The 15 Best Restaurants In Newport, Rhode Island 2024

"Sure, you might find sweaty tourists on Thames Street, but The Mooring’s cool, open-air patio is the place to escape all that. There are fans humming quietly above you, the energy is lively and upbeat but not rowdy, and all you can see is water and the boats in the harbor with Conanicut Island in the distance. Order the local classic Bag of Donuts lobster-shrimp fritters to start. The scallops, fish and chips, and statler chicken with chimichurri are excellent, and they also do a very well-executed, warm-buttered lobster roll. Plus, your smoky mezcal cocktail will seem as though it was specifically crafted to balance the briny sweetness of local oysters." - danielle rose

"Head to this big, bustling Newport Wharf restaurant for lunch before visiting the museum and library just a few blocks away. It’s a no-frills and family-friendly affair during the day (lots of kids coloring on placemats), but the casual food is super tasty. In fact, it’s perfect waterside lunch fare, from the fresh and meaty Mexican white shrimp to the delicious Cajun Redfish Wrap. The real standout, though, is their Native Scallop Chowder, brightened up with bits of dill. Be sure to snag a table out on the patio overlooking Narragansett Bay."

We had reservations for dinner for 8pm but my husband called to see if they can get us in earlier. They accommodated us at 6:15pm even though they were completely booked. We were seated on the covered deck, however the view of the Marina was covered with thick, clear plastic which they could not open up. This not only obstructed our beautiful view but also prevented the circulation of air. It did get a little stuffy. Some other guests were not thrilled about this and decided to sit indoors. Other than that, our experience at this place was excellent. The drinks were refreshing and the food was delicious. Our server Jennifer was friendly & attentive. We were treated with a free dessert and a card signed by the employees for our anniversary.

Google
Gorgeous place to eat and the service is superb but the food was quite mediocre. The shrimp and lobster fritters were good and well made but the fish & chips weren’t battered well or tasty, it was quite plain and the crudo though gorgeous basically was just scallops not other flavors or citrus. The chowder was also just okay. Cool place to grab a glass of wine & local oysters but would likely not come back.

Absolutely amazing dining experience! We walked in around 7 PM on a busy Saturday with no reservation and were told they were fully booked. Totally understandable—but then the maitre d’ noticed we had kids and kindly asked us to hang tight. Within 5 minutes, he found us a beautiful table with an oceanfront view. The food was incredible, and our waitress Mary was attentive, friendly, and made the evening even better. We even got to see a beautiful sunset from our table! One of the best dining experiences we’ve ever had. We’ll be coming back to The Mooring every time we’re in Newport!

Google
Service: We waited ~40 minutes without anyone acknowledging us. Despite being seated right by the door to the outdoor patio, we tried multiple times to flag waitstaff who either avoided eye contact or ignored us completely. Other groups that sat after us were already ordering and receiving their food. We were honestly going to leave right when the waitress came to our table. Food: The dishes we ordered were pretty good, but it's hard to say if that was partly due to how hungry we were after such a long wait. That said, the food was also on the pricey side. It's unfortunate that the overall experience was overshadowed by the poor service.

This restaurant was amazing. The view is beautiful. Great place to watch the sunset!! The staff were all very nice, especially Madison. She was sweet, helpful and very attentive. The lobster roll was the best we’ve ever had in Newport. The chicken was delicious. The drinks were great. Do not skip this restaurant.

I had a fantastic dining experience! The food was absolutely delicious—every bite was a delight. The waiters were truly amazing, attentive, friendly, and made sure all our needs were met. The management team does a wonderful job of overseeing everything; they regularly check in on guests to ensure you're having a great time. Overall, a wonderful place to dine with excellent service and incredible food. Highly recommended!

Google
By far the best baked stuffed lobster I've ever had my entire life - and I grew up on lobster. The stuffing was seasoned & cooked to perfection with tasty shrimp and scallops. The lobster was fresh and delicious. Service couldn't have been better. If you are looking for the best lobster in Newport (perhaps in the world) this is the place. And no, I don't know the owners or any employees.

Google
We had an excellent lunch here! All the food that we ordered was fresh and delicious! Seafood pasta exceeded the expectations. It was a very busy place even in Friday afternoon outside of typical hours (we were here between 2:30-3:30). Although we were able to get an outdoor seating, i’d recommend to make a reservation.

