The Oaks Gourmet Market & Cafe

Food is freshly cooked to order. The selection of alcohol spirits is terrific, a great place to pick up a basket full of goods for a picnic, or have brunch outdoors. The coffee selection is awesome and the baristas are always friendly. The restroom and eating areas are kept sanitized. In conclusion the place is pet friendly. A cool place to hang out.

Nice market and tasty sandwiches. They have vegan pastry sweet and savory! The mushroom croissant pastry was good. They have special goods and products not gound everywhere. I really like the wild blueberry soda they sell.

I never write reviews so this is new. This was my first experience here. My friend lives walking distance so he introduced me to this lovely looking marketplace. And I hate to say it but I was so disappointed. I ordered a Chai Latte. They did not have Chai. So, I ordered a matcha sweetened with agave. When I got my drink, they let me know they were out of agave, so I got honey instead. The drink was neither hot, nor sweetened properly (although the barista did apologize for the lack of agave), and the matcha was watery even though I ordered oat milk. I’m really not the person to go out of my way to criticize but for a nearly $7 drink I’m really disappointed in the experience. I’m looking at the quarter-consumed cup of lukewarm green stuff and I nearly contemplated taking it back. Which isn’t something I’m in the practice of doing AT ALL. But this was simply bad

Ordered a Bahn Mi sandwich a fried chicken sandwich and some fries. Whoever took our order told us to wait outside. After about 2 minutes a service worker came out and notified us that they completely forgot about the fried chicken sandwich. We said that's okay. Then they finally brought out our order we had to leave so we took it to go. 5 minutes later we are home eating a pretty sad meal... The bahn mi sandwich was a soggy mess, the fries were cold and soggy and the chicken sandwich was a sad dry mess. Overall a pretty poor experience.

UPDATE: So, after a not so great first experience, we decided to give this neighborhood joint a second chance. We ordered the exact same thing as the first time (minus the fries, just weren't craving them this time) as we thought that was the best way to give them a second chance. Plus, I was craving a juicy burger. This time they knocked it out of the park. The Oaks burger was juicy, pink and delicious, just as a good burger should be. I paired it with a Czech Pilsner from their great selection of beers, wines and spirits. My gf got the Grilled Cheese with Tomato Bisque once again and it was absolutely perfect. Wonderfully toasty with a gooey and stretchy cheese center. Just plain drool worthy. She paired that with an original formula Dr. Pepper which was great. They also have a great selection of non-alcoholic drinks. Definitely will be stopping by again on our walks. This time I also walked away with some Gnocchi, which I'll be cooking up for dinner soon. Anyways, glad we gave them a second change. Walked in and couldn't figure out where to order. There was more staff there than customers, yet nobody greeted us or even acknowledged our existence. Whatever, eventually someone noticed us and took out order. The dry aged burger, fries and a grilled cheese. It took over 20 minutes for us to get our order, even thought there was practically nobody there. Can't even imagine how bad it is when there are a ton of people there, like I see when I walk my dog past this place daily. So, we finally get our food and what a disappointment it was. The fries were COLD! Who has the audacity to serve cold fries?! Especially for $5. Get home and they sure put the DRY in dry aged. The burger was closer to cold than warm, even though we live 4 blocks away and drove. It had a decent taste but was way over cooked. The grilled cheese was also closer to cold, and it wasn't barely toasted. The tomato bisque was only warm in the middle. Was hoping this would be a go to spot in the new neighborhood. But, it just turned into a HUGE disappointment.

Inside, it's beautifully put together. To the right, you can order food. To the left, you have coffee and pastries. Throughout, there's an assortment of snacks. Some are imported. Not sure what the other reviewers meant about the staff? The woman behind the register was kind, courteous, and attentive. The barista in the coffee area was cleaning and taking care of his station while also noticing I needed assistance. The staff making my sandwich we're singing and dancing while cleaning and cooking. What more do you want from a team in an establishment? Bravo team! I ordered a chicken bahn mi. I didn't know bahn mi could be elevated to taste like a luxury item. Here, this is exactly what it is. A majestic piece of art proportioned perfectly to peak your palette. I tried not going back immediately for the 2nd sandwich after finishing the 1st. I also ordered a snickerdoodle and reese's peanut butter cookie. The cookies were soft and flavorful. Well done baking staff. This place checks all the boxes for what it is. A gourmet market. Bravo team. I encourage all to come in and enjoy what the Oaks Gournet Market has to offer.

