"The Palm in Beverly Hills has closed. The iconic steakhouse, which defined an era of power lunching and glamorous dining, opened in 1975 in West Hollywood before moving to Canon Drive near Dayton Way in 2014." - Mona Holmes

"Though we'll forever mourn the closing of the original Palm in West Hollywood, the Beverly Hills location is a nice consolation. The cavernous dining room is a great spot for big, spendy company dinners that involves tomahawk ribeyes and veal chops, but the best time to come here is actually during lunch. This is when they roll out their "Power Lunch" menu, a three-course meal for $29 that includes an appetizer, entree, and dessert. Springing for the six-ounce filet is an extra $15, but considering you're eating lunch on Canon Drive, it's an excellent value. Plus, it comes bathed in their famous brandy peppercorn sauce. Honestly, the food was pretty average barring the lobster bisque. A friend recommended this restaurant, saying it was her favorite restaurant, so my partner and I checked it out for a special occasion. On the bright side, our servers were wonderful and even gave us a complimentary cheesecake to celebrate our occasion! That was very kind. I may have just ordered the wrong thing (the chicken parmigiana), but it was notated as one of their popular dishes so I suppose a little disappointment is warranted considering the Palm's prices and general prestige. My partner enjoyed his burger, though!

I recently had the pleasure of dining at the Palm Restaurant in Beverly Hills, and I must say that it exceeded my expectations in every aspect. From the moment we walked in, we were greeted with warm hospitality and attentiveness by the staff. First and foremost, I would like to commend Jeff, the manager, for doing an outstanding job in ensuring that everything ran smoothly throughout our visit. His attention to detail and commitment to customer satisfaction were truly remarkable. He made us feel welcomed and ensured that our dining experience was nothing short of exceptional. Now, let's talk about the food! The Palm Restaurant truly knows how to deliver top-notch cuisine. The steak and lobsters were cooked to perfection, tender and flavorful. Each bite was a true delight! The creamed spinach was creamy and rich, complementing the main course perfectly. The onion rings were crispy and packed with flavor, while the house-made chips were a fantastic side option. The service was impeccable, with the waitstaff being attentive, knowledgeable, and always ready to assist. Our glasses were never empty, and the timing of each course was spot-on. The overall atmosphere of the restaurant was elegant and sophisticated, making it an ideal spot for a special occasion or a memorable night out. I highly recommend the Palm Restaurant in Beverly Hills to anyone seeking a remarkable dining experience. Whether you're a steak lover or a seafood enthusiast, their menu offers a variety of delectable options that will satisfy even the most discerning palate. With Jeff at the helm, you can rest assured that your visit will be a memorable one. Thank you, Palm Restaurant, for an unforgettable evening of outstanding food, exceptional service, and a warm and welcoming atmosphere. I will definitely be returning soon!

Google
Our party of four had a wonderful dinner at the BH Palm recently. Food was outstanding and service overwhelmingly exceeded our expectations. Layers of servers doted on us the entire meal which began with warm fresh bread of various types. Notable this bread starter was complimentary which is refreshing as so many upscale restaurants now charge for what used to be universally free of charge. The lobster bisque was to die for. Check out the pics for further detail. Highly recommended, we will definitely return!

We got seated outside on sidewalk shortly after arriving with no reservation. My wife had the Power Lunch Special with lobster bisque and 6 oz center cut filet and green beans. I had grilled chicken sandwich with avocado and bacon and came with French fries. The meals were flavorful and delicious! The server was attentive and friendly!

Google
The servers were really nice. Jumbo shrimp cocktail was really big and tasty but slightly overcooked. We had high hopes for the signature Tomahawk Ribeye, but the steak was very fatty and disappointing. Half of the pieces were not really edible. Seasonal black truffle gnocchi was a waste of money and I could only taste flour and bread crumbs.

