The Place Review - New Malden - London - The Infatuation

"New Malden High Street has several cafes but The Place is, well, the place to be. It feels like a proper local spot where everyone knows everyone, and servers brewing Monmouth coffee or whipping up bubble tea make the effort to stop to chat. It’s the kind of spot you’ll pop into throughout the day—for a morning flat white, lunchtime toastie, and slice of cake or doorstep slab of Korean honey bread among the after-school rush come afternoon. A relaxed community hub with top coffee and sweet treats seven days a week." - Daisy Meager

A Hidden Gem Discovered on Father’s Day We stumbled upon this hidden gem on Father’s Day for brunch and were pleasantly surprised! The atmosphere was warm and inviting, and at $39.95 per person with bottomless mimosas, it was well worth it. The food was absolutely delicious — I had the chicken tenders, waffles, and home fries, while my husband went with the steak and eggs. Everything was flavorful and cooked perfectly. We were disappointed to learn that The Place is closing in just two weeks — we only wish we had found it sooner! We’re definitely planning one more visit before they shut their doors.

Came here for the first time today at around 2 PM. Not many people were in so we got seated very quickly. The vibe is very chill, with a lot of alternative rock in the background. Our waitress Caroline was very nice and gave great recommendations. The food was over the top. We had wings and the mac and cheese for our appetizers and let me tell you— good isn’t even the word. We were so busy chowing down on the apps that by the time our food came, we were already halfway full. My husband got the tricolor tortellini and I had the chimichurri hanger steak with the mashed potatoes. Beyond amazing and packed with flavor. I can’t wait to come back and try the other menu items when I’m done with my food coma.

Food was good, and service was good as well. This place is pretty big with lots of tables and a nice outdoor seating area. I had the mojito hanger steak (well cooked) , house side salad (fresh) and lettuce wrap (very tasty). They need to improve their wings (plain wings were extremely bland)

The steak and eggs were delicious. We were the first one to be in. I like it quiet and friendly the mimosas were ok. Will go back.

Came in tonight for my usual pool table extravaganzas and the pool tables are gone. Please bring the pool tables back. The bar was so empty on a Thursday and even Monday night. Tbis is not ok. BRING THE FUN BACK

We went for the igloo.being gluten free and vegetarian I didn't find a whole bunch on the menu. It was really the igloo experience that sold it for me. Iy was so fun to feel secure and he able to dance and have a great time without the worry. The food was okay the arugula salad was a great flavor combination and the homemade vinaigrette really set it off. Not much else stood out for me on the menu would go there again for the igloo. Our waitress was really friendly and attentive. She was running outside without a jacket to wait on us and did a stellar job.

Google
Know the place for a few years but since 2 years ago it went down the hill.got to the restaurant for the sunday brunch and waited 10 min to be seated and i realized after i got seated by the server that the host was outside just on her phone and taking "sun baths". Food was reasonable for the price but service was bad.when i mean bad im being respectful. Super understaff, with a full bar of guests watching the football game, the management should think better about the team. Really poor management.if you want to stop for a drink with friends its great.besides that avoid it.

Owner is very mean and the irs has her books closing I see why food sucks 😝

Yelp
Food was great. Bartender/server was even better. One guy in our group has allergies - bartender was handling everything in the whole place & he was still great about making sure everything was safe. 100% recommend.

Yelp
Keeping this review pretty short: Environment/ Ambiance: music was good/ fairly empty on a Sunday afternoon. Service: I wouldn't recommend this place. The waiter took more than 20 mins to arrive to the table and take our order and it was only 1 other table ordering. The waiter was not welcoming and seem like he did not want to be there. Food: I ordered the chipotle chicken sandwich and was not a fan. The breading tasted like falafel. And the sandwich was cold. The sweet potato waffle fries I ordered was warm and crunchy in the outside and cold in the inside. The kids Mac and cheese was also cold and the kids did not want it.

Yelp
Love the atmosphere- and of course the staff. The food is delicious. Something for everyone from Vegan options to anything you can think of.

Yelp
Food was okay. Service was okay we were the first one to come in on a Friday. Plus there was a fly flying beside us while eating. Was hoping for a brunch but they only serve it on Saturday and Sundays.

