service is friendly. Very nice place. The portions were actually loaded because normally I wouldn't think I'd be full from the food but it was really filling. I give it a four out of five because it didn't blow me away. But very solid. Definitely give it a try!

Yelp
The Dawgs here are bussin bussin . On another note it should be illegal in here for someone to lock eyes and smile at you mid dawg bite . Will be back after I finish swallowing my pride .

Yelp
I can't say anything more than what everyone has said already. It's good food and excellent service. They are very friendly and make sure you're happy with everything. Food comes out quickly and tastes great. Fun atmosphere with an outdoor patio for nice weather days, and bar inside for not so good weather days.

Yelp
I came here with a buddy who had eaten here previously and he raved about it and built it up as a great place. The Missing Link did not disappoint whatsoever! Great atmosphere with a very cool vibe. Great service and great food! The line was long and the service took a minute but our server was diligent and apologetic about our wait. The bacon cheddar dog was delicious as was the Cajun Dog. I ordered two different things knowing that I was boxing up the rest so that I could take some home for my wife to try. I highly recommend this place and I will definitely be back. It gives me a reason to look forward to coming to Shreveport.

Yelp
Excellent food! The service was amazing! And the ambiance was chill and uniquely decorated! Enjoy! I had the Cajun dog with the rosemary garlic fries.

Yelp
The food is amazing. Service was great too. The "Gouda Crunch" burger is one of the best burgers we've had. The "Drunk and Corrupt" dog was exceptional with the sauerkraut and stone ground mustard. The "Coonass" dog was great with the crawfish etouffee. We'll be back for sure!

Gary M.

Yelp
Great food. Order came out quick! We all enjoyed what we ordered. Great atmosphere and cute building!

Yelp
More than just hotdogs! The menu has changed every time I've gone and the owner/chef has impressed me again. Make any hotdog a footlong for $2. There is a cabinet full of board games to enjoy while you're there. The space is huge with a bar and small patio near the front.

Yelp
Finally can rate food. Solid 4. Service food and ambience all great. Had the Cajun and it was delicious. Bread is awesome toppings good and meat cooked perfectly. I ish it was bigger. The rosemary fries were fantastic and don't need ketchup. I was full but kept eating them. The brisket was only thing didn't care for. The sauce wasn't right for me almost tasted like sweet coffee but it was tender.

Yelp
Loved the fact they had games!!! The food was great and the service quick!!! The inside was very nice and clean!!

Yelp
Bottom line-the food was great and the service is outstanding. I've gone a few times. The last trip was just to get Rosemary Fries and a drink. The menu has a variety of dressed dogs and hamburgers. The bar is well stocked.

Yelp
I came on my lunch break , they were super quick and sweet. I enjoyed the food for my first time I definitely shared everywhere !!

Yelp
I'm so very sorry that I didn't take pictures. My husband and I shared a footlong Chicago Dog, a house cheeseburger, and Onion Rings...the Chicago Dog was amazing! The onion rings were not beer battered, but still good, and the burger was okay. Stay with the Dogs. My taste buds want more, but the belly is full. The service...Excellent! This was our first time here, and we are now addicted!

Yelp
Can I give a 6 star review? Super unique decor. Looks like they may have a band play there sometimes, although there wasn't one when I visited. You'll have to pay for parking since it's downtown. But I only paid like 60 cents for 30 minutes. Got the Cajun with extra onions instead of bell peppers. First time ever having loaded onion rings, never seem them before. Everything was fire. Straight fire. Gonna come here every time I stop in Shreveport. Got some family members hooked on it too.

Yelp
The food was amazing! I tried the House burger (double) with American cheese and the Cousin Eddie fries and it was great! My cousin got the Chicago style hot dog and loved it. My sister ordered the chicken bacon ranch sandwich and said it was delicious. We all ordered the beignets and they were amazing. The restaurant inside was clean, including the restrooms and decorated with caricature photos of celebrities. The best part was the service. All of the different owners/operators personally came and talked to us at different times and made sure we were getting anything we needed. 10/10 recommend and the next time I'm in Bossier I'm going back!