Google
I visited the palm at the end of last March and had a wonderful time. I went for a late lunch with a friend following quite a long night and had the opposite of a light lunch but it was worth every calorie😎 We had the veal martini, linguini & clam sauce, green beans, scalloped potatoes, and the king crab risotto. Like I said, not a light lunch. The portions were enormous and the food was rich and delicious. The risotto was full of crab and honestly the leftovers were almost better than the meal when it came out! Even after all that we ended with the carrot cake which was super rich but good. Definitely share it. Also I have to give props to our server. He was hilarious and gave us his long and terrifying rendition of getting covid. Even after he remained kind, positive, attentive and just sort of kept it very real. Recommend for an indulgent meal.

Yelp
Excellent food and service! This is a steakhouse and everything is a la carte. Expect a hefty bill and just enjoy! We both ordered the Filet medium rare, very generous size. Flavorful and done perfectly! For starters I had the Caesar Salad, amazing, and my friend ordered Lobster Bisque, also amazing. We shared a side of mashed potatoes and finished up with Key Lime pie for dessert! I make Key Lime pie and very picky! This one measured up to my bar! We both went home with leftovers that reheated well for lunch! When you get 2 meals out of one, makes the cost seem worth it! Our server was very attentive. Made sure our waters were refreshed. Checked on us after we tasted each course. We started at the bar before dinner. Cocktails were excellent with average prices (no Happy Hour). Bartender was very attentive and m8xed great drinks! Lots of great wines by the glass 9n their menu, a bit on the pricey side but offering high end wines. Parking was a breeze with the Valet right out front (turn into the parking structure). It was a cold night with rain in the forecast so very happy to use the Valet. We had to laugh because when we arrived the price was $13 and at pick up the sign changed to $15. Again average price for BH. I am not sure if you can self park in this structure or not. There is a Public structure in the next block, but not for a cold rainy night for us two SoCal girl! Definitely coming back!

Yelp
Spent NYE here and loved it. The friendliness and professionalism of the staff here was amazing and honestly another reason why I'll be coming back here. Service got a little slow sometimes, but wasn't too bad. Drinks were great & food was okay. Got the Lobster Bisque but wasn't really a fan. Other than that, I will be coming back again!

Yelp
Came to The Palm on a Monday night for a friend's birthday. Restaurant was pretty quiet overall, but I'm not surprised since it was Monday after all. Classic dim-lit steakhouse vibes for sure. The service was amazing. Kora took great care of us throughout our dining experience and the support staff also ensured all of our needs. Let's talk food baby! Okay, overall I would say that I'm underwhelmed for the price I payed, but there are a few items that stuck out to me! First off, the complimentary bread was killer, especially the sourdough! Crabmeat cocktail was good, but nothing out of the ordinary; however, the horseradish in the cocktail sauce was bomb! Loved the kick it added to the cocktail sauce. I ordered the 16 oz Prime Ribeye upon Kora's suggestion and it did not disappoint. It was perfectly med-rare and it had just the right amount of char. Finally the Black Truffle Gnocchi is no joke, I would come back, sit at the bar, order a cocktail and the gnocchi and call it a night. So definitely try that dish! Overall a nice experience and the birthday boy enjoyed himself, so all is well.

