Our dream came true - we got married at the Parker House! My family has been rooted in the Sea Girt area since the 1940s, with the Parker House serving as a common thread through generations. Growing up, I heard amazing stories from my father about summers at “The Shore” and unforgettable moments at the Parker House. I myself have been summering here for 30+ years.
When I met the woman of my dreams (now MY WIFE!), I began bringing her to the shore every summer, and of course, to the Parker House. Both of us have been coming here for years, carrying on my family's tradition of afternoon back porch sliders and lobster rolls, followed by late-night dancing and drinks.
One memorable summer day, while at the back porch, we had the flirty conversation about having our wedding at the Parker House. We were certain this was the perfect place to get married, with its status as an unofficial national landmark for the Northeast, its Casa Blanca by the beach feel, and the opportunity for us to return and enjoy it every summer.
On October 5th, 2024, we made that conversation official. The entire experience exceeded our wildest dreams. We had a stunning grand cocktail-style wedding and had the pleasure of working with the best event manager, Maura, who also got married at the Parker House. This made our wedding day feel like we were working with family with everyone truly invested in ensuring my wife and I had an unforgettable day.
With Maura, Lauren, and all of The Parker House staff, it was without a doubt the perfect weekend. The food, atmosphere, and attention to detail were unparalleled. We still receive rave reviews from guests about our wedding here and how refreshing the venue was. I mean, how many people get to say they had their first dance in "God's Basement"!
Thank you to Maura & the entire Parker House team, we cannot wait to be back there this summer to be the annoying couple telling everyone over a drink and sliders that we got married here and how we will continue to dance the night away until we're old and frail.