Yelp
An excellent choice for our last evening in Newport. A beautiful harborfront view, great ambiance, great service. So first, a shout out to our excellent server Mike - For the great service, great suggestions, and friendly, professional demeanor. Now to the food. The bouillabaisse entree was simply a Best Ever choice. Super fresh ingredients, shrimp, haddock, mussels, and lobster in a super testy tomatoey broth, with slices of toasted sourdough bread on the side. A phenomenal entree. Our salad to split was delicious, and my other half enjoyed a chicken entree. A perfect choice for an evening of fine dining, great Atmosphere, great service and of course great food!!

Yelp
Booked a reservation here for a family vacation around 6PM. Reservation is absolutely required here as they're always fully booked and they will turn down walk-ins. You can request to sit in the outdoor patio, but it's not guaranteed, even if you request it on the reservation, they'll just ignore it. We got lucky and got what we wanted, which was to sit on the outside patio on the docks. We started off with a dozen oysters. Oysters are $3.50 a piece, which its obviously very pricy. I would pass on this, unless you really insist on getting them. The variety that they carried at the time were great. For appetizers, we ordered the Lobster-Shrimp Fritters ($18), which we were told by the waitress that these were popular among patrons. Man they were delicious. They're deep fried, but still fluffy and delicious. Getting some of that maple chipotle aioli sauce is a must. We also ordered a plate of Mussells ($19), which turned out was not necessary because it was included in our entree. For our entree, we split the Bouillabaisse for Two ($75). This giant plate came with 1 1/4 pound lobster, local white fish, mussels, potatoes, fennel, white-wine shellfish broth, and grilled baguette on top, all soaked in saffron aioli sauce. This plate was devoured and personally is the way to go to try just about everything while feeding everyone (probably could serve three people). Overall it was a fantastic time and I worth booking that reservation. Parking is a hassle as the parking lot is privately owned by a parking company, not the restaurant itself. So we did street parking that allowed 3 hours somewhere and walked to the restaurant. Service is fantastic and professional. They even gave us a birthday card which every staff member's signature on it to celebrate for the occasion.

Yelp
We had such a wonderful experience. We started at the bar and had great drinks, the Hotbanero was different, spicy and full of citrus and punch. Only thing I wished for would have been a flute when I ordered prosecco, instead of a traditional wine glass. The food, starting with the Lobster and Shrimp Frittas, were delicious. Bready and meaty at the same time with a lovely aioli. We ordered the Scallop and Shrimp Pasta and the Sablefish Dish with Risotto. The scallops were cooked to perfection. The Risotto was creamy and rich. The fish was fresh and tasty. I don't think we could have had a better meal. We ended with the strawberry-ish creme brule which was unique and smooth. The service was wonderful, from the bartender to our waiter. Everyone was professional, courteous and friendly. The restaurant team itself seems to work as a whole group, which made it function so fluidly. Highly highly recommend.

Yelp
We ordered Bowl of clam chowder. This is good. 8 piece of oyster, for $3.50 each. There are 4 types of oysters. I just order 2 each. Oysters are really small. It is not worth it. Bouillabasse for 2. The portion is huge. I didnt really like the sauce. Fish is a bit dry, We ordered 2 kids menu. My daughter barely touch the smash potato. The host is friendly, but the waitress isn't too friendly. She seems a bit unfriendly. Since we sit inside, dont really see a big deal about the atmosphere. It is in downtown Newport, so it is quite busy. But I think there are bigger crowd in Black Pearl or the Clark Cook house.

Yelp
A must when in Newport! Beautiful, seafood restaurant by the water. If you plan on coming here make a reservation ahead of time because it can get busy! Plenty of parking located at and around the restaurant. Some of the areas outside the restaurant do come with a fee. So many delicious options on the menu- the FRESHEST seafood. 10/10 recommend the oysters. The shrimp and lobster - all so so good. They have a large drink menu with non alcoholic options available if that's more your style! Service was prompt, Professional and courteous. And everything was priced reasonably!! Come enjoy the seafood and views!

