Been trying to avoid this place bc we have our favorite Italian places, AND after reviewing Yelp photos, we were a little skeptical of their rich and creamy pastas. Decided to dine here on a random Tuesday and sure glad we did. Even for a Tuesday night, it was pretty busy. We had reservations and were seated pretty quickly. Upon arrival, we were greeted by a tall young lady whose name I did not get. She had a warm smile and quickly took us to our table, where Sidney greeted us and took our drink orders (no hard alcohol that I could see, just wine, beer and bubbles). I opted for a glass of prosecco, which was $12 and filled to the brim; the hubby had a beer from a brewery he liked. We ordered a pizza (prosciutto w/balsamic glaze) and pasta (tagliatelle bolognese) to share; this was more than enough. Don’t think there was complimentary bread, but it was not needed. The portions here are big and I’m pretty sure the pastas are handmade. For dessert we shared a sundae, simple yes, but super tasty. The brownie and ice cream were made of good quality. Food was really good, and service was even better; thanks Sidney for having a great smile and being so attentive. Pretty good vibes too. Great for a date night, family night or even business eats. Will be back for sure!

My wife loves pasta, and I wanted to find her something a little more special, so I decided we would try here for a birthday dinner. Slam dunk choice really: What a fantastic little pasteria! The fresh pasta really shines through and puts the dried stuff to shame. We loved both our pasta dishes, the Tagliatelle & Truffle Cream sauce and Pasta Primavera. I imagine it's probably hard to go wrong with any of their pasta, on top of the fresh pasta, the seasonings and cooks were perfection. For appetizers the Melted Brie & Roasted Garlic is to die for, and something I now definitely want to try myself at home. I do recommend they fully cut the bread served with it, the whole half cut "boat" thing was awkward to deal with. The Polenta Fries were also good, especially with the Calabrian Pepper Jelly, but we felt the fries themselves needed a little more salt. And for dessert we were a little disappointed with the Olive Oil Pistachio Cake (still decent), but the Gelatos were top notch! This place is now on our radar and I suspect we'll be coming back soon.

One of the best restaurants I have EVER been to. I try my hardest to come here when I am in town. I have eaten here a few times per year and every single time it has been amazing. The staff is absolutely amazing. The owner Donna is usually there and I was a little shocked how the last few times she said hi to my family and knew who we were. So it does get busy and it’s a small place. I HIGHLY recommend making a reservation. Weston is hands down the best waiter I have ever had. If at all possible ask for him. Both cooks make incredible food. I always get the pasta primavera, but anything on the menu will blow your mind! Please eat here if you are ANYWHERE near here. I know live in another state and have dreams about the food here and whenever I am in town I try to eat here. This month, December of 2023 I ate here twice while visiting family for the holidays and both times were perfect. They make their pasta from scratch daily, they respect and work with people who have food allergies or sensitives. Two of my family don’t eat gluten and their gluten free pasta is not only the best around, but they will boil it separately and they have gluten free crackers for the appetizers. Do yourself a favor and eat here. Even if you are gluten free. It’s amazing.

Google
Great atmosphere and excellent location, right in the heart of Los Gatos downtown. I recommend making a reservation to get a table, this place does get busier so walking are gonna be hard. The food was good but we didn’t get the authentic Italian taste, the flavors were lacking to be honest. We have been to other Italian places recently and we had much more flavorful margherita pizza which wasn’t the case here. The chili garlic bread didn’t really have any chili in it. The pasta sauce was really amazing, loved the taste of it. Overall it’s a good restaurant but I wish the pizza was more flavorful.

I am happy to have a new options for Italian in the Bay Area. One day we were walking by and the smell call us. We finally had the opportunity to eat here last Saturday and the whole experience was good. The owner made you feel at home. The service team is attentive and they want you to have a good night. Super pet friendly. Tables outside. Pizza was ok so you can find better places near. Pasta was good. Tasty dessert. Good options. i want to come back.

Delicious! We had a very nice dinner last night at The Pasteria in Los Gatos. After the Los Gatos High Football game we tried to get a reservation online, but they we sold out till 9:30. We stopped in anyway and got their last table. Everything on the menu looked great. We read reviews how good the Brie appetizer was, but decided to go with the roasted garlic and fresh bread to save on the calories. It was a great call. The serving of garlic was generous and the bread was soft and warm. Our waiter Westin brought us a little olive oil and balsamic which made a nice combination. Our second course was the house salad. Simple with just romaine lettuce, kidney beans tossed in a light vinaigrette and topped with shaved Parmesan. Very good. Westin then brought out a plate of oven roasted Brussel sprouts. They were tasty tossed in a balsamic reduction and topped with Parmesan, but with thought the dish needed a little more flavor. We added a little more reduction which helped. For our main courses my wife ordered the Tagliatelle & Truffle Cream sauce with Chicken. She said it was incredible. The pasta, made in house was perfect and the truffle was not overpowering. I planned on getting the seafood pasta, but when I saw a plate of the angel hair pasta with meatballs go by, I changed my mind. It was a good choice. The fresh pasta was cooked to perfection. The red sauce has nice flavor with enough zest. The meatballs were awesome. Lots of flavor with just enough spice. We had a couple of glasses of Kathleen Kennedy Small Lot Cabernet with dinner. Very good. It was nice they had some decent wines by the glass. We did not come close to finishing any of our dishes. There was definitely no room for dessert. The service was excellent. Our server Westin was very friendly, knowledgeable and was always there when we needed him. Another restaurant we will return to. On a side note, they added some outdoor seating fireplaces that looked nice. I am sure they fill up fast so a reservation is most likely needed.

