I have seen this place on my route for a while now & was always curious. Boy they sure didn’t disappoint!!! HUGE helping of food & it was all delicious!! The sauce makes it. Will definitely come back in the future!

Inside and outside is a Clean environment. I Ordered the rib tip dinner with Mac and cheese plus baked beans. The rib tips were tender. The family loved everything. My personal favorite was the sauce. I would definitely get my BBQ here again. Fair priced as well.

Service was great and the restaurant is big and spacious and clean. Initially, I was going to give 4 stars on the food because it was barely warm when I got home (I stay 7 min away), but the food was so good I forgot about it!! lol The meat was super tender, and seasoned well! The sides were regular; not bad but nothing special. And I paid $20 for everything. Def would try again.

Food is not worth the money! Food zero stars. Baked beans have no flavor! How are you a BBQ place with no Cole slaw? Potato salad no taste. Don’t waste your money. The bread was the only thing I finished eating. Will not be back!

2nd review:Just gave my second chance at this place. Still a wait when empty. This time, I just had simple questions about the menu, then I became a problem and met the negative change in attitude. Big papa, the head of the place, reacted like as if he had to deal with a rude or nasty customer. Which was nothing close. I just asked what item on the menu could feed the most people? No matter how this food tastes, I will not be giving my money to anyone who does not have a sense of appreciation for my patronage. Something is not quite right about their customer service skills. Just like attitude can make a person unattractive the same can be said for the Mustard Seed. 1st review: Wait times and no acknowledgment when you walk in the place. Rather, drive out to Fox Bros or some other place because of the wait time.

Local BBQ joint serving your typical entree favorites. Pulled pork sandwiches, ribs, chicken plates and standard sides (baked beans, greens, fries, etc) are on the menu. Surprisingly, the mac-n-cheese was good. Food overall was average. Will say I do like their mustard based sauce. Plenty of indoor seating can accommodate any party size. Looks like there is space for special events as there was a separate bar and mini faux dance floor/stage available in the dining section. Free parking in plaza.

I’ve been a customer of Mustard Seed BBQ in Fairburn for a while, but my recent visits have been really disappointing. The food freshness and quality have become inconsistent. The macaroni and cheese I got last time was extremely dry, lacked flavor, and tasted like it had been made days ago rather than being fresh. The rib tips were a letdown as well—they were mostly bone and fat, and they weren’t even cut properly. It’s frustrating to spend money and not get what you expect, especially when the last few times I’ve visited, they’ve been out of food or didn’t have what was listed on the menu. I’m not sure if I’ll be returning anytime soon if things don’t improve.

My first time trying. The order of ribs I got was plentiful but tasted and smelled slightly of lighter fluid. My friends didn't. Will give them one more try.

Go! Now, before they run out of thing! its all so good!!! This was one of my 1st bbq experiences since resuming to eat meat after years of pescatarianism. The smoke on this meat left the most memorable and tasty lingering feeling in my throat, I regretted the last yr or so of my meatless life. The smell in the car was so enchanting, I busted open the container as soon as I got home and totally forgot to take a pic. I had the rib tips, half chicken and brisket with baked beans and potato salad. The beans were clearly canned, but good. The potato salad was very much black ppl potato salad and I appreciated that. Service was friendly, easy parking, meat prepared on the spot. 100% will be returning!

This place needs to be exposed. If you are a BBQ place that offers a veggie plate and use canned veggies, you should at least warn people before they spend almost $20 on said canned veggies. I can't speak to the BBQ cause I didn't get any. Won't be going back to try it cause this is ridiculous. Do better!! How are you charging people $4 for each of these sides?!? The Mac and cheese was ok but the baked beans are basically Busch's with no seasoning, meat or anything. Collard greens are pathetic. I love fried okra but this is sad. The portion size on okra was fine so I'm not trippin. They looked me in the eye and let me order this . My people, we got to treat each other better than this.

I got the chicken plate and small ribs. The chicken was dry and looked old. The greens didn't smell right so I didn't eat them. Some of the small end ribs were also dry. I was only satisfied with the baked beans. This place used to be so good. Definitely wasn't worth the price.

We stopped here on Sunday after church and were glad we did. The young lady greeted us with a warm smile as we entered. Her customer service was top tier. The restaurant offered a very spacious dining room with adequate seating space. My church members ordered Rib Tip dinners and I ordered the Chicken Dinner with mac&cheese and collard greens. The portion sizes of the meats exceeded our expectations. The meat was perfectly seasoned and smoked. The mustard bases sauce was delicious but really wasn't needed. You can eat the meat as is. I sampled one of my church members Rip Tips and my tastebuds are begging me to go back to get them. This was my first time visiting and definitely will not be my last.