Yelp
So we decided to celebrate Mother's Day at "The Place" (Bar and grill) in New City. This year we were 5 @ $45 pp with a 11-1:30 pm seating (w/ 11am rsvp) including bottomless mimosas. Unfortunately, the experience was not the same as last year. The greeter at front seemed lost. Her scrambling was due a bunch of forms at greeting desk, but none for the reserved for seating. After sitting us, it was another 15 min for any type of acknowledgement (server intro/water/mimosa order). At around 11:30 food set up was pretty much complete. Though last year was by tables being called this year was swarm to the serving table yourself. However, with all that, probably short staffed and trying to do their best, the true disappointment was about 12:30. Yes, this was when I looked at the serving table and still saw some food platters still scattered with no sign of dessert. Though this may mean nothing to you the reader. I have a sweet tooth. Therefore, last year's variety of sweets- cakes/cookies/cheesecake etc and coffee was expected. Though it was not on the advertisement form either. So I decided to ask our server Gio if dessert was coming out? He asked the young lady behind him which said let me see. So another 10 min go by and young lady came out with a single tray (which there is nothing wrong with that). However, I would have preferred a- No, there is no dessert this year vs what seemed to be what back of house cookies stored for their staffers. Nabisco's variety cookie wafers/choc chip/oreo combo. With all that said, I think "The Place" could have done a better job at doing a dessert. After all the additional $50 service charge on the bill and $7 credit card fee, which I'm sure everyone else got, could have made up for difference. Hope Mother's Day Brunch is better next year for the ones attending. I for sure will not be back.

Yelp
Not sure of the food BUT the drinks were amazing! And it has a beautiful fireplace in the center of the room! Great ambiance! Outstanding service, no waiting!

Lilly M.

Yelp
I had the WORST experience here. The staff was incredibly rude and made my party feel like an inconvenience for getting lunch and a cocktail. The drinks were made horribly, some too strong, some not strong enough, and flavor was just NOT there. The food was NOT what it was described like on the menu, and had absolutely ZERO flavor and if it did have flavor it was garbage flavored. To put the cherry on top of our whole experience, the computer system was down so we could not pay with card. We had to use the ATM and the ATM wasn't working either so we had to sit there for an hour waiting for them to tell us to do something so we could LEAVE. Will NEVER be going back and I HOPE YOU DONT EITHER.

Yelp
Go here if you want a throwback to college, loud music and ok food. Not a location where you come to have a conversation with someone. You can barely hear yourself think here. They were running some games with brunch when i was there, which is cool but it just got too political. No matter what party you support, let me please eat my food and leave without hearing some political garbage on a microphone. That being said, the food was ok. Honestly it lacked flavor for how much you're paying. I asked for a medium burger and got a well done. Overall staff were pretty friendly. Expect to pay about 25-30 per person for a burger and a appetizer.

Yelp
Looked so much better on line. Maybe for watching a sporting event or just to pound beers but definitely not for a comfortable meal and conversation.

Yelp
We went for the lobster dinner special tonight and it was delicious! A whole lobster corn on the cob and a side of potato salad all for $24.95!! We sat out on the patio and enjoyed the beautiful summer evening. Servers were friendly and attentive too! I would recommend!

Yelp
Good food horrible service. 1/2 hour to get 2 margaritas with a low volume of diners. Waitress told us bar was slammed when bartender/owner talking to guests and staff.

Yelp
Nanuet NY's The Place is a square, glass walled window watering hole. There are TV's for football and news and plenty of beers on tap. Other pubs and restaurants in this dining nook had outdoor tables/seats under awnings - but not The Place.. Inside some tables were skipped for social space. The bar area was tight, people sat quite close and ate, drank. Leaving the door open, made the joint cold though (don't do it in Winter). Statewide New York beer selection like Winter Wheats and Saranac Lake and a few craft brews along with Stella, Coors, Bud, Sam. All in all a fun shop with bar food: pretzels and burgers and 'wiches. I'll return! Rebel review: 4

Yelp
Awful service and food was terrible. I ordered a medium well burger. When I cut into it blood gushed out. I told server and she told me I should have specified that I wanted it more in the well side.... I then Waited 20 minutes for a new dish with literally a hunk of charcoal on stale, cold bun. My server was not to be found and Another server gave me my bill. When I went to the register I explained that the second burger was inedible. She said she couldn't do anything bc her POS doesn't allow a receipt to be reprinted. I told her I'm a waitress and I know it is possible. She said not on their complicated system. It was awful. Do not go there. I only gave 1 star bc I couldn't post review without it.

