The 15 Best Kid-Friendly Restaurants in LA

"OK, so The Point is not exactly a restaurant, it’s an outdoor mall in El Segundo, but the sprawling campus is practically Coachella for people with kids. You can certainly come here and eat inside one of the nicer restaurants like Little Sister, but the name of the game is to order food from one of the fast-casual chains and head out to the big lawn. Here your tireless child can run in endless circles with every other South Bay toddler, while you sneak off to Simmzy’s for a stiff drink and unspoken bonding with all the other red-eyed parents. " - brant cox

The Point Review - Navy Yard - Washington DC - The Infatuation

"If you’re looking for a group dinner by the water, The Point is always a solid choice. There are so many ways for a group to enjoy the Navy Yard seafood restaurant’s space: Sit by the outdoor fire pits or on the patio where you can take in the waterfront view, grab one of the orange leather booths if you’re tryna snuggle up, or at a table out back if you need a safe distance from a frenemy. Regardless of where and how you’ll sit, you’re in for a good time. The food here is satisfying and sizable, especially the lobster, which is tender and buttery." - Omnia Saed

Google
Super cute place! Many restaurants to choose from and nice shopping options too. There is a grassy area in the middle that was full of happy people. Lots of parking all over the place.

Google
Lots of shops and restaurants here. There’s even a play area for kids. Nice place to hang out with family and friends. Grab a quick bite.

Google
Great collection of mid casual restaurants and stores with place for your kids to run wild in the center courtyard. And the kids are running wild in the courtyard… FYI if that’s not your vibe

I visited The Point for a free concert. It has a fun, modern vibe. However, the parking was a nightmare. Once we parked across the street and crossed over Rosecrans, found a spot and settled in, we had a great time! Max 80's always delivers!

Many restaurants, nice outdoor area, plenty of parking and family oriented hang out place

Google
What a cool shopping/dining "strip mall". Very So Cal. I think all the restaurants have large outdoor seating areas. No McDonald's or food court fodder here. All the restaurants definitely have a modern, hip vibe. Lots of healthy type foods, but also tasty. The large courtyard/green space area has seating and an area where kids can play. There is an ice cream stand and full bar in the courtyard area as well. The bar had live acoustic music which made the atmosphere feel homey and intimate. It was a perfect Spring day and this is why people LOVE Southern California-- great weather, great food, all set in a casual environment. The Point is great for an adults only dinner or a meal or snack with your entire family.

Google
Nice little shopping center with some great restaurants (North Italian, Little Sister - great food if you are ok with lots of sweetness in your savory dishes- not good for low carb), True Food Kitchen (love the salmon), Mendocino Farms (crispy chicken sandwich), and Simzy’s Cafe (tacos!). Open grassy central area and they have live music sometimes in the summer.

I met family here too walk around and eat. Small and quaint.

Yelp
The Point is a great small size shopping center. There are many eateries, specialty shops and places to roam and relax. I counted approximately 9 assorted eating and/or drinking spots and 13 different stores and shops. One of my favorites is Allbirds and Paper Source. This is a popular South Bay shopping spot where the weather is usually wonderful. Since it is so popular, the parking can be a challenge. The entrance off of Rosecrans has a signal and there are many parking spaces at that particular entrance. I suggest parking there. So many try to find closer parking which is very limited. If you enjoy smaller shopping centers with just enough curated shops and eateries, I highly suggest stopping by The Point.

Yelp
It was a beautiful summer day, I wanted to stop into the Madewell at The Point to shop and do lunch at Little Sister with my dog. Being it is an outdoor shopping center, I thought I was going to have a cute day with my fur baby, until I stepped foot onto the premises to be bombarded with signs everywhere that dogs are not allowed. I was jarred by this, and obviously immediately felt unwelcome. So I just turned around and went to Century City Mall instead, as there are way more options of stores and most importantly, they are an outdoor mall that welcomes and loves dogs! Don't patronize The Point with your fur babies as they are not welcome or appreciated. And unfortunately I will never come back to The Point as any outdoor space that arbitrarily shuns animals is a big no in my book of moral ethics....