Yelp
The Mooring is always a great stop in Newport! It's perfect that it's on the water and has delicious food. I will say it's a little pricey, but that's to be expected based on its location. The drinks were absolutely delicious, and our favorite go-to is the scallop chowder! We've always had great service when we eat here too! Only issue I've had in the past is finding shell in my lobster roll once, but that comes with the territory sometimes.

Yelp
This is a good, classic spot to drop into on a journey through Newport. The ambience on the enclosed patio outside is top notch, and the service will be fantastic! I would say, the food left a little to be desired, and I only say this because I feel like it was simply fine. There was nothing wrong with our food, but there was nothing positively phenomenal either. The lobster and shrimp fritters had an amazing flavor profile and were so heartwarming, with a little spicy sauce. The fish and chips were light and fluffy, with classic old bay seasoned fries. The crab cakes were mediocre, again, they weren't bad, just not our personal favorite. Too mealy for us in our opinion. But overall, a good spot to swing into.

Yelp
This restaurant has the best fresh raw bar! Their shrimp is my favorite, and I can't say enough about their clam chowder. These two items are a must-order if you take my advice! We came here for the second time, and I hope we'll be back again in the future. This restaurant has my heart, the people who work here are professional, and the service is always above and beyond. We came to celebrate my dad's and husband's birthdays, and I have to say, they did an amazing job surprising them. If you have a birthday coming up and you're in Newport Beach, Rhode Island, keep this place in mind. This is where quality speaks for itself, and you'll experience great customer service and an amazing atmosphere. No matter what you choose from the menu, you won't regret it. Best fish restaurant forever.I just wish they were closer to my house!

Yelp
Food is wonderful: civiche, tuna pake, lobster, sole and seafood pasta all very good. Drinks selection good and our rose was excellent. Service was initially accommodating but as we progressed wasn't quite what we expected here: no specials and plates not cleared between courses. Still recommend.

Yelp
The service was great and the food was good. I would not recommend the warm lobster roll but the cold one was outstanding. The location is beautiful on the water with boats.

Yelp
Got a dozen oysters (of different varieties) and they were fresh and good. I had no idea which ones were which though. The clam chowder was most excellent! I greatly enjoyed it. The cod was flaky and well cooked. The clams were plump and juicy. I did not care for the sauce. Also got a dish for 2 which consisted of a whole lobster, potatoes, mussels, shrimp, and charred toast. Everything by itself tasted good, again did not care for the sauce .... It did the seafood a disservice Service was okay, a little hard to find our server at times. We were seated next to the waters which was nice and I'm glad that area was heated.

Yelp
The bouillabaisse for two for lunch. Yes, there were sooo many fishy choices, but our excellent server just gave us the unconscious nod when we mentioned it...and we were sold. Boy was she right It's a splurge, but equally a surge- of lobster, clams, shrimp, haddock(?cod?), potatoes, and other creatures, in a savory brown fish stock, with large toasted crusty bread for soaking, and an aioli sauce dripped over various aspects. Hardly hungry, we nevertheless decimated it.... Nothing but taters left.
google avatar

Charna D.

Yelp
Couldn't wait to have lobster after arriving from Florida . So disappointed. Thought we'd splurge on a good meal . Well , we splurged, but not on a good meal . Service was excellent. Lobster was so chewy and tasteless I spit a few pieces out my jaw got so tired . First restaurant in New Port was hopefully not the best .

Yelp
Beautiful restaurant right on the pier with an unbeatable view! We loved that the outdoor are is screened, so you get the full waterfront experience without the wind. The staff were warm and welcoming, and the food was really amazing. The oysters were fresh and perfect, and the sweet onion dip was absolutely delicious. The lobster roll was good too, though I think the bread could've used a bit more butter. Still, everything was flavorful and well-prepared. Definitely recommend making a reservation, it was packed when we arrived!

Yelp
Great dessert, great fritters, great service. Will definitely be back. Sit outside on the harbor if you can

Yelp
We had such a nice Christmas Eve dinner ! Sharon was our awesome server and despite the craziness of the busy holiday, she held it together with a smile and grace ! But those shrimp and lobster fritters ... worth the trip itself! YUM! With a nice maple aioli. Great drinks .... yummy lobster rolls, what more could you ask for ? We will be back again!

Yelp
Exceptional food, view and service. They easily were able to accommodate our group of 14 for lunch. Onsite parking was validated easily.

