This is where you come to stuff yourself with pancakes and all other decadent breakfast items. Sure, they have a lunch menu too, but the diner excels in making pancakes.
If you get a regular table, you can at least push yourself away from the edge to accommodate your expanding belly. We were at a booth, but since my bench didn't have a table behind me, I was able to push back and make some room. We came around 10:30 am on a Sunday in January. There were a lot of people there, but our service was fantastic. Lori regularly checked on us, brought iced tea refills, and offered us things we might need.
My Eggs Benedict actually came with potatoes, but I asked if I could substitute them with pancakes. Our waitress, Lori, replied in an upbeat tone, "We're a pancake house, you can always get pancakes!". My plain stack of pancakes were delightful, and although, not really healthy, my Eggs Benedict Florentine did come with spinach, tomato, and mushrooms, so I felt a little better about pigging out.
My husband ordered the monster Western Cheddar Omelette that is made with four eggs, ham, and a slew of veggies. He also got the Banana Pecan Pancakes. He devoured that instead of the omelette, but he did manage to savor at least half of the omelette.
We waddled out of there stuffed. I'm pretty sure we won't need to eat (or want to eat) anything else for the day. Great place to enjoy a filling meal with friends and family anytime.