Yelp
I had been wanting to try the pastaria forever and finally made it over!! We made a reservation through open table but last minute added an extra person. The host was nice and accommodating! Our server was Jack and he was awesome! He made great recommendations and was attentive and nice. There honestly wasn't one food item that we ordered that wasn't amazing. I did the truffle cream cheese tagliatelle and absolutely loved it. The portions were huge! Other memorable dishes: spicy garlic bread, artichoke dip, gnocchi. They have gluten free pasta available for a $4 upcharge. It is fettuccine and our server assured us it is cooked in different water and you can substitute it in any pasta dish. The ONLY thing I didn't love about the meal was the drinks- I didn't realize that they don't have a full liquor license so I got a lavender lemonade that tasted mostly like sugar sink the vodka is actually a rice wine. I would definitely get wine next time with my meal instead. Overall loved it and will be back!

Yelp
How have I not done a review sooner?!!! A couple years ago I ordered Pastaria and market for my mom's birthday, her neighbors called and text me asking where I ordered the delicious Italian food I was happy to let them know from a local woman owned business. I just finished my meal and now I'm enjoying my frozen rose in the sunshine it happens to be 88° tonight. After, a stressful week the first place I thought of to put on a little lip and a dress was Pastaria and Market. On cooler nights I have sat inside enjoyed the beautiful decor (the little touches) that show the owner Donna has thought of everything, she is welcoming and attentive to her staff. This perfect date night restaurant, can accompany groups and also quaint enough for the single person who wants to treat themselves after a long day. Several people walked by as I twisted my pasta into bite rounds and said they commented "that looks amazing" and it was delightful! I will return and continue to recommend Pastaria and market to friends and family.

Yelp
We've been wanting to try some new Italian places and this one did not disappoint! The ambiance in this restaurant was really nice. Our server (I unfortunately didn't get his name) was amazing! Super friendly and quick with everything. To drink I got their Frosé which was delicious! I liked the guava that was mixed with it. My husband had a merlot to drink which he enjoyed. For my entree, I got the tagitelle bolognese. It had great flavor and the noodles were cooked al dente. It came with a giant pile of parmesan on top which is definitely the way to my heart - lol! My husband got the burrata pizza and thought that was very tasty. Overall we really liked this place and definitely plan on coming back!

Yelp
Most places around here in Los Gatos will end up costing you $50+ per person but I felt like the value here was really great. Prices were reasonable and each item we ordered was very tasty. The servers were also very helpful and friendly. Being right on the main strip gives you a great location in downtown Los Gatos. I would definitely come back.

Yelp
Loved this little Italian restaurant in downtown Los Gatos. Ambiance was lovely, the food was amazing, service was just okay. Everything we tried was good but I would highly recommend the burrata pizza over anything else. It was fantastic!! We also loved loved the gnocchi, would definitely get that again. Our waiter recommended the truffle pasta and many around us seemed to love that one. We tried the brussels sprouts and those were good but I would try something else before getting them - nothing over the top special. I recommend getting a reservation. We made one a few days out for a Thursday night and were glad we did because it was full and had a wait when we got there. Enjoy!

Michelle K.

Yelp
My friend hosted her bridal shower here, and the service was impeccable. They decorated the room and provided a delicious motley of drinks and food. The waitresses would also be helpful and consistently check in throughout the event. I got the iced latte, lychee mimosa, stuffed mushrooms, margarita pizza, italian wedding soup, the tagliatelle with truffle cream sauce, and a nonalcoholic frosé. Everything (esp the stuffed mushrooms and tagliatelle) was fantastic.

Yelp
Been wanting to come to this place for a while and finally was able to come for a Saturday lunch. The restaurant has good ambiance but had to give 2 stars for such a horrible service. Our server came in such a bad mood which ruined our whole dining experience here. Before we were seated the host was telling me that they have no kids menu but the server should be able to get me a smaller order of pasta with any pasta and sauce. So the first question i asked was what's the menu option you have for my kids she said there's no kids menu. So we started ordering for the adult and she was taking our order with the 2 hands on her hips the whole time. No hospitality and full of attitude. She was not taking our drink order so i have to ask different person for water. When the food came, she did not offer any pepper or parmesan cheese for us, while the other server which serve the table next to us was kindly offer that table. The food was as decent. We order the prosciutto pizza and the chicken pasta.