Yelp
The ambiance is nice. Dim lighting, feels upscale. The people working there are nice, even though it kind of took a while to get my first meal. Now the food... is the main reason why I am leaving this review. We made the mistake of having amazing food at 208 the night before, so we expected this place to live up to similar expectations. However that wasn't the case. The bread they put out on the table tasted exactly like something from the grocery store. It was dry and tasted like it was a couple days old. For a place with FOUR dollar signs I expected to have fresh, homemade bread. And even if this bread was homemade... it's pretty embarrassingly bad. We ordered the lobster ravioli to start. This was the only meal with a great flavor profile and has solid chunks of lobster in it. Definitely a win! I was deciding between the chicken parmesan and the salmon dish. The waitress advised me to pick the chicken over the salmon because of the portion size. I took her advice and wow, the portion size was HUGE. A+ on the size! Now for the TASTE... it was pretty disappointing, nothing special at all. Two ultra-flat pieces of chicken covered in marinara and doused in cheese with a side of spaghetti that looked like it was sitting out for a while. The chicken breading seemed thicker than the actual chicken so it felt like I was just eating flat nothing, and the actual chicken just tasted like it was pulled out of a freezer and heated up. I always feel bad about sending the food back because I had already told the waitress I liked the food (when I didn't, yes my fault- but I am NOT PICKY). Anyway, I sent it back, got the salmon instead... THE SALMON ... honestly what was the chef thinking? The salmon was undercooked, and I was informed of this prior to ordering that it's on the rare side, I just thought "whatever it can't be that bad." When I got it, the presentation was nice, but all the flavors together tasted like salmon on an olive pizza. SUPER disappointing!!! It was too undercooked, and by that time it was already late and i wasn't going to send another meal back. I hate wasting food, and I needed the protein, so I ate the salmon even though the texture made me uncomfortable. I informed the manager and he took off the chicken parmesan which was nice. But I won't come back here. This quality of food is like eating something from the grocery store, seriously. The chef needs to step it up with the flavor profiles, especially this being a restaurant with FOUR DOLLAR SIGNS in BEVERLY HILLS!!!

Martin B.

Yelp
I had a reservation and confirmed a booth. I called to increase my reservation from 2 to 3 The manager Rodrigo was totally inflexible and could care less! Last time I will never go there again!

Janet K.

Yelp
Food:5/5 Ambiance:5/5 Service: 5/5 Came for my birthday and had a positive experience. The chicken parmesan was HUGE! It was so good!! But I want to say that the chocolate cake they gave for my birthday was THE BEST CHOCOLATE CAKE I EVER HAD! I won't shut up about it. I'm not even a chocolate cake fun but I AM NOW ever since I tried their chocolate cake. Honestly, I would come back just for the cake. It was that good. It wasn't a lame sad looking piece of chocolate cake. It was a big slice of chocolate cake with the richest fudge you ever tried and you will dream about it for the rest of your life!!

Crissy G.

Yelp
Lunch was absent delicious. We both ordered the fish with stuffed crab and loved it .

Imane L.

Yelp
Great ambiance. Kind service. And the food tastes very clean and savory! I wish I took a pic of the lobster bisque to share on here. It was sooo good!

Marley S.

Yelp
A pleasant surprise! When we made reservations for The Palm I was underwhelmed by the menu. But once I sat and ordered I was very pleased. I ordered the Crab Cake for appetizer and the Shrimp Sauté for dinner. For shared sides we ordered garlic mash, mushrooms, and asparagus. Everything was sooo delicious. The restaurant is small and intimate but this allowed for great service. The staff was very attentive.

Charles G.

Yelp
Closed permanently. Not really a surprise. It was virtually empty every time I dropped by, and the food has been going downhill for years. A shame as I had many wonderful meals at the original Palm in NYC decades ago.

Yelp
Visited this restaurant last night and had a great time. I went with a group of friends and even though we were running late the restaurant accommodated us without issue. The restaurant was pretty busy but not very loud which was great. We had a great waitress who was very helpful. I had a margarita which was decent. I ordered a Caesar salad and the lobster bisque. I only wish the soup was heated more, it was pretty cold. Small position for the price but there was a decent amount of lobster in it. I did have to add salt and pepper because it was lacking. The salad was decent, nothing to write home about. I do wish they jazzed it up some. It was pretty classic but the dressing was lacking. I also had to add salt and pepper. I also had some garlic mashed potatoes and they were definitely not from powder. A friend ordered the chicken parm and she enjoyed it but it came without pasta which I though was odd. Two friends split the lobster and lobster gnocchi. They said the lobster was fresh and the gnocchi was yummy. Overall I had a great time, will return to try steak!

