He and his business partner joined the Texas Restaurant Association’s Employers for Childcare Task Force because child care barriers directly affect their staff: multi-unit manager Rachael Bien recalls bringing her young children to work and laying them in a booth between shifts while she handled morning duties at the Dallas Original Pancake House, and a server named Mindy often has to bring her child in when care falls through.