Yelp
First off, the name is adorable and catchy! We drove in from Oklahoma, for an extended anniversary weekend. Checked into our B&B, and went searching for a casual comfortable place to have dinner and a beverage. Found this sweet little spot, downtown. Beautiful evening for a stroll to get to it. Very industrial vibe with a bar and high tops at the front for more casual dining. With a little more formal area, towards the back, with booths and low top tables. Accommodations, service, staff, atmosphere, and cleanliness were outstanding. Menu was on chalk boards near the mid to back of the deep dining area. We were able to ask questions about menu options, and order successfully with ease. The guy that took our order was friendly and helpful. Food choices were mostly creative plays on hot dogs, burgers, and fries. Our drinks were served promptly, once we seated ourselves at a high top near the front windows, overlooking a small outside patio seating area. When our food came, it looked and smelled amazing. Our first bites quickly confirmed our other senses. The food was well prepared and very tasty. Definitely not the average hotdog and burger place! Just YUMMY! Only thing I was at all disappointed in was the onion rings were good, but not the tempura batter, as on menu. We would definitely recommend this place, for casual dining. The decor and atmosphere were perfect! Well prepared and quality food, priced very well, perfect portions, and great service. Perfect way to end an evening after a long drive Even the bathrooms were creatively and tastefully decorated.

Yelp
What makes a great dining experience for me you may ask? A few things actually. Ambiance, am I comfortable? Personality, are the people friendly and is the atmosphere kind of cool? Food, is it unique and cleverly executed? If you'll first notice the 5 star rating I chose, then we can begin our journey that I like to refer to as 'The Williams Family meets The Missing Link'. We entered this establishment midafternoon with three exhausted toddlers in tow. The ambiance was low lighting, ample space, and casual. There is interesting decor and even a shelf with games you can pick from. We were promptly greeted by a friendly and patient gentleman at the podium who took our order and helped us make our choices with his suggestions. Then we seated ourselves and a lovely woman offered us a high chair. They were so friendly, and helpful when the youngest of our cubs knocked over a water. They offered to move us to a new table as our food was already coming out. We were checked on multiple times by at least 4 different people. Not in one of those annoying 'how's everything' as you are closing your mouth around the biggest bite of your life ways either. The personalities that we encountered while there were genuine, friendly, and very welcoming. If they were faking their smiles then they deserve an Oscar! I could rave about the staff for hours, but let's move on to what you're all here for, the food! A lot of restaurants have gone to more of a Ben E Keith or Sysco type of menu, but not here at The Missing Link. My husband ordered some sort of a Brat smothered in what appeared to be deliciousness. He was very happy with it. Our kiddos split a footlong hotdog and shared some regular fries with my husband. I may have snuck a bite and they were pretty good! Now to the meal that I know about first hand. I tried a sandwich with peppered fried Turkey, grilled onions, grilled tomatoes, and lettuce. The bread was so soft, the balance of all of the flavors worked so well together. I also ordered the rosemary garlic fries. Holy smokes. I love garlic and everywhere else that I've ordered this uses garlic powder, but not here! There were at least two cloves of fresh grated garlic on top of these fries! They were so good! Now that those boxes are all checked I can safely say we will be back when we come back into town! Thank you for a great dining experience!

Yelp
Notes: 1) good selection, including vegan options 2) self service drinks 3) inside a hotel/ apartment complex thing 4) felt nice and old time-y 5) outside seating 6) does takeout 7) been here once Pros: 1) has a pickup parking spot which is nice for downtown 2) great service 3) pretty good food Cons: 1) kinda pricey for the food Total: 4/5 The missing link is actually what I miss most about Baton Rouge. A nice hotdog place that I can go to and relax at. The service was great and they were nice in helping me pick out what I wanted. The restaurant is pretty popular when I went and had a lot of things to look to getting. Being inside a hotel area, it was a little bit confusing to find and seemed small. However, this place has a really big interior and had decently fast wait time for the food. I ordered and was in and out in about 10-15 minutes. It was crazy. My biggest complaint is that they ran out of some of the interesting options pretty quickly so I had to pick something else. It wasn't a bad thing but it was a bit sad to see that I couldn't try out something new. I went for the classic and it wasn't the worst things. However, my friend got the cousin Eddie and that looked amazing. The hot dog was covered well and it looked good. The rosemary and garlic fries were pretty good. However, we got so much that it was hard to eat after some time. My whole body smelled of garlic after I was done. The onion rings were pretty good. However, I think it needed a sauce to go with it. The onion rings tasted good on their own but needed some help to wash down after a bit. I wanted to try the alligator dog and also the Mac and cheese but it wasn't available at the time. I have to go back. Overall, I would try this place out. It may be a little pricey but it is worth it for those doggo lovers.

