Where To Drink Margs That Give Back in Cincinnati | Eater

"Next to the Lonely Pine Steakhouse (a must try), the Overlook Lodge is a cozy, one of a kind spot, inspired by The Shining. It has some creepy inspo, but isn’t creepy inside, instead opting for an “apres ski” vibe. Give the dill pickle dip and rustic charcuterie a try alongside their shooting star cocktail. Don’t forget to try out the “Let’s Shot-Ski” part of the menu as the evening gets a little more exciting. Looking for more margs? Check out these other bars and restaurants serving Astral Tequila: Placebo; The Lonely Pine Steakhouse; Highball Cincy; Oddfellows; Tiki Tiki Bang Bang" - Alex Frost

My wife and I went here for drinks before going on a dinner date. The vibe was nice and the drinks were great! The decor is also really cool! We didn’t have any food so can’t speak to that but we had a good time

Google
Such a cute bar! I love the Shining theme during the majority of the year and the fact that they play 80s horror movies on the TV's, plus the drinks are all themed. The Christmas pop-up is also super cute, and even has "snow" that falls from the ceiling! But buy your tickets super early, they sell out every year!

Google
So festive! A great girls day! Our bartender was fabulous!

Google
What a wonderful experience this was! Would definitely recommend this pop-up to anyone during the holiday season. The mixed drinks were fantastic, and they had mocktails too!

Google
Fun cozy local drinking spot. Went there in Dec to see the Christmas themed decorations. What a fantastic atmosphere!! They even have a Christmas card menu of holiday tjemed drinks. Tried a couple, tho pricey, they were spot on for flavor. If you enjoy that vintage Christmas feeling, go here.

I am a recent neighbor to the Overlook lodge and the Cincinnati area. In the last 6 months we have been there about 3-4 time with our regular neighbors. Each time has been great, with the exception of tonight, New Years Eve. Around the holidays Overlook employs seasonal employees who have no obligation or accountability to the bar. On NYE overlook employees starting urging everyone to leave before their close time of 1am, not great, but fine and something anyone can deal with. What patrons cannot deal with is the treatment that came while the temporary employees were trying to shut said bar. The bar closed at 1AM on New Years Day (after a full NYE celebration). By 1:10AM the temporary staff had pushed us out of the establishment despite the pleas that we were with regulars and had spent several hundred dollars that night. By 1:15AM we were formally kicked out and asked to leave while our Uber was minutes away. Afterwards, we had police presence threatened because we stood in their stoop and a *former* employee decided to flip us off because she was upset we had not left yet (Ubers are tough on NYE!!! Shocking). Regardless, we will not be attending the Overlook Lodge any longer despite being neighborhood regulars who are passionate about local businesses and social spent hundreds of dollars tonight. Absolutely abysmal service, truly disappointed

Lance the bartender was great. So helpful and made these tasty drinks. Loved the atmosphere, will definitely be back. Please give Lance the raise and recognition he so clearly deserves.

Google
Loved everything about this cozy little horror scene. I requested a spot for 5 and was seated right away. I ordered the hatchet first and by the suggestion of our server I got the snow tracks and honestly it's the best drink I've had in quite some time. I cannot wait to return.

Yelp
It's been awhile since I've been to the Overlook Lodge. My best friend got tickets to the Miracle Pop Up event that's held here every year. It includes a shot and two drinks on the menu. This sells out fast! We got it reserved on a Saturday from 7:30 pm to 8:45 pm. When you walk in, you will definitely get into the Christmas spirit. Every inch of the place is decorated. We started off with the Naughty shot. I got the Snowball Old-Fashioned and my best friend got Rudolph's Replacement. Second round, I got the Rudolph's Replacement since I tried my friends and loved it. Nice dessert drink. It contains vodka, coffee liqueur, white crème de cacao, orange curaçao, chai syrup, almond milk, and aromatic bitters. My best friend got Yippee Ki Yay Mother Fu******. Which has different types of rum, coconut and pineapple juice. At the end they play clips from classic movies and music. Fake snow starts coming down. So much fun. At the end I bought my friend and I matching collectible mugs to take home. If you haven't experienced this, you need to.

