The Naked Empanada

Google
We had The Naked Empanada at our wedding and it was a huge hit. The food is fast and delicious. My husband said they were the best empanadas he has ever had. HIGHLY recommend reaching out to Roy for your catering needs! What a nice guy too!

Google
Had these empanadas a few times and they do not disappoint. They are near work occasionally with their food truck and I seldom miss a chance to grab one of their tasty empanadas. Their empanadas truly do not need sauce! Bought a few more to store up in my fridge for dinner and lunch later. Their dessert empanada is great too! What a great team!

William N.

Google
Naked Empanada was here at SECU on Wake Forest Rd today. I decided to check them out and am glad that I did! They did not disappoint! I had the Triple P combo that was two empanadas and chips with salsa! NONE of it disappointed! The only problem is now I have a case of the “itis” with 2more hrs of work to go!😩

Google
The Naked Empanada food truck serves up some of the most incredible empanadas we’ve ever had! We tried a couple of the beef options, which were fantastic—but the Bourbon Chicken? Easily one of the best empanadas on the planet. Absolutely packed with flavor! Service was quick, and the staff were super friendly and welcoming. Honestly, we’d make a trip to Durham just to enjoy these again. Huge kudos to the chef—your creations were a hit, and we loved every bite!

Google
Stopped by the truck at Oak City in Knightdale and my husband and I were both blown away by how good everything was (fuzzy, TLC, shroom, triple P, and honey bourbon) but especially the TLC. So delicious and friendly service. Flavor architect is right! Will be keeping an eye on your location ....

Crystal M.

Google
So delicious!!! Triple P has been my favorite for years but tonight I tried the buffalo chicken and WOW!!! Amazing!!! And the queso is a must!!!

Christi W.

Google
MmmMmm! Saw The Naked Empanada was in the area and I have a weakness for empanadas so I made a beeline to try them out! Worth it! 🥟

Google
Best empanadas in North Carolina. We had Naked food truck serve at our wedding and I can not recommend them enough! The food was fast, incredible, and fun. My wedding was in November and we still have people talking about not only how good it was but how fun it was to have food trucks at our wedding (we had two). Would absolutely use them again for a large event. It really is true, I am a sauce girl and you HONESLTY do not need anything on these empanadas. They are extrememly stuffed and so so so flavorful. The owner Roy is also the nicest guy. He even sent us a Christmas Card after our wedding!

Yelp
Grabbed an empanada from here recently and thought it was pretty tasty. I got the "Fuzzy" which contained ground beef, onions, and a few other fillings. They had to fry it for me after I ordered, so it was a ~5 minute wait, which wasn't bad. Overall, I liked the flavor! It was reasonably priced too, but I probably should have ordered a second empanada or a side, as I was still pretty hungry after eating only one. Overall, not a bad experience, and I'd eat here again.
google avatar

Mike B.

Yelp
Delicious empanadas at this food truck. Tried the fuzzy (beef), bourbon chicken, TLC (chicken) and the sweet (strawberries and Nutella). Good stuff! The flaky dough is stuffed with a generous portion of the fillings... No skimpy servings here. Fillings are flavorfully spiced and served piping hot. Each one is deep fried to a crisp golden brown. Nice and crunchy, not greasy. It's not inexpensive, but a great meal. Definitely worth a try.

Yelp
Food Truck Tuesday! I tried the Fuzzy, the Shroom, and chips and salsa. I was pleasantly surprised by how tasty these empanadas were. They only have empanadas and chips on the menu, no other food. But they have a variety of empanada options to pick from, including vegetarian options. They were nice & hot as well which makes sense since the wait time was pretty long to get the food after ordering.