My husband and I are staying at the Adler A Hollywood Hotel and whenever we walked past this cafe, there will always be quite a number of people dining there. Hence, after our hike at the Griffith Observatory on our 2nd last day in LA, we decided to give this cafe a try though the food seemed a little pricey. We ordered the lavender honey latte, pepperoni pizza with honey and burrata, and a salad (without meat, with some honey and vinaigrette dressing). Suffice to say, it seemed like this cafe does their items with honey well. The pizza was extremely sloppy and I was pleasantly surprised that it didn't have a thick crust that most pizzas usually have. The lavender honey latte was USD 8 and it was nice, though pricey. The salad had a whole dollop of feta cheese on it! Most people seemed to drink more than eat there and some even ordered multiple drinks.

The Oaks is an overpriced, non-organic and very replaceable market, operated by bitter and racist employees. And phantom ownership who thinks it's acceptable to defer their wage liability to customers. A toxic tip culture and an employee who literally insulted me to my face has me shopping anywhere but here.

I was across the street at gelsons and saw this place had a grilled cheese so I looked online and saw their grilled cheese came with a soup and looked good. It took a bit longer than anticipated but it was well worth the wait. The guy at the cash register was super apologetic but they were busy it was Saturday I didn't mind waiting a bit. It was a really good sandwich and the soup was also really good! Highly recommend

The food, coffee, and staff are amazing here! Love coming by on a sunny day for lunch and enjoying their outdoor seating! They have a large selection of specialty snacks, drinks, and ingredients which is fun to browse through! My favs: veggie breakfast burrito, iced lavender latte, and their fries!! They have some of the best fries I've ever had. They're made to order and are SO crispy. Sometimes I'll stop by just for a coffee and fries. Such a great neighborhood spot!

Parking is on the streets. Be aware of the signage. Staff was very friendly. Ordered a steak and cheese hoagie. It was really tasted. The Mayo aioli was delicious in the sandwich. Highly recommend

I can't believe Ived lived down the street from here for years and I just came here for the first time recently! This place is adorable, it's a very nice cafe/restaurant/wine store/ smoothie bar/ baked goods/ hot meals and just well everything else you could think of! They even have adorable canned beers starting at $3 The chicken bahn mi sandwich was delicious! The bread was amazinggg And the workers (i think their names were brad and gabby, I apologize if i remembered wrong ) But they were super nice, friendly, and helpful! I am absolutely in love with this place and it's my new regular hangout, it checks all my boxes and even ones I didn't realize I had haha Also it's open till 9 pm everyday now so even better! And they serve breakfast all day! And everyday they have some sort of special food deal

Love Oaks Gourmet. Really great sandwiches and breakfast. I don't shop at the store part, but they always have interesting and eclectic items there. It's a bit pricey and the wait time for food is more like a restaurant than a quick deli. So go in with those expectations and you'll be happy. Chicken Banh Mi is excellent. Breakfast burrito is excellent. The atmosphere is really great. It's the best neighborhood hangout for Franklin village. Lots of writers, artists, attractive-people pretty much all the time. And one of the better celeb spotting sights too. I'd say every 1 out of 3 times I go there I see someone recognizable.

I've always wanted to come here since it's always packed when I pass by. The sandwich options looked great and I was excited to try the Roasted Turkey club but when I arrived home to eat it, I noticed it was lacking most of the ingredients. The sandwich is supposed to come with sharp cheddar cheese, tomatoes and red onion. I had less than half the size of a tomato slice, no cheese and no red onion. After tax and tip I paid $20 for a Turkey sandwich with country white bread at the end of the day. Unfortunately, will not be coming back due to the price and the lack of a better sandwich. Update -- This was resolved by Greg VERY quickly, and I very much appreciate the customer service that was received! Giving it another shot!

Always love coming here , staff is super friendly. I always come here for coffee or muffins but their cheese selection is great and they have really good fresh gnocchi. Cold brew is so good if u lighter brew and the specialty drinks are soooo good , prices are very reasonable for the quality and I know nearby places around the neighborhood that charge 7$ just for cold brew !