Yelp
I am not from the area but was invited to this nice and comfortable bar (indoor and outdoor). The live DJ was so good !! It played a variety of songs from hip-hop, R&B, Reggae, Reggaetón- You name it ! I ordered some fries, wings and mozzarella sticks. We did have an incident where we received the wrong order, but it got fixed quick ! Definitely would be open to take the drive up from the Bronx.

Yelp
Best Brussel Sprouts, Bacon Jam Yes! Meatballs Sliders Unbelievably like home ! Steak Tacos Rare or Well Done The best. Bar Area very friendly and comfortable. Staff Excellent . The Best "Place" To have a fundraiser.

Yelp
The bottomless mimosas were amazing I will say that but the brunch food was not giving what was supposed to give I'm sorry but maybe fire your chief and get an authentic chef who cooks good food because the food was plain and overpriced. No flavor what so ever.

Yelp
"The Place" has a cool name...Let's talk what matters...covid safety. *They social distance the tables. *The staff has masks. *NO hand sanitizer at the seat unlike the restaurant across the street. (They may have had a hand sanitizer station inside but I did not see it as we were in the outdoor seating and the waitress did not mention it). STAFF/SEATING/PARKING: *The wait staff is nice but seems slightly overwhelmed by outdoor and indoor seating. *It has a parking lot, so it is a breeze to park and free. (I did not take many photos as there are so many people from various restaurants sitting on the strip and I did not know when one section ended and another began). We had a reservation got our seat and the rest of the outdoor section was full...so it seems popular. *The service took a while to even get the chance to order. *The waitress filled the waters again when handing us the bill which seemed like an after thought. BATE & SWITCH: *I went for their lobsterfest which was advertised on facebook but they cancelled it the afternoon of! (We even called that morning of to see if it was happening and they said "yes..." so this was disappointing. FOOD: *The soup of the day was lobster bisque and it was everything I could want from a soup. Worth it!!! *The menu was digital so I had to quickly glance at my phone and ordered thai chili wings when it was revealed lobsterfest was closed. The wings were good but not the best I have had. The celery and dressing on the side left me wanting. (Maybe the plate was too big which lessened the presence of the food). *My friend loved their lettuce wrap and to be honest it was much better then the wings. They thought the thai sauce on the wings was good but we both have had better wings. *We had a glass of wine each. It was ok but not memorable. *They brought out the wrong size soup (gave me a small instead of a large) and to fix this they brought out the right size and did not charge for the mistake. The 2nd bowl had very little lobster in it...This shows that people's experiences will be different even if they order the same thing. The soup tasted great in both but the more protein the better the price. *I did not go to the bathroom so I can not speak to that. The place felt clean though. My rating: 3/5 To be honest I have had much better dining experiences at TGIF. I would only go to a place like this if you are in the area and want to pay more for a cool name. (BTW: The name could also cause confusion when meeting up). I have eaten at better non chain establishments in the area that were worlds better. Some of these places even share the same parking lot with "The Place". "The Place" probably works best for lunch. Edit: I went back for drinks and had some bar food to snack on. The quesadilla was the stand out of all the bar food. The inside environment feels precovid as everyone is sitting at the bar without masks or dining without masks. Or smoking outside without masks but don't worry they make you wear a mask when traveling to the bathroom. The bar was not social distanced inside so we sat at a table and had a good time.