I came here based on the pictures of food on Yelp, I wanted to try the rib tips and Hickory tip loaded Baked Potato. They no longer serve baked potatoes because their suppliers potatoes got smaller....SUGGESTION, When nature yields smaller potatoes, don't give up, just double up! We ordered the rib tip dinner with fried okra and collard greens as the sides the rib tips were delicious and a very nice portion serving. Smoky flavor and tender. The sauce was surprisingly good, it has a Carolina gold vibe, hence the name Mustard Seed maybe? The sides were okay. I gave only 3 stars because in store and online they have items on the menu they no longer serve including homemade Cinnamon buns which is misleading.

Great experience service was extraordinary young lady at the counter was friendly and courteous. Food was awesome best barbecue I have tasted in a while. Meat candy.

The mustard-based BBQ sauce is incredible. I had the rib platter and my associates had the pulled pork. The ribs were delicious but not quite as tender as I prefer. The sides -- fries and green beans for me -- were tasty and served hot. My associates had very good things to say about the pulled pork as well.

I enjoyed the rib tips. The bbq sauce is mustard based and really good. I also liked the sides. I had mac and cheese and potatoe salad. The rib tip dinner plate cost over $22, which is kinda pricey, but what isn't these days. Over all I would go back to another plate..

The food is flavorful and well seasoned. The mustard bbq sauce is amazing. The portions are generous. The service is inconsistent at best. The young lady is very good but the young man is not very customer oriented. The ambiance is nonexistent so I get it to go.

Loaded baked potatoes with shrimp is great! And the okra is good as well! The Rib was pretty good as well!

So I gave this place another try and I am very glad I did. The food was amazing. I got the tip dinner with potato salad and baked beans. Everything was fresh and delicious seasoned perfectly.

Love the ribs. Whenever my family comes to visit they always take a slab or two back home with them as far as New York.

If I was rating Mustard Seed on their food alone, they'd earn 5 stars. However, 3 stars is more reflective of the whole story; the seem to be out of about 90% of their menu as the end of the day draws near. I don't even mean "5 minutes before close" end of the day, I mean 6PM. For reference, they close at 9. So their menu is VERY limited for a good chunk of the day. I could forgive even that, if I could call ahead to see what they have, but I can't even do that, because no one ever answers the phone when I call. I can't call to see what they have and what they're out of. Chancing coming here for dinner often proves disappointing when I find out that they are out of almost everything on the menu. Bottom line: the food is good, if you manage to get some.

The ribs were absolutely amazing,...I tried the mustard sauce and to my delight it was the perfect pairing to the Smokey tender meat...I also ordered the chicken and was equally delicious...

Truth be told this was my 3rd attempt at dinner for the evening so beggars shouldn't be so choosy. BUT.... I was not impressed, I ordered a veggie plate with mac & cheese, collard greens, potato salad and fried okra. I wish I could tell you how the mac & cheese was BUT I did not get any in my bag. The collard greens and the potato salad are not that great. The best part of my meal was the fried okra, it was good I just wished they didn't put salt on them because I could really taste the salt. They do ask that you wear a mask, and they have markers on the floor for you to stand for social distancing, and the young lady who took my order had on her gloves and a mask.. if I decide to come back I know I'm only getting the fried okra minus the salt.

Good BBQ, sides and hospitality. I enjoyed my ribs and ribs tip greens and beans and plan to revisit soon.

The greatest smoked rib tips, the sides have a little bit to be desired. The smoke chicken is good. The stuffed potato is great.

Their ribs are Soo good. I order from them a lot. I usually get the rib tips with the BBQ sauce on the side. Not really a fan of their baked beans but my daughter loves them. There has never been a time that I've gotten ribs from them and they weren't good.

The barbecue was excellent! I really liked the service as well. The menu had a lot of my favorites as well.

I have been to the mustard seed at least twice now. I always order the rib tip, meat only. And both time the were very good. I like their bbq sauce. I never ordered any sides so I can't tell you about them. Give mustard seed a try.

I've been following them on Facebook for a few years, so woke up this morning craving bbq and since the daughter and I both have to work on Valentines Day we decided to hit this spot up for a mother daughter bbq Valentines lunch.. My first request, is PLEASE GET SOME BRUNSWICK STEW ON THE MENU. I'm one of those people where i judge your bbq establishment by how good the Brunswick stew is. That being said, it was pretty good bbq. My daughter had the rib platter, and I had the chicken and rib platter. We were both surprised that the ribs were not on a slab, but were already cut up and portioned out on our plate. Not a bad thing, and they were some good ribs, I think we are just programmed to expect the entire slab to arrive on the table. This idea works, because its less work for you, you basically just get to eating. Only two rib bones come on the chicken and rib platter, and I had sucked the meat off the bones so fast, that I finally settled in and accepted it was mostly a chicken platter, but very tasty chicken. Each platter came with two sides, we both had the collard and mac and cheese, nothing special about either, couldn't tell if they were fresh, but I would definitely say they aren't a can or box variety. Sunday afternoon around 2pm was not busy, but not slow, there were at least four tables of people eating in, there are several TV and they have a bar, but no one was staffing the bar, not sure if Fairburn has a rule about alcohol on Sunday, or it just wasn't time for drinking and since football season if officially over, maybe people just weren't out this particular Sunday.