The Oaks is a perfect blend of food, beverages, snacks and alcohol. This place seems to be the perfect place to spend a nice afternoon. My cousin and I often meet up here to grab some food and coffee and catch up. My last visit there I enjoyed a margherita pizza and mint iced tea. The pizza was so fresh and the crust was perfect. Service is always friendly and welcoming and there's always parking somewhere nearby.

Oaks, we love you for anchoring our neighborhood over the years, but please, it's time to extend your hours back to pre-Covid days. It's summer, people want to hang & commune again. Last night at 9pm closing time you had 6 tables outside still eating. Please consider. The hood needs it!

Love it. Delish, anything you could want, great sandwiches and wine. It's easy to get a seat outside and I noticed LA's finest there during my most recent visit. Big tip: eat where the cops eat!

The pictures say it all. $12 avocado toast. 1 slice of bread, barely any avocado, 2 slices of tomato, 1 egg. No condiments on it whatsoever. $14 for the Italian Breakfast sandwich and yolks were already broken when I unwrapped it and there are no condiments on the bread, so it's bone dry. Overpriced and meh. I used to come here all the time when I was going to AFI. Thought this would be a lovely sentimental experience. That's a big fat NOPE. Can't wait for the Natural Grocer on the corner of Western and Franklin to open to see what they offer in comparison.

As an Elder Millennial born in the early 80s; I've reached the point in my life where I'm apparently not hip, not 'in the know', old-fashioned and generally don't understand slang. I've even been called "an old hag" once by a 20 year old Gen Z kid. Frankly, I'm glad: I don't want to be in their world. Basically, I don't always understand why things are considered cool. This extends to certain Los Angeles businesses/establishments. I just don't get it, sometimes. The Oaks Gourmet is one of those places. Why is this place so special?! I am quite in the dark! Listen, The Oaks Gourmet isn't horrible and I don't have reasonable complaints but it also isn't the amazing golden palace that the rich hipsters in Los Feliz/Franklin Village make it out to be. Everyone has at least driven past The Oaks Gourmet as it holds real estate in the small business strip on Franklin/Bronson across the street from the Scientology Celebrity Center and next to the famous Upright Citizens Brigade. But unless you live in the area and walk to The Oaks Gourmet; then expect a clustered parking situation. There IS a free parking lot but it is limited in spaces and is begging for bumper-to-bumper accidents. So, what is The Oaks Gourmet? It's a combination shop that would best fit into Larchmont Village meshing together an artisan-style convenience store  (think kombucha, coconut water, cheese and salami versus Gatorade and potato chips), a small café/coffee shop (also serving sandwiches) and a liquor/wine store where most of the hipsters probably only want IPAs. According to the Grammy Award-winning musician I visited with: many celebrities stop by the shop. He may have been trying to impress me but it just made me roll my old-ass eyes. The Oaks Gourmet is clean, naturally-lit and tops it off with high ceilings and lots of wooden accents. Exactly what you would expect from such a place. Our visit to The Oaks Gourmet was simple enough with me ordering a small iced tea (unsweetened) from the café and my friend going with a single shot espresso. Service was Speedy Gonzalez- fast (granted, these choices don't involve too much preparation). The tea was tasty: light, refreshing and tasted of quality. The espresso was also delicious but nothing out of the ordinary. Again, there is nothing wrong with The Oaks Gourmet but it is also nothing to write home about. It is basically the small-scale version of when people insist on shopping at Erewon and Whole Foods when they can get the same items cheaper at Ralphs. It is simply a place to "be seen".  Or maybe I'm just too un-cool to really 'get it'. Either way, stop by at The Oaks Gourmet or don't. Neither here nor there.  Just be prepared for hipster galore.

My neighborhood market! Decently priced coffee ($4.75 for a large americano) where it's over $6 at Clark street down the way. They have a beautiful array of wines, every sparking water your heart could desire, and a delicious menu. I am partial to the avocado toast and the Gem Caesar salad (add chicken)....always fresh ingredients and very filling! The staff is Friendly and low-key. There are no pretentious vibes here- everyone is welcome.