Yelp
If you're out and about and you see Fuzzy's Empanadas, go ahead and get that fuzzy warm feeling, because you're going to like this! We got lucky on this Sunday to find the truck at Greenway. Husband & I shared the Fuzzy (beef), and the TLC (chicken), along with chips, queso & salsa. All excellent! This small feast was about $15 and worth every penny for the quality and expertise. Favorite for both of us was the TLC which is a chicken one that is so full of flavor...citrus, tequila...I'm talking TASTY. Queso and Salsa were both excellent as well. Extra credit for the 99 sanitation rating and for bringing our order into Greenway when it was ready, so we didn't have to wait for it in the rain.
google avatar

Carrington T.

Yelp
The TLC is a must try! The citrus and tequila marinated chicken is just so so good. My husband and I shared a shrooms, triple P, and TLC empanada on our first time visiting this truck. Each one was super flavorful and crispy. I would happily get each one again, the TLC was just my top pick. The person taking our order during a busy line (WF tree lighting) was very friendly as well. I'm looking forward to visiting this food truck again!

Yelp
This is one of my favorite food trucks!! The owners Roy and Kym are great! They always hit up the bottle shops I like. I haven't gone wrong with any of the items I have ordered. The Triple P is my favorite, followed by the Bacon & Cheddar, and TLC. Great people, Great food, Great price!!
google avatar

Kaitlyn M.

Yelp
Well, this empanada is DELICIOUS. The triple P is filled with everything delicious: chorizo, ham, and sausage, as well as two cheeses, tomatoes, peppers, onions, and cilantro! The service was fast and friendly, and the location was right outside my office, so no complaints there. :) The price point is kind of high at $5 an empanada, but buying three brings them down to $4.33 a piece. Pretty standard for food truck pricing I suppose. For the flavor bomb and fried crispiness they provide, I'd pay it again. Can't wait to try the dessert empanada next time, and chips and queso! (They were out today)

Yelp
Food Truck Tuesday: Fuzzy's Empanadas Update Fuzzy's is my favorite food truck for empanadas!! My favorite empanada on the menu is the TLC, I always order that with chips and a side of queso and salsa. The customer service at this food truck is phenomenal, the owners are upbeat and the food is consistently amazing. Fuzzy's is worth the wait and I highly recommend them!
google avatar

Ashley F.

Yelp
I believe I've had this truck twice with the most recent time being a few days ago. I've tried the chicken one and the bacon one and they were both pretty good. The chicken one is definitely my favorite. It's so flavorful and I love the crispy crust on all the empanadas. I love how they have at least five different flavors you can choose from. From beef, chicken, and bacon to even a vegetarian one. They all sound like good combination and I hope to try more in the future. The food comes out really fast when you order and it's always hot and fresh. I definitely want to see what else this truck has to offer!
google avatar

Ivy E.

Yelp
They had their food truck set up at Duke Women's cancer center parking lot last week and now I'm addicted. Everyone in the building was eating them and it smelled so good. Some people were even making moaning sounds eating it and I told them I wanted to make those noises too! I got the fuzzy, tequila lime chicken, and the vegetarian with spinach, and the strawberry with Nutella. My loved them all! I wish they were back to my work place so I can have it everyday. Next time I'm gonna get two of the same and try their nacho cheese and chips. Please come back!
google avatar

Chelsea F.

Yelp
This truck has been to my office three times and I have to get it every time! It is SO good. I usually get the TLC (chicken) and the cheese ones. Both are delicious. Today I got the chips and queso, the queso was piping hot, had a great texture and was delicious. This is definitely my favorite food truck I have tried in Raleigh so far.

Mercedes V.

Yelp
I had 2 empanadas from the Naked Empanada. The Fuzzy, it was good but would not order again unless I had access to some hot sauce. The TLC tequila lime chicken was delicious! The food truck was located at Canes Frst downtown Raleigh.
google avatar

Charli H.