Yelp
This update to my review after I was contacted by the GM of the Palm. I did not expect the call and was very surprised for as you can see I don't leave many reviews. Anyway, after a short conversation he invited me back as their guest with a very generous store credit towards the meal. Not to go on and on but I plan to visit the restaurant next month when I get back in town. And I would be remiss if I didn't post at least something to state how impressed I am with them to make such a generous offer. This is great customer service which to me is always the 2nd most important aspect of a restaurant after the taste & quality of the meal.

Paul V.

Yelp
AVOID AT ALL COSTS. This place has gone significantly downhill since moving to its new location and my recent experience here will be my last. The food is terrible and overpriced (in fact the server joked that we shouldn't eat here and instead just get a drink and go to Mastro's across the street). We tried to order several items that were on the menu and were told they would not make them for us (at 5:30PM how are you unable to make a simple dish such as a meatball???). The "chef" even came out of the kitchen and made some snarky remarks to our party about how he would not make us a meatball. Then after the meal the server gave us the run around on using loyalty points on our meal (we've brought a lot of clients here in the past...never again). We were so upset with the visit we called the next day and Jeff (apparently the manager) was incredibly rude an insinuated that if we didn't like it then we shouldn't come back. Take their own server's advice and just go to Mastro's.

Leslie M.

Yelp
Went here for Thanksgiving dinner. The turkey dinner was nothing to write home about. The turkey and the stuffing was kinda dry and the whole traditional turkey plate a little sad. But the steak with blue cheese crust was awesome and the three cheese au gratin potatoes were awesome as well. And gotta love a (very tiny) slice of Junior's cheesecake from Brooklyn. BTW the most excellent espresso! If you are a Landry's Club Member, you get reward points here.

M B.

Yelp
The food is just mediocre. But worth trying once. I didn't have the steak. I had the lobster and it had a ton of meat no flavor. Sad that such a big lobster wasn't a pleasure to eat. It was fine as a general rule. Service was good.

Armond V.

Yelp
The Palm Beverly Hills is a good steakhouse. There is a great selection of steaks and other dishes for those who prefer something different. The appetizers, salads and side dishes were all fresh and tasty. Our server was very attentive and provided an excellent service.

Yelp
5/14/2020 #ThankYouThursday to The Palm for Keeping open while practicing safety measures by wearing face masks, gloves and social distancing to continue operations for takeout and curbside pickup because I can't live without your fantastic lunch special during the week, your location is steps away from me at The Montage in our 90210 neighborhood. Thank You! The Palm restaurant Beverly Hills is a restaurant that offers classic American cuisine. It's on Canon Drive steps from The Montage hotel. Have dined here many times as well as the one located in downtown LA. When I want a substantial salad and a cocktail, One of my favorite is the signature 'gigi' salad half portion which has an assortment veggies and shrimp. It tastes similar to a Cobb but lighter dressing. Along with a chilled glass of wine, it's perfect and leaves room for dessert, like the flourless chocolate raspberry cake, yummm. This restaurant is very nice and appropriate for meeting clients for business lunch/dinner meetings. Often see notable celebrities dine here, it's less of a circus atmosphere than other restaurants. The staff are professional nice and attentive. Worth a

Yelp
Celebrated a birthday lunch. We all ordered the lunch specials which is a 3 course meal. We all chose lobster bisque which was very peppery and very heavy cream. Not the best I've had but just ok. Everyone got the filet mignon except for me. Mistake. I got the red snapper. It was just ok and a little bland. The spinach it came with was very good. My husband shared his steak with me and it was delicious. He agreed that the snapper was just ok. For sides we ordered creamed spinach which my husband loves but for me it was just ok. Mushrooms were good and instead of green beans the steaks should come with the mushrooms. The black truffle oil gnocchi were perfection! Just like I eat in Italy. The sides were all extra but worth it. Last part of the course were the donuts. I like the presentation in the bag but wished the waiter left them in the bag. Instead he shook the bag and let them roll onto the plate. The sauces are whipped cream, dark chocolate, salty caramel and raspberry. I only liked the raspberry. The donuts called zeppens were nothing special. I wouldn't order them again. For 4 people total was $277 including tax and tip. I don't feel it was worth the money. The waiter was just ok. Had no sense of humor and forgot our bday boy after we told him twice it was his bday. He did bring a little cup with whipped cream and a candle in it but by then it was too late. The man that sat us was great and I wish he was our waiter. There's no parking or valet at this location for lunch. Overall the experience was just an experience. I wouldn't go back or recommend to anyone.

