My partner and I stopped by The People’s Coffee while we were in the city, and it was definitely worth it! The drinks and food were delicious (with a good amount of veg and vegan options), our server was friendly and amicable to requests, and the ambience was perfect. TPC is 100% worth a visit, whether you live in Central City or beyond!

Ordered a cold brew that was a-okay but on the bitter side and a cinnamon scone type thing that was pretty tasty when warned up. The real magic of this place is the wooden floor slats painted different shades of blue and all of the natural light that comes in. Bright and airy with some solid downtown people-watching to boot. Also a decent place to hole up and get some work done- it’s never too crowded and has accessible outlets, just not the most comfortable chairs.

Google
Great cozy spot. The prices were reasonable, the coffee and muffin were tasty. The wifi was fast. There isn't really anything more you could want from this place! I think its wonderful! I did not try any of the sandwiches but they do look good.

Extremely friendly team—everyone was warm and welcoming. I had a London Fog Tea that was interesting, worth the new experience. The cappuccino was rich and bold, just the way I like it. The bear claw pastry was fresh and delicious—flaky on the outside and soft inside. Great vibes all around.

The People’s Coffee is one of those rare coffee shops that make you feel seen. It’s not just a place to grab a latte (though the lattes are amazing). It’s a place where you can slow down, feel grounded, and be reminded that kindness still exists in the world. Omar has created something truly special. He greets people with genuine care, remembers names and stories, and somehow makes you feel like you’re exactly where you’re supposed to be. The baristas are just as wonderful—friendly, talented, and clearly proud to be part of this place. You can feel the difference it makes. And the coffee is exceptional. The People’s Coffee is a little pocket of community, comfort, and connection. It’s one of my happy places, and I’m so grateful it exists.

Google
8/10 iced mocha latte, had to get it half sweet which made it just right- good mocha flavor not too sweet. Could possibly add an extra espresso shot to it as well. Nice little coffee bar to sit and do work friendly staff

Google
Great KICKIN' coffee and crepes! One of the employees knows AMERICAN SIGN LANGUAGE and it was great having someone that is fluent working there to communicate with We the Deaf. They have an outdoor seating area to enjoy your coffee and crepes. Located downtown SLC a couple blocks from the Mall. It's worth the walk. At least to me it was worth the walk, actually I was scooting down the sidewalk on a knee scooter.

Google
Super cool coffee shop with kind and knowledgeable staff! The breakfast and coffee were amazing. Whether you are looking for a quick on the go option or a place to sit and relax while you get some work done this is the spot!

Yelp
People Coffee is one of my favorite local spots. I love the colorful, well-designed layout it's got such a good vibe whether you're meeting up with friends or just hanging out solo. The staff is always super nice and helpful, which makes the experience even better. They're always happy to answer questions or help you pick something new to try. The coffee is consistently amazing. You really can't go wrong, but some of my favorites are the white mocha, hazelnut latte, or an iced matcha, all solid choices depending on what you're in the mood for. Also, don't sleep on their breakfast sandwiches--they're fresh, tasty, and the perfect way to start your day.

Yelp
Best coffeeshop in slc. warm and inviting atmosphere. The space feels both cozy and contemporary, with lots of lighting, comfortable seating, relaxed vibe. Best part of it is the staff that truly make the experience memorable. Every interaction was friendly and genuine, smiles and positive energy. Their attentive service is one of a kind ! When was the last time you got a rose from a coffeeshop on Valentine's Day ? All the coffee, and bite I've tried were great, weekly/monthly specials on both food and coffee. Overall, It's a must visit spot for anyone looking to enjoy a great coffee, delicious bites, and a genuinely friendly environment to hang out, meet my people or study

Yelp
Wonderful service! The restaurant is clean and well decorated. I ordered the iced matcha and the white mocha. Overall great place!

Yelp
So delicious! We are from out of town and we really enjoy trying local coffee shops. Customer service was really good. The shop is cozy and clean. The white mocha latte was so creamy and delicious. The match was the best we've ever had.

