"The vibes are immaculate at the Nest. Owner Antonio Appling serves an undeniably Black Southern menu with a distinctly Southern California point of view. The biscuits and gravy are incredible, while the breakfast torta with roasted pork is on point." - Mona Holmes, Brian Addison

This is a great breakfast spot. It's now located on Bellflower Blvd in that cute little main street vibe part of town. The atmosphere is so cute. They have rotating installations of artists' work in addition to a very all together adorable vibe. The food left us defeated and wanting more at the same time. The breakfast poutine was amazing and delicious. The portions are deep and generous, don't be fooled by the cuteness, this is definitely a place to eat a full meal. The drinks are a whole other level of goodness as well. I had a horchata iced coffee, and even the presentation was 👌🏽 There is a small menu to explore. Everything is unique and well made. This is a place to put in your breakfast spot list for sure. The only downside, of course, was the street parking situation. But totally worth it!

UPDATE: Thank you so much for the fast and perfect service. Definitely appreciate taking the constructive criticism into consideration. Everything is back to being perfect. Chilaquiles red and green are delicious. Maple bacon waffles are delicious as well. Downside was the service. We got there plenty of tables available and still the hostess said the wait was 20 minutes because they needed to get some orders out first (pickup I guess?) Her attitude didn’t help either. She has no charisma whatsoever. So we we waited and then a big group comes and they get seated before us. So I went to another hostess and i asked her about the wait time and I pointed to the table that was still available and that’s when the first hostess said that it was ok to get that table. We have been here multiple times and we honestly love it but today was a disappointment.

We set up the wait list through Yelp, so by the time we arrived we were pretty much seated, the atmosphere is nice and I always like to support local business, we ordered a breakfast burger, green chilaquiles and a pancake breakfast with eggs, the side waffle with bacon was delicious and the French toast with blueberries as well , plenty of food , I'd recommend anyone that's going on weekends to jump on the wait list online so you don't have to wait much. Great food and service!

We enjoyed our food and the service was friendly but a little slow. Maybe because they were pretty busy. The door was open to the outside so it was cold so we had to keep our coats on to not be freezing. We got the French Toast, Eggs Benny with a side of maple bacon waffle. Yum!

Google
Tried this place out for brunch before going wine tasting. Around 9.30 am, plenty of seating, not too busy yet....Ordered the raspberry French toast and the biscuits n gravy. Both were tasty and fulfilling , but the French toast with raspberries is delicious to die for. Customer service was attentive and good. Definitely a spot to come back to.

This used to be my favorite brunch spot in Long Beach. However, I came here today for the first time after they moved to a different location and was a bit disappointed. It's spacious but the music was too loud and the wait benches were stained. My chilaquiles verde was great but my berry and peach toast was very dry and had no berry or cream. Note that I had these dishes before at the old location and they were delish. Overall, it didn't live up to my previous experiences, and I probably won't return.

I came here for brunch with some friends, and we were greeted by a friendly hostess. The seating is comfortable with some interesting artwork on the wall, in a brightly lit space. I felt the pricing was a bit high for most of the items, so I had high expectations. Unfortunately, I left disappointed. The chilaquiles ($20) was salty and one note in flavor. The onions and egg helped provide some nuances, but without it, the dish felt mostly heavy and plain to eat. The coffee flight I think was $13, but had barely any coffee taste. The flight had mint mojito, raspberry mojito, and black berry mocha coffee. Maybe the ratio for the flight is different than when they serve it in the regular cups, but these were definitely more milk, syrup, and ice than coffee. It was not very pleasant to drink any of them because it was so sweet and mostly tasted like watered down milk with a hint of coffee. It's a cool spot to hang out, but too pricey for me.

