"“A lot of times people have the sauce right, but then the ribs or the brisket might be tough. Their stuff is done to perfection. They have the best taste, a good balance of sweet and savory, and the smoke flavoring is just perfect. They get a 10 out of 10 from me. It's a bit of a ways from my house, but it's so good that I will go [to Fairburn]. I don't go that often, but maybe once a quarter, or something like that, and I load up. I get the brisket, the rib tips, the smoked sausage. Then when I get back on my side of town, my friends will come over to the house and have a whole BBQ moment.” We haven’t been here yet, but want you to know this spot exists." - Team Infatuation

"There aren’t a ton of BBQ options at the airport, which makes sense because scarfing down huge helpings of pork, baked beans, and mac and cheese might not be the ideal meal before being squished into a middle seat for five hours. But when Mustard Seed’s tender brisket and slightly vinegary potato salad touches our lips, it puts all thoughts of fighting for an arm rest out of our minds (it belongs to the middle seat. Period). It’s worth the trek to Terminal D to get our hands on a solid Southern meal, and the laid-back vibes of the wood-paneled space feel homey and warm." - Juli Horsford

Service was great and the restaurant is big and spacious and clean. Initially, I was going to give 4 stars on the food because it was barely warm when I got home (I stay 7 min away), but the food was so good I forgot about it!! lol The meat was super tender, and seasoned well! The sides were regular; not bad but nothing special. And I paid $20 for everything. Def would try again.

I’ve been a customer of Mustard Seed BBQ in Fairburn for a while, but my recent visits have been really disappointing. The food freshness and quality have become inconsistent. The macaroni and cheese I got last time was extremely dry, lacked flavor, and tasted like it had been made days ago rather than being fresh. The rib tips were a letdown as well—they were mostly bone and fat, and they weren’t even cut properly. It’s frustrating to spend money and not get what you expect, especially when the last few times I’ve visited, they’ve been out of food or didn’t have what was listed on the menu. I’m not sure if I’ll be returning anytime soon if things don’t improve.

Ordered the rib and chicken dinner. The ribs and chicken both were tender, juicy, and delicious with great smoke flavor. Not really a mustard sauce person but I have to say the BBQ sauce was great. The sides however were bland! The baked beans seem to come right of a can and the mac and cheese was just so so.

Local BBQ joint serving your typical entree favorites. Pulled pork sandwiches, ribs, chicken plates and standard sides (baked beans, greens, fries, etc) are on the menu. Surprisingly, the mac-n-cheese was good. Food overall was average. Will say I do like their mustard based sauce. Plenty of indoor seating can accommodate any party size. Looks like there is space for special events as there was a separate bar and mini faux dance floor/stage available in the dining section. Free parking in plaza.

The chicken, rib tips and the barbecue sauce were very good but those sides…. ☹️☹️. I ordered baked beans, I think they gave me canned pork’n beans, the potato salad taste like it only had mayo added to potatoes. The collards were just ok, edible and the mac’n cheese was just ok. So I would definitely return for the meats… they can keep the sides!!

The food was great and they give large amount of chicken/ribs for your money. The staff was friendly and nice. The staff was able to help me pick what I wanted to eat.

I have been coming to the mustard seed for years, even when they had a hole in the wall in the wall next to the Atlanta, Credit, Union by the West in.. The customer service has always been so so… depending on the day… But I continue to go back and have followed them all the way to Fairburn only because of the barbecue. I don’t fool with the sides they are trash. I just get me a slab of ribs and do my own sides. You will be better off going to get Publix, Southern style, potato salad, and doing your own baked beans but ribs have always been consistent. Delicious, juicy and smoky: I will continue to go back just as long as they don’t mess up those ribs…

OMG, this is by far the best ribs I ever had. You can taste the hickory smoke and it has the ribs seasoned so good. I truly love the seasoning of these ribs. Like said before I do not like sauce on my ribs because I think you should taste the seasoning on your food, so therefore I will take the sauce on the side and the sauce from here is very good and tangy. The tang has a very big taste, so you will not go wrong with or without sauce here. If you do love sauce, you will be happy. The smoke sausage is huge and is a great piece for a leftover. Ribs, the best! BEST EVER!