Yelp
Such a good place to eat if you're craving Italian food! We made reservations, but the place was packed even on a Thursday evening! Service was very friendly and welcoming. Appetizers we tried were the artichoke dip, a margherita pizza, truffle fries, and the melted brie with roasted garlic. I'm in love with the artichoke dip and the Brie with garlic. The artichoke dip was surprisingly more artichoke than dip and the melted brie with garlic on toast was delicious. The pizza and fries were standard, but also good. The main dishes chosen were the Gnocchi Salsiccia, Tagliatelle and truffle cream sauce, Pasta Primavera, and the Primadonna. The gnocchi was pillowy soft, and the sauces that came with each pasta was so flavorful! I think the pasta primavera was my least favorite, seeming more like a alfredo pasta, but still not bad. We tried the Frose because we saw it on Yelp. Not bad, but not that exciting. This restaurant only serves wines and beers, btw. No cocktails. They have an extensive mocktail menu for those who don't drink! We were too full by the end to get dessert, but I'm excited to try their other pastas when I come back!

Yelp
I had such a lovely experience here, except for the table of woman to the left corner being so obnoxiously loud that even the tables around us complained to the server. Besides that, here was the good parts: We were sat as soon as we walked in because we had a reservation (HIGHLY RECOMMEND IT). Our server was very attentive and kind. Appetizer: Melted Brie & Roasted Garlic 9/10 The portion of this was amazing, practically a whole brie cheese. The amount of bread was also great. I felt the cheese lacked something but I loved the garlic as it gave it some flavor. Drinks: Frose 11/10 This is what I came here for!! Definitely a must otherwise you're missing out. Mains: Shepard's Pie (specials of the night) 7.5/10 I'm not sure what I was expecting but definitely something more and better. Don't get me wrong, it was still good but not something I'd get again. Mains: Gnocchi Salsiccia 9/10 So creamy and delicious!! The pasta tasted fresh. I only had some as it does have heavy cream. Overall, great experience. I'd come back and try another different main course. 8.5/10 Food 10/10 Services

Yelp
My friend and I arrived last night to do our weekly girlfriend catch up. We ordered wine, the half love of bread, roasted garlic for the table. A kale salad to share. Fettuccine alfredo, chicken parmesan for our entrees. The kale salad came with big leaves, Underdressed. I had to ask for a knife so I could shred the salad at my table to make it edible. The fettuccine Alfredo came with a tasteless sauce, and my request for parmesan cheese went unchecked for twenty minutes. The chicken parmesan Was served with overcooked pasta and overdone chicken patty. Sauce was falling off the plate everywhere. We sent both entrees back unfortunately. I've had good meals here. Really good meals here, It feels like the owners have handed over the quality control to the kitchen staff. Who from my opinion Looks like they could be working at denny's. I doubt I will be back.

Yelp
Lovely restaurant with amazing staff and cozy vibes - 5/5 for me! Friend and I didn't have a reservation but were able to get a bar seat with a short wait. I would highly recommend getting a reservation bc I think we just got super lucky. During the wait, the front staff was super communicative about the status of our bar seat which was really nice of them to do. The bar staff was also great. They kept an eye out for our plates and drink glass to time plate changes and more drink check-ins at a great pace. It's not a large restaurant but that is because they have a huge pizza oven in the back, which of course means I had to get a freshly made pizza. The pizza was slightly on the thick side, but flavor was great and very filling. We also had one of their seasonal appetizers which was amazing - goat cheese with cherry tomatoes I think? All in all, definitely would visit again and try their other dishes. A bit on the pricy side but for a dinner out with friends or treat yourself meal, definitely worth it.

Snehal P.

Yelp
Beautiful interior, great service. Food is good too. We tried baked Brie, pesto pasta, roasted veggies and margarita pizza. Except pizza everything was delicious. Pizza was average in my opinion. Walnut Pesto sauce was very good. We loved wood fire roasted vegetables.

Ana C.

Yelp
This location is incredibly cute! The aesthetic of the restaurant is so aesthetically pleasing. The staff is super wonderful & attentive! I got the Tagliatelle & truffle cream sauce pasta and oh my goodness that was a great dish! Shared a Caesar salad & a burrata appetizer. Everything was super yummy. So happy to have found this gem in Los Gatos.

Maggie H.

Yelp
It was a rainy day so we started off our meal with tomato basil soup and got some spicy garlic bread. The tomato basil soup was really tasty and the croutons added an extra crunch to the dish. The spicy garlic bread had a slight kick to it but was not overpowering. We got the fettuchini Alfredo and the tagliatelle and truffle cream sauce. I didn't really like the sun dried tomatoes in the getting but overall still tasty. However I really enjoyed the tagliatelle and truffle cream sauce, it was so tasty! It was perfectly balanced and the noodles were perfectly cooked as well. If you like mushrooms give this dish a try! I will be back to try more dishes.

Shadi B.