Yelp
WTF?? I did not know that empanadas good be so darn yummy! Dont get me wrong... I have had empanadas before and found them to be okay. Then I had "Fuzzy's". (...pause for the memory...). They are perfectly crispy on the outside and cooked all the way through. And the fillings...oh snap! The fillings are flavorful and leave you happy and wanting more. We have had them several times and my favorites so far are the Fuzzy or the TLC. I feel like I am getting love from a grandmother everytime I eat here. Well worth tracking them down and trying them!
google avatar

Yelp
I stopped at Fuzzy's Empanadas at the Fall fair outside of Bond Brother's Brewery. I decided to get two of the Triple P's (Chorizo sausage, ground pork, honey ham, onions, fresh cilantro, red and yellow peppers and mozzarella / provolone blend) . The empanadas were really good. Only small complaint is they were a bit pricey ($5) for the size (Pretty small in my opinion). I could have easily eaten 3 of them. I also I wanted to try other kinds but they were sold out on all but two of them. In fairness it was later in the evening and they had probably been there for a while so next time, I will try to catch them earlier in their serving time.

Yelp
I love love love this food truck. It's one of the few I follow religiously on social media. Every empanada I've had from them is fresh and delicious. They've been know to do the brewery circuit and will even bring your order inside while you're enjoying your beer. We hired them last year to cater our rehearsal dinner and got rave reviews from all of our guests. I will recommend them to anyone who asks. Delicious!

Yelp
Today, I was pleasantly surprised to discover Fuzzy's Empanadas in the parking lot for a lunch far better than the one planned! I selected the TLC, because who doesn't need some extra TLC? No, really, the TLC is made of chicken breast marinated in tequila, lime and orange juice and white American cheese. I added on chips and some of Fuzzy's homemade queso. As I was standing there chatting with Roy, one of the owners, I shared some good news and bad news I recently received, but mostly was just excited about life. He shared some cool aspects about his and his wife, Kem, have been taking Fuzzy's around the triangle, particularly to local breweries. The pleasant conversation was enough of an extra treat, but Roy treated me to The Fuzzy as a bit of a congrats for my good news too. The Fuzzy is rightfully their namesake! It's full of flavor and made with seasoned ground beef, fresh cilantro, red and yellow bell peppers, onions, diced tomatoes and Spanish Manzanilla olives. I enjoyed them both, for sure, but I definitely would eat multiple Fuzzy orders. Like their menu says, these delicious morsels are sure to leave you wanting more. Check out Roy, Kem, and Fuzzy's Empanadas online: @fuzzysempanadas so you can go get a taste too!

Yelp
The Fuzzy empanada rivals the ones we had in San Juan recently!!! The pastry was flaky and crispy, and the pocket of ground beef mixture was delightful! My husband tried the chicken one and was a fan, but said the ground beef one was still his favorite. We can't wait to try the others on the menu! Homemade tortilla chips were good, but I would rather have spent my calories on a third empanada! I love that the food truck came to downtown Cary for us to enjoy a libation at Side Bar (or Bond Brothers). #sofreakingood! #nomnomnom
google avatar

Jason T.

Yelp
Fuzzy threw in an extra tequila lime empanada just to make sure my wife was happy. Such good customer service! (And the empanadas were excellent as well!) Thanks, fuzzy! (I actually don't know if his name was fuzzy; I will have to learn your name next time. )
google avatar

Carmesha W.

Yelp
Fuzzy's is great! I visited the food truck at my job and was impressed at how quickly my order was ready (I had my food in hand while I was swiping my card!). I tried the Fuzzy (beef) and the TLC (chicken) empanada...both were delicious! The beef was well seasoned, the chicken was juicy and flavorful, and the breading was nice and soft.
google avatar

Niara B.

Yelp
TLC fuzzy is AMAZING. Soooo much flavor it's unbelievable. I drove 20 mins from my job just to snag two. The empanadas are a bit on the smaller side for the price but they are totally worth every penny! Too bad i don't have that many pennies to be spending :(

Mikey T.

Yelp
Holy smokes!!! The seasoning on the Fuzzy empenada reminded me of abuelas cooking from childhood. SO GOOD!
google avatar

Perry L.

Yelp
Fuzzy's cooks up the best empanadas around. My wife and I try to pay a visit once a month when the truck comes around to one of our local watering holes. The owner is always super friendly and the food never disappoints. Keep up the good work!
google avatar

Kristen A.