Yelp
I've been an occasional customer of The People's Coffee since before they moved to 2nd & 2nd. I've only had good experiences & great coffee here! They offer a good variety of drinks, breakfast, and lunch options, plus sell packaged Cafe Ibis coffee. Their mocha & hot chocolate are the best around, but everything else is solid too! They have punch cards to earn a free drink. I'm obsessed with their beautiful & unique floor!
google avatar

Yelp
Cute spot in downtown! A great place to work remote or just vibe. I got a regular latte and it came out quick. Lots of people working remotely here and it's in the middle of downtown next to maverik building

Yelp
One of my favorite parts about Salt Lake City is all the cute hidden gems of coffee shops we have scattered throughout the city. The People's Coffee has been on my list for a long time, and I was excited to finally check it out. It's a quaint little coffee shop with a handful of tables scattered throughout, and lots of natural lighting. It's apparently also dog friendly inside! There were two people with dogs when we visited earlier this week. Their avocado toast was delicious and topped with pickled onions. Yum! Your choice of white or wheat bread. I got an iced chai and it was really yummy as well. There were some people hanging out, some people working. It's a great little spot!
google avatar

Yelp
A hotspot in Salt Lake City! I've been a regular here for years now and am always greeted with warmth and kindness. Some of the baristas have become friends of mine and I honestly have not found a better iced white mocha in the whole valley! It's a wonderful spot to work from your laptop, providing views of 2nd & 2nd and bright natural light. Something notable is how impressive their marketing team is! Go follow them on IG to stay up to date with monthly specials and ways to engage with the community.

Yelp
Finally we found a decent coffee shop in Salt Lake City!!! Few and far between. We walked & walked looking and finally came across this one. It's a super hip clean space with lots & lots of people inside. They also have a small seating area outside with awnings. The staff are super friendly and eager to please. Our coffee and breakfast sandwiches were top notch as was my pastry. I will be returning here.
google avatar

Yelp
I love starting my day a few times a week at the People's Coffee. The staff is always welcoming, and the coffee is outstanding-- no watered down commercial stuff here. I can sit down with my laptop, tackle those first emails, crank out a few more, say hello to my neighbors and leave with a smile on my face. Honestly, that experience is worth much more than the price I pay for the coffee.

Yelp
Perfect in every way - nice staff, great coffee, cozy atmosphere. Even the block it's on is fun and funky. I look forward to coming back the next time I'm in the city

Robert K.

Yelp
This place has great vibes, delicious drinks, service is always top notch. the best mocha and breakfast bagel in town. Definitely worth checking out.

Bex W.

Yelp
I came to SLC to visit my sister who lives here. She told me to come here for good coffee and food. This place did not disappoint. Besides having fast service the atmosphere is peaceful due to the windows that light the whole place. I have been keeping it basic and I've been getting iced caramel lattes at every coffee shop I go to recently and this was hands down the BEST iced caramel latte I've ever had! I've come back three other times already. I live in Sav GA and no coffee shop could compare to The People's coffee!!! I also got the spicy avocado breakfast it was amazing, unique flavor 10/10 would recommend to any spicy avocado lovers.

Yelp
The People's Coffee had good coffee and some pretty good pastries. Our coffee was the perfect temperature for immediate enjoyment. The atmosphere contained unique, vintage decor and an inviting vibe. My critiques are that our pastries were not fully warmed (cold in the center) and they need to use people's names for their orders. There were many people waiting, many getting similar orders, so it created confusion on whose order is whose. It was a good shop to try!

Alec B.

Yelp
Really nice staff good price and quality. Although they don't have a vegan option they made one for me . Will try to come by again.

Cassie B.

Yelp
We had been trouble finding somewhere without a wait & we walk in & it's perfect. They have a booth waiting for us:) The hot chocolate was super yummy & same with our server. They were busy & very popular but they didn't fail to take care of us in good time. This was an awesome choice. The pancakes were huge which I wasn't expecting. I also got biscuits and gravy which was really yummy. I was so fulll!