Yelp
I didn't want to leave a bad review for this place the first time. But now it's been a second time and EVERYONE in the party was upset. First time: Lets start by saying even the staff looked drunk. We had to wait 10 minutes to even order. When the bar tender was just talking to people. Ordered to go. Was told it would be 15-20 minutes for mac and cheese, wings and a burger. We waited in the car, and came back 25 minutes later and are told "only a few more minutes". We proceed to wait 25 more minutes when they tell us that they just got to our ticket. Total of 50 minutes before we got our food. To add insult to injury, the food didn't even taste good. My boyfriend didn't wanna go back. I thought we should give them another chance. Second chance: Went tonight, a Tuesday at 10:30. I can honestly say, never again. We walked in with a party of 5, for outdoor seating. Hostess says we can't sit at a bigger table for 8 because of potential future customers. So we're seated at a table for 4... which we clearly don't fit at, when she says she'll push two tables together. So we say okay, take the table next to us, for her to tell us we couldn't take that specific table, not because of a reservation but because only certain table are allowed to be moved. She winds up moving us to the other side of the patio. We order waters for the table, one rum and coke, a regular coke and 3 pink lemonades. The pink lemonades tasted like dish water, weren't sweet, and were barely even pink. The rum and coke had something yellow/greenish floating in it. (EVEN THE WAITRESS WAS DISGUSTED LOOKING AT IT). We sent all the drinks back except for the regular coke, and that's because our friend didn't want to complain anymore, and we wanted to eat and leave. Even the coke was flat. For food we ordered -Mozzarella sticks -fried chicken - buffalo chicken sliders -fried chicken sandwich -burger - hipster fries Out of the WHOLE meal the only tolerable things to eat were the hipster fries and mozzarella sticks. I do not recommend. I tried giving it a second chance. My friends were clearly not happy with my choice. Plus there was a sign saying that there will not be a service charge on parties less than 8. We were a party of 5 and still got the service charge.

Beth F.

Yelp
Fantastic footballs specials, so many TVS I can watch every single game! Such friendly service and the food is amazing! They even have a menu for dogs on the patio.

Yelp
We went in a Sunday for the brunch. The entrance is tight, almost an obstacle. If you are going for the sports and games it's a nice place. For a family brunch or meal , man is it loud and noisy. Nice variety on the menu. The brunch seems overpriced so we went for the menu. Portions are large and the staff is friendly. But it was not really good for our group. Too loud to talk to each other.

Yelp
Came here for lunch with a friend, past client I sold a home to about two years ago. We came here for a great burger. I had the smoked bbq and she has the classic burger. The seating was fast and the service was good. Great place in New a City. Very good burger and French h fries Nice craft beer Cool ambience Live band and dj with different showcases

Yelp
Came here for Sunday brunch to celebrate my friends birthday. We reserved an igloo for 7 people. It was ready upon arrival, and it was nice and cozy inside. It was a great experience! I can't remember our servers name but she was super sweet and attentive. She kept the mimosas flowing the entire time. Our food was really good. I highly recommend the chicken and waffles! We also appreciated the speaker inside to play our own music. I would definitely return!

Yelp
Was looking forward to eating here for Mother's Day brunch, which I reserved a week prior. I informed the front desk that it will be 5 adults and 3 children ( 2 were going to be 3 month old babies). Once we arrived they had a booth reserved for us and not a table. How in the world are we going to sit with two newborns in car seats and strollers in a booth?! The hostess was very dismissive and didn't seem to care that my FIRST Mother's Day was ruined. We couldn't go anywhere else because everywhere else was booked. Next time if you call to make reservations at this place be more specific so that they can make the right accommodations for you. Since apparently I was not clear enough.

Yelp
The food was ok but the murder mystery is what really made it amazing. Had a blast and the staff was hilarious and super fun to hang out with. Would come again for any future shows

Yelp
Their dueling piano brunch is the best!!!! So much fun and they really do the bottomless mimosas. The brunch food isn't very good though. I've also been for drinks. While they can make some good cocktails they're incredibly over priced for the areas. Never had a meal I truly enjoyed there

Helen S.

Yelp
My friend and I had dinner in The Place this evening. We were pleasantly surprised. We had a great time! Dinner was delicious Blackened Shrimp Tacos , rice and French Onion Soup as an appetizer. My friend had The mojito marinated hanger steak. He said it was delicious. The service was excellent , Anna was our waitress, she was excellent , very attentive and extremely sweet. We also loved Carlos, he had a great personality and our food came out timely and Hot! Thank you for giving us such a great evening at The Place. We will see you soon

Jennifer M.