Yelp
Overrated is the word I would use to describe Overlook Lodge. My husband and I were excited to come here because we are fans of the Shining but left disappointed. The decor does not remind me of the movie. It's suppose to be similar to the lodge in the movie but I feel like I was in a basic lodge you can find anywhere in Colorado. They do have screens playing but they only show the movie once on mute. The drinks weren't anything to rave about. Nothing looked good in my opinion so I didn't order anything. My husband said his drink was okay. I had high hopes for Overlook and I feel like it fell short. I would give it another try if others want to stop by but I may give it a pass if I was making the decision

Yelp
We had a wonderful experience here with their Miracle Pop-up bar.the bartenders whereAMAZING the drinks where incredible and let me tell you it's the first time I've ever seen snow inside a bar. This was truly an amazing night! Loved how Christmas-y this place was decorated. Definitely coming back next year

Yelp
I am a fan of anything Gorilla Cinemas does, but the Overlook is probably my favorite. I've been several times, but they recently announced they updated their motif and I wanted to check it out. Honestly, it doesn't look much different than it used to, but it leans more into the ski lodge theme. Service and cocktails are always great. We tried a few from the updated menu and they were great. The Planter's Punch is VERY booze forward, so be aware of that. Our favorite was the Singapore Sling. They have live music on weekends, trivia on Tuesdays, and fondue on Thursdays that I've been wanting to try. Overall it's a nice, cozy bar that's a perfect addition to your night out in Pleasant Ridge.
google avatar

Kathi W.

Yelp
At Christmas time this place does an amazing pop up! The rest of the year it feels like the lobby of the overlook in the movie shining. The frozen hot chocolate tasted great and was adorable. However, I was pretty disappointed that they didn't offer the fondue for two that was advertised on Thursdays. I guess it's just during the cold weather months. I hope to be able to try it this winter!

Yelp
We went to the Overlook Lodge for their Miracle at the Overlook event. I believe they said this is the 7th year for converting the bar into a Christmas bar. Under normal circumstances, it is a neighborhood bar. On this Saturday night in December, it was definitely not normal. We purchased a ticket in advance. This ticket gave us 70 minutes in the bar along with a naughty or nice shot and 2 holiday cocktails in festive cocktail glasses. The bartenders were extremely busy making cocktails from scratch. We had such fun. We decided we are going again next year. Tickets do sale out so look for them early or sign up for the mailing list to know of the events ahead of time.

Yelp
Perfect location for a drink after dinner at Lonely Pine! There are plenty of tables and comfy seating; music went live at 8 pm (it was a Saturday). A large group also had a Goodfella's pizza delivered while we were there and it looked like a good idea!

Natalie R.

Yelp
I took a friend to the Overlook this past Thursday for a drink after dinner and the female bartender was not very welcoming or pleasant. She made us feel like we were a burden. My husband and I have been going to the overlook for years and this was the first time I was not pleased with my experience. The drinks tasted amazing as always however the service and atmosphere was not what it has been in the past. Hoping to give it another try soon
google avatar

Meera K.

Yelp
Fun, rustic neighborhood bar inspired by the movie 'the shining'. The movie itself was playing when we stopped in. The bartenders are helpful and efficient. We stopped in for to-go cocktails and even in a big styrofoam cup, they tasted great! I got the 'imaginary friend' which was light and refreshing. I don't love rose flavored drinks/food but the bartender assured me the rose was simply a spray mist after the drink is made. He was not wrong, It was just a finishing and while it added to the overall cocktail, I didn't taste it, it wasn't overpowering. So if you don't like rose, don't let it stray you away from this cocktail! Definitely planning to come back to hang in the various nooks and enjoy the ambiance with a group of friends.

