The Best Holiday Pop-Ups in and Around Nashville | Eater Nashville

"This all ages pop-up celebrates all things Whoville at the downtown location of Nashville’s iconic Pancake Pantry. A special menu of Who Hash, Max and Cheese, and Roast Beast Sandwiches, as well as a menu of themed cocktails, like the Wallow in Self Pity Punch, are available from Thursday through Saturday, 6 p.m. to 11 p.m., this Christmas pop-up bar runs until December 28." - Ellen Fort

Where to Find Nashville’s Best Breakfasts | Eater Nashville

"Yes, this Hillsboro breakfast icon from 1961 is packed with tourists at most hours, but Pancake Pantry is still worth the pilgrimage for candied bacon and buttermilk pancakes stuffed with chocolate chips, blueberries, pecans, and an assortment of other fillings. Go for breakfast during the week and you may avoid the seemingly endless lines that snake around the block on weekends. If you care less about visiting the hallowed grounds of the original, you could also try your luck at the large modern expansion in the Hyatt Centric Nashville hotel downtown." - Jackie Gutierrez-Jones

Where to Find Holiday Pop-Ups in and Around Nashville

"Buddy the Elf is spreading his special brand of holiday cheer at the Pancake Pantry this year with an explosive amount of over-the-top decor. Head over to this classic Nashville breakfast spot for an after-hours pop-up Thursday through Sunday from 6 p.m. to 11 p.m. On the menu: spaghetti and syrup (made from the Pantry’s pancake batter) and themed drinks like the Jingle Juice served in a glowing lightbulb and the 11 Cookies in the VCR (Doughball whiskey and chocolate liqueur topped with cookie dough from No Baked)." - Jackie Gutierrez-Jones

Best Diners in Nashville | Eater Nashville

"Despite opening at 6 a.m., Pancake Pantry’s flagship Hillsboro Village restaurant always seems to have a line down the sidewalk — it can’t hurt the appeal that Nashville’s own Taylor Swift is a fan. Since 1961 the diner has drawn fans with a variety of fat flapjacks from traditional buttermilk to banana bread, sweet potato (Swift’s favorite), and rolled cakes stuffed with fruit compote. Egg dishes, sandwiches, and candied bacon round out the menu. If you’re more concerned with finding a seat than basking in the homey original surroundings, Pancake Pantry also has a massive, modern location in the Hyatt Centric Downtown Nashville hotel, complete with additional menu items like a flight of brunch cocktails." - Kellie Walton

Pancake Pantry Review - Hillsboro Village - Nashville - The Infatuation

"One of the longest lines in Nashville isn’t to get into that new Broadway bar from another country star who happens to love beer, trucks, fishing, and beer - it’s for pancakes. Each weekend morning, people wrap around the block in front of the Pancake Pantry, which has been open since 1961. This daytime-only spot serves 23 varieties of pancakes, along with waffles, omelets, and sandwiches. Get the pecan or sweet potato pancakes, though if you had enough to drink last night that you ended up line dancing on a bar, the Pigs in a Blanket - three sausage links wrapped in fluffy buttermilk pancakes - should help you recover." - Kristen Shoates

Finished my NASSP conference and was looking for a place to eat while I waited for my flight home. You can never go wrong looking at Man Vs Food restaurants and select this restaurant. I had been here years ago but forgot about it. Parking can be an issue with the pay to park area found behind the local. You walk in and wait to be seated. FYI, the restrooms are located behind the cashier as you enter. When in rome, I needed to get the omelet and famous Santa Fe pancakes. So many calories, and I have the big belly to service all those flavors. I had to take some calls and kudos to my server for being awesome and smiling each time she came to take my order and refill my water. The omelet was packed with pork and good size. The Santa Fe cakes made it a perfect blend with the omelet and syrup. I for sure will return and visit this famous place and so should you.

Fun, local pancake diner! The line was down the road the first time we tried to go here, probably because the food is so good. We came back a different day earlier in the morning and had no wait. The restaurant is spacious with many tables in a diner like set up. The servers were fast and did a great job. I got a bacon, egg, and cheese breakfast sandwich that was amazing with homemade fresh squeezed orange juice. My friend got the Georgia peach pancakes that were a huge portion and looked delicious. Amazing place!

Great breakfast, a lot of options, and reasonable prices. I had the three pigs omlette. It comes with 2 pancakes. Everything was very filling. We got there about 7:30 on Sunday morning and got seated right away. A line formed very quickly after that. If you can't decide between pancakes or French toast, they offer half and half portions of each.

Yum. Good service. Very kind folks. Coffee was really good. Egg and bacon was the way I love. Definitely recommend it. Go early so you don't have to wait in line

The wait looks longer than it is outside. This place is very well organized. The food is absolutely absolutely delicious and the service some of the best I’ve ever experienced in the world. Very very impressed. We tried the gluten-free pancakes which were amazing. After a late night of enjoying music the fresh squeezed orange juice was the perfect treat. Lisa Maria was EXCELLENT. She was so informative, kind and helpful. She checked on us often and moved us through at the perfect pace. That woman is a huge blessing to any business.

I can't say enough good things. Just go! I had blueberry pancakes, hubs had a french toastwith eggs and bacon, our partner had the cherry French toast. The vanilla maple syrup was so good! Our server (can't remember his name) was amazing! It was super busy but we never felt neglected or rushed.

The line was down the block but moved quickly, 20 min to seated. The pancakes were delicious, light and fluffy. The omelet was just rolled up eggs with toppings dropped on. I expected the cheese to at least be melty but it was more like a garnish. Stick to pancakes and you won't be disappointed.

Before coming, I'd heard nothing but good things about this place (from people from Nashville), and it lived up to the hype. For a Friday morning, there was a wait outside, but it was only about 20 minutes. I got to try my friend's choices and they all were really good. If you like fancy pancakes, this place is for you.