Google
(Long review)I really wanted to like this place. The three stars is for the prompt and friendly service by our waitress. Total time from waiting until we finished eating was two hours, the first hour was just the wait time from when we joined the wait-list on Yelp. I believe that the wait time of a restaurant always sets the tone for the experience. I'm ok with waiting an hour, however, the hostess (can be given more things to do instead of just looking lost) has the job of letting the customers know what the wait times are or it will be longer than expected. Yes, the app can tell us this but it eases the mind knowing a human knows you're waiting. I noticed that there is no sense of urgency by the employees that are supposed to clean and get tables ready for the next customer. It took them about 15 to clean and set up some tables of a large party that left. At one point the restaurant looked half empty while we still waited. I think that the speed of your employees needs to vastly improve. The music was too loud although the type of music was good. When we finally sat down, our tables still had water spills on them so I asked one of the guys(waiter/bus buy, not sure) to please wipe the table down. So he goes and comes back with a second person who says it's just water marks on the table so he doesn't wipe it down, I can clearly see there's water so i ask him to hand me the towel to do it myself! Luckily, the guy I asked first had some sense and quickly took the towel and wiped the table. Anyway, I could go on but on to the food. The french toast was probably the best part of my meal, I asked for the toppings on the side. As my dish, I had the chilaquiles verdes with pork. The green sauce was too sour in my opinion and the pork pieces were too big and fatty. The coffee was a bit too bitter for my taste. When we were ready to pay, we were double charged for two of the meals, the waitress was nice and corrected her error. Overall, I am not sure I would return to this place and I wouldn't have anyone I know visit this restaurant either unless they have like 3 hours to spare. Something to note is that they do have signs on all of the tables stating they're going through a soft opening which sounds like an excuse for their longer than expected wait times to make up for some of the lazy employees they have working there.

Yelp
The food is amazing great environment and the servers are great and sits you down quick .

Yelp
Haven't been here since they moved locations! Food was delicious and all the ingredients are very fresh. There is a parking lot attached to the restaurant but it's $4 minimum for 4 hours and limited parking spaces. There is street parking but also limited. We got the chilaquiles and the two egg combo. The crispy fries were very crispy! The salsa in the chilaquiles was also very spicy but sooo good.

Sadie P.

Yelp
They put a honey butter on the biscuit and the potatoes are lightly herbed. I had the spice on the side cuz spicy chicken tends to be too hot for my enjoyment. Everything is house made. Bomb. Service was good. The servers were all friendly. Oh and they are in a good spot now! Right on Bellflower Blvd., next to Fronk's. IDK how the vibe differs from the original location cuz it was always too packed for me to get in, but this spot is legit. Beautiful open windows with great daylight and the whole ambiance is super chill and very inviting for all to enjoy. I'm def going back for more tastings from their menu! Go check it out!

Yelp
Came here with my boyfriend to celebrate his birthday. We were seated right away as we did go around 10am on a Tuesday. We both ordered the chilaquiles verde with pork, which we did enjoy. The only thing I would note is that it does have a kick to it...so if you're not into spicy you might not enjoy them as much. I would've liked the chilaquiles to have had more meat because we only got little bits of pork in it. It felt like I was searching for it most of the time. We also tried the hibiscus and guava mimosa. They were both very flavorful and worth getting again. We did also enjoy the decor and ambiance of the place. It felt very welcoming and artsy. They also have art that you can purchase, which I think is a cool concept. I would definitely try this place again.

Sandy L.

Yelp
Amazing slice of Culture, Cuisine and Kindness! 10/10 Recommend. This establishment was such a fun find. Stepping in to see art in every corner - such a treat! And then to receive warm hospitality and even warmer good eats? You betcha, I'll be back! First off, the public parking and Yelp waitlist feature made planning a visit super smooth. We queued up digitally and were seated minutes after arrival. Hooray! We ordered entrees and were pleasantly surprised they came with unexpectedly amaze-ball sides. Like, each side could have been its own main feature. - We appreciated the slow heat in the Grits and Chilaquiles dishes. - The Biscuits and Gravy hit the spot (not over sauced, heavy or dry). - The French Toast made for an amazing dessert dish. - The drinks (Mint Mojito Latte and Guava Mimosa) were balanced and yummy, too. Can't wait to visit again! Gogogo!