Yelp
Reservations are required for their Christmas season, but do it! I guarantee you will be in the holiday spirit by the time you leave. Such a fun, unique experience!! The themed cocktails were very good as well.

Yelp
I have been obsessed with the movie, The Shining, ever since I first saw it. Not only is it a great scary movie, but there's something about the Overlook Hotel that is incredibly haunting, yet intriguing. Take out the scary themes and imagine the Overlook is just a cozy ski lodge - That's what this bar feels like, and I really enjoyed it! And it's not an overwhelmingly paraphernalia-based bar, as they have made the Overlook Lodge a relaxing and welcoming place, whether you care for the movie or not. The are very unique drinks on their menu, named after things related to the film. I tried their spiced winter sangria - loved it! They have a list of draft beers and wine if you're not looking to sip on a cocktail. I can't believe it took me so long to discover this place... thanks TikTok!
google avatar

Sarah E.

Yelp
Was expecting more of a spooky vibe but still had a great time here. The cocktails are fantastic and they play old creepy movies! Love it! We went on a slow Saturday night and service was quick and the DJ was playing all my alt faves. Parking is across the street behind other buildings but not a far walk at all. I've heard that Christmas is a good time to go so I will definitely be back.
google avatar

Erik C.

Yelp
A unique bar inspired by the shining and who LOVES their horror movies. Typically bar service unless specified otherwise for special events. Some drinks are batched and others are mixed when ordered. The decor here is top notch especially if you are lucky enough to get tickets into their Christmas event.

Jess S.

Yelp
Terrible experience here. Staff was very rude and unprofessional. Manager did nothing in taking responsibility for staffs actions. Very disappointed and will not be returning. Stay away!
google avatar

Brandon C.

Yelp
I came here for the Miracle takeover and had an amazing time. They decorated every inch of the place, everyone working was wearing festive clothing, and the drinks were appropriately themed. It was exactly what I was hoping for and I'm disappointed I didn't discover it sooner. The employees were all friendly, the drinks were strong, and I enjoyed the amount of space between the tables. I can't speak to the normal bar since I'm not a big scary movie person, but I would definitely come back for the Miracle event.

Yelp
Overlook lodge has been a staple of PR for the last 5 plus years. The venue is smaller but definitely fits the bill of a truly great concept bar as this takes after the Jack Nicholson classic the Shinning. I have celebrated NYE here, and also Overlook hosts a grear Christmas time themed event that you have to see to experience for yourself. The cocktails and pricing are fair for what you expense out. Also the same owners of this property own The Lonely Pine steakhouse next door! Highly recommended! Cheers
google avatar

Angela E.

Yelp
It was my first time here and I really enjoyed it. The bartenders made me feel very welcome by "joshing" me on my drink order... I can't belive they don't make a Bee's Knees on the regular!!! Either way, Brandon and Lance were both very friendly and fun!
google avatar

Jess C.

Yelp
One of my favorite local watering holes! I absolutely love the bartenders and the atmosphere here. They usually have live music and movies playing on the TV. Great little spot for date night. Bathrooms are tiny but clean. The patio is by far my favorite. Summer is here and you can find me there! Street parking out front.
google avatar

Megan F.

Yelp
A nice neighborhood spot! We went around 8 on a Friday night and got a seat inside. (Hint: there's patio seating in the back!) you have to order at the bar! We tried four of the house cocktails and they were all amazing! There was also live music that which added to the experience! Great place to go with a group or for a drink at the bar!
google avatar

Jill G.

Yelp
Cool DJ spinning beats and our bartender Brandon is so good. Handcrafting it all! Great space with fun conversation areas. Happy hour $5 cocktails are on point!
google avatar

Leslie W.