I can't comment on the in restaurant dining experience bc I've only ever ordered via telephone and picked up my order. I recently ordered 3 pans of chicken and 3 pans of rib tips for a housewarming party. I received a phone call notifying me when my order was ready. The meats were a huge hit at the party! Both were delicious. I especially loved the rib tips! Their mustard sauce is pretty good as well. I didn't order any sides this particular time but I have tried their sides in the past and did not enjoy them. I don't recommend their sides at all.

The young scratched her head and continued preparing food. I asked for a refund and she was extremely rude when I told her the reason. I have not gone back.

They are consistently good when they decide to open. The barbecue is good and the sauce is amazing.

The meats are delicious especially, their bbq sauce (the yellow sauce)! Omg! It's finger licking good! I'm not a fan of their sides. They need a bit more seasoning. It's a small business and the people are kind and professional but, servkce can be a bit slow bc of several orders. I recommend you call ahead and order bc ot could take 5 minutes or a half an hour wait. They will let you know what to expect.

The meat was good when I've gone, the sides were just okay. Good luck catching them open and with food, I've tried twice and they're either closed or have run out of food.

The best ribs and bbq in the city. The smoked wings are also some of the best. You can pass on the sides and just go for the meet.

The Mustard Seed BBQ is one of my boyfriend and I favorite spots to grab when we are at home. As a Memphis native I'm super picky on my bbq and since moving to Atlanta ten years ago I still miss that good bbq flavor. This spot helps to fill that need! Great ribs and the bbq sauce is awesome. One of my favorite items is the BBQ potato with pulled pork. Order it and do yourself a favor and get a bottle of the bbq sauce to take home. You're going to want to put it on everything.

I love the food at Mustard Seed. I even had my daughters graduation dinner their. They were very accommodating. The menu is great and affordable, large portions of food. If you're in a hurry or a smiley chipper crew, well this might not be the spot so take your hat of patience. The level of service varies but it's a bbq joint and sports bar! Once you smell that smoke, you'll forget all about it. You may want to order the meat and skip the sides though.

Enjoyed The Ribs!! Strange that cole slaw is not sold and I was told the peach cobbler have not been available for a long time! Will be back and hopefully peach cobbler will be available

I ordered a rib dinner from here for the first time today and I must say , I will definitely be ordering from this restaurant again ! The order came fast and they give you a huge amount to feed two and even have leftovers!

I"m actually giving 3 1/2 stars. Ribs are great but sides are not so great. Greens were ok but salty. Baked beans tasted out of can, and green beans had hardly any flavor. The mac & cheese was pretty good. This is one of the better rib places in Atlanta if you're seeking ribs off the grill taste. Most in Atlanta don't have that specific grilled taste and Mustard Seed's sauce is awesome! Unfortunately, the cost of doing business has them rationing tbe sauce now, and you can even purchase a bottle of it

I originally fell in love with there stuffed potato's. But recently tried their BBQ Rib Tips, Chicken and Rib. Everything is always delicious. Sometimes the wait time is ridiculous but the bbq always hits the spot. When ordering okra it's always fresh and hot with a nice crunch to it.

The staff at Mustard Seed handled my massive order I placed for my team at work. I placed the order the day before and arrived at 12pm as promised my order would be ready. The food better be great because the service is very very poor. No greeting asking me if I was done ordering after every item. Dirty tables while there are no customers here. I even over hear the cashier and cook talking about scrubbing the burnt off it and just give it to him. Regardless of how this food taste this is the last time this establishment will get my money.

Good: sweet tea, okra, smoked chicken wings although they were a tad bit too big for my liking, BBQ sauce Bad: menu had scratch outs and items unavailable Ugly: Mac& cheese was so dry & greens were tough.

I have been coming here for years but I'm going to have to stop. The owner expanded and it seems like he can't handle the demand. A two hour wait?!! And they are not answering the phone. Just ghetto. I paid for my food because I was already there but I have to go back in two hours to pick it up. That's a damn shame. Don't think I'll be patronizing this establishment as much as before. It's always a 30 minute wait. Like what business expects to survive like this?!?

Hickory Baked Potato w/ Rib Tips was so good! The BBQ sauce was better than I expected as the color of the sauce I'm not use to. I will definitely this restaurant recommend my family and friends. Everyone friendly with excellent customer service! Also inside was nice and clean.

This is a great place to stop in and grab a slab of ribs and rib tips for a quick and delicious bite to eat. They have a delicious sauce you can have on the side or have brushed onto the slab. Either way the ribs are great. You can eat them without the sauce at all and you'll not be disappointed.

Take out only with all precautions. The bbq rib and chicken is delicious! Well seasoned and cooked, flavorful and very moist. Love the collard greens, green beans and Mac and cheese. Haven't tried any of the other side dishes yet. The loaded potatoes are phenomenal! I've had them with chicken and rib tips. The staff is wonderfully friendly and helpful. I highly recommend!!!