Yelp
If you want the best hot dog/links in Shreveport, give this place a visit. The menu is AMAZING, the environment is beyond chill, the sodas are AMAZING, and the staff helpful, welcoming and you can tell they have a really close family bond. The Chef Personally came to check and see if I was enjoying my meal, and the host Anna was simply amazing. They have a a nice indoor/outdoor seating setup, and most of all, it's clean!!! Make sure to ask for the daily special!!! P.s. if they have brisket the day you come, I HIGHLY recommend you try it!!! It's literally the best brisket I've EVER had!!

Yelp
Great food! House burger, Bacon cheddar dog, Cajun dog, and let's not forget the cousin Eddie fries! Yum!

Yelp
This place is so cool!!!! The inside i recommended sitting in and they have free board games to play with friends if you'd like! Their food is always soooo good! I personally like the Philly cheesesteak or the chili fries! They also offer unique soda flavors! I haven't tried their dogs tho since I personally don't like hotdogs/bratwurst. It's located in the heart of downtown Shreveport so parking may be tricky to find. It's a family owned business and the family is always so nice and warm and welcoming! I hope this place stays open forever!
google avatar

Yelp
This place is a win! The Chicago Dog and the Onion Rings were my choice today, and I have no regrets. They're were perfection!

Yelp
I'm honestly conflicted about this place. The location in downtown Shreveport is great. They have strange hours though. Not open Sundays and they close throughout the day. I love the space! Nice and open with lots of seating options both indoor and out. Plenty of street parking. The staff is meh..., with the exception of a younger gentleman (his name escapes me) who is really into music. He is great. The others have been honestly pretty rude. I did meet one of the owners one day who was smoking meats outside and he was great. The others are just a strange staff who don't really care if you are there. Also, specials are random. They once offered bottomless mimosas only because they had an excess of Prosecco. They do not do that anymore and are very happy to tell you that. The food is really good for bar food. They have great dogs and burgers. I got the beyond burger last time and it was top notch. Love the chips on the side. They have lots of events here. Live music, military events, private events. So I believe you are able to book. It's just really my cup of tea. I always feel really unwelcome and a little belittled from the staff when I come here. Bottom line is that it has potential. Could they do better staffing the place? For sure. Could they offer consistent specials and better hours? Yes. But it seems to be working for a certain crowds.

Yelp
Great downtown lunch spot. Good food. Cool building. The fountain drinks are incredible.

Yelp
Definitely worth stopping by for dinner! We were in town for a tournament and they were able to accommodate a big group which is hard to do. They had a great selection of food and everything we ordered was delicious - especially the BBQ Grilled Cheese, sweet potato fries & beignets! The family that owns / runs this place were incredibly sweet and attentive too. This honestly was the highlight of the trip!

Yelp
This place was recommended to us by someone who said it was a hole in the wall but good food. I disagree. It is not a whole in the wall. It is an awesome old building that has an eccentric vibe to it. A leather couch with two seat table chairs in the bar area, a picture of Abe Lincoln on the back wall and skeletons around the venue. I started in the bar with a craft brew. Went with a dark beer and mixed it with a touch of the summer mango. Good flavor. Had the bratwurst that had sauerkraut grilled onions and brown mustard. My friend had the standard dog and absolutely loved the bun. It is slightly toasted and very soft. Had a somewhat of a sweet flavor to us. Ordered the onion rings. They are thick battered rings. They were cooked to perfection, very crunchy outside with a well done onion in the inside. Really enjoyed the food. When we arrived early We seemed to be the only ones in the restaurant. But as we were there on a Friday evening, the guys were setting up for a band later that night. The staff seems friendly. This place seems a perfect venue for lunch. Perhaps in the evening a nice brew and band makes for a nice weekend treat. Doesn't really seem like the place for early dinner as we had.