Yelp
Love it!! Great vibe fore a shopping area. Outdoor mall with trendy shops and restaurants.

Yelp
Easy spot to bring the kids to but easy to lose track of the little ones if not careful. Good food options for adults but bring something easy and cheaper for the kids

Yelp
The Point is a fabulous spot to hang out for good eats and some shopping. Nice outdoor shops and restaurants. There is a nice grassy area for the kids to run around and games to play. We love coming here whenever we're in town. It's new, clean, modern, open air vibes. They have a great selection of shopping and restaurants. A few of my favorites here is Little Sister, North Italia, Paper Source, Pressed, Van Leeuwen and Yeti. It's conveniently located in El Segundo close to the airport. Check out their website for cool events happening at The Point.

Yelp
What a great find. There are so many wonderful shops and restaurants in the area, including True food kitchen and pressed. I came here for a soul cycle but I ended up staying for a while because they have such beautiful ambience and great comfortable seating outside. They also have a Lululemon and other great shots, it's family friendly and they have a green space if you have kids and want them to have a place to play
google avatar

Yelp
The good: This area is lively and bustling with families and children. It has a high-end rich-person granola feel because of shops like Yeti, True Food, and Allbirds. Folks come to the turf to picnic and there's tons of outdoor dining options. The area is well maintained with trendy outdoor furniture and fire pit areas. There are areas kids can run around in. I saw kids play with scooters and tricycles here. There are water fountains that are very pretty. There's shopping and restaurants. My toddler enjoyed running around this area and window shopping. The restaurants were all pretty large so there wasn't much waiting required to get a seat without reservations. At night, the trees are lit up. The bad: Parking can get crowded. The interesting: Most of the restaurants are chains or local chains.

Yelp
We went to True Food Kitchen for lunch. Service was good, given a lunch rush the server was attentive. Food selection was decent. I recommend charred cauliflower for appetizer! We also got 3 different juices (The OG refresher, Sparkling Prickly Pear Tisane Refresher and lemon-lime spritzer) all were yummy. The price is on a pricey side but totally worth it.

Yelp
The Point is one of those realitively high-end shopping and dining plazas. It is home to a limited number of retail establishments and restaurants. These businesses are housed in a large, open air, facility that is very easy to navigate. One of the interesting things about this shopping plaza is that they have a small, park-like area in the middle. Though it is cover with AstroTurf, it is quite common that you will see people bringing their children to play on it and other people sitting around enjoying food or drink. PS: You don't necessarily have to sit on the ground, they also do provide some chairs around the grassy area. :-) Overall, if you are going to the shops that are located here or want to stop in for a bite or a latte or something this is an interesting place to frequent.

Yelp
When I worked around El Segundo, I would visit The Point quite often! I already miss it! For some reason, I wasn't able to find a separate page for the El Segundo Pressed Juicery, but it's one of my favorite spots at this outdoor shopping center! The rest of the mall is relatively station but not too large and crowded. Definitely check it out when you're in the area

Yelp
Might be 5 if the parking was a bit easier. Nice relaxed feel in the courtyard. Interesting places that Tyler Durden warned you about - but I digress. It would be 5-stars for me if parking wasn't so tight.
google avatar

Ralph H.

Yelp
Big fan of this place. A lot of shops, restaurants, parking, and very clean. Love coming here to spend time with family hanging out. You can bring your own floor mat to sit and have a picnic or sit on the turf too. I love that there are plenty parking spots and for the most part they are not far from the center of this place. The main attraction is a large water fall and green turf area where you can let your kids burn off some steam. I would highly recommend this place to everyone.
google avatar

Becky B.