Yelp
Great atmosphere and ambience. We walked in for breakfast/brunch with our parents who were visiting from out of town. We waited like 5-7 minutes and were quickly seated. Our server was great he was attentive and had some good recommendations. I ordered the Breakfast Burger which wasn't on the menu but our server explained it to us. My wife ordered the Potato Tacos (she really enjoyed them so I couldn't get a picture ). Our parents got the Shrimp and Grits & the Spicy Chicken Sandwich. Both loved the flavor of there meals but my mom was warned that the spicy chicken sandwich was REALLY spicy, so she got it with the sauce on the side. Overall, we definitely enjoyed our experience here and would recommend stopping by if you looking for a nice place to eat and chill.

Brenda R.

Yelp
I would recommend going on yelp and putting yourself on the waiting list so you have no wait! It was perfect! No wait The server was very attentive and super kind! We loved her! The vibe is so cool! I loved the art exhibit so much- go see it and have a specialty coffee!! The biscuits- I wanted to love them! They bake them, then fry them- nobody at our table preferred this method. It was not pleasant to us. The eggs, potatoes, French toast, and fruit were fresh and on point! Let's talk about the small plate bacon infused maple waffle GET A WHOLE ONE! It's a culinary delight! We will go back to try more things! It's dope

Justin J.

Yelp
Came here for brunch with a few friends. Ambiance held like you're in an art gallery of sorts, a little different than other restaurants but pleasant. Started out getting the large Mimosa, which is the size of your head, contains a bottle of champagne and a shot of vodka, with your juices of choice (we got Pineapple, Orange and Guava). Definitely started the afternoon off right. For food, we got a little of everything. The breakfast poutine was delicious, but hour do you go wrong with crispy potatoes, gravy, cheddar cheese and a fried egg? The chilaquiles verde was also yummy but not quite to the never I had hoped for. Our server recommended the chilaquiles rojo, so maybe we should have tried that. The short rib hash has a nice combination of flavors with the sweet potatoes, short rib, onions and two eggs. The French toast was very nice and not overly sweet which really made a difference. Overall, a very nice spot in Bellflower. If you're going to do mimosas, I'd say get the large, or XL mimosa over the fights, better bang for the buck!

Yelp
This is the Nest I fell in love with! Since moving from their first location on Alondra to their new one on Bellflower Blvd. this was my first time eating inside. There is street parking for free and also parking in their parking lot for a small fee( I believe like $4 or so) but I was able to find street parking which was a small win! lol Me and my friend came on a Friday at 1145am and thankfully there wasn't much of a wait. My friend got there before me and got us seats. They have a menu with a QR code that had both food and drinks on it. Food: Although I stuck with just water my friend ordered the Horchata iced coffee- $8/$10 and she said she really enjoyed it. I ordered the chilaquiles verde with roasted pork and over medium eggs and a side of bacon waffle ($21.95). They were delicious but spicy!! Much more spicy than I thought they would be lol. The Bacon waffle is the perfect balance of sweet and savory and I'll have to get an even bigger portion of it next time. Our waitress was friendly and checked on us a few times. There weren't to many people that came after us and so it was pretty quiet minus the hip hop music in the background. I'm looking forward to coming back here and trying a new item off the menu and one of the flights!!

Carmen C.

Yelp
They have quick service. The food was delicious. The fact that the GM came and spoke to us about our experience. He gave recommendations and a personal story. Would love to see turkey or chicken sausage. Also, we would like a few vegan options.

Angelica R.