Came in today for the first time. It had a cute selection of market goods but unfortunately my sandwich was subpar. I ordered the roast turkey club, but was disappointed to find it was missing the cheddar, tomato, and red onion that was listed on the menu. If I knew the kitchen was out of these items I would have chosen something else. Super frustrating for a $16 sandwich. The coffee was good though.

$11.95 for a latte and a chocolate croissant... what have we become?! But "Gourmet" cafe ok I get it but at least warm my croissant - even Starbucks would do this. The price is steep for a medium sized latte & dry croissant plus I waited over 15 mins for it on a late Friday morning. I bumped it to 3 stars because I like the actual offerings of the market: unique high end Erewhon tier goods but for the average items I ordered they need to be amazing to justify the price.

This is going to be short but sweet. Walked by at lunchtime and it fit the bill. I was going for a walk, had a nasty cold and nothing is better than grilled cheese and tomato soup when you've got a cold. The grilled cheese had a LOT of top notch cheese, I did have to remove some, which was easy enough. The tomato bisque was fabulous. Finding an entire clove of roasted garlic in it was like striking gold. Super lunch stop.

Great coffee. Always such a feel good energy going on in here. The neighborhood is lucky to have this.

Have had a sandwich and a burger from this place. Both were barely edible. The people are very nice... I just wish the quality of the food was better! I was unable to eat more than a few bites of the burger

I've intermittently thought about the burger from The Oaks Gourmet for years - from the onset of popular food culture, the burger from The Oaks definitely made its rounds on people's blogs and social media. And many years later, I was serendipitously in the area and decided to finally fulfill my burger dreamZ. The Oaks Burger is a 1/2 pound patty, topped with bacon, arugula, red onion tomato, smoked jalapeño compote, taleggio, on a toasted bun ($15.95). I carried this 1/2 pound burger home...and this wasn't that great. The great big burger patter was super lacking in flavor...not even the melted cheese could help it along. It was very disappointing because it was so bland. So, so bland. So bland. Maybe a sauce would have helped the situation. However the Roasted Turkey Club ($15.95) saved the day. This sandwich comes with roast turkey, bacon, sharp cheese, tomato, red onion, sprouts, basil aioli, on country bread. I'm going to tell you now - country bread isn't that friendly when retoasted - you gotta eat it there or ask for it to be not toasted. The turkey was top notch - thick slabs of turkey, combined with everything else, equated a very good, but expensive sandwich. In any case, is was a very good sandwich with high quality ingredients. Hey so. It's expensive here. Find your pace and you'll be fine. I think it makes for a good after hiking situation or for a to-go-to the Hollywood Bowl situation. Lots of situations to be had!

Gourmet fancy things yeah yeah. I go for brunch only. The Oaks Bacon Burrito to be exact, add hot sauce. I'm super judgmental too btw. It's simple yet really flavorful. Sit outside, people-watch for 20 mins, and plan your evening gas station parking lot burrito while you take in the rays.

It looks like my review about how this place has gone downhill was removed so I'm leaving another one. This place was GREAT when the tall hat guy ran it but since he left it's been terrible. The coffee/food is inconsistent. Sometimes your drink is scalding hot, other times it's luke warm. LGBTQ+ customers have noticed a high rate of having their orders messed up by the kitchen. There used to always be someone who could tell you about the wine you were picking out, but that's a thing of the past. And the new manager, who always has a scowl, treats employees horribly, sometimes humiliating them in front of customers. I have seen it with my own eyes and it's so uncomfortable to watch. There's several of us who used to be regulars but have stopped supporting this business, especially after hearing how poorly employees are treated, and now get our coffee across the street at Gelson's instead.

One of my *secret* places to hang out at. That BLT! The Oaks Burger? It has just got to be one of the most delicious burgers in Los Angeles! Go get it!

April 2012 - I got a Turkey & Camembert sandwich, iced coffee and took home two kinds of cheese, some cranberry jalapeño jelly and a steak sauce that had whisky in it.

Always good people and good food. Great wine and gifts for quick pick ups. Love hanging outside and seeing people out and about.