Yelp
we went last night for a PTA dinner. Jenna and her staff was more than accommodating. We had a nice variety of our menu. The food was outstanding! Needless to say we will be going back on a weekend to watch some of the bands and try more of the menu!

Yelp
Wish I could give it zero stars. Did an open bar and was told people who weren't drinking could do the open bar and not pay...then when we got there and the owner couldn't even come tell us (herself) that she lied, and she had the hostess deliver the message. My cousin (who is now sober) had to leave because she didn't want to pay $60 to drink water. Then I asked for an extra wrist band for the open bar because mine was too loose, and they got cheap and were like "let me check if there's enough" WHAT. The food wasn't even put out. We barely saw it. Shots were not included. I also think the food sucks anyway so I would not go here.

Yelp
Had to wait an hour and a half just to get the bartenders attention to get my card back.. never asked for a tab nor was I asked if I wanted to start one. Wasted most the night standing at the bar trying to just accomplish this. Bartenders were too busy hitting their vapes at bar to notice I was never returned my card. I understand being busy but there's no excuse for any customer to be waiting over an hour. Very unhappy with the service and I do not suggest this place. Go to characters bar and grill instead for good service and way better food!!
google avatar

Yelp
I will never come here again! The service was horrible ! The server took my plate off the table then brought it back . THEN REFUSED TO TAKE IT OFF THE BILL "BC MIMOSAS" Charged for bottomless and drank 2 mimosas. Was brought the bill and charged for "bottomless" but wasn't even here an hour! The service here is horrible don't waste ur time go to Hudson mills for GREAT SERVICE AND FOOD NEVER AGAIN!!!!!!! I see now why it's empty and no one comes !

Armandina F.

Yelp
I hate to leave a bad review but... This is the second time I've come here in the past three Months and there was (the same) fuzzy red thing stuck to the inside of my drinks glass. We had only ordered the one drink and when We told the waitress that we didn't want it, can we get our card so we could leave she said it was "$10 minimum" even though we didn't want anything and had to get two beers to close the tap to leave . The time before this we also had a waitress that had an attitude.

Yelp
We placed a pretty big order for family at The Place for the first time today. Everything was AMAZING! Everything we ordered had lots of flavor and is way better than a lot of the American-style cuisine in the area. Staff on the phone and in person was so nice too. Some of my favorites were the skillet Mac and cheese that my kids enjoyed as well, garlic pistachio wings, French dip, and hipster fries. My family APs enjoyed the beet salad, Thai lettuce wraps, chipotle chicken sandwich, and fried chicken meal. I will definitely be back!

Ann M.

Yelp
Went there on 2/23/22 Not a place to have a party. think twice ! They have too many rules. Unless your paying per head do not expect any help. Jenna (owner) was unhelpful. we brought 29 people to eat and drink. She would not put extra bartender at back bar unless we paid $2000. she wanted to charge $1.50 per head to allow us to bring cupcakes for the birthday. Why?? You had 29 people eating and drinking patronizing your place of business. why would you charge extra for a platter of cupcakes that we made? they do not do separate checks for large or small parties. House rule! you must order two items per person if you want to sit at a booth. if your playing bingo and you win , if you don't meet your quota ( spending enough $ ) while sitting at the table you cannot win the bingo prize your card gets ripped up. Almost comical you can not Sit at a table if you have an open bar tab. drinks bought at bar do not count towards minimum requirement for table. We lasted an hour there after guest of honor arrived. big disappointment to say the least, we were all locals and will not be back. We moved our party over to Sazone across the parking lot. The drinks were double the size , double the alcohol and the same price. The difference was the owner and staff appreciated the business . They offered Kareokee at no expense and had no house rules. Everyone ran tabs and drank and ate what they wanted. Lots of fun . Pleasant staff. Great food for those who chose to eat. Get over yourself Jenna and clean your glasses and silverware . Your not the only establishment out there. read your reviews, you lose a lot of business .

Christopher C.

Yelp
The wings were horrifically over cooked. Dry, tasteless, and overall 1/10. It took them about 30 minutes to get them out to us. Very disappointing.