Yelp
Very quaint with a lodge theme straight from The Shining. There was plenty of taxidermy on the walls. The bench seating was very comfortable and the lighting was some of the coolest I've seen in a bar. I would say the hipster quotient on this spot was pretty high but happily there was a diverse crowd inside. Live, acoustic guitar music when we arrived. Made conversation hard as others were yelling to be heard over music. Unfortunately, the patio closed at midnight (on weekend) even though bar was open later. We decided to leave and find a quieter spot since we couldn't partake of the outdoor space. I loved my cocktail, My Grind Tony. It was a blend of cachaca, banana liqueur, and cinnamon simple syrup. Perfect for an almost-fall but still summer night. They have a half dozen type of snack mixes from Asian to S'mores to go with your drinks. I chose the Bourbon Street which was sweet and salty including sesame sticks, cheese sticks, nuts ... So good!

Yelp
I visited Overlook a lil while ago because my friend loooves The Shining. If you are a fan too, you should visit this. I'm not much into it, so I wasn't getting the Easter eggs across this place. The vibe is very spooky and there's some horror movie constantly on over the big screens. Some might enjoy that experience. I wasn't a fan. The cocktails are pretty good and themed. My friend and I each had one and they were both really good. Their menu options are really interesting and I might return just for that.

Yelp
Great Theme Bar! Great customer service And Awesome crafted cocktails. Just love the envionment.

Yelp
I came here last Friday for the Miracle Bar. It was great! The decorations were on point!! I loved that the staff dressed up as well to be in the holiday spirit. I loved the themed menu for drinks to go along with the décor. I was there for 2 hours and ordered the "Nice" shot both times. I ordered the Elfing Around, Christmapolitan, and 2 of my favorite: Yippie Ki Yay Mother F***ER. I loved the glassware that the drinks came in. My favorite drink came in a mug shaped like Santa's behind - absolutely hysterical! I saw another drink come in a T-Rex and another that came with a Koala! The music was festive and the falling snow was perfect! I had a wonderful time!!
google avatar

Ken H.

Yelp
Very cool place. Small but cool. They have very good and unique cocktails as well as a small draft beer selection. HUGE bourbon selection. This is a place to have one or two cocktails and move on unless you have the extra money to pay the high prices.

Yelp
Our first time visiting Overlook Lodge because we wanted to check out the Christmas pop up they have going on this winter. You walk into the joint and the Christmas spirit slaps you in the face! You got the old school Christmas lights, Elf playing on the tv, a black Santa to greet you, and a festive Christmas cocktail menu. We arrived at 7pm on a Friday and was pleased to find seats without an issue. It's sit yourself so make sure you stag a seat as soon as you get there because it will get busy. About 8pm, the bar was packed and about 9pm, there was a line outside the door to get it. Keep that in mind. The menu is full of festive cocktails all ranging from $11-12 dollars. Tip: You can buy the mugs that the drinks come in! I ordered the Snowball Old Fashion and my wife ordered the Eggnog drink. We both enjoyed our drinks very much but only ended up getting one round due to not feeling like spending 50 bucks on 4 drinks. So throw on your Santa hat, get in the spirit, enjoy an x-mas cocktail (or two, ya big baller!) and enjoy!
google avatar

Ken S.

Yelp
Great food and ambiance! Their special drink is awesome! I will return when in town. Great service . Our anniversary that night .

Alyson L.

Yelp
I was looking to get the Christmas experience tickets when I stumbled upon emo night. I hadn't tapped into my inner emo since high school and thought it could be fun. I dragged my husband and a few friends along telling them just to trust me. This night was everything we didn't know we needed!!! We had a blast! Dj Dad's energy was perfect, we didn't want it to end! Dare I say it was almost therapeutic!? One of my friends is going through a break up and it was the perfect way to get some frustration out and still have a blast. I hope that this is something that they will continue to do. It almost felt like we were 16 again until the next morning when every joint hurt and had no voice. There's a little emo in all of us

Vee O.