I just finished a run and was craving a breakfast burrito and coffee, of which has been satisfied! I will say it was a bit expensive: $21 for a burrito and small coffee but then again it's in Hollywood/ Los Feliz of which is pretty pricey in general. The drip coffee tastes great (I added a splash of oat milk) and the Bacon Burrito was hot and delicious! I'll definitely be getting this again. The manager, Jeremy, was very helpful when I walked in and explained the ordering process. The food was pretty quick to come out and the ambiance was nice. Lots of happy folks, people working, some journaling and just a great atmosphere overall. No longer will I need to hunt down a coffee bean when I'm in this area.

The ultimate BLT is great. Good size, and fulfilling. The bacon was crispy and the avocado was prepared fresh. A bit too much sauce on this sandwich from the sauce being prepared on both sides of the bread. A bit too pricey for just the sandwich at $13.95 & $2.50 for the bottle. The drink tasted very carbonated with a hint of rose, you do not really taste the lemonade part. The seating area is only available outdoors. You have to go in to purchase the bottle drink but you also can order your meal there. The prices of the drink aren't labeled. Parking is available on-premise or I guess across the street at Gelsons plus there is street parking. Just watch out if it's a street cleaning day.

I used to visit the Oaks years ago, had fond memories of the place but after a recent visit, it's unlikely I'll return. When paying luxury prices for a few deli items or drinks, you expect at-least half way decent customer service. I am ok with paying a bit more to support small businesses also but it's hard to justify doing so when staff are completely out of line. A staff member who said her name was "Jenny" was so pretentious and rude when I asked her a few basic questions that it was striking. She gave off a very unfriendly energy and was rolling her eyes, huffing and puffing before I even spoke to her but she positioned herself at the counter I was standing at, so I futilely *attempted to place an order with her. After her dismissive/passive aggressive reaction to some very ordinary questions, I realized that talking to this person was unproductive. I gave up on ordering anything from the kitchen( planning to grab food elsewhere) and tried to excuse myself from her. I walked to the other side of the store to check out with the few items I had with an alternate cashier. The normal response would have been to let me do that. Obviously "Jenny" knew that I did not want to further engage with her, since she was so unkind( for still unknown reasons), I only assumed she wouldn't want to engage with me either. However she immediately followed me to the other side of the store and physically placed herself between me and the gentleman behind the smoothie counter, as I was trying to ask him if he would check me out instead. Lol. I told her I didn't want her to check me out and asked if anyone else could which she blatantly ignored. She made some condescending comments about how I was just upset because they didn't have an item that I asked for, when in reality, the only thing that bothered me was the bizarre hostility I was experiencing from a total stranger. When I asked why she was being rude to me, said she was "doing nothing" and laughed. She never self-corrected and the entire time I was trying to check out she was staring me down like an angry lizard. Instead of waiting for me to push the buttons on the credit card scanner like a normal person, she immediately and rudely reached over to push the buttons on the scanner to the point that I was so confused during the transaction that the entire process needed to be started over. Maybe she dealt with a difficult customer right before me and she can't differentiate between customers? Maybe she is just generally awful to everyone? I asked again why she was acting so odd and she just said I was really the odd one. Also I have no idea if "Jenny" is her real name, it was just the one she provided( she was very short, had dark hair, wore lipstick, and looked to be 20s/30s). I was having a good day until I walked into the Oaks. I'm pretty sure people visit the cafe to relax and recharge, not to be an emotional trash can for someone who isn't having a good day or who is just generally mean. I have to imagine that employees like this don't show this side to their boss, because if their higher ups knew, I can't see why they would keep them employed since having unfriendly staff is detrimental to a small business. I'd guess this place still has really good sandwiches but I can't say for sure, I didn't get that far.

Wide selection of gourmet foods. Their sandwiches are fantastic. Got the bodega chopped cheese it was epic. Love the bread cheese meat sauces everything on it.

Definitely NOT Gourmet... My food came quickly and that's probably because they used the Bacon they cooked at breakfast time for my dinner BLT!! Man, Tasteless, hard as a rock bacon ‍ They used the same crappy bacon on my Wedge Salad! Not good. The Fries were actually good, but there were only about 5 Long ones and the rest were just broken fries. Such a shame.

My family lives a couple of blocks from here and when visiting previously it was closed for a long time due to Covid but was really impressed with the selection of options. We were here 3 mornings and everything was yummy. My only suggestion is if you want sweetener in your latte make sure you tell them because I started my walk home and was pretty upset my 8 dollar latte was quite tart for me.