Juan B.

Yelp
10/10 drip coffee and espresso drinks with great pastries to pair them with. Ambiance is extremely relaxed with attentive baristas.
google avatar

Corey R.

Yelp
Delicious coffee, friendly service. A little slow on the food for how empty the cafe was but overall great spot will be back!
google avatar

Brigitte O.

Yelp
Stopped in for lunch and afternoon pick me up coffee. In addition to breakfast pastries, The People's Coffee also offers savory lunch items, so I tried the turkey avocado panini. The avocado was creamy and the turkey was moist, and the pickled onions added some crunch. The iced americano was okay but the beans are a slightly darker roast than I enjoy. If you like a dark roast, then you'd likely enjoy it. It looked like there may be outdoor seating, but it may have been closed due to the current road construction. Overall 3 stars for the food and coffee and 5 stars for the friendly baristas hence the 4 star overall review. Thanks and keep up the good vibes!

Yelp
My favorite coffee place in slc Omar and his staff are welcoming to people and doggies I even got a bag of coffee when I told him we were moving out of state ! Will always visit when back in slc
google avatar

Daniel S.

Yelp
One of the best coffee shops in SLC. Super friendly staff, excellent coffee, and great seating in a historic downtown building.
google avatar

Yelp
i'd dock a star for the cold (iced?) staff but i guess that's just what the cool coffee shop kids do these days. but i do love that they have (what i presume is local?) art for sale displayed on the wall. may just go back and buy a picture of naked people. but actually genuinely it was beautiful to me- normal bodies celebrated. along with a side of americano drug. haylee is happy

Yelp
Located on the corner of 2nd and 2nd (200 E 200 S) in downtown SLC. I went in for a lox bagel today for National Bagel Day. Although they only had Cheddar Jalapeño bagels left, the lox tasted just as good! I enjoyed a cup of Jasmine tea with honey and some cold pressed juice to go (yay for the Charcoal infused juices!). The staff was friendly and helpful, and the place was clean. Really chill place to go do some work or meet up with friends right in downtown. I'm sure I'll be in again. :)

Trent F.

Yelp
Pretty good tasting latte's but could come a little hotter. Great service at the register while we were there. Semi easy parking as we stopped on our way over to Emigration canyon to check out Ruth's Diner. Wanted better coffee than what expect from a diner!

Amanda f.

Yelp
A little gem downtown. Stopped in on a Saturday afternoon for a latte with my girls. One got a an iced mocha and it was extraordinary and so smooth. The other got a hot chocolate and it was a tasty treat. I hit the blackberry latte. I finished it in about 15 minutes. We'll definitely be back. The barista was so pleasant and was delightful to talk to!

Yelp
Great space to work on tasks or chilling with friends. Food and drinks are amazing with great vibes.

Christopher Gabriel Lee S.

Yelp
I scrumpt here constantly and I could say wholeheartedly that the People's Coffee is positively YUMPTIOUS! Get the caprese panini on wheat, trust me. Everyone here is lovely, food and pastries are amazing, coffee is the best in the state. Vibes are perfect. Get a shirt (do it).

Harriett Stevenson

Yelp
Visiting SLC for a conference and discovered this gem down the block from our hotel. The service is warm and welcoming and the food is just delicious. A great place to get a little work done or meet a friend and catch up. If I visit SLC again, I will be sure to come back and visit The People's Coffee
google avatar

Sara C.

Yelp
I really enjoyed their coffee. I do think they need more menu options as they only had a lot of dairy based options. I think their tea is fab and the coffee was just ok. The vibe is immaculate though!
google avatar

Vy Van K.