Yelp
Great dawgs, great sides and you can get a drink if ya want. Downtown across from the TX street Caddo court house.
google avatar

Erin F.

Yelp
Very cool ambiance. Have only had the beignets here. They're a little different than traditional beignets but oh so good!

Kristian C.

Yelp
The food and ambiance was amazing! There is a lot of variety and customizations you can make and the quality is top notch! Love the vibe of the restaurant and the service was great! Would definitely recommend.

Yelp
Love this place. Great family vibe. The food was awesome . 5 items and the price was not expensive. We will definitely be back. Highly recommend for the family and it's different. Food was ready fast and they didn't hold back on the toppings and sauce. They also have free board games to play while you wait for your food .

Yes N.

Yelp
One of the best restaurants in Shreveport, if not the best. When you sit down you get your food in a blink of an eye. The presentation of the food and the taste were top notch. I recommend the kynsie fries, bacon cheddar fries, and the brisket. The best part was the service. When I tell you they made sure it was luxurious I mean it. They had Good prices and an amazing atmosphere.

Ccn 9.

Yelp
Burger was decent, It needed more flavor, not sure it just wasn't remarkable. Downside was it was like $16 for a burger and drink no side was offered.

Yelp
Not sure how long this place has been around, and I've only lived in east Texas a few years, but wish I would have found this place sooner. Tried their take on the Philly, and it was seasoned so well and meat and veggies were cooked to perfection. The only thing holding back on this visit was there was not near enough bread to take on the filling. Also shared Kynsie's rings which were phenomenal onion rings dressed in cheese bacon and ranch. The setting is your standard dark pub, but has plenary of seating and was clean. The cashier was great and we got the food very quickly. Definitely recommend!

Jeff W.

Yelp
Good selection of dogs and other meals. The cheddar bacon dog was what I ordered and it came out perfect, every bite was delicious, and the fries were spectacular. Inside the restaurant was very "home like", board games, wooden furniture with polish, and it was enjoyable just sitting waiting 5 minutes for my take out order. The hostess was extremely nice and helped provide recommendations for what me and my girlfriend liked.

Jack P.

Yelp
Some of the best food in Shreveport if you like hot dogs, sandwiches, etc give them a try!!!

Yelp
Had jury duty and had a wonderful chicken sandwich. Love the ambiance of this old building with a large menu. Friendly, helpful staff. Food was perfect!
google avatar

Kristy K.

Yelp
Oh my goodness! Let me start by saying I'm not a hot dog fan, so for this place to win me over is a testament to just how good it is!!!!! I got the cousin Eddie with no onions and extra yellow mustard. It was made exactly how I wanted it. These things are huge! You definitely get your money's worth. The chili was super flavorful, the bread is absolutely delicious and seems to be homemade. The hot dog itself was cooked to perfection. Several people in our office ordered and the other dogs were just as good. Everyone was raving about it. This is a place that will keep you coming back for more. (And as a side note, there was one lady answering the phone to take orders for about 8 of us and they had a skeleton crew cooking due to the pandemic and still got everyone's order correct! That's a huge plus in my book)
google avatar

Yelp
I'm visiting from omaha. It's just not the great burgers that make this place. It's everything else. It's Liz greeting my nine month old Anders when I got here, to the garlic fries, to the perfect fun and unique sodas and fresh squeezed lemonade and iced tea. The owners are the chefs and you can tell. Everyone here cares about what they do and it shows. Easy 10 min walk from the casinos and plenty of parking. A real gem.
google avatar

Yelp
Hi! It was my friend's and I first time at The Missing Link, one of our friends recommended it! The cashier was so sweet. I ended up getting the grilled chicken sandwich and fries. $15 is not bad for all of the food you get.. and such in a timely manner. Quick service, and multiple workers came up to us asking if we needed or wanted anything. Food was phenomenal. After we finished eating, we tried throwing away our trash/ cleaning up, and the lady came up and said she gots it. Definitely such a welcoming restaurant and the most amazing staff. Will be returning!

