Tried this place for the first time, I got chicken tacos, my husband got barbacoa and both were AMAZING!

Drove by it, flipped a u-turn and thought “I bet there food is legit”. It was! Great people, great selection of drinks and the food is authentic. We’ll be back for the chorizo breakfast burritos. Well done Old Oak, well done.

Quick, good authentic Mexican food and convenience store. Will stop again for sure. We had Carne Asada tacos. Corn Tortillas were fresh and good.

Stopped in on a Monday at about 5:30. Ordered two Barbacoa plates. Very tender and great flavor. Fresh salsa was also great.

Friendly, welcoming, food is fresh to order, salsas are made fresh as well. Besides that food is served all day, there are coolers with sodas & spirits, gasoline, smokes, treats, and some house hold items. Grateful for this spot🙏

My first time here with my husband and all I can say is, it's the best barbocoa I've had since we've been living in TN! The plates are plentiful and delicious. The price is reasonable and the service is fast and friendly. They just got a couple new regulars!

This is my new favorite place to get Mexican food. You can tell in the taste how authentic it is. The owners don't make their food for the American palate, and the meats are delicious. Asada anything is a great starter dish for your first time. I also suggest trying the barbacoa and pazole when they have them. The house salsa has a real kick to it, but packs a lot of flavor. This is also a fun place to try real Mexican snacks that we don't get in our grocery stores.

This not so hidden gem is truly a place of perfection. I've been missing authentic Mexican food for most of my life after moving away from New Mexico's abundance of options. Following the recommendation of a close friend, I finally made it out to The Old Oak and was able to order Tamales. I cannot wait to return and enjoy their other meal options. Seriously, AMAZING food and worth the drive. Also, super budget friendly!!!

The tamales here are excellent. They're always super fresh around lunch time. The spicy salsa is super great, too! I always look forward to my weekly visit.

I couldn't find the place. I drove around for 45 minutes. It wasn't where they said it was. Confused the hell out of Waze and Google Maps. I finally just gave up and went to Pancho's Place in Columbia.

The prices are more than fair, the food was great and the tamales were wonderful. I highly recommend for a quick bite if you're out or a full meal.

I'm a Southern California native and frequent visitor to Mexico and this is the real deal, authentic Mexican food. Street tacos are on point and super flavorful, tamales are perfection, and the beans and rice will have you transported to the taquerias of Mexico or Los Angeles in a heartbeat. If you're looking for Tennessee Mexican food with cheese sauce and chunky retried beans, stay away. This is legit.

Best tamales you can take away. They'll make any kind with a few days notice. There are several tables to eat at (it's a convenience store) and really nice folks here. Original Mexican food here. Great place for lunch, have never done dinner.

Genuine Mexican food with some of the most polite and courteous people I've ever seen in a gas station. The food is hot and fresh with plenty of flavor, I will definitely be back.

This restaurant and limited market in a converted gas station was pretty authentic Mexican food. Definitely a farm hand kind of place, but you eat here for the food.

Come on the weekends! They have fresh tamales! While they are really great, I really wish they had more meat inside. The homemade salsa is delicious and tastes nothing like salsa you can buy in the store. If you get the chance to order their pineapple tamales, do it!

This is authentic Mexican food. If you want cheap Taco Bell style Mexican, then go somewhere else. If you want the real deal, just like real Hispanics eat, then this is the place. As far as the convenience store part, there's not a lot of variety, just the basic essentials--beer, cigarettes, a freezer of paletas (Hispanic popsicles), candy bars. Their gas is ethanol free, so lots of people come in to fill up their gas cans for their lawn mowers. The real reason to come is to get some of the Mexican food they make during lunch hours. The lady that runs the store is very nice, and her food is good. That's about all you really need to know. The only thing that would make this place better is to have somebody making breakfast burritos and churros in the morning, because I'm not around during lunch hours during the week to visit.