Yelp
RATING BASED ON FOOD ONLY! The restaurant is nice and hip. Clean white walls with pops of (what I think is...) local art. I arrived by myself during brunch time (11:30am). It wasn't busy yet, but it became busy. I was solo, so I sat at the bar, if there's an open seat and you want it, there's no waiting. So, I got seated fast. There seemed to be only 3 people on the floor working during the rush. 1.5 servers (I say .5 because the other person I think was a bus boy), and the person behind the bar, who also helped serve. The hostess at the door, just stayed at the door. I mention these things because of perception. A lot of people were getting restless waiting to ask for the check, and were just coming to the bar directly to close out. The person manning the bar was already doing the job of 4 people. Aright. FOOD. I came to theNEST because of the beautiful photos of the shrimp and grits. I had been craving it for a few weeks, but haven't had the occasion to go. I was underwhelmed by the dish. It didn't really have a lot of dimension. When you ate it, it didn't harmonize well. I felt like it needed some kind of sauce. When chewing it, at times I thought, "I don't really want to swallow this." Sadly, my craving was not satisfied. I would not order this dish again. A small plate comes with your large plate. I chose the French Toast. I loved this dish. It had blueberries and peaches (canned) with mascarpone on top, with a HEAVY drizzle of blueberry (I think) sauce. Ask for the sauce on the side. I love sauce, but it was drowning in it. Would I come here again? Maybe.

helen d.

Yelp
Everything was too notch from beginning to end!! Customer service, food, owner coming to talk to us!! 150% satisfied!! Will be back soon!!

Yelp
We stopped by this weekend with our kids for brunch, the restaurant is nice, clean and modern with artwork displayed tastefully. We were given a wait time estimate of 25-45 minutes but waited a little over an hour (no big deal). The food was good, the chilaquiles full of flavor. Husband loved the beef short rib hash. The coffee options are limited, but surprisingly delicious. Raspberry coffee?? Yum! I think the coffee flight is just right, you get a little of everything. The biscuits and gravy were flavorful by the biscuits themselves were rock hard. There's no salsa available if you like your food spicy. Overall, I think this was a great option and it's a little out of our way but we will most likely come back ( maybe without kids because there's only a couple of high chairs).

Vanessa V.

Yelp
Checked out Nest breakfast spot with the fam. Hubby loved the other location, so he gave it a great recommendation. I had the veggie scramble and coffee; kids devoured chicken and waffles, plus biscuits and gravy (big enough to share). I'm a coffee connoisseur and the coffee didn't really hit for me, but that's just my personal preference. I'd love to see them make a better selection in the coffee because for someone like me who really loves coffee it's that little detail that would make a difference for me. Aside from that the service was great. I got the vibe that they're kinda new, and working out kinks of any newly opened location, but felt that it's got great potential to be a cool spot in Bellflower. Vibe was chill--I'd come back and give it another chance. I really like this downtown area in Bellflower so I'm rooting for them!.

Collee F.

Yelp
The food is always great here! Great service as well! Come on in you will nit be dusappiinted!!!

Katya Z.

Yelp
It's frustrating that Yelp doesn't let me do half scores on here because this really would be a 3.5 instead of a 3 review! Came here around 2PM which is an hour before closing and there were so many people working that you could see but it took a very long time for the server to come back and take our order after putting our drink orders in and then to get the check. We waited over 15 minutes for them to come get the check even though there were 5+ people working with only 2 tables left. I will say our server was very pleasant and kind when we would interact with him! I started off with the coffee flight which was a nice start to the meal. I was most excited for the blackberry mocha but it tasted like artificial sugar and didn't have the flavor profile I was hoping for. My favorite was the mint one which was surprising! I'd definitely get a large mint one in the future. I got the chilaquiles with the pork - the chips weren't too soggy and it had a pleasing verde sauce that was balanced. I didn't like how the avocado on top was smooth - it felt like when you get guacamole from the grocery store and isn't fresh. The shrimp and grits were packed with flavor! The grits were creamy and the shrimp was flavored well. Overall, decent breakfast.

Monica D.

Yelp
I highly recommend the shrimp & grits, avocado toast, waffles, sweet potatoes & beef short ribs hash, and chilaquil

Nadine G.

Yelp
Have probably tried almost the entire menu here and you can't really go wrong. My favorites though are the brioche sandwich, bacon waffle, and steak with chimichurri. Chilaquiles are pretty good. Buttermilk biscuits are okay. Ambiance is great. Love the vibe of the place. They also do a great job with to go orders when it's too busy.

M M.