Yelp
Hubs and I met here for lunch today, it's been a couple of years since we ate here and we had almost forgotten about it. I got a burger with bacon and he ordered the Philly, and we shared an order of bacon cheddar fries. The food was amazing and we absolutely loved it. I would've given a five star review if it wasn't for the girl mopping all around our table right after our food arrived...the smell of cleaner (PineSol) inundated our nostrils and it made our food far less enjoyable. I realize they were closing in 30 more minutes but that's a huge turnoff and made us feel like we were expected to hurry and get out. (Not to mention the very wet, slippery concrete floor...lawsuit waiting to happen!) Spending $50 on lunch is bad enough, at least let us enjoy our food! We'll probably give them another chance, hopefully there'll be no more mopping floors while customers are eating.

Carrol F.

Yelp
Wonderful, eclectic eatery with live entertainment. Friendly attentive service. We had the Classic Hot Dog and Philly Steak. The soft Hawaiian grilled bun was like a cloud of happiness the meat sat upon. The beignets where perfectly cooked, topped with power sugar and a delicious icing that I could have drank! Will definitely come back the next time we come to town.
google avatar

Yelp
The Missing Link has never missed when I've eaten there! The food is always delicious and comes out fast. I would subtract a star or two for my expanding waistband, but that's on me not them. Get it?? I've really enjoyed everything I've ordered. Their burger is one of the, if not the, best burger in town.
google avatar

Nicholas S.

Yelp
Great little spot. They have a great staff, everyone was very welcoming and accommodating. We were immediately welcomed upon waking in. She gave us the run down of everything with great recommendations. We ordered the McKernan, and bacon cheddar dogs, and onion rings. They also have vegan options. All were great choices!!! The soda fountain was really good Stubborn soda. Custom flavors, recommend Black cherry, Agave Vanilla cream soda, or mix black cherry with draft cola (ala cherry coke). The food was outstanding, very delicious. The hotdog buns were very fresh, toppings were great on each entree. While we were enjoying our meal we were offered refills multiple times. This also marks the first time in 9 years I have seen my wife eat a hot dog(and the whole thing). Will defiantly be going back. TLDR: Quality food, and great customer service has won us over, we will be back.

Yelp
FINALLY dropped into the Missing Link and was very pleased. The decor is awesome, think big loft with lots of metal and wood with tall ceilings. The lighting was dim which sets a relaxed mood. They had a separate area to order food and the bar. The food was really good. Burgers, dogs and salad options too. The food was all reasonable prices, sides sold separately. I got the onion rings which came topped with spicy mustard, cheese and onions. The serving size was impressive and they were delicious. We also got the Cobb salad which was pretty standard. The dogs we ordered were the Gordon McKernan and the Drunk and Corrupt. They came served on toasted buns and of the two, I liked the Gordon best, the jalapeños and avo poblano dressing were delicious with just the right amount of spice. The D&C was good too, the sauerkraut was a little sweeter than I prefer. The service was awesome. Smiles all around, they made great reccos and we were checked up on regularly.
google avatar

Robin L.

Yelp
Enjoyed the Drunk And Corrupt hot dog I got with sauerkraut, onions and mustard. My friend got the Cobb Salad. It looked amazing. I called when I was on my way to find that they have a free parking lot next door. You go down the alley behind the restaurant and pull in. I'll return and try a different dog next time, perhaps the Cousin Eddie.

Mike J.

Yelp
While the food is very good, almost sinful in its richness and no doubt calories, it was the uniqueness of the craft sodas that drew me back in last week. imagine my disappointment to see the craft sodas were replaced with the ubiquitous Coke fountain. Oh well, fare the well Missing Link, I can find a Coke fountain anywhere.

Yelp
Found a gourmet hotdog spot on Yelp so we had to try it. We're in town from Dallas on a work trip. The atmosphere is pretty cool, def a hipster retro type of vibe. We went around lunch time and they weren't very busy. The dogs are on Hawaiian bread which is thee best. Didn't take super long for the food to come out and the waitress/ manager were nice and friendly. Oh! They also have speciality sodas which were also good. the best one is the pineapple cream soda.