I'll always love this place. The coffee and matcha are excellent, they have a huge selection of yummy alcoholic (mostly wine) and non-alcoholic drinks. Their turkey club is my favorite thing to eat, but everything else they have is equally as excellent. I also love the small neighborhood vibe they have. The service is always solid, with everyone being friendly and helpful. I definitely recommend this spot for outdoor meetings, hangs, or even a place you can sit and read a book by yourself!

Went and got their amazing burger. Best burger I've had in awhile. Tellagio cheese, jalapeño pineapple compote, fresh tomato and onion...and i mean fresh! Their buns are out of this world, it's a half pound and it's just very good. That's all. The store itself is cool. Great selection of wines. Friendly people running the joint, and a very trendy crowd that frequents it. Stop by!

Strolled onto Oaks after a nice walk in the hills on a warm day. We were barely in the door before being offered a glass of cold water. The sandwiches were huge and delicious. Went back a couple days later in the morning for coffee and pastries, fantastic as well.

I haven't been in a while so I was feeling Saturday breakfast lazy and wanted to stop in after running errands. I ordered the Oaks Bacon Burrito and it had absolutely no bacon in it. Not a small disappointing amount, just no bacon. The burrito was not 'full' either it looks like it was wrapped loosely to make it look bigger and the eggs were far from fluffy. The ratio of crispy egg bits to actual egg was not favorable. I don't want to hate on the local businesses but it does get frustrating when you want to support the establishment down the street but you have to travel out to a taco shack/truck to get the basic breakfast burrito. Along with the premium price you pay for anything here you expect a little more in both quantity and quality but that never happens. Depending on who is working at the time you could have a perfectly pleasant person or someone who is annoyed they have to serve you until they're acting career takes off. Even as you are tipping them. I'll come in again at some point but I'll have to open/unwrap/check whatever I order to be sure it's true to the expectations given on the menu. Unfortunately I think there's someone out there who doesn't eat bacon getting a mouthful of bacon this morning.

Awesome spot in Hollyweird right off Franklin. Came here for some sandwiches and discovered their awesome selections of natural wine. Sandwiches, pizza, natural wine and much more - what more could you ask for!

Love this place, been coming here for a few years now. My go-to is usually the breakfast burrito or Italian breakfast sandwich. Can't go wrong with either choice. Their coffee and lattes are also good - vanilla cold brew is usually my drink preference to go along with my meal. One thing I do miss, however, is the hot sauce selection they used to have on the indoor table (pre-remodel). Texas Pete Hot sauce blended in nicely with the breakfast burrito, hope they can bring it back at some point.

The plan was to relax and soak in the rays on a gorgeous day outside. What's better than having a little picnic at Griffith Park. Nothing fancy, we were thinking to simply grab a sandwich and snack to go. In search of a deli nearby, The Oaks Gourmet conveniently jumped out at us. Parking was a little tricky but we finally found a spot behind the shop. We ordered the Oven Roasted Turkey and Smoked Cheddar. The sandwich was tasty but only after I had scraped off the excess aioli. The toasted 7-grain bread did not disappoint though. Originally 3.5 stars because my order was not complex and yet the wait was long. The person behind the counter was slow and aloof. But I've gladly rounded it up to 4 because of their cheese selection. While waiting for the sandwich to be made, we had plenty of time to peruse the merchandise and most importantly sample their cheese offerings. I have Oaks Gourmet to thank for introducing me to my new favorite Brebirousse d'Argental.

The first thing that stood out to me about The Oaks was the warmth of the employees; I didn't catch their names (both barista and market-section cashier, as I visited twice in one day), and I don't know if they're always like that or if it was just the day that I went, but they were very "on" and kind. I initially came here to meet a friend for coffee, and I was SO GLAD that there was a parking lot (with actual empty spaces, too), because finding street parking in Hollywood is NOT my forte. I got an iced black coffee & bear claw pastry (yum), and my friend and I settled at a shaded table outside, where The Oaks has a good amount of seating. On the other side of the street is some gated green space belonging to the Scientology Celebrity Centre. Just down the block from The Oaks are some cool shops, like the Daily Planet (bookstore), and other coffee spots. I don't have much experience with the main market side of The Oaks, save for later the same day after coffee, when I ducked in for a Topo Chico and a soda. Again, nice service, and the cashier was on-it about offering to open the bottles for me; I probably would've forgotten to ask. There's also a bathroom for customers, which is always a plus when you're out and about.

