Google
The Pecan Grill and Brewery left me absolutely speechless! During my first visit with my boyfriend, we spent the night in Las Cruces for a country concert, and this place was conveniently located by the Mesilla Mall. The drinks and food were excellent—simply amazing! It’s truly a must-try. Our server was fantastic; he asked if it was our first time and offered great drink recommendations. He also helped me customize my meal to perfectly fit my desires. Again, wow! I highly recommend this gem for anyone in the area!

Google
Ponzu Ahi never disappoints here, so delicious! I skipped the jalapeños. Prime Rib Tuesday... wow, very flavorful! Great Tea Time Mocktail, just sweet enough to be amazing!

Susan McIntyre

Google
The lava burger was a tasteless burger topped with cheap cheese. The lettuce was disgusting. It should never have been put on a plate! The sweet potato fries were waffle shaped out of a bag, served with maple syrup dip. Horrible! I wanted to give this place a chance but they really blew it!

Google
Me and my mom had a wonderful lunch here. We also had a wonderful server named Demetrius. He was a 10/10 on checking if everything was excellent. He had an amazing personality. He always smiled when he came by to check on us. He mad sure we didn't run out of water or our drinks. We enjoyed our lunch and will come back in the future.

My fiancee and I went her for the first time in April. I had the meatloaf. The atmosphere was nice. Mixed drink prices are very reasonable. I had a cucumber smash it was amazing! I don't live in Las Cruces, but next time I go there, I'd go back to The Pecan Grill & Brewery.

Google
Love our stop here. Wife had pecan crusted chicken and green chile beer. I had lava burger and pils. All was excellent. Abby was our server and was fast, friendly and knowledgeable. A great stop.

Google
A great place to eat with really good beers. The lighting in there is incredibly dark though! If your eyesight is remotely bad, bring a small flashlight. It was an interesting vibe, but the lighting was almost too much to bear, especially if you go outside into the sun after. The pecan crusted chicken in any form is amazing, as expected. The Green Chile ranch dressing is the best I've ever tasted. Great flavor with no actual spice. The bathrooms were clean and it is wheelchair accessible to almost the entire restaurant.

We had an excellent dinner! The food was on point, especially the pecan crusted salmon! The service Taylor provided was super awesome! Anthony took time to talk with us and made us feel right at home our first night in New Mexico!

Yelp
Anniversary Dinner The food and drinks were spot on as well as the welcoming vibe.Vincent was our server this evening and he was fantastic. He knew the beer menu well and recommended a great choice for my husband. Kind, friendly, and attentive--he really made our night better. Thank you Vincent!

Yelp
We came on Sunday night and it wasn't very busy. We got the pecan breaded stuffed green chiles, the fish and chips, and happy hour quesadilla (happy hour all day on Sunday's) and everything was delicious. 2024 #39

Yelp
Considerate, friendly service, but the taste and quality of the food, Yuk, and the food item cost is not inexpensive. Many other places in Cruces to find a better value and better food.

Yelp
Can't say enough good things about this place. We're visiting from out of town and our local friends recommended it. Stopped in for appetizers and drinks our first night in town and had to come back the next morning for brunch as well. Stuffed chiles and beer cheese fondue were bith great. The Monte Cristo was the absolute best I've EVER had, and the beer battered fries that come with it were among the best I've ever had too. All the cocktails my wife tried were fantastic, and the Pecan Amber Ale is probably my new favorite beer ever. Justin was our bartender/server both times we went in and he was excellent. Friendly, engaging, and made some great recommendations. I wish we had a Pecan Grill back in LA. Definitely check it out if you're in Las Cruces.

Yelp
I was dining alone. After reaching Las Cruces after a 4-Hour drive I was pretty hungry. So I stopped here because I actually like the name of the place. I asked her table outside on the patio. My server probably arrived give me a menu got me water. We discussed some brews, and I decided on the pecan beer. It was super yummy. Waited a bit for my food. It seems that locally the crusted pecan Chicken is a local fave. I ordered it and it was very yummy. I had ordered a second beer and never really did arrive and then I asked for my check the server just said that they got really slammed in the last couple of hours that they were open. So while service was a bit slow I overall still had a nice meal.