Yelp
One of the best bars in Cincinnati! Great cocktails and conversation with a cozy lounge feel reminiscent of The Stanley Hotel in The Shining movie.
google avatar

Amanda M.

Yelp
Great atmosphere for just hanging out. The drinks are good and creative. There is no real food, so don't look for snacks.
google avatar

Scott L.

Yelp
Not sure about the hype. Yes, there was, "The Shining" theme in decor. There was the regional, typically poor, wine offering, and there was overpriced munchies; Asian Mix, bland and stale. Bartender was aloof, spending her time on her phone. Music seemed non-existent? I can only guess that 20-somethings reviewed this place and gave it a good happy hour rating. Sadly, they have only proven that the "happy hour" is extinct!
google avatar

Jack G.

Yelp
Great neighborhood bar for meeting friends. Has a theme from the movie The Shining. Watched the Bengals game on Sunday with family. Great bartender/manager Tina who took great care of everyone. There's an outdoor area for smoking etc. very clean rest rooms too. No food available but there are several restaurants nearby and you can bring food in. Nice bunch of regulars here too. Going back on Sunday to watch the AFC CHAMPIONSHIP. WHO DEY!!!
google avatar

Kimberly M.

Yelp
I love The Overlook Lodge! I've stopped in here on a couple of occasions and really enjoyed myself. I came during their Mardis Gras celebration in 2016 and was super impressed at how a relatively small space was able to throw a fun and inclusive party. Most, recently I attended their Tuesday Night trivia and had a great time. It was super low key and no frills which is very appealing. This joint is themed after The Shining, which is a really clever idea. There are room keys on the wall, as well as playful hatchet decor. Speaking of hatchets, The hatchet is one of their playful themed drinks (it also happens to be my favorite). It consists of tequila, ginger, lime, Spanish spices and ginger beer. A fun play on a mule, and very tasty. Their bartenders are very fun and add to the atmosphere.

Yelp
Please consistently and accurately update your hours. Your website says 2 different times depending on what page you're on, and your Yelp says something different entirely. We'd love to visit, but we need to plan ahead to go out of our way.

Yelp
I absolutely LOVED the Overlook Lodge. I had heard about it so often in the past, and all about it's décor being a straight up homage to "The Shining" and I knew this was a place I had to check out. The night I was there I went to check out a band that was playing. They have live music every weekend, and the quality of bands they get to perform here is really high. But yeah, everything about this place I liked. Since it's the holiday season the place was fully decked out in Christmas décor..so much so that I couldn't really see the Shining aspects of it..but regardless it was really cool. The night I was there they were playing "Die Hard" on their TVs. Ha..what a great Christmas movie to have on in the background! So much fun. The drinks here were a little pricey..but honestly I didn't even care. They were really good and really inventive. I tried a couple of cocktails off of their Christmas themed menu. Started off with the "Christmapolitan"..a holiday take on a cosmopolitan with cranberry sauce thrown in. It was quite tasty! Next I tried the "Bad Santa"..this drink was served hot and really hit the spot. It tasted like a warm tea version of a cocktail if that makes any sense..ha. I ended my night with a "And a Partridge in a Pear Tree". It was..interesting..but in a good way! The flavor combos they threw in this thing were really unique. If you're feeling adventurous I would definitely recommend it. And I also have to say even tho these drinks were a bit pricey, they were strong, so it was all good. The atmosphere here is really nice and cozy. The staff I interacted with were all friendly and personable. And the band was awesome! Oddly OK was their name. They played great and their show was so much fun and so entertaining. I would definitely recommend checking them out if you get the chance. So yes. I loved this place. Everything was great. Can't wait to go back!

Tiffany S.

Yelp
This is one of our favorite places. The music is pretty good and I love the pickle shot!!!! Where did that dog that bit ya go?!?!?

Valerie R.