Yelp
The Point is fairly decent when it comes to dining options however for me personally it seems like a park with restaurants due to the heavy amount of kids running around playing. As a person who doesn't have kids it can be a bit annoying trying to find place to sit and eat when parents are taking up the seats to watch their kids play or hoping a ball doest come and hit you or your food. There is a local park nearby for people to bring their children to and leave the enjoyment for adults with shopping dining and drinking to the other patrons. Summer concert series is an incredible feature while visiting here. They always have amazing bands playing but again the amount of kids running around and playing unsupervised while we enjoy our drinks and music can be a bit excessive. From the ada standpoint I do not feel they have enough handicap parking spaces available and a suggestion would be maybe adding a full restroom instead of a single stall. Often I find myself using the men's if it's too long of a line or I go to one of the restaurants I regularly visit. With all the lively entertainment and fun going on here more resturants would be a plus. I do have to say I love how everywhere is wheelchair accessible and easy to move around and everything is upkept well. Despite the flaws I do love dining here and visiting for live music and drinks.

Yelp
The Point is a very nice outdoor mall. Now, if you are on vacation, don't bother running there. It is very nice, but similar to other outdoor malls. Parking can get crowded but you will find a spot. There are a few nice places to eat there and Peets Coffee is there and that is always good. Also Lucky Brand has a large store there and that is great. They have kid clothes as well. We spent a couple of hours there and it was nice out, the place was super clean and most people had masks on. The ones that did not ---I don't know what to say, I rather not some stranger kill me. It is the law here in all of Los Angeles. Anyway, we will be back for Peets and Lucky Brand.

Yelp
Always liked visiting The Point in El Segundo. Great spot to browse, shop, grab food. I typically went to Mendocino Farms, Blue Mercury, Tocaya, and I've also been to Hopdoddy one time. Pretty much every restaurant has outdoor seating available which is quite nice, especially on perfect sunny and warm days. There are several water features, outdoor artworks, things for kids and adults alike. Family friendly, safe, clean, quiet, large parking lot, however can be difficult to find a good spot.
google avatar

Yelp
Always a stop after a beach day at Manhattan Beach. The Point has many restaurants, shops and an ice cream place. It's perfect for families. Lots of seating and grass area for the kids to play and run around. There are a few restaurants that we like here and one of them is North Italia...
google avatar

Melissa W.

Yelp
Such a wonderful shopping center/area. So many great shops and restaurants and good for a few hours out.
google avatar

Yelp
Weather awesome, food and customer service at Lil Simzy's awesome! Vibe and shopping options are great.

Yelp
We came on a Friday night with the kids to meet some friends who also have kids. The lawn was full of families eating dinner, having drinks and the kids were all playing having a great time. It's a great high end mall. Super cute. Great shops. Yummy food. They also had a free pinball machine out on the lawn which was fun.
google avatar

Yelp
Nice small shopping plaza with farm to table restaurants and selected stores, mostly sports apparel and jewelry.

Yelp
We don't spend a lot of time in the El Segundo area, though in the past couple months, trying to escape the inland heat, we have been close to the shore more than in years! Yesterday, after attending a memorial service in Rancho Palos Verdes, the family hosted a late lunch at North Italia in The Point center. When we pulled up, I was surprised. Never knew about this place, and certainly wasn't expecting the bright, vibrant spot we encountered. At 3:00 in the afternoon on a Thursday there was plenty of parking (free), and room to stroll. We sat outside at the restaurant, and I was amazed at how many people were off work and walking through the plaza. There were a lot of couples, in particular. With such a variety of places to dine, shop, or just hang out in a pleasant space, I can understand why. The landscaping is lush, and still growing to maturity. The overall vibe is colorful, with some touches of whimsy, like the signs directing you to various tenants of the center. I'd say that they're going for a "modern tropical" kind of feeling. I fell in love with one of the trees with large bright orange blossoms, which went well with the tropical atmosphere. A large water feature anchors the central section of the mall, where all the buildings converge. I noticed people reading, or working on a laptop, in the area with tables and chairs under umbrellas near the fountain. It would be a great hang-out spot. Will try to return another time when we're on our own and can explore at leisure. For a first visit, I was impressed with the bright, clean, colorful spaces with a mix of unique architecture. Good job, El Segundo!