Yelp
Another great option for remote work with a wide variety of drink selections including cold pressed juices which is a nice alternative for those health conscious folks. There are also a variety of yummy baked goods and savory options like a lox bagel that looks delicious. The cafe looks bigger on the outside but there are maybe 10 tables and a high top bar for seating. Service was quick and efficient. The only pitfall is parking can be difficult since there's no designated lot only metered parking although you may be able to park in front since there's construction going on.
google avatar

Kayla S.

Yelp
Super cute coffee shop and reasonably priced breakfast items. The staff was friendly and patient with a new customer. Decor was rustic and cozy.
google avatar

Casey G.

Yelp
Kind assistance with figuring out what little snack to fuel the remainder of my day. Gorgeous puppers hanging out with their dad... Guy next to me was kinda a loud talker on His business call.... Sigh Lemon poppyseed scone was heated up for me = a true treat! Caffe Ibis available ~ I will return...

Yelp
We the people of the downtown area, in order to form a more perfect latte, establish justice for all coffee beans, insure domestic tranquility, provide for the common caffeine addicts, promote the general wellbeing, and secure the blessings of the espresso gods to ourselves and our posterity, do ordain and establish the People's Coffee for the downtown area of Salt Lake. The People's Coffee undoubtedly meets the need of the people, people like me, sailorfoodie and also absolutely people not like me. You will find this cafe located in the heart of downtown, literally. From the morning worker bees with their newspaper trying to catch up on the daily stories, to the hipster students with their MacBooks trying to write their last minute papers, to the sailorfoodie with her sidekick coconut trying to get as many pets as possible, the power of the People's Coffee comes from the collective of their diverse consumers. Don't believe me? Go in and give it a try. Order a latte or even two, no judgement here. If you're hungry, no fear they have sammichs and a selection of pastry goods just for you! Grab a window seat with the perfect view to people watch and simply, enjoy. -Sailor out

Yelp
Great seating inside, somehow it's usually busy but one can always find a spot to sit and work on a laptop. Free wifi and spots to plug in too. The food options are good and quality is great, from vegetarian to omnivore (I think at least a few vegan friendly bites, like bagels). I really like the drinks here too. There's always a fun monthly drink and food specials, so that's nice. Some seating spots get really cold, if you're by the door or by the vent at the bar seating area. So, watch out for that if you're there to study for the day. Bathroom is a bit eh as well, sufficient though.

Aleshia M.

Yelp
I came in to grab a panini on my lunch break. I ordered the Turkey & Pepper to go. When returning to the office, my meal was nothing but a toasted jalapeño and arugula sandwich.
google avatar

Rose H.

Yelp
I love People's Coffee! This place has such a local vibe to it and the staff are very nice. Their menu is pretty extensive with food and drinks and I love their iced mocha. The location is also really great (very central in downtown) and there is seating. Definitely check it out!
google avatar

Jenny C.

Yelp
Coffee is well-roasted, but their alternative milk options are limited. My husband got a latte, and I got a matcha latte with a little bit of raspberry syrup. Both were very good. They have a very extensive list of flavor syrups! Cafe itself was quite packed for a Sunday, with barely any standing room - definitely a popular spot!
google avatar

Monica V.

Yelp
I finally made it to the new location on the corner of second south and I really enjoyed my time here. The space is very bright and inviting with plenty of seating available inside and outside. You'll still see an assortment of artwork on the walls from local artists that's available for purchase. There's also lots of nice lighting, plants, and their signature neon sign is really modern and eye catching. The menu has been expanded to offer more food items that sounded really good, but I was too full from lunch to try anything so maybe next time I will. The baristas were friendly and quick. I had an iced mocha that's made with organic cocoa and was just as tasty as I remember.

Yelp
The People's Coffee was right around the corner from my apartment years ago, and every time I'm in the area, I still look forward to getting the iced mocha. Since their relocation, the space is cute, and the staff is so kind and friendly, and the owner is really welcoming. It has a real local feel, and it's a nice place to just stop by for a quick bite or drink. Not my all-time fav espresso but above average when it comes to coffee in the SLC area.

Chase K.