Yelp
Food was amazing. Gluten free pasta was tasty. The gnocchi were very fluffy. The winner though is the sauces. Super flavorful. Service was great. Definitely a winner.

Yelp
It was a week night, we were celebrating a BDAY and just wanted to relax. If this is you.. don't go, find some place else. Lots of Italian places in Los Gatos. We purposely did not order food at the same time as appetizers because we were in no hurry at all. The place was empty at 5 pm and 6 pm. Well, the food still came out way too fast. No idea what we had because the experience was soooo bad. Ordered desserts, we were told upfront they do not offer complimentary, no problem, but they would add a candle. Yes, you guessed it dessert came and no candle.

L P.

Yelp
The staff is nice. The food was under average. Focaccia - 5/10 (was decent) Butternut squash ravioli - 1/10. The ravioli was flat, tasted very cheesy and had no butternut squash flavor at all. It certainly didn't feel fresh or made here. Costco sells frozen butternut squash ravioli and it's actually better than this. The sauce was ok at 2/10. Burrata - very average or below average. 3/10 Overall quality of food isn't great. When you eat good olive oil and fresh veggies you know instantly. This wasn't good quality. Hostess is super nice!

Jessica Q.

Yelp
Celebrated my birthday here with a friend and my boyfriend. I typically overlook this restaurant during the day because it's unassuming and tucked away. The proportions are a good size and fill you up. The melted brie is hands-down the best appetizer! We could come back repeatedly for just this dish. I ordered the Tagliatelle & Truffle Cream Sauce, which was a perfect balance of truffle without it being too light or overpowering. My only issue with it was that the chicken ended up being a bit dry. The guava-flavored frosé was intriguing but didn't particularly pair well with the dishes in my opinion.

Amanda S.

Yelp
Popped in for pizza on a Wednesday night. At 8pm we were able to snag a table, but just barely. I saw pics of the burrata pizza with arugula and chili oil and knew we had to try it. The pizza was out really quickly and it was the perfect size for 2. It's real Italian style very thin crust, the sauce was bright and a perfect contrast to the creamy burrata. The arugula helped to lighten things up and had a great peppery flavor. Drizzled over the top was a chili oil and honey! It wasn't too spicy, more garlicky but gave it a nice kick. They have 50% off wine bottles on Wednesday with some amazing choices. The pizza with a nice full bodied red was heavenly. We got a side of meatballs m, they were tender and delicious!! We ended the meal with espresso and tiramisu. I love real tiramisu, I've tried most in the area and this was top notch. Dinner for 2 was approx $100, little pricey for pizza but it was worth it! The owner and our server Westin were so warm and helpful, it was a pleasure visiting. As for the ambiance, it's the old Opa, so it's very narrow. It's decorated in pink, grey and tan, very girly for an Italian restaurant. Do not pass on trying a Frose in the summer, it's not to be missed. What's summer in LG w/o their Frose anyway?

Josh S.

Yelp
Amazing food and fantastic environment. Everything was worth it in every way. Taste, quantity, environment, and service was perfect. We will be coming back soon.

Yelp
Looking for places to eat in the South Bay, I came across this one as a recommendation from a friend. The location is great, in downtown Los Gatos with lots of other stores and eateries nearby! The dining area is pretty narrow, felt a little cramped to me but I enjoyed how the whole front area was opened up, feeling almost like we were eating alfresco. We were seated right away since it was still early in the evening and I ordered the chicken parmigiana. When my meal came, the first thing that hit me was the size- the chicken cutlet was bigger than my hand! The chicken was cooked well, not too dry, and it was cheesy goodness with a bed of pasta underneath. The pasta had a nice texture as well. I enjoyed my meal and the price was reasonable. Would definitely come back if I'm back in the area.

Deanna R.

Yelp
I kind of hate to say this out loud because it's such a hidden treasure but we threw a little dinner party in the back room of the Pastaria following my daughters engagement, and it was absolutely gorgeous. We didn't need to do any decorating. It was already as beautiful as can be. The food was excellent ( of course) and Donna is wonderful to work with! Even when you forget, that one of your guest is actually vegan... and two more people join at the last minute!!

Anonymous R.

Yelp
Yum! Walnut pesto linguine and primadonna pastas were delicious! Homemade pastas. Margarita and cheese pizzas as well as the appetizer fries were also good. Would definitely go back.

Daisy G.