Yelp
The host was welcoming when we visited. A bit of a slower side of the service, but they were nice. For the food, we ordered Chilaquiles Verde with biscuit and gravy, and Short Rib Hash with French Toast. They were just okay. For the price they charged, I expected it to be better. We ordered the biscuit with gravy because it was made in-house, but it was quite disappointing. It was dense and doughy taste. The food overall was not as tasty as it looks. I was debating whether to give 3 or 4 stars and I'm going for 4 stars for the service and for the food I would say 3 starts.

Dan O.

Yelp
Just went to the Nest for breakfast today for the first time, dining area is roomy and modern. There were at least 9 or 10 employees working and the place was about half full with customers. I ordered two eggs , sausage links and small order of biscuits and gravy and coffee. Waiter brought out sausage patties that were hard as hockey pucks and I only took a couple bites before giving up. So I tried the biscuits and gravy and it tasted very good however there was hardly any gravy on the biscuit. I asked the waitress if I could get a little more gravy, she says no problem, just an extra $1.50 for about two ounces of gravy. The two eggs were fine. Total bill with tip was $28.00 dollars. Also, many, many employees and waitresses we're constantly walking by my table but it took me almost 10 minutes to actually catch their attention when I wanted more gravy and a glass of orange juice. They need to improve on customer service and stop over cooking those sausage patties, and put a little more gravy on the biscuit.

Jessica P.

Yelp
The place is big and clean. I like their simple menu. It is a little pricey but what isn't now a days? My favorite thing was their bacon waffle, the syrup was delicious.

Cindy B.

Yelp
Great ambiance and food. Waiter attentive. My favorite was the potato tacos. The mint mojito coffee was a little on the sweeter side, but depends on the persons taste preference. Owner very very nice. Overall fantastic spot

Shirley K.

Yelp
I came here for brunch with some friends, and we were greeted by a friendly hostess. The seating is comfortable with some interesting artwork on the wall, in a brightly lit space. Al G.

Yelp
I ordered the veggie combo, which comes with a mountain of egg whites, sweet potatoes with Parmesan on top, two veggie sausages, and a small plate. I got the Mini French Toast with blueberry syrup, blueberries, and sliced mangoes. My order came out fast, and my server was polite and attentive. Also, for being a Friday morning, it was pretty empty. If you have a big appetite, you can finish this plate. However, I decided to eat half and take the rest home. I got full with just half of my plate.

Francisco S.

Yelp
I absolutely love this place. Since the first day I walked in to their old location. Their new bellflower location is as amazing as the original. Plate licking good French toast. The servers are always nice. It's even bigger so I'm thinking wait times aren't as long as before.

Paulina C.

Yelp
Amazing food and amazing service! They moved their location to where the Neat TAMBIÉN was located. If you haven't done so, try out their grits! So so yummy.

Kimberly W.

Yelp
Last minute decision for us Both my husband and I enjoyed the atmosphere and the friendly staff The food was tasty and we will definitely be back

Wanda G.

Yelp
I hadn't been to the new location before, but not to my surprise it still has the same delightful atmosphere, smells, and delicious food that is excellent. The service was excellent. Dine in or out great choice.

Daisy S.

Yelp
I fully 100% support this small black opened business! I've been coming to The Nest for 9 years and I've literally brought both my kids here since they were born. The food is amazing, and although I lack photos, I've pretty much tried a great amount of items from the menu. The food is delicious and comforting and exactly what you expect for a "home cooked" breakfast. I tend to always get the chilaquiles and the breakfast poutine. I also always get the blackberry mocha which is so good. The service is always amazing and owner is so kind and is always making sure your experience is amazing. Although, I loved the style and ambience of the original location, I am excited for the new location. I did go recently and I am excited for the alcoholic beverages that are offered. Definitely recommend.

Brenda I.