Shauna M.

Yelp
The food, service and ambiance were 5 star! My family and I came for Easter Dinner and had a lovely experience! I recommend that you visit at least once. You won't be disappointed!

Timothy S.

Yelp
Hands down the best chicken parm around. I've been dining at The Palm since it was on Santa Monica Blvd in weho- and it's still beyond amazing. If you're craving nig chicken parm don't sleep on The Palm. Amazing

Yelp
Whenever I see a Palm restaurant I make a point to go, food is always on point. Last night the food was ALMOST outdone by bad service. Not sure what was going on with my girl Crystal F but she would disappeared for long periods of time. I actually saw her mixing drinks behind the bar, not sure how you can give attentive service and mix drinks? my water glass was empty more than it was full. NOT the service level I'm accustomed to getting. In the end I also got a bill with an error, which was apropos for the night. Luckily the food remains legendary! The Iceberg Wedge is always solid and the 9oz filet was a perfectly tender piece of meat, so good. I was not a big fan of the brandy peppercorn sauce, maybe just my taste preference. The table (my family) also loved the brussels sprouts, crab cakes, and the bacon wrapped scallops. I like the ambiance of this Palm, fairly simple and dark. I sat near the bar and enjoyed watching Washington take game #1 in the NLCS versus St. Louis. The night was not a total loss, I enjoyed the company, the food, and the baseball.

Young C.

Yelp
We dined at The Palm only because we received a gift card (thank you J&J!). We used the occasion of our Mom's birthday to use the gift card. Our reservation was at 5pm but arrived at 4:35pm to find the entire restaurant empty and remained empty till about 5:30-5:45pm. Service: The service we received was VERY SUBPAR. We had to keep looking around for our waiter. Our steak came out room temperature and they had missed the brandy peppercorn sauce we had paid extra for and they also forgot to bring out 2 of the 3 sides we ordered. We had to ask for them repeatedly. Food: There were 5 of us so we decided to go family style. Our family consists of generally small people so we thought - ok, let's share a 32oz Tomahawk Ribeye ($120!!!). Except the bone was about 24 oz and left us with 12oz of steak to share. The bone was MUCH larger than the steak and extraordinarly thin compared to the bone. We all got ONE slice of steak. It also did not come out hot nor with all our sides. Same goes for the side of mushrooms. It did not come out of the kitchen hot. They also forgot the rest of our sides which were the garlic mashed potatoes (which you can barely taste the garlic) and the half and half (chips and onion rings). We received these all separate from eachother. We also had to ask for each of them even though we had ordered them altogether. In addition to the above, we ordered the crab cocktail and a dozen oysters. These two items were the highlights of the restaurant which is sad. They both dont require cooking. We also ordered the salmon which was okay. Would not dine here again. They also peddled their rewards program to us 2 times. Go to Lawry's. They never disappoint.

Roberta D.

Yelp
We are big fans of the Palm - Beverly Hills. A lovely old school steakhouse. They exceed expectations on all levels, service, food and ambiance. Fantastic Steaks and Lobsters, not to mention their Crab Cakes! Thanks for so many wonderful experiences, all these years!!

Brian B.

Yelp
Atmosphere, cozy and traditional. Burger was ok, the fries were recycled, for sure not freshly made and over salted. Shrimp risotto, EXTREMELY over salted and didn't have that fresh seafood taste. Chicken parmigiana, just ok -- but not for $38. The only great think was the chocolate cake, I give it an A, though the whipped cream kinda sucked. Oh yeah, the waitress did faces when I asked for different more crispy fries, I mean mushy fries is a sin in my book...and that was the service in a nutshell! Next time, will go to Mastros across the street! Btw, a note to the management: if you are is steakhouse in BH and you are getting 3.5 stars on Yelp, maybe you wanna start making drastic changes and improving every aspect of the dinning experiment!

