Yelp
This is my fourth time coming here, and this experience took the cake!
The occasion was mom's birthday.
For context: my parents are very picky, sensitive, slow-trusting type people.
They believe most restaurant food is too salty or too sweet, or they believe they can make the dish better at home.
We haven't been out for a birthday since pre-pandemic, so this outing was a very momentous occasion.
High praise to The Pastaria & Market for helping us celebrate this occasion and giving us such a wonderful experience with the food!
Reservations via website are easy to make. Got to the restaurant 15 mins early, waited less than 5, got seated.

Food
Kale and fennel salad: a classic must-try here. Dark leafy greens, sprinkles of fennel, almonds, golden raisins (I hate raisins but I found myself looking for them in this dish!), green goddess dressing. Light, refreshing, not too filling.
Melted Brie: another classic absolute must-try!!! If there's one thing I crave, it's this. The roasted garlic cloves are soft, spreadable, and add such a good flavor to the bubbling hot Brie; the bread is warm, fresh, and soft (no stale bread here!).
Add the jam--you won't regret it! They seem to cycle between different types of jams. The last times I came, it was a berry jam. Today was actually orange marmalade, and it still worked so well with the Brie.
Arancini: nicely coated with crispness, soft rice inside. 3 Little balls of fun plopped onto a red sauce. Simple.
Lentil soup: no expectations for this, but kept finding myself eating one spoonful after another! I'm not a lentil person, nor am I a person to order soup at a restaurant, but I'm happy about this dish too.
Pasta Primadonna: how can you say no to fresh, hand made pasta???? You can't! This one had the perfect balance of texture, flavor, and portion.
Only gripe: bacon bits were sooooo salty. Easy to avoid.
Burrata pizza: my parents like doughy, chewy pizza that has lots of flavors of different kids. The sweetness of the honey, the freshness of the arugula, slight kick of the chili, cool moisture of the burrata was perfection!
Also, a complimentary birthday dessert for the mom!

Other things:
- our server was so kind and thoughtful. He would ask if we needed a soup serving spoon, gave us a dish for prawn tails--I think most servers tend to wait until you need something, but Westin was proactive and offered things without hesitation.
- the noise level is pretty loud during lunch hour. Around 2:30 pm it simmered down, but because the kitchen is open to the dining area, you can hear the banging and clattering of dishes, utensils, and cups. You may have to yell to get your party to hear you.

Another successful meal here at The Pastaria & Market.
Excited for next time!