Yelp
Such a lovely surprise at my work lunch hour! Fuzzy's was parked outside my office building so I stopped by to see what they had, offered me a sample and I was sold immediately! The owner was very friendly and explained all the items on the menu. Hope they come back and I'll definitely be looking for them at the food truck rodeos! Their sanitation rating was also 100, which is amazing! I had the "fuzzy" empanada that consisted of ground beef, peppers and onions as well as the "shroom" which was mushrooms, peppers and onions. So delicious! Hope they come back!
google avatar

Jeniper L.

Yelp
I was in North Carolina for work recently and needed good food in a hurry. Ran into Fuzzy's truck at a cute brewery. LOVED my chicken empanadas and brought some home to FL for my husband!
google avatar

Slim T.

Yelp
I was skeptical when I approach Fuzzy's Empanadas. I got the Fuzzy and TLC (2 for $9). Both were hot, crispy, and delicious. If they lower the price a bit, I would have gotten more. I can't justify spending $9 for lunch and still be hungry afterwards. I may give them another chance, but I wouldn't rush back.

Amy S.

Yelp
Didn't love the flavor of the spinach & cheese empanada but the TLC empanada was spectacular and both had generous amounts of filling. The chips and salsa were great and tasted homemade and fresh. The texture of the empanadas was also great, a balance of chewy and crunchy. The people were also super friendly and got the food out so quickly! Would definitely return to this food truck!
google avatar

Amy H.

Yelp
Empanadas are the most perfect portable food! I was excited to see Fuzzy's lined up at the Caniac Carnival. I ordered an empanada stuffed with beef, onion, peppers and tomatoes. It was delicious! I will definitely be on the lookout for Fuzzy's.
google avatar

Lexi C.

Yelp
Two words: The Fuzzy. So good and so glad they offer a cheese free option since I cannot have that. Always a friendly smiling face at the truck and always on the lookout for when they are in my town! Highly recommend.
google avatar

Nancy D.

Yelp
This is my first time trying Fuzzy Empanadas since it was on campus for my school. It's delicious! I normally don't eat anything unless it's authentic and made from someone who actually knows how to make their culture's food. But I was craving empanadas and thought I should try it. My boyfriend and I had the TLC, Fuzzy, and the Triple P's, they all sounded good so we weren't sure. I asked them for help on which one to get that are popular or mostly liked. I loved it all, especially the Fuzzy. It is kind of pricey, 4.50 if get more than one I believe, but it's def worth it. I didn't have to wait long for my food and they were nice and professional :)
google avatar

Caitlyn C.

Yelp
We used Fuzzy's Empanadas for a private event and they were great to work with! Very professional and responsive, they had a reasonable minimum for the event and the day of they arrived early and were ready to serve our guests as soon as the event started. Several of our guests raved about their food that night and the next day. I would highly recommend them for your private event.
google avatar

Nolan H.

Yelp
I had the Triple p, and it was amazing! There was the right amount of spiciness, but no too, to sweetness. I've had the others, all of them being just as good, but I recommend the Triple P.
google avatar

Diana P.

Yelp
We used Fuzzy Empanadas for our vendor event! They were beyond professional! The owners Kim and Roy were super nice! Ok so let's talk about their food! I tried the fuzzy! Oh man! Delish! I loved the green olives in it! So good and the chips and queso! Amazing! We will be using them again!!!
google avatar

Sandra Z.

Yelp
Excellent empanadas! Ate The Fuzzy made with nicely seasoned ground beef...so flavorful!! And the chocolate empanada is to die for...gooey chocolate and strawberry inside and lovingly finished with powered sugar. YUM! The folks here are super fun, too!!
google avatar

Tracy D.

Yelp
Best food truck EVER! We tried their food yesterday at Bond Brothers in Cary. We ordered the chicken empanada and the chips and queso. My husband raved over the empanada and the chips and queso really hit the spot.....best queso we've had! And to top things off, service was "off the chain." The owner brought our food to us and came back and checked on us later. Definitely try it, you won't be disappointed.
google avatar

Judykay J.