Frank S.

Yelp
My veal parmigiana looked like DOG FOOD . The gratin potatoes was liquified by over creamy.. bread was vulgar and cheap. French fries was better in a fast food. Lobster soup could be from a can with added fresh lobsters pieces ... i wonder now . Felt like a ripoff in my opinion . Whats the one star for ?

Mary S.

Yelp
Out service was on point Alexandro was extremely nice and attentive. Everything came out nice warm and tasty. We had clams and oysters. The Chicken Parmigiana, Chilean Sea Bass, Filet Mignon, Rib Eye Steak were all great. Eric also had the Key Lime pie with blueberry. Over all we were very happy with our meal. We even sat in a private room for 6 to make Father's Day even more special for Dad.

Yelp
I have been dining at the palm since I was 10 years (so for 53 years), and I am heartbroken to have to write this review. The family has sold The Palm to a conglomerate/chain/whatever, and the new owner had the stupidity to change the menu -- which was my menu for 53 years. I ordered one of the same things I have been ordering for about 25 years -- Steak Stone -- and something unrecognizable arrived. The waiter blamed it on the chef. What happened to all the Marsala choices? About the only thing(s) we ordered that were of the old Palm were the Gigi Salad and the half and half. Dear Palm, I highly recommend that you bring back the classic Palm menu that no one wanted changed. Until then, it's The Grill On The Alley for me. www.acmefoodwine.com

Billye S.

Yelp
Very disappointed meal this evening- have frequently eaten here - new management since Bruce is not there. Having dinner with friends - due to health reasons a service dog that is fully trained - who was under the table- my friend gave the dog -,food and water and was told by the manager - Javier - that this was unacceptable. When we made the reservation we informed them of the dog. When my friend got up to go to the restroom he was informed that the dog was not allowed to get up from the table.Again this is a service dog who my friend relies on .It's unfortunate that a restaurant of this caliber is not compassionate and understanding of a special needs person. This is the first time there has ever been an incident with this service dog inside a restaurant.

Stefanie S.

Yelp
The palm is a classic. You can't go wrong ordering a filet Mignon or their veal parm. Lamb chops are also great! For sea foodies, Try the Branzino, which is delicious, or splurge on a 4lb lobster! All the apps, sides and salads are delicious. The clams oreganata and Gigi salad are a personal favorites! 3 cheese potatoes au gratin!? Yes please! The speed of service is inconsistent but always friendly and they make a delicious martini. Make a reservation through open table.

Landon H.

Yelp
I love this place. It's always fun on the weekends. The staff is always top notch and food is excellent.

Spencer M.

Yelp
Let's start with the ambiance. The moment you step foot into The Palm, you'll be greeted by an eerie silence. It's as if the ghost of good food has long abandoned the premises, leaving behind only faded photographs of happier times. You'll be lucky to spot a single patron. Perhaps the locals know something you don't, or maybe it's just a clever strategy to avoid having to witness the tragicomic meals that await. Despite being the only patron in the restaurant, the chef will personally come out and shake his head behind you as you order a meatball in which is not possible to make because "it takes too long", keep in mind its dinner time, he shouldn't be expected to turn the stove on. Every dish reminds me of volunteering at a soup kitchen in Ohio except here you have to pay for the food. The only patrons that frequent this establishment are either either in the witness protection program or are in deep fear of being seen by anyone.

Savanna S.