Yelp
Absolutely the worst Customer Service I've ever dealt with in my life. We had a dinner for 2 scheduled in an igloo in Feb. we live an hour away and there was an major ice storm so we had to cancel for safety reasons. The owner called (and was quite rude) and said that we would have to reschedule and she was (doing us a favor) by having us reschedule instead of charging us. So fine, we reschedule for March. Keep in mind, there is a $160 minimum when you use an igloo. We show up, they have no record of our reservation (that the owner made us schedule) and make us wait for 20 minutes so they could heat up the igloo. Fine. So we get a drink while we are waiting at the bar ($24 total). We expect the drink to count towards the total but, it doesn't. Doesn't seem like great customer service but, fine. We pay for the drinks separately. We finally get in our igloo 20 min after arriving. We order drinks and an appetizer. All good. We knew we had to somehow get our bill to $160 even though most of the items on the menu are $15. So then we order soup. Service was a little slow at this point but we didn't care because we know we had to spend $160. All was fine at this point. So about an hour and a half after our reservation start time, the waitress comes in and VERY rudely told us we have a 2 hour max and we have to leave at 8:30pm (keep in mind, we were seated 20 minutes after our reservation time because of their mistake). So this is where we remind her of the fact that we were seated late, we rescheduled as told, we have done everything they wanted and they wouldn't even count our drinks toward our total and they were being quite rude. Also keep in mind, they have FIVE igloos. There were THREE empty the entire time we were there. There was no line for igloos (and it's pretty clear why). So she just leaves. Never takes our order. Just left. So now, We are trying to stick within their time constraints and get our food ordered. We had to go searching for her through the restaurant so that we could just order and leave within their time constraints. Then, of course the food was very overcooked. We were just happy to leave at that point (and we still left within their 2 hour time frame). Stay away from this incredibly rude establishment. And the igloo....was a crappy clear tent with flimsy lawn furniture. Waste of time and money...

Yelp
Went here on St. Patrick's Day, with no reservation, no wait! It was trivia bingo night on a Wednesday and had so much fun, anddd it was free to play. Highly recommend!!!

Bridgette D.

Yelp
Worst experience I have ever had. Waitress was so rude, along with the owner Jenna. We had a party of 27 there eating and drinking, so you would think they would be alittle more accommodating and friendly. Not the case, they were so unbelievably rude. It felt like they didn't want our business and made everyone in the party feel totally uncomfortable. After being there for 45 minutes we gathered our whole group and relocated across the way to Sazone Latin Fusion. What a change, they were so friendly and grateful for our business. Don't waste your time or money at The Place food and drinks are not good and the service and attitudes are even worse. Go to Sazone, you will not be disappointed.

Yelp
We had 6 adults for an igloo, a 3.5 year old and an infant. I called Monday, before booking an igloo online and after reading the igloo policies that parties with less than 6 people needed to meet minimum for 6 people at $40 per head. When I called I asked "before I book this, if I have six adults and a toddler and a baby do we need to Meet the minimum for 6 or 8? Do the kids count since everything says you need to meet the minimum for 6 people?" The guy who answered the phone seemed uncertain but said "just note on your reservation 6 adults a toddler and a baby and you will only have to hit the minimum for the 6 adults." i said "great, thanks, otherwise I just will leave the kids home." He said "no, you'll be fine". I saw the policy said children count in minimums but since we spoke to the guy on the phone and were already at 6 people for the large igloo, and it required 6 minimum be met we assumed we'd be fine. We arrived tonight and we're seated in the first igloo. It was leaking condensation, was freezing, and had filthy and wet sofa cushions. The waitress offered to sit us in another igloo with a table, so we said yes. Our appetizer order was screwed up. They never brought potato skins we ordered. We asked the runner he said he'd check and nothing ever came. We were trying not to be demanding so we let it go. Then, we ordered waters than also never came. The end of the night came, and the waitress reminded us we were close to the two hour time frame, so we asked for the check. She said "you haven't met the minimum of 320, you're at 250." I said "the minimum for 6 adults is 240", she said "you're 8 people, including the kids" (remember one of the kids has no teeth and is an INFANT.) I told her I called before I reserved and was told as long as we were 6 adults we met the minimum and the kids didn't count. She said she would check. When she came back she said the manager "never does this but she compromised and is only requiring the minimum be met for the toddler. You need to spend another $30 so do you want dessert or something?" We reminded her we were at the time limit and she said "well to go". The igloos are dingy, don't look anything in person like they do on social media. The guidelines seem to be intentionally misleading, and my 3.5 year old son just ate a $52 mac n cheese. The silliest thing in all of this? They were so busy exploiting the extra $30 that they lost the hundreds we would've spent if we returned just one time. It's a strip mall restaurant that markets itself as high end until you walk in the door. All of that said, skip it in favor of Pearl River Saloon, or somewhere that values their customers.