Yelp
Superlative award for most photogenic food definitely goes to the Mooring! Visited in a gorgeous 70 degree day and sat in the enclosed area for a beautiful view. We had drinks and ordered: fish and chips, scallops and a kid's meal of pasta. Everything was delicious. Our server Jenn was fabulous! Very welcoming and had great suggestions. Great meal in a great location.
google avatar

Alison L.

Yelp
Attentive staff and ample outdoor seating with an outdoor bar. The coconut mojito was amazing. I had the seafood mofongo in creamy garlic sauce, which was rich and delicious. I only with that there was more of the sauce, it was so good!
google avatar

Yelp
We went to the Mooring and had a fantastic meal! The restaurant was situated on the water and had spectacular view. We managed to go just when the sun set and it was a gorgeous view! The service was incredible and our waiter was extremely kind and attentive. We ordered the calamari, warm buttered lobster roll, and Boillabaisse. All were delicious and one of the best lobster rolls I've had! The boillabaisse was a lot larger than we had thought and could definitely feed more than 2 people!
google avatar

Velina M.

Yelp
Lots of food!! Make sure you go to the Mooring hungry. The place was popping and it seemed like the place to go on Sunday night. We started with the lobster shrimp fritters and they were so so good!! For main we shared the BOUILLABAISSE and it didn't disappoint. It was so much food!! I would actually suggest that this meal is for 3 hungry people. My only comment on the lobster was that it was a little chewy otherwise the rest of the seafood was done beautifully. The service was quick and thoughtful and the ambiance was cozy but fancy.

Yelp
If I had to sum up my experience at The Mooring Seafood Kitchen & Bar in one word, I would use stupendous. I highly recommend making a reservation through OpenTable. One time last month, my family and I came to try to get a table or even to sit at the bar, but there were no seats at all. I learnt my lesson and made a OpenTable reservation for a table for 2 on Saturday, September 28, 2024 at 12:45pm. We showed up around 12:00pm and were seated right away though we were early for our reservation. The restaurant was packed! I started with a seasonal cocktail called the Whatthemelon, which has raspberry vodka, watermelon, citrus. This was wonderful and I really enjoyed the vodka and watermelon. My husband got another seasonal cocktail called The Mooring Painkiller, which has Pusser's Rum, tropical juices, coconut, and nutmeg. He enjoyed it. We started with a cup of the classic Mooring clam chowder and lobster-shrimp fritters with a maple chipotle aioli sauce. This was probably the best clam chowder I've had. It was so creamy. The lobster-shrimp fritters were also very good. You can actually see lobster and shrimp pieces and it wasn't overly fried. Dipping these into the sauce was delicious. For entree, I had the Seafood Pasta, which had scallop and shrimp, calabrian chile-lime butter, spaghetti, scallions, and topped with crumbs. The first bite I had of the spaghetti and scallop was mouthwatering. This was so succulent and luscious. I couldn't finish it all and packed it for later. My husband had the grilled salmon with creamed corn, chia seeds, lardons, overnight tomato, smoked onion jam, and tobiko. He also liked his entree. By the end of the meal, we were stuffed and couldn't fit in dessert. Truly an A+ meal and dining experience. Christine was our server and she was very friendly. When she bought our check over, I scanned the QR code to pay through Toast Pay. It was very easy. I can't wait to come back to The Mooring Seafood Kitchen & Bar.

Yelp
Ever been out in Newport RI when it is 30 but feels like 18 due to the wind chill? The answer of course is to have a bowl of clam chowder and a drink at the Mooring. We spent out time in the bar where the bartenders had joke and were knowledgeable. I can imagine this place would be very busy in the summer so make a reservation.
google avatar

Tiffany H.

Yelp
Beautiful location, right on the water! the sunset must be amazing. We had a later reservation so it was dark outside but the time, it's something to keep in mind. Our server Maddie was exceptional. She described the dishes so well, it was mouthwatering as we listened. Her suggestion were all great. The food is so awesome in Newport. This place is equally great. Muscles were amazing in a light tomato broth. The halibut special was described perfectly by our server. Tuna was seared perfectly, fresh n flavorful sushi quality, even the 3 bean salad accompaniment was refreshing. Parking is not validated. So better to Uber or walk to the location. The scallop was in a curry broth, I never had it like that perfectly seared then put in this curry gravy/ sauce, the combination waited very well. For desert we had the espresso gelato n key lime pie. Definitely a great meal.