Yelp
The Melted Brie Roasted Gilroy Garlic was definitely the star of the show. The bread was soft, yet had a perfect crunch on the outside; the garlic easily spread on the bread and the Brie gave every bite a perfect bite. The ceasar salad was any average salad. It was good, but pricey. The Baked Mostaccioliaurore with Chicken reminded me of airplane or school lunch pasta. Maybe I'm biased as I just came back from Italy, but the Truffled Porcini & Mushroom Agnolotti was not my favorite. As much as the pasta sauce was creamy, I wish it had a creamier texture as it felt a bit soupy. Maybe they forgot to add truffle for us, but there was not much of a truffle taste. The noodles itself was good with a chewy texture, but it almost felt like I was having noodles with soup. Their portions are unexpectedly big here. We were so used to having small portions in Italy that when our plates came out here, we were shocked with the portion size. The price definitely matched the portion size, but not the quality of taste. Our total was a bit over $100, we thought it was worth the portion sizing but not for the taste. Maybe the seating was too close because it was hard to talk inside. It was pretty busy for a Wednesday night. We found ourselves raising our voices to talk in the restaurant. Their service here was amazing! They were really nice and kept acknowledging that it was a slower service that day. They apologized and checked up on us a good amount.

Yelp
What a gem! Beautiful place fantastic service and food is delicious! Definitely will be back. Cindy our waiter was great! See u soon!

Yelp
I really loved this place, but this time around I was so disappointed. We were really excited to finally get a reservation and that too, on a busy night. My brother loves Italian food and I was raving about this place. He definitely didn't get the experience I had hoped for. I'm so sad to say that the service was unbearably slow. I was disappointed that we were seated next to the takeout door and there was no extra heating next to it. It was so cold! Three different waitresses came up to us over the course of our first 20 minutes there to ask us what kind of water we would like. Eventually after 25 minutes, we finally got water. We asked for tap water. By that point we were ready to order and they hadn't told our main waitress that they were out of pizza dough until we had given our orders. That was honestly so upsetting because we were so hungry and already cold and waiting by that point. We had to take a couple more minutes to order new dishes and 15 minutes later, our waitress was no where to be seen. She is really nice so I don't want to say she did a bad job. I think maybe they were busy and understaffed because I ended up walking out of the back dining room to the front to ask to order. That honestly was just so frustrating. The back dining room especially our table felt the most neglected. I don't know why. Perhaps because we were a small party or had arrived last amongst the other tables. The back dining room is definitely a worse experience than the front so keep that in mind. Our pasta was okay. I think the pizzas would've been better. We ordered: 1. The walnut pesto pasta: 4/10 - watery, lacked much flavor, the walnuts were not a great addition for me personally 2. Butternut squash ravioli: 8/10 - all of the flavor comes from the cheesiness so this was the best thing we ordered 3. Chicken and mushroom tagliatelle: 6/10, very standard, nothing exciting, a safe bet but somewhat bland. Needed a lot of red pepper for flavor for the other members in my party, unless you don't like spice like me. 4. Italian soda- wasn't mixed well and too much ice, I should've asked for less ice because we took about 3 sips and it was over 5. The wine list here is pretty good and I recommend ordering a glass/bottle with your meal I think I'll come back here on a weekday if I ever do.

Myan D.

Yelp
I honestly can't believe I haven't written a review for this spot yet! We always come here whenever we're craving Italian food bc we know both the service & the food are going to be amazing every single time. It's located in downtown LG, so parking can be a little bit harder to come by depending on time of day, but there's a few parking lots in the area & street parking, so you're bound to find something. Food here is absolutely freaking amazing! It's so hard bc every time I come, I just want to order the same items since it's so good. Our favorite appetizer is the melted brie & roasted garlic. Literally so yummy with the fresh baked bread it comes with. And, every single time, I have to order the tagliatelle with truffle cream sauce. It's so addicting!

Yelp
This is my fourth time coming here, and this experience took the cake! The occasion was mom's birthday. For context: my parents are very picky, sensitive, slow-trusting type people. They believe most restaurant food is too salty or too sweet, or they believe they can make the dish better at home. We haven't been out for a birthday since pre-pandemic, so this outing was a very momentous occasion. High praise to The Pastaria & Market for helping us celebrate this occasion and giving us such a wonderful experience with the food! Reservations via website are easy to make. Got to the restaurant 15 mins early, waited less than 5, got seated. -- Food Kale and fennel salad: a classic must-try here. Dark leafy greens, sprinkles of fennel, almonds, golden raisins (I hate raisins but I found myself looking for them in this dish!), green goddess dressing. Light, refreshing, not too filling. Melted Brie: another classic absolute must-try!!! If there's one thing I crave, it's this. The roasted garlic cloves are soft, spreadable, and add such a good flavor to the bubbling hot Brie; the bread is warm, fresh, and soft (no stale bread here!). Add the jam--you won't regret it! They seem to cycle between different types of jams. The last times I came, it was a berry jam. Today was actually orange marmalade, and it still worked so well with the Brie. Arancini: nicely coated with crispness, soft rice inside. 3 Little balls of fun plopped onto a red sauce. Simple. Lentil soup: no expectations for this, but kept finding myself eating one spoonful after another! I'm not a lentil person, nor am I a person to order soup at a restaurant, but I'm happy about this dish too. Pasta Primadonna: how can you say no to fresh, hand made pasta???? You can't! This one had the perfect balance of texture, flavor, and portion. Only gripe: bacon bits were sooooo salty. Easy to avoid. Burrata pizza: my parents like doughy, chewy pizza that has lots of flavors of different kids. The sweetness of the honey, the freshness of the arugula, slight kick of the chili, cool moisture of the burrata was perfection! Also, a complimentary birthday dessert for the mom! -- Other things: - our server was so kind and thoughtful. He would ask if we needed a soup serving spoon, gave us a dish for prawn tails--I think most servers tend to wait until you need something, but Westin was proactive and offered things without hesitation. - the noise level is pretty loud during lunch hour. Around 2:30 pm it simmered down, but because the kitchen is open to the dining area, you can hear the banging and clattering of dishes, utensils, and cups. You may have to yell to get your party to hear you. -- Another successful meal here at The Pastaria & Market. Excited for next time!