Yelp
Words can't describe my experience here! 10 out of 10 wouldn't be good enough.100 out of 10 is more like it!!! I had my wedding reception dinner here in the Regal Room. I contacted Jennifer through events and she was such a pleasure to work with. We loved the ambiance as it has the old Hollywood glamour and fun murals and paintings on the walls. Our families are huge Frank Sinatra fans and this was a perfect spot for a reception. The service was top notch! Jeff, Javier, and the serving team was exceptional. This is hard to come by nowadays. Anything we needed they were on top of it! Believe me we had a large group and we can be a lot sometimes....Besides the service being impeccable, the food was spectacular! The lobster bisque was the huge hit and each steak was cooked to perfection. Also the blue cheese dressing for the salads was incredible. I tried a little bit of everything that was ordered and there wasn't one thing I didn't like! I will definitely be returning here with my family and also with my husband for our one year anniversary!

Arlene G.

Yelp
Service was great, but the food missed the mark. I wish that wasn't the case for this LA staple. But no amount of service can compensation for a table full of overcooked steaks. The sides were tasty. The desserts were decadent...this earned them one star back. Not a place I'd run back to if visiting LA.

Kena M.

Yelp
Eh. Came in on a Thursday evening around 4:30. The place was pretty empty. We sat at the bar. It smelled like mildew. I looked down and there was what looked like a strawberry that had to have been on the floor from the day before. The place looks tired. It needs a nap or something. The bartender tried his best. He was the bartender and serving in the main area. A female bartender eventually came, walked past us 3 times while serving the two guys to the right of us. She never once glanced at us (the only other ppl at the bar) until we waved her down to ask for the check. Got there at 4:30, was gone by 5:05.

Wendy L.

Yelp
Went tonight with my 6-y-o. I love king crab and they're having a king crab special this week to commemorate "crab day" yesterday. It was $69 for 20 oz. of king crab, with no sides or anything. I don't think I got 20 oz. though, probably not even a pound. There were only a couple succulent, sublime bites from a fat leg but the rest were from small or end pieces so were rubbery, salty, and/or like cottage cheese (and no claws.) I definitely would not return for any crab, especially at the price. We also got the half and half (fried onions and "cottage fries", like thick potato chips). They were good but were $14.50. I just don't remember the Palm being *that* expensive. The service was great, child's menu selections and actual dishes (mac n cheese) great and the new BH space (well I don't know if it's new but I'd never been there before) is nice, but I think there better and less expensive steakhouses out there.

Yelp
Best steak, burgers, and lobsters. Incredible black truffle gnocchi and mushrooms. Must try the shrimp cocktail, literally the best I've ever had.

Yelp
I read your response to my review which unfortunately was just a courtesy corporate response to the changes which have been made to the great Palm dishes before Landry bought the business. They've ruined a good number of entrees and extras which brought back everyone I know to the Palm. These folks also have dropped out and no longer frequent the restaurant. If you are looking for a great steak, classic Palm fries and onions, well welcome to Montys. They do it the old way. It's the best...

Yelp
The Palm is one of the best restaurants on Canon Drive. Is old school , great service. They know you by name is you're a regular. The portions are huge, you can always share. Very nice elegant yet not stuffy atmosphere. The inside is very nice. The hostess as well as the waiter were wearing mask. They provided hand sanitizer too. The lobster is very nice with the butter. The bread is to die for, specially the one with raisins. The salads are also very fresh. Good selection of drinks and wine.

Yelp
We came here for my birthday last night. We ordered the Torre Crudo seafood tower for the appetizer ($199). Took over 45 mins to come to the table. I'm not sure why it took so long. Lobsters were semi frozen. And the Oyster and clams did not smell right. There were probably 5 other parties in the restaurant at that time. We waited and had to ask for shellfish utensils and shell bowl. After finally getting the managers attention, he brought them over. We ordered Prime Bone-in Delmonico for my Mom and 2 young kids. Oh my goodness, these smelled so bad. I had many steaks, many dry aged steaks and never had anything smelled like these before. My 6 year old daughter had a bite and she spit it out. We had to ask the waiter to take it away immediately because it smells so bad. The manager then came to the table to tell us that it was the bone and it's normal. :/ We were so turned off that we had to just ask for the check and leave. We have been going to the Palms since they were open in West Hollywood but this will be the last time we will ever dine here.

