The 14 Best Restaurants In Cabo San Lucas & San Jose Del Cabo

"It doesn’t get more Cabo than The Office, where you can sit on the beach, watch the waves come in at Medano Bay, and enjoy the menu consisting mainly of classic Mexican dishes. Local legend has it that The Office was started by an expat who came to Cabo in the 1970s when tourists were basically nonexistent. These days, it's one of the most well-known places in the area, perfect for a meal fueled by burritos, fried fish, hamburgers, and fruity cocktails, all of which taste that much better with your toes in the sand. Cool experience. Super hot under the tents. Very busy place. But wouldn’t go back too expensive. We got steak tacos. They were decent. 1 alcoholic drink 2 steak tacos 1 chips and quac. Over $90

Ah, The Office—not the one with Michael Scott, but the iconic beachfront spot in Cabo where the drinks flow, the sand tickles your toes, and the “no reservations” policy is more of a suggestion than a rule (despite the sea of "Reserved" signs posted like it's a game of beachside Monopoly). Want a front-row seat near the water? Good luck, amigo—those tables are mysteriously spoken for. But wander a little farther from the waves and the party’s still rolling with upbeat music, a festive crowd, and staff who seem like they’re in on the joke. The food and drinks? Solid. Nothing mind-blowing, but you’re not here for Michelin stars—you’re here for tacos, margaritas the size of your head, and maybe a mariachi band sneaking up behind you mid-bite. It’s all part of the charm. The vibe is lively, a little cheeky, and surprisingly family-friendly (yes, the kids can dance in the sand while you work on your second mojito). Go for the fun, stay for the people-watching, and maybe bring a “Reserved” sign just in case.

If you are looking for something by the Beach this is the place. Good vibes, music & great service, the food was good like any other places good plates and other’s ok. We had a great time and the staff was very friendly and attentive.

Although we visited during the off season (early February) this restaurant was busy and lively none the less. We were seated right away on the beach. We had about 2-3 servers tending us. Our main server was friendly and informative. The only concern I have is that we asked for a cocktail menu and were told they didn't have one. My boyfriend then requested a tequila menu and they brought the cocktail menu and shortly after we finally received the tequila menu. We did notice that a lot of establishments do this and charge you whatever price they want afterwards. The office however, will bring the bottle of tequila you requested and pour shots in front of you. The margaritas are delicious. Shrimp and steak tacos were unreal. We ordered the "Shrimp special" which cost triple what our tacos did, again our fault for not asking the price. Look forward to visiting again.

Okay so I don’t know why this place has good reviews. The place has good location right on the beach. It’s busy and wasn’t enjoyable cause everyone works there rushing. We’ve order their coconut shrimp from their specials that cost 950$mx (about 50$) wasn’t worth it at all. Only about 6 pieces and wasn’t anything special. Their margaritas were okay. Their ceviche wasn’t flavorful either. Unfortunately I only enjoyed their salsas with chips. So consider all this and paying so much for overrated food.

One of my favorite places in Cabo. Fiesta every Thursday. Incredible food and service. Sea bass tacos are phenomenal, everything I have had here is great. Highly recommend.

The ceviche! 🤩🤩amazing ! The michelada - perfecto! It was very loud but definitely what we expected - a fun atmosphere with music , the sound of the ocean waves nearby with a mexican vibe we were looking for! Colors, food, mariachi’s, micheladas, a wall of tequilas from very everyday to exotic !