Yelp
Food is good, view is amazing and service is fantastic. We got the lobster roll, clam chowder and cocktail shrimp. I highly recommend all of them. It is a little overpriced but I think it's expected because of the location. Service fantastic. They are fast and super friendly. Recommend to make a reservation on open table!

Yelp
8/3/24 Update: We came for dinner. - Cocktails were great! The group ordered southern style cocktails made with Makers Mart. It might've been the Bourbon Bramble. Very refreshing! - Appetizers: We started out with the Crab Toast and Baked Oysters. The Crab Toast was very tasty. Unfortunately, the Oysters were disappointing. - Entrees: I had the Halibut (Not the special) which was disappointing. Two people in my group had Lobster Rolls. They felt the Lobster was dry. Seafood Pasta was ordered. My friend liked it. - Service was pretty good. However, I think they could probably use more help, particularly on the weekend. - Ambiance: Restaurant has indoor and outdoor seating with lovely views of the water. The restaurant has a parking lot, but we didn't want to go through the hassle we did in '22. We parked elsewhere. Please see my original review. In the future, we might just come in for drinks and the beautiful water views. There are a lot of other restaurants in the area. Feel that the Mooring can do a lot better.
google avatar

Rian L.

Yelp
Newport is full of amazing restaurants and the Mooring is up there as one of the best. Beautiful location right in the harbor and quintessential New England vibes. We started with oysters which were fresh and flavorful. For dinner we shared the Bouillabaisse for two and it was outstanding! It was a great value for what you were served. A large pan of fish, lobster, mussels, and shrimp in a fennel tomato broth and served with grilled bread and saffron aioli. This was one of our favorite meals we at this week. My husband, who is just becoming a seafood fan, could not stop raving about it. Please make this one of your stops while in town.

Yelp
I'm shocked this place has such good reviews. My wife and I went for her 30th birthday and it was not good at all. I ordered a dirty martini. Normally I order them "slightly dirty" because I like them on the stronger side, but decided not to this time. My drink tasted like it didn't have any olive juice or vermouth. We then ordered Oysters Rockefeller for an appetizer. Those were definitely the best part of the meal. For our entrees we ordered the seafood pasta and the filet (medium rare) to split. The filet came out medium well/well done and the seafood pasta was very very average. We sent the steak back and just asked to have it taken off of the bill due to everything being so bad/average. Again, I'm truly shocked how this place has such good reviews. The staff was nice, but I would not recommend this place to anyone!

Yelp
On a busy Sunday, we were able to get a brunch reservation and our server (hannah? Anna?) was greatly attentive. She recommended the clam chowder which was unreal. We also had the lobster rolls, one cold one hot. An unexpected pleasure was the fabulous French press coffee. We talked about it all day! It was a lovely meal on the water for two, and the interior felt like you were on a big ship!

Yelp
We decided to explore Newport this past weekend and ended up here for dinner. I cannot say enough good things about this place! From the exceptional service from Brittany C, to the beautiful atmosphere and the AMAZING yes AMAZING food! Ty for an exceptional experience, my husband and I will be back!

Yelp
Good spot on waterfront in Newport Rhode Island. Great views, spacious inside! Service was great with the people being attentive and helpful. Clam chowder was good. Chopped salad was not very flavorful and drenched in dressing. The raw platter was excellent w 3 shrimp 3 clams 3 oysters and 3 lobster claws.
google avatar

Bre B.

Yelp
Can't even begin to say how truly fresh, tender, and flavorful the food is here and how delightful the service is as well. My friend and I shared our meals with each other. She got the beet salad but held the beets and had egg and cranberries and nuts added in then topped it with salmon. The whipped goat cheese was spectacular!! Lush, rich flavor. Honestly I detest salmon but it is so good for you!! So I tried it and it was Heavenly! Perfectly cooked, seasoned and not overly fishy. The codfish sandwich had excellent proportions of fish to lettuce to tomatoes and the spicy sauce was a great pop of deliciousness! The had a great selection of wines, beers and a few cocktails (but none that tempted either of us). She got a Cabernet and I got a Shiraz. Both were excellent. Dining in Newport can be pricey and often the food is meh.....so glad that the prices here weren't bad and you get so much quality and quantity wise here. Highly recommend the Mooring!
google avatar

Bennett C.

