Chic diner for classic American comfort food with a global spin, plus cocktails, in a hip space.
"With in-your-face floral wallpaper, an oversized bird head mirror sculpture, and a collection of vintage plates used for all your brunch dishes, The Mockingbird has personality for days. That same energy spills over onto the brunch menu, where you can get a cocktail in a plastic pouch, a pork belly fried rice bowl topped with a fried egg and sambal, and bagel balls stuffed with gooey scallion cream cheese. It’s a brunch that doesn’t take itself too seriously—it’s the kind of place where you can let loose without worrying if you’re pronouncing “asafoetida” correctly." - jackie gutierrez jones 2

"Brian Riggenbach and partner Mikey Corona moved to Nashville in 2016 to open the Mockingbird with long-time friend Maneet Chauhan — and the Gulch restaurant has been a brunch staple ever since. The whimsical decor matches the fun energy from the menu — exhibit a: plastic bags filled with sparkling wine and a straw; exhibit b: cream cheese-stuffed bagel balls coated in everything spice. (Honorable mention goes to the vanilla brioche French toast.) If the donuts are on the menu, be sure to place an order." - Kellie Walton, Jackie Gutierrez-Jones
"Chaatable’s statement says multiple former employees are already working at the Mockingbird, a Chauhan and Morph Hospitality restaurant that opened in 2017." - Clair Lorell
"Open for curbside takeout (by preorder), Sundays only. Pick up is between noon and 4 p.m. Place orders by emailing events@mockingbirdnashville.com." - Delia Jo Ramsey