Yelp
Awesome brunch date with my girlfriend. We had a lovely server who was very friendly and attentive. I was very impressed with the brunch menu/ALL DAY Happy Hour (Sunday) menu. There were a lot of wonderful options at low cost. We left feeling very full for only $40. Kinda unheard of nowadays. We will definitely be back!

Yelp
Ambience is okay. The service is friendly and fast. The food is very much okay. I have been here a few times and every time the food sounds better than it ends up being. Should be better for the price you are paying (not that expensive but not cheap either).

Janice B.

Yelp
The food, service and ambiance were excellent. Our only complaint was the extra charges for salsa and tartar sauce. $1.25 for each of these! How petty can you get?

jill C.

Yelp
This is by far our favorite restaurant when in Las Cruces. Dogs are welcome on the patio anx before the people are asked about drinks the dog(s) have a full water bowl. Service has always been great, food excellent.

Yelp
It was a casual dinner with my mom and 1 y/o. First impression of the place was positive by their very friendly and courteous staff. They saw us coming in - toddler and diaper bag in hand - and they rushed to open the door for us and greeted us with a smile and want welcome. That goes such a long way. The decor is very rustic, large dining area and very clean. We were seated right away as went in before their dinner rush. Our server Gabby was so sweet and sincere. She was also a very good server, even engaging in "conversation" with my toddler. It was adorable. We had the stuffed Hatch Chiles for appetizer. I ordered the Hatch Chicken Pasta, my mom ordered the Squash Pasta with (added) Pecan Crusted Salmon. I ordered the chicken and broccolini for the baby. I asked for them to almost overcook the veggies so he would be able to chew it without issue. The appetizers were decent. I think my expectation was above the delivery, but it was alright. My Hatch Chicken Pasta was OK. It did not wow me at all. It almost tasted like homemade Alfredo with a Chile and bacon garnish. My mom's Squash Pasta was actually really good and probably what I'd get on a subsequent visit. The Salmon was well seasoned, but however was overcooked and didn't look too be "crusted" in anything, let alone pecans. As for the kid's food... The chicken was so dry and the broccolini was almost as crunchy as if it were raw, so we ended up giving him veggies from my mom's plate instead. Overall, a pleasant experience. Something else we did really appreciate is that the food was not too salty as is the tendency sometimes when your eat out. They have the balance on that for sure. So we'd probably visit again in the future.

Yelp
Staff was very attentive, flexible and overall professional in every aspect. Will definitely dine in again. A++!

Yelp
We went to Pecan Grill on 6/27 for the first time for my kid's birthday (6/20). Valentino was our server, he was WONDERFUL!! Every single thing was DELICIOUS!! The manager, Anthony came over to ask how things were. He spent about 20 minutes talking to us. I had a prime rib sandwich, (homemade horseradish!!) beer cheese fondue, French onion soup, fish & chips , then my kid got a peanut butter landslide for dessert! We found out that the manager had comped my soup & my kid's dessert!' To find a restaurant with SUPERB food, incredible customer service & a very welcoming atmosphere! Very classy decor. I'm excited to go back!

Yelp
The food is great. We started with the spinach dip and it was very tasty. I had the zucchini pesto with shrimp. It was excellent. My son ha lime chicken and hubby had meatloaf. All were great with unique flavors. Service was good. Not too pushy, just right. The restaurant is a little dark but unique decor. Loved it. Definitely different from the chain restaurants.

Jennifer T.

Yelp
This place gave my child raw chicken. Management fixed this problem immediately. Thank you for that. Also, the stuffed Green chilies where good

Ethan K.

Yelp
Was really bad - to start off, nobody was waiting for us at the hosts desk - waited 10 mins and finally went to get seated. When we got seated, the table was absolutely filthy and our waiter didn't even wipe the table down. My lady got pesto pizza, was extremely salty, killed any of the good flavor it did have. I got chicken which was bland and not flavorful at all. The only positive i had was the green chilli soup w/ pork, which was very flavorful and enjoyed it. But overall not worth all the negatives. Service was okay, definitely could've been a little faster but I didn't really see any positives there either. Money better spent elsewhere imo.

Bob P.