Yelp
Upon entering the restaurant, it was immediately apparent that the staff cared deeply about their customers. From seating us early from our reservation time and asking whether we wanted to switch seats, the staff displayed their hospitality. Their quick attention to us demonstrated how attentive they were, including bringing us water and taking away our finished dishes (even asking us if we wanted red pepper flakes and parmesan). The restaurant itself is clearly a work of art--through its flourishing ambiance created by different layered lightings (like chandeliers and lamps), comfortable seating choices, and intricate wallpapers and decorations. The color scheme created a welcoming but refined setting, just as the food was. Our shared appetizer demonstrated an amalgamation of savory, creamy, and sweet; crunchy, soft, and crispy. Each dish had creamy and fulfilling sauce, filling any and all cravings for something hearty and warm as we enter these cold nights. Of course, I had great company that compounded my sweet experience at this restaurant.

Yelp
My brother and I were itching for pasta and we were scheduled to pick up something from Los Gatos, but I was unable to walk due to an ankle injury. What to do? Takeout saves the day! Though storytime aside, it was a smooth takeout experience from ordering to pickup (aside from horrendous parking luck). Food was done on time and things were packed up nice and tight. Quite important to me as we did have slightly soupier entrees in there. Considering it had surived a 30 minute wait, the food was pretty darn good and the pasta was solid (not to mention still quite hot). I only wish we could've savored them in-person, but that shall have to wait for another future time. ==Tagliatelle & Truffle cream sauce [4.5/5]== My dish choice and quite the aromatic one to boot. It's always a good sign that the moment you crack open the lid that the aroma just wafts literally everywhere in the room, screaming "TRUFFLEZ!". But yes, it was delightfully aromatic of its namesake and quite creamy in all the right cozy ways. I had mixed feelings about the chicken though, which was a bit...rigid. It did have a lovely toasted/grilled aroma to it so I forgive it on the flavor front, but I would've preferred a lot more moisture in it. Otherwise I was quite happy with my entree; the pasta was a smidge soft, but that's most definitely the takeout problem rather than the food prep. ==Gnocchi salsiccia [5/5]== From my samplings of this dish and my brother's copious guarding of it, it was quite well favored as a choice. Though it was not as vocal as the other dish we got it with, it was quite well done with spot on texture in the gnocchi (elegantly bouncy that just melts away into smoothness). The sausage was also quite nicely spiced to give bits and pieces of its flavor in the dish; just enough heat to give it some contrast, but not terribly overwhelming. Marking this spot for an in-person return for sure!

Yelp
10/10 - Best , fresh , pasta in the Bay Area. Once you've had fresh pasta, everything else pales in comparison. This is the only restaurant where everything is consistently as delicious as the previous visits with no variables. I live in the area, but it wasn't until I was invited to a family dinner that I was introduced to this delightful eatery. It's always busy here, but never obnoxiously loud. This just means you may need to make a reservation - even more so if you have a group. Every evening seems to have a new menu printed up so you're bound to find something that is available and tasty! It's better to call ahead for certain dishes because Yelp photos may only be per evening - and specials change. Dishes can be made vegetarian upon request (and ability to do so) which is a huge plus. The butternut squash ravioli is my go-to every time I come here. I think this is the only restaurant I've been to where the meal is flavored to perfection - needing no additional sauces, spreads, or salt/pepper. They do offer freshly sliced cheese, which is a great pairing - but the meal is well balanced in flavor and satiety that you don't feel like you missed out. I highly recommend ordering a half/full loaf of their house made ciabatta because it tastes amazing and feels like you're eating a warm cloud. The vinegar and oil are pairings and butter is offered upon request. Even alone, this bread is a show stopper. I ended up enjoying it so much I put a few slices with my ravioli in the to go box and it tasted just as delicious the day after. The pasta is cooked to perfection and the assortment of protein, sauces, and garnishes make this place a spot everyone in your group will enjoy.