Yelp
Solid (A) place for breakfast & brunch. Server was friendly and pleasant. Food came out in a reasonable amount of time considering a lot of the bread served seemed to be made in house. We got the breakfast burger and the eggs Benny burger. Both of which came with a generous side of the best crispy potatoes ! The eggs on the burgers were cooked medium runny ... the way it's supposed to be. Bacon jam was interesting and tasty. It was a spread on the breakfast burger that we asked for on the side . I ate it with the top half of my bun . It was delicious. We enjoyed our brunch with a couple of well made cocktails as well ; a hibiscus mule & a Paloma. * 1 star less because of pay& park . ( We came on a Wednesday, and we were lucky to find street parking right up front ! ) Try coming on a weekday if possible as the weekend likely is busier.

Jenna L.

Yelp
BEST restaurant I've been in a while (considering cost, food, and service). Nothing fancy but it's really solid! GET THE CUBAN SANDWICH with French toast as your side! Beat the rest of things we got (short rib hash, chilaquiles, sausage, waffles w/ bacon), by far! - Cuban sandwich was just soooo perfect with the blend of flavors - French toast was smothered with amazing maple syrup + blueberries + cream. Small but potently good! - waffles w/ bacon came in a close 3rd behind these others - short rib hash was a bit dry. the worst dish from what we ordered - chilaquiles had good flavor but nothing special imo - We also got a flight of the coffee special and thought it was a unique idea! But $13 for what you get is a little steep! Service was really sweet! Waitress was no frills, super attentive. Parking is street (no limit) or little lot in the back. Ambiance is mom/pop diner type feel! Can't wait to go back

Robyn B.

Yelp
Our first time here. The service was excellent. The gentleman at the door sat us as soon as we walked in. It was very clean. The food came quick. The veggie meal I had was pretty good, but it could use more seasoning. My husband had the short ribs with sweet potatoes hash and hollandaise sauce and a pancake. He said the pancake was fluffy and good, but the short ribs needed more seasoning as well. I also had a biscuit which had the potential to be good, it was dry. By the time we were ready to leave the place was packed. Maybe we missed what was the good thing in the menu.

BaoBao L.

Yelp
Everything was so delicious. Service was top notch. Food came out at a decent time even though it was their soft opening. Will come back for more!

Renee S.

Yelp
Join the wait list right before you leave the house and it will be your turn before you know it. Love the ambiance, hip hop playing on the speakers and art on the walls. Staff was attentive and had a lot of great recommendations.

April D.

Yelp
Upbeat atmosphere. Friendly service. Bomb breakfast. Clean, tidy with lots of character and attention to details. Nice playlist. Excellent first impression. Will be back.

Isabella M.

Yelp
I love coming here for breakfast! The staff, vibe, and food are all a 10/10. It is a small place so you might have to wait a bit to be seated. I usually get the chilaquiles verdes and they're always perfect. This time I got an iced coffee flight and I love the concept of it. I was able to try all the different flavors and they were all so good, I wasn't disappointed whatsoever, they use coffee from Patria's located in Compton. Definitely recommend giving it a try!

Jessica L.

Yelp
The Nest moved locations so I had to check it out. This place is HUGE! No more long waiting outside, although there is outdoor dining if you prefer. Inside has a lighter ambiance still with great music and artistic hip-hop decor. The food was amazing as usual. Pretty much the same menu as before. Service was on point as always. This time I used my free birthday rewards and got $15.95 off of my meal! Next time I'll use my $10 off coupon in my rewards bucket (the rewards system is the best of any other restaurant... I get $10 off on every few visits!)

Tanya D.

Yelp
The service was amazing!! The avocado toast and mimosa flights are my favorites. My husband loves the coffee flight and the shrimp & grits.

Joy G.

Yelp
Such a perfect place for home cooked breakfast with a LA twist! The entire staff was so friendly!! Server was prompt and professional. Constantly checking on me. I enjoyed seeing new menu items and the art on the walls is a great touch to engage customers.

Mia R.

Yelp
Food- I had the grits, potatoes, chilaquiles and a pancake. Everything was so so good. Service- 10/10 My server was very attentive and made sure I was happy with my food Ambiance- good music :)

Daisy F.

Yelp
I really enjoy the chilequiles here! They have good deals if you use their coupons on their app! I would say parking is terrible! and the wait isn't that long though! Food is worth it, pancakes are a little too dry though! The ambiance is okay! Not my aesthetic but it's pretty cute!