Yelp
I had one of those mornings where nothing seemed to go right, but as soon as I walked into People Coffee, everything turned around. Sara and Gracie greeted me with such warmth and energy that it immediately lifted my mood. You can really tell they put their hearts into everything they do--especially the coffee! Not only was my drink absolutely perfect, but the kindness and positivity they exuded made my whole day brighter. It's rare to find a place where the baristas make you feel like you've known them forever, and I'm so grateful for that. If you're ever in Salt Lake City, do yourself a favor and visit--Sara and Gracie will make sure you leave with a smile
google avatar

Nycole R.

Yelp
Sort of non-descript and underwhelming, this coffee shop does what it's intended to do-provides coffee and a small assortment of pastries. No more, no less. It's a minimal atmosphere-with a vibe that almost feels as if the interior decorator got started, then never showed up to complete the job. But that's ok-it's a non-pretentious hangout that lets the people and their personalities step in where the ambience may be a little lacking. The coffee is good and the blueberry muffin hit the spot.

Yelp
Me and my daughters stopped here for a quick breakfast before hitting the airport. I loved the location and the cafe vibes were beyond on point! We came on a Tuesday morning around 9:30AM and we're able to find plenty of parking on 200 East. We paid for parking using the ParkSLC app (which is very user friendly and easily accessible). We walked south and headed towards 200 South, the cafe is nested on the corner of 200 East and 200 South. The cafe itself had such beautiful natural light and the artwork hanging was unique and engaging. There was also local artists posting their work, which I adore! This cafe felt very local and neighborhood-y, I loved it. The staff was nice, efficient and warm. They took our order and sent our food/beverages out quickly. I ordered a cold brew and my daughter and I split an Asiago Bagel. The cold brew was deep and full-flavored and the effects were right where they needed to be! The bagel was delicious!! It tasted homemade or around-the-corner-locally-made. My daughter gave me half of her bagel and we ate it in silence!! It was so tasty! This cafe is perfect for Sunday mornings or studying! I could have spent hours in this shop! Loved my experience and will be back for the same feelings and sentiments and vibes!

Yelp
I've heard a lot of great things about People's and just had the opportunity to stop by today, it definitely lived up to expectations! Had a lox bagel and an iced honey cardamom latte and both were very yummy. There's lots of tables to sit at and wifi if you want to do some work. The people are extremely friendly and helpful. I even had the pleasure of meeting the owner Omar who is dedicated to making sure you have the best experience! Definitely recommend checking this place out.
google avatar

Harmony M.

Yelp
I've always wanted to pop by here but never made an effort. We were up in Salt Lake for a concert and decided to grad a sandwich at Caputo's and grad a drink here! We came right before closing so we just grads simple drinks- a drip and a chai latte to go so we could chill and eat. They let us stay until we were done chilling . The staff was great :)
google avatar

Hunter K.

Yelp
Great service, great coffee! Asked if we wanted our lattes more or less sweet and offered a menu of different flavors plus cholula for any breakfast items. Cute interior. My only thing is you'd prob have to pay for parking if you're having to drive and park anywhere close by.
google avatar

Jessica L.

Yelp
The maple and spice latte is the perfect warm treat on a cold winter day! The white mocha is sweet and tasty as well. The coffee shop is clean with a chill atmosphere and the staff is awesome!

Enrique S.

Yelp
Great staff / baristas ! Tried the new monthly special definitely coming back ! Also a good place to chill and do your work

Yelp
Great spot in DT Salt Lake City Amazing coffee and the breakfast sandwiches were great too. Found it right across street from Airbnb and it was a gem we hit both days we were there. Highly recommend. Great service and cool place to post up and study too.

Yelp
I enjoyed my time here today. I had a breakfast sandwich with an everything bagel that was flavorful and delicious. The bagel was nice and soft. The hot cocoa wasn't as strong as I'd like but still tasty and I liked the foamy topping. Calming energy. Hip customers. Friendly employees.