Yelp
I never thought of myself as an empanada girl but Fuzzy's has made a believer out of me. The Triple P is delicious!
google avatar

Chanel M.

Yelp
I looove empanadas. I eat them every chance I get and these are some of the better ones I've had. I tried the fuzzy (filled with ground meat) and the mushroom (filled with mushroom and cheese). Both were phenomenal. Very well seasoned. The ingredients were high quality. Perfect amount of filling. They were also sealed incredibly well. I ate them both and there was no sauce leaking out (hate that!). They were a little pricey at $5 each, but I would def pay it again. I ate two for lunch and I was satisfied. Great empanadas!
google avatar

Shelby B.

Yelp
My fiance and I had the nutella and banana empanada just as a dessert and boy was it good! We only got one thinking that it would be bigger so at $4 it was a little expensive. Regardless of the price, I will still try them again but next time I want to try a savory empanada.

Rosa C.

Yelp
Had Fuzzy's today for lunch with my co-worker's. I ordered "The Fuzzy" which was overly seasoned & had way too much pepper. "The Shroom" had a horrible after taste. Oh and the salsa, that is NOT fresh salsa, it's salsa from a jar!!! The ONLY good thing were the chips. I'm sorry to say but these are definitely NOT traditional. Needless to say, I will not be a returning customer. I should have gone to Chipotle and would have had better quality food and Fresh! I'm so incredibly disappointed. Oh and all the above was $11.00!!! Total rip off! :(
google avatar

Kimberly D.

Yelp
Tasted the Chicken and Beef Empanadas for the first time at the Food Truck Rodeo this past Sunday 10/9/16 in Raleigh, NC, they were one of the BEST I ever had!!! Flavor bomb in your mouth!!!!!
google avatar

Melissa A.

Yelp
These are seriously tasty! Really seasoned well, no hot sauce needed but not too spicy either.

Valerie P.

Yelp
Best empanadas! Whatever you pick, you cannot go wrong! Put food truck app on phone and follow them wherever they go. The tequila lime chicken is tender and juicy with delicious flavors. The triple P is the perfect amount of spiciness. My son had the Fuzzy and all I heard was "oh man this is good" I didn't even have a chance to taste it! While the insides are so delicious the outside are consistently and amazingly crisp.

Craig M.

Yelp
From the people that work there to the empanadas, both are fantastic! They are the first food truck we look for when we go to the rodeos. My wife and I love them!

Valisha A.

Yelp
This comes to my job a few times so I decided to give it a try. Very delicious. The only reason I didnt do 5 stars is because it is a little pricey. 2 Empanadas is $9. And you will want two. But they are very filling and extremely good. I had the TLC. Pricey but I would probably eat there again.

Kaitlyn C.

Yelp
My company used Fuzzy's food truck for a recent employee event and we were more than impressed. Not only was the food amazing but Kem and her team did a great job. They were very responsive via email prior to our event, checked in with me during set up and I left me feeling comfortable knowing that our event was in good hands on the day. They were fast, friendly and efficient and we had a lot of happy employees because of them. Thanks Kem and team, keep up the great work :)

G C.

Yelp
Can't go wrong. As a PR Latina I love my empanadas, especially when they are GOOD! I was a little skeptical of the good reviews I had read and leery about trying them with a name like Fuzzy Empanadas, but they are fabulous! Love the nice crispy pastry and not doughy inside and the fillings were so tasty, not bland as I find many around this area. I had the TLC and the Triple P. Both were good. I liked the chicken a bit more. If you like things a little spicy, go for the Triple P. Can't wait to try them again. I have already filled up my calendar with their stops near me...I will now an official Fuzzy Empanada groupie for them. LOL!

Krissia S.

Yelp
Empanadas are good, but nothing amazing, which is ok and Is enough if it wasn't for the price and the size!!! the fact that you need to buy salsa on the side is not ok to me