Yelp
Wonderful atmosphere, service and food! The garlic bread was the best I ever had. Fettuccine Alfredo and margarita pizza were also delicious. Our server was friendly and came back several times to check on us. Our first time here but will definitely be back

Yelp
Some of the best Italian in the Southbay a true gem. Authentic, fresh amazing service. This use to be the now defunct Opa's. So the restaurant looks small but there is plenty of room in the back for larger dinner events. Awesome food and great assortment of wines and cocktails. Must try the FROSE

Yelp
Our favorite restaurant in Los Gatos! Adorable decor, fresh delicious Italian food with amazing service! Emerson (hostess) was so thoughtful and created a beautiful card for our mom's 98th birthday! Our server Westin had the best personality and was incredibly attentive! Best place for a special occasion!!!

Yelp
Came a while ago with my friends for the first time and it was a lovely experience! We all absolutely loved the food and couldn't stop sipping our frose (frozen wine slushies). We had the focassia bruscetta for an appetizer along with the burrata. I wish I took more photos, but everything was beautiful and delicious! My gnocchi entree was so flavorful and fresh. Big portions too. Our waitress gave us this recommendation along with most of the rest of our order and we were so glad because all of her recommendations were delicious! (The specials sounded great too.) Probably some of the best Italian food I've had. She was very knowledgeable and accommodating of our dietary restrictions, and just downright friendly! I think her name was Sara-- blonde young woman. She made us feel right at home and took some photos for our group which were so cute with a beautiful mural in the background. The busser was also quick to help. Very friendly staff. Slightly pricey, but with the beautiful ambiance, yummy food, and attentive service-- we're planning to be back soon! (Ps-- definitely try the froze drinks. They were great for a hot day!)

Yelp
I showed up around 1:30 pm on a Saturday and was informed that the wait would be around 1 hour and 15 mins. Learn from my mistake and make a reservation! Once 2:45 pm rolled around, we were seated promptly and put in our order nearly immediately (waiting for that long gives you time to really ruminate on what to order before being seated). We ordered: - Burrata ($14): So delicious! The menu doesn't specify which seasonal jam the dish will be paired with but that didn't stop us. We were treated to a delicious apricot jam that complemented the burrata itself. - Chicken Parmigiana ($25): I wish that the noodles weren't buried under the heap of cheese because when I cut into the chicken, I'd inevitably cut the the noodles as well. It was still *very delicious* but having short noodles definitely made the experience a little unusual. - Tagliatelle Bolognese ($19): The sauce and the noodles were perfect. No further comments! Other notes: - There's no signage on the restaurant. No big deal but I did end up walking past it once lol. I'll be back (and will have made a reservation prior to arriving) :)

Yelp
What incredible food!! The staff was so nice and we had such a lovely meal on a Friday night. We ordered the pizza and pasta of the day, and the gnocchi salsiccia. Everything was amazing - the sauce for the gnocchi was incredible, and it was all great portion size. The ambiance itself was very nice, elegant without being too upscale. Probably a great place to have a glass of wine and settle down for a nice evening dinner. You should definitely check this place out!

Yelp
Adding this Italian restaurant to my go-to list! I had dinner here on a Friday night without a reservation so my friend and I were able to snag seats at the bar (it's first come first serve). It's located in downtown on the main street. There was plenty of parking on the street. Shout out to Brie V. (the bartender)! She was so nice! She was very attentive and gave us really good recommendations based on our dietary restrictions and preferences. Drinks: We of course had to try their frose'. Brie gave us testers of both flavors and we went with the guava. They were super tasty and not too sweet at all! Appetizer: We ordered the buratta. The spicy jam was delicious! And the cheese was soft and gooey warm. Pasta: I ordered the walnut pesto linguini. Omg the pasta was suuuper fresh and al dente. The pesto also tasted really fresh. I added mushrooms and sun-dried tomatoes and wow their mushrooms was perfectly cooked. My friend ordered the truffle pasta. She said the sauce was tasty and flavorful but it wasn't distinctly truffle flavored. Regardless she enjoyed it and actually, the next day, her sister ate the leftovers and immediately demanded to know where she could buy some more! We didn't have room for dessert because their portions are HUGE. You definitely get your moneys worth! Apparently they have an in-house pastry chef so next time I will be planning accordingly. Can't wait to return for a cute date-night :).