Yelp
At The Mooring in Newport, the Classic Mooring Clam Chowder was a standout--rich, hearty, and everything a New England chowder should be. The Native Scallop Chowder, however, didn't quite deliver, its flavors falling a bit flat by comparison. The Sole Milanese was a satisfying choice, crisp and well-executed, but the real prize was the Lobster Roll. Generous chunks of sweet, perfectly cooked lobster, served warm, it had the the right touch of dressing, and a buttery toasted roll--it's easily the best we've had, and we've sampled lobster rolls up and down the East Coast. With its waterfront charm and a menu anchored by undeniable highlights, The Mooring remains a must-visit in Newport.

Yelp
You'll always get a great meal here and the atmosphere is cozy and welcoming! Our waitress was attentive and helpful with making recommendations from the menu.

Yelp
Took a day trip to Rhode Island and had a wonderful lunch at The Mooring! Service wise our waiter was simply amazing! He made such good recommendations and was so attentive to us! He provided efficient and perfect service, so happy with how we were treated during our time there! Food wise everything was great! The white sangria was actually PERFECTION! So much flavor and such a good size! The lobster roll was both beautiful and delicious; just take a look at that photo it's literally picture perfect! Enjoyed everything we ate and would definitely come again! Lastly ambiance, this is definitely a family friendly spot! Very inviting feeling and spacious seating so you don't feel crowded at all! Overall such a nice time!

Yelp
This is probably the most popular restaurant all of in Newport. The Mooring is on the water and has a nice view of the harbor. I have been here many times. The food and service is very good.
google avatar

Yelp
Went to Newport with a few good friends and The Mooring came highly recommended. It was super delicious and we left STUFFED. We got the bouillabaisse which could have easily fed 4 people, the scallop chowder, and each oyster they were offering that day. We were able to sit outside and look out on the water. Really pretty place and great food!
google avatar

Niki N.

Yelp
Stunning restaurant located right on the water! We stopped for lunch while walking around and they were very busy, there was a wait for tables so we sat at the bar and had lunch there. The views at this place are so pretty, a classic Newport place! Drinks were great and our bartender was very nice! We had espresso martinis and our bartender made them perfect! This spot will be on our radar next time we visit!
google avatar

Yelp
We came on a weeknight, and sat at the bar. Matt was our great bartender - warm and engaging personality - he made us feel very welcome. Dinner was very good all around, but the star of the night was my Sole Milanese with wilted watercress and tomatoes, and with fingerling potatoes. The sole was cooked and sauced to perfection - hands down the best dinner I have had in recent memory. The restaurant and bar have very nice water views!

Miranda W.

Yelp
Delicious dinner! Service and ambiance were great! The clam chowder is one of the best we've had. Salmon was cooked perfectly!
google avatar

Kendra W.

Yelp
Went here on St. Patty parade Saturday. While things were more crowded at other places, this place was pretty low key and great for families. We were seated immediately around 4pm. I heard for dinner reservations though next available was 9:15pm. I was told I had to try the bag of donuts now known as the lobster fritters. So yummy. We mainly went for drinks and appetizer. Painkiller drink was prob top 3 painkiller I have had. Espresso martini comes dark or light (with Baileys). I normally like the light better but their dark was better! Large menu options, large tables (saw lots of big groups and families).

Yelp
I got the warm lobster roll and it was excellent!! Great spot on the water. Very nice staff. A must if you're in Newport! I'd definitely come back for this lobster roll!