Yelp
Standing service, wife and daughter are both had the salmon which I said was fantastic and son had a fantastic steak. I mistakenly chose fish and chips, which wasn't a good choice very dry and no fish taste whatsoever highly recommend, but don't take the fish and chips.
google avatar

Diana S.

Yelp
Great service from Joshua who also created the Mocktail menu. The one I had was amazing. Layers of flavors. So good! Then I enjoyed the stuffed poblano. Husband enjoyed his green chile pasta. All very good and we want to come here again. Especially to try all the mocktails!

Yelp
First time at the Pecan Grill. We only ate and did not try anything from the drink menu. Our dinner included the fish and chips, garlic tossed French fries, stuffed green chili, and cilantro, lime rice. I wish I could report that the food was better than just ok but everything just missed something to make it a little better. For example, the fish was battered using a house made beer. You could taste the beer and the fish was well cooked but the batter was over fried on the outside and mushy on the inside. Either the oil was too hot or the batter wasn't thin enough to avoid this problem. The garlic tossed fries had good flavor but were soggy from the oil. Even the coleslaw lacked acid to give it the compliment to the fried fish. The stuffed green chili had good flavor and heat but again lacked some acid or sauce to compliment the heavy fried flavor. The cilantro lime rice was too strong and the rice stuck together like wallpaper paste. My general sense was that whomever was cooking never really tasted the food to understand which little techniques to use to season and compliment the flavors in these dishes. Our server was kind and social but failed to follow up after the food was received to see if we needed drink refills or other accompaniments. She needs a little more training. Finally, it drives me crazy when restaurants charge a fair price and then nickel and dime you for things like a small side of ranch ($1.50) or $.99 for one minced garlic clove to be tossed with the fries. Just build it into the cost of the meal already. For $15 fish and chips and $5.50 for a cup of rice, I think the Pecan Grill can do better.

Sherilyn B.

Yelp
Our server was a sweetheart but super busy and forgetful. Not all food was up to expectations. Green Chile app was nice and spicy but tough to cut. Steak had tasty seasoning but steak was dry and a little tough. Baked potato was lukewarm. The building and patio is spectacular. Would give it another chance but worry it will be gone soon with how slow it was on a Friday night!
google avatar

Jenn G.

Yelp
Food was ok. Not great. Service was very slow. Pecan beer was great though. My son got the pizza and that was the better of the dinner options
google avatar

Yelp
Everything was amazing, love the attention to detail. Excellent service and ambience. The restaurant is decorated beautifully with New Mexican style, very clean bathrooms, also decorated beautifully.

Yelp
I tried ordering a Manhattan on my latest and final visit. And it was hands down the most appalling, abusive and toxic experiences I've ever had at a dining establishment. It started off normally enough and we went through the conversation of using rye over bourbon, the selection of antiqua sweet vermouth and the manner of garnish, and that I prefer it "whiskey forward". I had confidence of him mixing me a pretty decent Manhattan, I had some very nice ones there a couple years prior and was hoping for the same. Things went off the rails as soon as he laid the drink down. It was piss yellow, with orange amber hues. Not the tawny red of a proper Manhattan. I immediately asked if he shook it, but from the coloration, already knew he had. He said ya and "that's how we make them here". And rather than simply making me another one, stirred this time, he became increasingly agitated and hostile and refused to simply make me a Manhattan that was stirred, as it should be. He growing increasingly loud and hostile he raised his voice and gave major tone saying "THATS HOW WE MAKE OUR MANHATTANS AND YOU CAN ORDER SOMETHING ELSE IF YOU DON't LIKE IT" What a farkin A-Hole. And I told him as much to his a-hole face. Trying to make it out as if I'm the problem? All I wanted was a Manhattan, a whiskey farking martini. A very basic and classic cocktail. And anyone that's ever had a Manhattan knows you don't shake them. It ruins everything about the drink. And honestly, his course of treatment, the hostility, the offensiveness, being such a sociopathic piece of crap he acts as if I'm the problem, rather than his incompetence. and the acceptance of that by the staff? If this is normal or accepted, I don't care to find out what sort of ass crap they sling from their kitchen these days. This place needs to shutter, it's already dead to me and considering how quiet it was on a Friday night, likely in its way out. And screw him for demanding I drink it trashed and ruined and simply not get it how I want it and how it's supposed to be made This place is dead to me. It was only ever mediocre and better than nothing for "higher end" dining in las cruces. But absolutely not worth it.
google avatar

Aparna R.