Yelp
The service at this place is absolutely horrible. Not only was the waitress very rude, she would blatantly ignore my table and she would not even get us utensils when asked for. They are very nice to the older drinking crowd, but as a teenager they treat you very different then everyone else, and it is unacceptable.

Yelp
Food was okay but my waitress Courtney made the whole first experience phenomenal. She was very very at tentative and never skipped a beat. Food/drinks and condiments were all brought out in a timely fashion and the igloo wasn't as big as I thought it would be.

Yelp
One of my favorite places to go for lunch with friends or to watch a game. The food and staff are great!

Yelp
Took my staff to "The Place" for a staff birthday lunch and sat in one of the igloos on the deck. Covid Safety measures were great - We even had our own sterilizer! Igloos offer heat and bluetooth speakers so you can play your own music if you like! We had a great time, had plenty of space to hang out and the staff was very accommodating. We had buffalo cauliflower, mozzarella sticks, thai lettuce rolls and mac and cheese as appetizers - Everyone was really pleased. French Dip, Cajun chicken sandwich, pulled pork sliders shrimp tacos as entrees - everyone was very happy with the food. Will definitely be back!

Yelp
Worst brunch experience ever ! They called it bottomless mimosas but the waiter only came over 3 times to ask if we needed a refill. They brought us the wrong food and said they kitchen was sorry. One of the dishes simply never was served and instead was given in a to go bag. Will not be coming back

Yelp
So much fun!!!! Gave "the place" a try because a friend said they always have great music, whether it's DJs or bands so I had to check it out. Not only did we love the vibe, the owner, Jenna, was so lovely and accommodating we genuinely felt like family. It's more than a sports bar, it's like the new generation of Cheers. Go for the bands, stay for the wings, love the atmosphere. Highly recommend!

Yelp
Totally disappointed with the take out Mother's Day Brunch yesterday! Thought it was a great idea.. A sampling of breakfast and lunch items serving 6-8 for $160. After the tax and "service fee" (service fee even though we picked it up) it came to $190 something.. almost $200... would be ok with that if it had been good. However, it was amazingly disappointing and of the poorest quality... champagne and OJ for mimosas.. great! Downhill from there.. sausage and egg sliders tasted horrible! Full size chicken legs and waffles.. full size chicken legs.. weird. Side dishes (very small) of 4 sausages, 8 slices of bacon, scrambled eggs (ehhh), HASH BROWNS umm NO.. leftover roast potatoes dry and burned.. and inedible, small side of fruit salad, English muffins (the best side basically) and 8 cold shrimp (AKA shrimp cocktail) and a side of penne vodka... definitely not food for 8 people.. luckily 3 were kids who wouldn't eat any part of it.. and they like breakfast and pasta.. and I felt the need to keep apologizing to everyone for the poor quality! What a disappointment.. WOULD NEVER RECOMMEND! Happy Mother's Day anyway.

Yelp
Stopped in to catch the last quarter of the Cheifs Titans game Sunday. Ordered a burger., Corona, an appetizer, and a Chardonnay. The Place was kind of empty considering it's a sports bar and it's a big game. There were only two other people at the bar and they left half way through our meal. Well anyway, the food wasn't bad but the check was 67 bucks!! . I questioned the 38 dollar charge for a glass of house Chardonnay with our waiter/bartender. He said "oh I think I charged you for a bottle" Honest mistake? Maybe but I doubt it and we definitely won't be going back there again. I wonder how many others didn't catch that scam! I usually don't look at the bill but I am glad I did this time.
