"Having started at the back of the house at the Addison location on Belt Line Road in 1990, Jonathan Seyoum climbed the ranks, franchised the company in North Texas, and is now co-owner, partner, and president of Original Pancake House DFW. He and his business partner joined the Texas Restaurant Association’s Employers for Childcare Task Force because child care barriers directly affect their staff: multi-unit manager Rachael Bien recalls bringing her young children to work and laying them in a booth between shifts while she handled morning duties at the Dallas Original Pancake House, and a server named Mindy often has to bring her child in when care falls through.