Yelp
The service was excellent, but food was very okay at best. The spinach-artichoke dip was watery, but it was alright. And the hatch chicken pasta that I ordered was very mediocre. The green chile didn't really taste like it belonged on the dish, so I ended up scraping it off when I ate the pasta. The sauce was rather watery, and the chicken was also a bit dry. I may come back again to try something different from the menu!

Kat A.

Yelp
Usually take out-of-town guests here with no complaints, but after dining there this time will not be back. The pecan crusted rellenos were so tough, and despite inordinate effort, could not cut through them and were burnt, pecans bitter, and lacked seasoning. Everything that was fried, calamari, fish, hush puppies, were incredibly greasy and tasted like the fryer oil needed to be changed. The chicken in the piccata was undercooked and rubbery. When we addressed the waiter, he simply said "I'll let the kitchen know". He then avoided our table after the complaint. Spent $200 and most of the food was inedible. Should have gone to Bubba's, the restaurant next door, as their parking lot was full and Pecan Grill's vacant.

Cindy S.

Yelp
I was looking forward to Happy Hour with a friend, but was disappointed. We ordered a margarita and a rum & coke. Both were average. As our first appetizer we ordered the tuna ponzu which was well cooked and plated. It is more of a small dinner portion and not easily shared by a table as both knife and fork are required to eat it. We ordered onion petal blossoms with green chili ranch as our second appetizer - what a disappointment. The serving was about 7 greasy onion petals about the size of a small thumb with ranch, no sign of green chili. We did order a second round of drinks. The waiter came back and told us they only had half the Captain Morgan needed for the rum and coke. My friend accepted the weakened drink. How poor are bar inventory skills when you run out of a basic rum?!? The margarita had a bug in it. When we showed the waiter he said, that's a fruit fly, we have them in the bar. Just some extra protein. No apology. I handed him the drink and he hesitated and then asked if I would like another one. I declined. Again no apology, no offer to remove it from the bill, he just left. Between the curt service, the bug, and the poor quality of food - exception of the tuna, we won't be back.

Steven F.

Yelp
There are a lot of good restaurants in town. This isn't one of them. The fact that it's located at the mall should have been a clue that the food would be mediocre. Nachos were Tostitos topped with Velveeta and a few canned chilis- IN NEW MEXICO? Pecan chicken was over cooked and served with bitter broccolini and a small scoop of mashed potatoes. Meh. Their Pecan Amber beer is pretty interesting and decent and worth a try, but eat elsewhere.

Yelp
This coconut margarita is now my favorite drink of all time! It was light and refreshing, sweet but not too much, and fresh lime juice not a mix was used. Actually, I'm thinking I need to get the coconut tequila 1800 they used and try to recreate these at home. It's also topped with a rim of toasted coconut & sugar. Iam 100% going back for more the next time I'm in town. There were several other items on the menu I want to try! The bartender (her name was Melinda I think from Iowa) was friendly and helpful providing other recommendations for me while I was in town. She made great drinks and was appropriately attentive even though I think she was the only bartender and server on the clock at the time (seemed like turnover from day shift to night). I also had the 2 pretzel with queso appetizer which was good. The pretzels were skinny-ish than what I'm used to but I wasn't hungry so they were perfect for me. I'm giving it a 4 because it was mid April in New Mexico and the AC wasn't turned on yet for the year! Sweltering in there.

Carl Y.

Yelp
Cod fish was ok.Cole slaw was not good. Hush puppies were very hot and not so good. Very greasy food and just ok. Very expensive and not worth the price. Cheese burgers were ok except one was very raw. I will not be going back. Very bad overall. Need new cooks and probably new managemen. I was forced to to go because of my wife. yucky yuck.

Maci R.

Yelp
This place had amazing food! The pecan chicken was probably one of the best chicken I've ever eaten! The martinis were great too! The server was kind and friendly! We sat outside under the covered patio and they had a nice little band playing. I would recommend this restaurant!!