A meeting in Newport on the evening of our anniversary left us wondering where to go for a quick, weeknight celebration dinner. We hadn't visited The Mooring in almost a year after our last meal was just "meh" and left us disappointed. Wow- we are glad we decided to give them another shot! On a cool, pre-busy-season weeknight, the restaurant was fairly quiet with about a quarter of the tables filled. But, everyone around us seemed to be enjoying their meals and, especially, enjoying the service from a very pregnant Lauren... what a little fireball & fabulous server she is! The best service we've ever experienced at The Mooring for sure. We enjoyed a tasty Black Lager, made just for this restaurant by Harpoon Brewing. A new Roasted Halibut entree was a wonderful spring-y plate with peas, mint & mini potatoes. Lauren asked our honest opinion as the kitchen was looking for feedback. While wonderfully light & seasonal, we found the fish a tad dry & suggested it could use a light sauce. She brought us a vingarette served with swordfish & it added just the right touch. The hit of the evening, though, was the Seafood Pasta. Loaded with fresh shrimp & scallops, you could smell the deliciousness to come as soon as the plate arrived! Perfectly cooked pasta, a delectable garlicy sauce, and a tough of chili heat all came together perfectly. We will dream about this dish! All & all, a wonderful meal. We can't wait to return for more!

Yelp
Food 2/5 Service 1/5 Ambiance 2/5 Overall: 1.5/5 First of all you are probably going to need a reservation; however, don't be too disappointed if your reservation does not give you a nice table by the water. If you are not paying for this meal with a social security check, you will not get a table with a view. Unfortunately the hostesses are super judgmental and they will reserve the good seats for people who visually fit their criteria as worthy. Even if there are a bunch of empty tables available, if you are not white and dressed well (aka good tipper in their eyes) you will be sat in the back away from the view. Unfortunately, this started my dinner with a bitter taste in my mouth. The bitter taste got worse as I ordered the scallop chowder. Talk about disgusting. Pretty sure the seafood was rotten as the chowder tasted sour and left an awful aftertaste. The crab toast helped this restaurant redeem themselves, but the glob of mayo on the bottom made the bread soggy and unappetizing. Come only if you want some mediocre overpriced food and if you would like to take a gamble on where you sit. Otherwise, choose another one of the million restaurants on the water where you will be treated with respect.

Yelp
Great location. Some great seatings are just by the sea. We were seating in a room closed to the main hall. Lots of seatings in the restaurant and it was spacious. Ambiance is modern and comfortable. Our waitstaff was just ok, not too friendly. Food came out great. Fish and chips was delicious. Light Beer battered and the fish was flaky! Cole slaw was just ok. Fries were on point. Would love to come back to try some other dishes. Price is not too outrageous.

Yelp
There is a paid parking lot in front of the restaurant if you don't want to waste your time driving around Newport looking for a spot like my wife and I did. My wife and I shared the lobster & shrimp fritters, baked stuffed lobster, and seafood pasta. Moments after we finished scraping the remaining maple chipotle aioli off the plate of our lobster & shrimp fritters with our tongues, my wife said "now I'm depressed we don't have anymore." I, too, was overcome by grief. The seafood pasta was just okay, the seafood was well done but the pasta lacked seasoning and flavor. The baked stuffed lobster exceeded my expectations. It kinda reminded me of oysters Rockefeller but more luxurious. I imagine the baked lobster sticks it's nose up at the pedestrian oysters Rockefeller walking below its ivory tower. Nothing remarkable about the service. It was acceptable. The vibe was unexpectedly casual. I was wearing hiking clothes and didn't feel out of place.

Yelp
Excellent spot to get a taste of the New England hospitality. We dined here this weekend and loved every bit of our experience, from the beautiful patio views, to the delicious bites (still thinking about the buttermilk biscuit) everything here is just fantastic. We arrived around 12 pm and were seated immediately, the service was great, and everyone was warm, accommodating and attentive. We ordered a few appetizers, like their oysters, shrimp cocktail, and the biscuit and each ordered our mains -- I got the chicken shawarma pita... delish! The clam chowder was also great and the burger... well you can't go wrong with a burger. Oh! And their lobster roll which was just chefs kiss. Warm, buttery, fresh bun, so good! The ambiance is lovely -- think sail boats all around parked at the dock while enjoying drinks and chatter all around. Highly recommend if you check out New Port soon!

Yelp
Ate at this restaurant several times this time I chose the chopped salad with grilled chicken absolutely delicious. The salad had potatoes in it which makes it taste like potato salad with lettuce but nonetheless very good salad. The service was nice and the atmosphere was busy but pleasant would absolutely recommend this restaurant. It's a bit pricey but you are in Newport so be ready to spend a nice coin for good food

Yelp
Fantastic dinner and great service! Crab cakes and kale salad were a must have! Cocktails are always great and the views spectacular! Make a reservation or plan to wait!