Not the Same. Things have gone downhill at the Oaks. Staff is kind, service is good. I also don't mind paying for good food -- but unlike the Oaks if yesteryear, the quality is missing entirely. Breakfast burrito is smaller than before and quite bland if you dont ask for avocado or other add-ons, making it a $20+ small burrito very quickly. Also, who makes a breakfast burrito and doesn't make salsa? This is SoCal for god's sakes! The lox bagel sandwich is missing three key ingredients - cream cheese, decent lox, and a decent bagel. What it does have? One million sprouts. Enjoy your salad sandwich. Just miss my old haunt. The market is still cool but i unfortunately wont be back for the food :-/

Still not too happy with this place. They have great food but when I come in an see they have bagel and lox but don't want fish for breakfast instead I ask for egg and they can't do it without charging me for the lox and up charging me for egg? It doesn't have to be so complicated for a simple bagel and cream cheese with egg? I wound up getting a baguette with Brie and ham. Didn't ask if I wanted it warmed up and it's super dry bread think it's day old. OJ doesn't taste fresh squeezed. Thought it was supposed to be gourmet?

This is a great place for lunch. I've made a point of trying a number of things on their menu lately because I had only tried their burger (delicious!) and Cobb salad (ditto). I'm not a big fane of eating at the tables outside since the area is sloping and I feel like I'm going to tip over. I usually get take out here. I haven't tried any of the breakfast items but their coffee is a disappointment, so I avoid that. I had the fried chicken sandwich, which was really good. It had what tasted like a house made pickle, cut lengthwise, so it stayed in the sandwich. The Vietnamese sandwich would have been good, but the baguette was really stale, I pitched it and ate the filling which was really good. They also have a small selection of gourmet foods including cheeses and a fun selection of cold beverages.

New to the neighborhood and loving this classy little market just up the street! Great little gourmet picnic type snack items (they carry a brand of potato chips that I first discovered in Naples, so the offerings are legit) and menu offerings (sandwiches, soups, salads, pizzas etc) which are good to grab to go or eat in, as they have some seating inside and outside. I had the Saturday special - Chicken Matzo Ball Soup - which I will probably be picking up often. Can't wait to come back and try more of their specials, particularly the breakfast burrito which I've heard so much about. Impressive selection of craft beer, wine, and champagne for such a small shop, however the premium for buying here is much higher than going to BevMo or Total Wine... I guess it's good for when you are in a bind, or if you are willing to pay for the convenience (the Gelson's across the street makes Whole Foods look cheap but I still frequent it, so not judging you if you buy your liquor here, just a forewarning).

Stopped into this cute market looking for breakfast and was pleasantly surprised to get a GREAT tasting bacon egg burrito and very good coffee. Honestly a 10 out of 10. Was welcomed warmly and felt my business was appreciated. Great spot with picnic supplies. I'll be back.

Been going here 10 years. Love it. Great bacon breakfast burrito. Please bring back the cupcakes. Please bring back the late night hours (used to be open to midnight). Please bring back the inside seating. Also if it's going to be all outside seating don't just have it be a parking lot lol put some actual work into the outside seating area, could be so good. Also get whatever license you need to let us have a cocktail outside.

Picked up a 'Fried Chicken Sandwich' here today, and it was DEFINITELY not worth the outrageous price!! Also, one of the guys in the kitchen area did not have a mask on. When I asked the cashier about it, he shrugged like it was no big deal....not cool. On top of that, another kitchen worker got very passive aggressive about me asking about the mask--they won't be getting my money for mediocre food and sucky, rude, snarky service anymore!

Ode to The Oaks- What a sweet love affair. With food Devine and the customers a delight. This place makes me feel at home, feeling so right. Build up an appetite then come here to try a few dishes! Such a treat of Franklin Village, I could come here everyday. From their delicious burgers (you won't need ketchup) to their Thai infused pizza there is something for everyone. The atmosphere simple yet fun - set up like an upper scale grocery mart with unique products! Lots of parking and surrounded by cool stores to also check out - come one come all!!