Yelp
I've been to Pecan Grill twice now and had great experiences both times. Last night was amazing. Celebrated my daughter's 15th birthday here and PG did not disappoint. The food was amazing, our waiter, Shawn, was attentive, funny, and made our night really special! Shawn deserves a raise! All waiters should take notes from him. From the time I made the reservation to the time we left it was a great experience. Even the person taking our reservation was amazing! We love it here and highly recommend it! Great ambiance, great for kids and for big parties!

Cathi M.

Yelp
Wish I had the option for more stars!! Wow! What a wonderful experience! Hadn't been in in quite a while due to moving away for a stint, but worth the wait! The ambiance with the three crosses on the wall and the beautiful larger than life picture of our beloved pecan orchards and old ford pick up truck!! Touching and endearing to our local heritage. A huge shout out to Ethan, our young server that day, and the young receptionist. Really all the staff went out of their way to be friendly and accommodating! Finally the food!! Zowie!! Grilled salmon - succulent! Fish and chips - felt like I was sitting at a seaside restaurant!! Truly wonderful experience in ALL regards you're looking for in a restaurant experience. Thank you Pecan Grille!! Look forward to being back soon!

Yelp
An awesome time just relaxing with an appetizer and some cold beer. Great drink specials.

Yelp
Pecan Grill is a prize for a nice meal. In town for a conference and feasted on the stuffed chiles w mozzarella and pecan breading; the sliders, fries, pickle; and the salmon w shrimp risotto. For drinks we had the pale ale and cruzen the rio. Food was served quickly and was more than enough for us. The sliders had a nice green chile topping and salmon was perfectly cooked. Risotto was seasoned well and had nice pieces of shrimp. Would recommend for a great sit down option.

Yelp
Meatloaf.... I'm never ordering in a restaurant except here!!!! Omg! So amazing!!!!! I know... I did not even want to taste it, but I did, and holy wow! The fish and chips with jalapeño hushpuppies.... by far the best I've had in a long while!!

Yelp
They have a really nice screened back patio that allows dogs, so we decided to drop in while visiting town. They prefer you don't bring the dogs through the dining room. There is a patio door to the left of the main entrance (when facing the door) but it has to be opened from the inside. We opted for burgers. The Lava Burger patty looked home made and was very juicy. The Buffalo Chicken Sandwich had a very thin piece of chicken breast and the fried breading was soggy. I prefer more vegetables on my burgers but my boyfriend does not. He was satisfied with the burger. But I was not a fan of their house ales. The Pecan Amber Ale was too sweet for a brown ale for my taste. The pecans were very aromatic which I loved, but I could not stomach a second glass. The Nut Brown was very tame and did not have a robust flavor like I would expect. Mixed drinks seemed to be pretty on point. If we lived in town I would consider this place for Sunday day drinking since they do happy hour all day on Sundays. But I would likely stick with mixed drinks or bottled beer.

Sandy Z.

Yelp
Food was excellent. Husband is very fussy about prime rib and said never had better. Grilled shrimp was delicious. Beer excellent. Justin made a great martini. Comfortable environment and great experience.

Lisa M.

Yelp
Great Services, Great food. I eat here everytime I come to visit my parents. Love the Salad Bar

Jeff S.

Yelp
Food was good, service was ok and friendly but the music was WAY too loud for a dining establishment.

Yelp
What the hell happened to this place? I get the pandemic and all - but you've stayed open and done pick up. So it's not like your kitchen closed and you started over. The cheese on the French onion soup was not melted because the food came out almost cold. My mac and cheese was tepid. The spinach and artichoke dip was good but not $13 good. There are better breweries in town (Pecan Street has a deal with Sierra). The Pilsner here tasted like water and the weird pecan and chile ones are more for the tourists I think than the locals. They do have a fairly full bar though. Our waitress was pleasant but absent most of the time. Kitchen staff brings your food. If you had an issue they tell you to "tell your server". Screw that! My side of asparagus was burnt and you want me to wait and tell my server...when she comes back by whenever? Ok. So we did and she took it away and we were not charged for it. She did say she was "shocked" they would serve it that way. Points for server. It was a Saturday night at 9ish. We waited 15 minutes for a table for 2. Okay...then they tried to seat us at a table for 6. Finally got a table in the corner for 2 so we could talk and dine. They asked if we had reservations. No, there were tables empty all through the dining room. LOTS of families with small kids there for a late Saturday evening. The first time or two we went pre-pandemic the place seemed warm and inviting even with the high ceilings and cavernous bar area. Now it seems like an empty warehouse turned mediocre restaurant. There are better places to drop $50 for some dip and soup and a beer.