Yelp
When my husband and I decide to have a nice cocktail out rather than staying in, this is our go to bar. The bartenders are always very friendly and the drinks are always delicious! I am a sucker for a cocktail with fancy ingredients served in a fancy glass and this place never disappoints. We usually take all of our visiting guests here and often our repeat guests like to ensure we can squeeze it in when they are visiting now! Actually, now that I think about it, it has been a moment since we have been back... We will be sure to come around again soon! :)
google avatar

Leah S.

Yelp
I had been itching to try this place once I learned it was owned by the same people that run Video Archive. Arrived on a Thursday to a pretty empty bar, but the staff was really friendly. I got to try the new Spring menu and absolutely loved everything! Tried several shots (the Traveler was my favorite) and a few drinks (the Graveyard is yummy) and even did the ski shot which is hilarious! I loved this place and can't wait to go back to hopefully become a room 237 regular! Oh and try the s'mores trail mix, to die for!
google avatar

Yelp
If you're a fan of The Shining, Overlook Lodge is a must visit. If you're not a fan of The Shining, Overlook Lodge is still a must visit. The "rustic watering hole" pay homage to the Stephen King classic with the decor throughout. If I were Jack Nicholson, Overlook Lodge would be a GREAT spot to begin terrorizing my family...and enjoying some delicious cocktails while I'm at it. The weekends tend to bring live music and a decent crowd. There is limited seating that fills up quickly, but I've never seen it packed to the brim (though I'm sure it happens). The back patio is also a great area to enjoy your libations on a nice day. Whenever I find myself in Pleasant Ridge, I'll be sure to swing by Overlook Lodge.
google avatar

Nene B.

Yelp
Holiday edition: This place was decked out as a Christmas pop up shop and it was amazing! I learned that it gained its name and normal decoration from the movie, the Shining. My coworkers and I got together here today and the theme did not disappoint. They decked the halls and it even smelled like pine! Although I don't drink alcohol, the holiday drink menu was nothing short of what you'd imagine to find at the North Pole. It was tempting even to me! The drinks weren't expensive and it was pretty spacious. The bartender wasn't friendly or full of holiday cheer, so I deducted a point for that. Parking is always tricky on that strip of Montgomery Rd, too so be prepared to park by the beauty school and walk a bit! Get here soon, before the pop up shop goes away!
google avatar

Darwin P.

Yelp
Friendly, well-lit, clean and clever neighborhood place for drinks. Their signature cocktails are great and they have a good selection of beers. Some of the exhibits related to The Shining are amusing, for sure.
google avatar

Rebecca K.

Yelp
A fantastic addition to Pleasant Ridge from the creative mind of Jacob Trevino! Themed after the movie "The Shining" (it's, ya know, #ThatShiningBar), it feels like you just stepped inside a ski lodge! You'll be able to catch the storefront by the huge sign with script from the movie, and if you're lucky you'll walk in on a night when they're playing the movie, too. The cocktail list is even themed after the movie from Writers Block to Here's Johnny, but the list rotates with the seasons so make sure you go often! They also have twin shots, ranging from your basic breakfast shot and pickle shot to the "Irish" shot which involves cream soda and whipped cream. (I avoid Jameson at almost all costs, but I had to try this one, and it is actually pretty good!) There is also local beers on tap and some unique snack mixes available if you're hungry! What if I told you that this theme bar has even more themes happen in it throughout the year??? That's right. Themes for everything! My favorite is when they decorate for Christmas. It's like Christmas threw up inside. It really is a must-see! The Overlook also throws themed trivia nights and also participates in the bar crawls happening in the Ridge. Definitely worth a stop in any day of the week!
google avatar

Tanner D.

Yelp
I want to love this bar, it's a short walk from me, I love the theme, I love other venues by this ownership group (Lonely Pine is my favorite steak in the city sorry Ruby's) but I feel like every visit is just a bit off. My perspective is that the bar is still trying to find its mojo and identity. There's nothing wrong with the drinks, it just doesn't feel like a bar that's being true to itself.
google avatar

Joe Y.