Yelp
I've been going to The Pastaria and Market for the past 10 years. My family loves going to Los Gatos for window shopping. On night, we were starving and randomly saw this restaurant. Back then, it was small and not super popular but I have to say, the food is *chef's kiss*. I make it a tradition to go every year and they never cease to impress me. My best friend just graduated so I really wanted to take him out for a congratulations dinner. We spontaneous made the plan to drive to Los Gatos and have dinner here. Big mistake because the restaurant was PACKED -- all reservations, no walk ins. I was bummed and walked for a spot at the bar. My friend was looking up other places near by but I was too stubborn. I waited outside for 30 minutes and I think the waiters felt bad or they saw my desperate face but they let us in! They squeezed us in to a 2-person table in the corner right before closing and I couldn't have been more happier. They were so sweet and treated us so well. Made our night! We ordered the Melted Brie and Roasted Garlic, Pasta Primavera, and the Gnocchi Salsiccia (without the pork sausage). I order the Brie and Pasta Primavera every single time and it is beautiful. The Brie, as usual, is amazing. You can never go wrong with a melty cheese like brie. This was my friend's first time trying this and you could see the fireworks in his eyes. He was blown away. As for the Pasta Primavera, I have never been in love with a dish more. I have dreams about it hahaha. It is creamy but surprisingly not too heavy. I hate when creamy sauces have that sticking on your tongue oily feel and this sauce is definitely not like that. This dish is perfection, through and through. Even the vegetables are so yummy and add the texture you need for a creamy pasta. Again, my friend and I were so blown away that we were fighting over the pasta. Lastly, for the Gnocchi pasta, it was decent. Maybe I'm just very particular about my gnocchi. The gnocchi was very soft and pillowly but it was simply too big. I felt like you have to cut it into 2 pieces otherwise the middle ends up being bland, especially when the sauce is so good. After the Pasta Primavera, this dish just simply didn't follow up. It was still good enough for me to order again but I wouldn't say its a "must order" item. Overall, The Pasteria and Market has always been and seems to always be an amazing experience. If you are every craving Italian food, skip the local Olive Garden and come here instead! I highly recommend it :)

Yelp
Went here for a 15 person birthday dinner on a Friday night. From start to finish the service is impeccable. Pizzas out of the wood fired oven are delicious. The meatballs were piping hot and tender. No wonder the place was packed. I am super happy to have found a great restaurant for groups. They even split the check for us.

Yelp
My boyfriend and I had been waiting months to try the food, only to be made to wait with a reservation and not at the outside table we originally booked. The food was good but to me not anything special. I'd try again to hope for a better experience but there are plenty of other pasta options out there.

Yelp
Stopped here around 2:00 PM after a long bike ride to catch a bite to eat. Luckily we were able to get a table outside. After standing in line for a few minutes we were greeted by friendly staff, our table was wiped and we seated shorty after. Cold water was served right away and of course I couldn't resist the froze. While we reviewed the menus our waitress came out and explained the specials. I chose the Kale & Shaved Fennel Salad, with added shrimp and a side of spicy garlic cheese bread. Husband ordered one of the special pizzas that had prosciutto and arugula. Let me just say, YES, I was starving after riding but this salad was one of the best tasting salads I have had. It was so refreshing and full of fresh ingredients. It was filling. The crunch of the almonds, the creaminess of the beans and the sweetness of the raisins were just perfect! The combination of the ingredients and the dressing paired together so perfectly. No doubt about it I would go back over and over just for this salad. Cheese bread = Delicious Pizza = Great Service = Excellent Salad = Well you already know, it was Absolutely PERFECT! So glad we stopped here. It was a beautiful day and the food and service was great.

Yelp
The best homemade, fresh pasta I've ever had. My favorite restaurant in Los Gatos. Highly recommend.

Yelp
Dinner here this week was lovely! Service was attentive and helpful with recommendations. We ordered the pizza with honey drizzle- I believe it was a special. So good! Also had the strawberry salad and the angel hair pasta and seafood pasta. Everything was delicious! Can't wait to try other menu items soon.

Yelp
Went out for a girls dinner along with my two little ones. We ordered the red pepper flake bread and meatballs to share. The meatball was ok but I really enjoyed the bread. Chicken parmigiana is my favorite Italian dish. This one was good but didn't quite excite. I ordered the second dish for my little ones to share and for my husband to have for work the next day. It's safe to say he did not have food for lunch. It was so good. For sure my favorite dish of the night. Would come again and hopefully soon.

Yelp
Was strolling around downtown Los Gatos and came across this lovely Italian ristorante! The garlic scent immediately drew us in. The vibes were immaculate ~ as the Gen Z kids would say. (I'm Gen Z lol) Melted Brie with Roasted Garlic: Sooo good! I'm obsessed with this flavor combo. The creaminess of the brie and the roasted garlicky flavor pairs incredibly well with fresh bread. Tagliatelle with Mushroom & Black Truffle Sauce: our favorite! The umami flavor really came through, and the sun-dried tomatoes were a sweet touch. The chicken was a little dry, but the heaviness of the cream sauce balanced it out well. Seafood Linguine: I tend to order seafood pasta at Italian establishments, so I had to try this. Unfortunately, it was quite average, and there was one mussel in the dish that didn't taste fresh. Note that the quantities are Very generous; one dish can serve two. Although I was disappointed by the seafood linguine, I had an enjoyable experience dining here! Nice date spot on a Friday night:)

Yelp
I came here twice when craving Italian food and I loved it both times. They get very busy on the weekends, so try to make a reservation ahead of time to skip the wait. The atmosphere is very cozy and cute, making it a great place to come catch up with friends over a tasty meal! They also serve Frosé (Frozen Rosé) on a little cart right outside their restaurant which is a yummy little treat on a hot summer day. Last time we went, we enjoyed the classic Caesar salad and their Butternut Squash Ravioli (cooked to perfection). Will definitely be coming back when I crave Italian again!