Eleazar M.

Yelp
Food was great, I had a steak and it was prepared just as I requested it. Ambience is really good. My waitress was amazing! I decided to take a gamble after seeing some bad reviews, but I am pleasantly surprised and will come again! I highly recommend it.

Yelp
Good food. Good service. Good atmosphere. I would definitely recommend Pecan Grill. We enjoyed sitting with our dogs out on the back patio!

Yelp
We went here on Presidents' Day and tried the spinach artichoke dip, Buffalo chicken sandwich and the mini sliders. Pros: I highly recommend the Buffalo chicken sandwich. The mini sliders were good too but if I go back I'd order the Buffalo chicken sandwich. Con: The spinach dip did not come with a lot of dip and the dish came out scorching hot which made us think it was microwaved. It tasted good but for the quantity and price I would not recommend. Waitress was slow to take our payment.

Yelp
I've been to the Pecan Grill and Brewery several times, and so I thought a review was due. So this was on a Tuesday evening. Mia, my server, was very friendly and efficient. She had my Aggie Ale at my table within minutes of ordering. The House Drafts come in 9oz ($3.95), 16oz ($4.95), and 23oz ($5.95) sizes. She informed me that during Happy Hour the 16oz is specially priced ($3.95), so that's what I went with. For my entree I told her the "Hatch Chicken Pasta with Green Chile Alfredo" $(14.95) sounded good which she agreed it was a good choice. I ordered it and approximately 15 minutes later it arrived. It was steaming hot and smelled delicious. The Alfredo was cooked just right - not mushy, and the chicken moist. The Hatch green Chile lived up to the expectations we've come to expect living in the Chile Capital of the world. It was a very satisfying meal! The other times I've been here I've received similar outstanding service and satisfying meals. This place is clean, they sanitize the tables between customers, and everyone is friendly and helpful. Their prices are competitive with other restaurants and they offer a nice selection of food. I'm going with 5 Stars and recommend you check them out! I'll definitely be back.

Yelp
One of my favorite brew pubs, with an excellent array of ales. The restaurant looks like an old Claimjumper, with a variety of dishes using local ingredients like chiles and pecans. My only complaint is they have pecan encrusted salmon, but not cod or walleye.
google avatar

John S.

Yelp
I ate here with a co-worker on Friday, December 3, 2021. We were in town for a work event the following day. This restaurant used to be a Gardunos Mexican restaurant and you can tell from the interior. A very large, spacious dining room with booths and tables. We ordered the pecan battered, green chile rellenos with ranch dipping sauce. They were wonderful and generously stuffed with mozzarella cheese. We both ordered the cod fish and chips. Unfortunately, I didn't snap a photo of the fish and chips. The battered cod looked more like balls than fillets and we had three pieces of fish each and crispy french fries. The fish was decent but nothing to write home about. The service seemed to be fast and friendly. The fish and chips cost $12.99 and the appetizer $12.99 as well.

Yelp
Meh! Like meh City. The place is giant and really a non chain, chain like restaurant. Right at the mall where it should be. The food was bland and unremarkable. The bright spot was a very kind and attentive waitress that kept things moving. The patio And restaurant felt cavernous and run down. I was disappointed. Had a tuna appetizer with was over spiced. The green chili was only ok...but tasty. The beer? Again meh. The best of bunch was the dessert stout ...gave it a 4 out of 5 on Untappd. The rest were ok. Try another

Yelp
For the first time ever I had to send my food back. I have to eat gluten free and the pasta was so under cooked it practically crunched. Service was not fabulous and I had to get my food to go because my husband and finished his before mine came out. I was not even offered an discount. I was sorely disappointed and will never go here again. Only thing it has going for them is that it is a cool building and the bartender makes a great mojito.