Yelp
I ordered the Wagyu filet rare and it came well done. They prepared a new one but it just tasted like an ordinary steak from a supermarket. The lobster ravioli could have come from an upscale supermarket too. Nothing was great but instead blah. The half and half and creamed spinach were good. The restaurant is a pale comparison to what it was when it was located on Santa Monica Blvd in West Hollywood. Not worth the time going. There are plenty of other steak houses in the BH area to choose from.

Yelp
As far as premium steakhouses go this is middle of the pack. The ceasar salad bland, king crab ok,lambchops excellent, mashed potatoes ok.Service great. What has become of this great destination house after its move from Weho?

Yelp
The service is always great. But since they got bought by Landrys. The quality is just not the same. The food is bland. Steak has no flavor. Lobster nothing great. creamed spinach terrible, mashed potatoes too oily. Too much butter. Not smooth and creamy, shrimp risotto also bland and greasy, soup nothing fabulous. Clams just okay. Crab coc no longer has the mustard sauce. That was a bummer. They brought me Dijon mustard. Two Stars for great wait staff and great desserts. Cheesecake and carrot cake. go for after dinner drinks and desert. Sit at the bar.

Yelp
I have been to the Palm in BH a few times, and I have always enjoyed my experience. However, after my last visit, I decided to write a review and give Five Stars. We started off w/ the jumbo shrimp cocktail ($22) and the crabcake ($18 for one: WTF?!). Sorry I could not take pics bc it was a business meal. Nonetheless, the shrimp were super fresh and big. On the other hand, the crabcake tasted good, but the price was ridiculous for how small it was: 4 Stars for the shrimp, 3 for the crabcake. For a starter, I ordered the lobster bisque ($16.50). The lobster meat came in the bowl and the broth was poured at the table. The bisque was rich and creamy, but should have had more lobster for the price: 4 Stars. I smelled grilled meat, so I decided to have a cheat meal and order the bone in ribeye ($59). However, at 1,100 calories, I only ate half. In the past I would have eaten the whole thing! The meat was medium rare as requested and trimmed nicely: 5 Stars. BTW, the sides of broccoli, asparagus, mushrooms, and garlic potatoes were all very good. Most notably, the green veggies were fresh and had a good snap to them: 4 Stars. Lastly, berries are in season and we ordered two bowls ($11/each). They were a nice, simple way to end the meal: 4 Stars. The service from Joe and his team was very good, and what you would expect from a high-end steakhouse. They were attentive and courteous. The only room for improvement would have been to close the doors to the private room when they went in and out: 4 Stars. Which leads me to the 5 Star rating. The room in front seats 8 comfortably, and is perfect for a business meeting. I prefer Mastros in BH with friends bc it is loud and lively. However, the Palm is much more sedate, and better for business meetings. My client has at least four people come to dinner, coupled with at least 2-3 from my work leads to meeting here all the time in the future. The food is way better vs Matsuhisa, and there is much more room: 5+ Stars. I like the Palm in BH vs DTLA, and will recommend to my client that we come here all the time for business dinners. The food and service are very good, and that private room is winnahz.

Yelp
Went here for late lunch / early dinner. Service was great! BUT all the meals were super salty!!! Got mushroom soup ,lobsters soup, blue cheese salad and steak. Steak cooked great , have a nice tender texture and good amount of salt, but with other super salty meals...

Yelp
Just came here for my first post COVID dinner. They did a great job spacing out the seating and organizing reservations. Staff was amazing and so friendly! I had the chicken parmesan which was one of the best I've had in LA. They use a really good cheese! Also got crab cocktail appetizer which had a generous portion on crab. This restaurant is underrated. If you want great service and food definitely come here

Yelp
I used to frequent the old Palm location on Santa Monica. This was the first time dining at the Beverly Hills location and I must say it was exceptional ! Great food, amazing services and most importantly... great drinks.