Yelp
The food is down home breakfast in ample portions. I had Eggs combo - over east with sausage & home fries. I substituted a pancake for toast and was glad I did. The pancakes are fluffy and unlike most places where the taste is flat, these were so tasty. Coffee in big mugs, and portions likely to satisfy all the lumberjacks in your party! Eggs poutine style are my next trip since I got a look at them on my way out. DEE-LISH! Use the waitlist on here, it'll save time. Also parking is on site behind the place. They would have received five stars but they don't allow dogs.

Yelp
Food rating: 1/10 Service rating: it was ok Ambiance: only thing good This place used to be good I'm not sure why it sucks so much now. Good if you want to just sit and talk I guess. I ordered the breakfast egg sandwich which was so dry it was hilarious it was bread with cheese grilled to the bun egg and potato. NO sauce or veggies We also got the spicy chicken sandwich which is literally just chicken and bread. No Mayo no cheese no sauce just bread and chicken. Lastly we got the mini french toast. It did not come with any syrup? Like? Really??!? We ordered a large mimosa as we have done before and it wasn't even filled to the top like it used to be. After waiting an hour to be seated and another 30 for our order to come out this place was just not worth the time or money.

Yelp
My #ThankYouThursday goes to my all time favorite brunch spot in Bellflower, CA! I've been going to the Nest for quite some time and I can say that the quality of the food and the vibe continues to impress me. I honestly feel at home whenever I come to get my favorite breakfast order- shrimp & grits and a side of home fries. I also introduced a friend here this year for her birthday and she said the grits remind her of her mom. The Nest is so special and has such a homey atmosphere. Service is always so friendly and music is always on point. The parking and the wait may be intimidating on busy weekends but it is well worth your time!

Yelp
Came in on a Tuesday for breakfast. Upon entry, customer service was on point. The hostess and Waitress were welcoming and providee recommendations on food options. I had the red chillaquilles and the horchata iced coffee. The portions were great and even came with a side of French toast which was also delicious! The iced coffee was also amazing! I will definitely be coming back again.

Yelp
After our brother in law pick us up from Carnvial Terminal in Long Beach. My wife and I were very hungry from our 14 days Alaskan cruise. I told my wife and brother in law let's go to The Nest: A Breakfast Joint in the city of Bellflower. We agree and headed to the restaurant when we got there parking was so tight finally we found parking we walk to the restaurant. The restaurant was pack then my put her name on the waiting list after couple of minutes they call us. We got seated right away and waiter came pass out the menu to us we were looking at the menu and decided to order first we order our drinks and then our meals my brother in law order the Veggie Scramble and my wife order the fried biscuits and gravy and I decided to get the breakfast Pourtine the Canadian version of the classic Pourtine. The establishment is very nice the staff are very friendly and knowledgeable about the menu. They brought our meal it so good. I try my Breakfast Pourtine it was really good it was heartily meal so much potatoes cut in square and cover with their sausage gravy and lot of cheese. The Pourtine have great flavors like the sausage gavey was incredible good but the portions are big it would fill you up. My wife enjoy her fried biscuits and gavey and my brother in law enjoy his veggie scramble. The food was incredible good but get pack very quick get there early.

Yelp
Customer service was great. From the host, to the waitress , to the busser, everyone was really nice! Now as far as food, it's good but it's not the "OMG, you need to try this place " I think this place is a bit overhyped and overpriced !! I got the pork Chilaquiles , but I might as well have gotten the one without the pork for $8 less, because mine and my husbands had barely any pork at all. My husband small dish of French toast was very stale and dry! My pancake was cold and rubbery His orange juice was $10!!!! And my simple hot coffee was $6 !!! Really overpriced

Yelp
Delicious food ! The chilaquiles are by far the tastiest I have had. The best part of this place is that they serve you a small side dish. It satisfies the sweet tooth. I got the French toast with peaches and blueberries. It was all so good the service was great. A must try location for breakfast!