Yelp
An ideal cocktail bar in Pleasant Ridge for a night out, alone or with a group. Themed after The Shining, Overlook Lodge is an aesthetic treat if, and that's a very heavy if, that's your scene. David Lynch, Stanley Kubrick, and their like are given a heavy rotation on the TVs above the bar, but a lot of the selection seems to hinge on the whims of whoever's bartending at the time, which means you could just as likely see whatever movie has come to Netflix most recently, or a classic 80's sports film. The beer selection is a strong start, with a selection of domestic lagers along with the token craft offerings from the big two of Cincinnati brewing, Rhinegeist and MadTree. The real magic of Overlook Lodge, however, is their inspiring cocktail menu, some of which you must try to believe. Overall, between the barroom itself and the corral-like back porch, Overlook Lodge is a quiet, contemplative, neighborhood bar with an intriguing theme to have a few drinks. It's one of the few bars that I'd feel comfortable reading a book in. The exception here is the Tuesday Trivia night, when the Lodge explodes into a crowded, loud morass of quizmasters and contestants, which is, in itself, a different kind of pleasure.
google avatar

Lauren J.

Yelp
Another spot that has been on my list to visit longer than I'd like to admit! Overlook Lodge is a cool hangout to grab drinks with friends. Inspired by Steven Kings The Shining. Being that is my ultimate favorite horror movie, they won me at the door! The decor has a twist of various things from the movie and photos of Jack Torrance (Jack Nicholson) himself! I enjoyed the RedRum Returns, which was a perfect refreshment on a hot summer night. We chatted with the bartender about the bar. She told us a lot about the inspiration as well as about the cocktail variety. She was super nice and really seemed to love Overlook Lodge. They also have a cute patio in the back, but given the super hot day we didn't get to enjoy that as much. Can't wait to take friends for the next happy hour!

Yelp
Okay, so, I've never seen the Shining. Maybe that would change things. Maybe I would understand all of the details and touches that are a nod to the classic movie. But you know what? I hands-down LOVE this bar. Even without understanding the references. Super chill environment. I stumbled into this place after having dinner at Nine Giant next door and I am so glad I did. It happened to be trivia night, and I immediately was hooked. I wanted to be a part of the crowd. It had a bunch-of-friends-getting-together vibe. The trivia hosts made you feel like they've known you forever. Absolutely loved that. The drinks- I am addicted to the Writer's Block. Very nice craft cocktails and the bartenders really know what they're doing. And they are super friendly and approachable on top of that. Also- love the idea of having trail mix snacks available. We've returned several times for trivia night with our group of friends and have tried every trail mix on the menu. S'mores seems to be the group favorite (also I think we've developed a snacking problem..). If you're looking for a chill, cozy atmosphere with great craft cocktails, check this place out.

Yelp
Tuesday night is trivia. We had a great time. The bar is just that. No food but allows you to bring in what you want and several nearby restaurants that you can order and bring in.

Yelp
Nice cute place on Montgomery Rs close to Silverton. As a bonus you can order food from a nice restaurant next door. The lonely pine. Great selection of drinks. Plus liked the chaser drink selection. TVs were playing some real real real bloody movie, was just kind weird to play that and try not to watch. But very nice good prices and good service. Enjoy

Yelp
I love this place for many reasons! I would say the most notable is the quality of their specialty cocktails, which are easily found on the cocktail menus you find at the bar. They've recently updated the menu and I tried a couple of the new drinks including the Gunslinger made by Ian, who is also a wonderful bartender! The atmosphere is definitely worth mentioning, the subtle homage to The Shining is very tastefully done. There's plenty of seating for most nights, I've seen this place get pretty busy on the weekends. They have live music nights and so far, the music is pretty good. I also really appreciate going into a bar that plays horror movies on their TVs!! It's always nice going here, the staff seems like they love what they do and they do a great job taking care of customers.