Yelp
Came here during Covid to go to the Lululemon store. I was pleased with all of the stores and restaurants being open but the restaurants have outdoor seating that aren't necessarily 6 feet apart from eachother. It's like they tried to jam as many tables outside as they could. It makes it very difficult to walk through to go from store to store. If it wasn't so crowded and compacted, i would have felt safer during my shopping experience. There is parking on 3 surrounding sides of the mall. The outdoor mall has very nice decorations and tables and benches.
google avatar

Jody S.

Yelp
Now with some Covid restrictions lifted, the restaurants here are alive and full of patrons for outdoor dining. A great gathering place surrounded by upscale stores with a fountain and artificial grass for lounging and having the kids run around. Superba is gone but it looks like Little Sister will be coming soon. All the restaurants serve great food and different types of food to choose from. Lil' Simmzy's works well for a more casual place to grab a beer or a burger. Sugarfina meets your sweet candy needs. Paper Source is a great addition. Weekends are definitely busy with families and little ones running around.
google avatar

Nirali P.

Yelp
I would recommend The Point to go eat and shop. I like Pressed Freeze for their non-dairy frozen dessert in many seasonal flavors with many toppings. There are name brands stores to shop at such as Lululemon and Lucky Brand. If you want to grab a quick lunch, I recommend Mendocino Farms and Tocaya Organica.

Nick W.

Yelp
Nice post but the blinking blue light in the parking lot is a nightmare and makes uncomfortable to sit and eat.
google avatar

Patricia N.

Yelp
The negative for me is when restaurants charge for a second cup of ordinary coffee. Even if the food is good, which it was, this overcharge niggles me. We were at True Food Kitchen.
google avatar

Maruko X.

Yelp
It's a very compact shopping center, very limited stores to look around, and the point is surrounded by few good restaurants, plenty parking available near the entrance and behind the shops. The point is a good place for local people to hang out, family with kids would like to come here play and chill.
google avatar

William G.

Yelp
This is a nice shopping center located in the city of El Segundo. I came here the other night to get some Peet's Coffee. As I was not in any rush to go anywhere, I decided to walk this shopping center. The place looks very new, clean, and nicely decorated. There are fountains and greenery everywhere. The store fronts are nice and well presented. The crowd here was a pleasant crowd. Parking is found around the building, but can get tough to find a spot depending on what day and time you come here. But aside from that, I found no real issue when I came here. It's a great place to get coffee and walk around/shop a bit. I'd recommend.
google avatar

Brenton B.

Yelp
Pretty cool center on the El Segundo/Manhattan Beach border with some nice shopping, good eats, and plenty of other things to do. Location: corner of Rosecrans and Sepulveda. Parking: plenty of free parking Food: love the Superba location there as it has the same amazing menu with way less people compared to Venice. Hopdoddy burgers are good...love the Impossible burger and Good Night Good Cause. North Italia, True Food, and plenty of others. Drinks: all above have good drinks. Coffee fix then head to Peet's. Dessert: Definitely have to try fresh ice cream from Smitten. Fitness: SOULCYCLE! Grooming/spa: facial spa, hair salon, nail spa. Shopping: new Warby Parker! New Bonobos!! Lululemon, Prana, Lucky, Madewell, and many more!! Love this place!!

Yelp
The Point is a nice new and emerging shopping center, with a few chain retailers as well as boutiques and some nice trendy restaurants. The design and decor seems to attract an upscale "metropolitan" (i.e. Caucasian) as opposed to "urban" (i.e. Non-Asian Ethnic Minorities) as their demographics. I think it's what Manhattan Village should look as a role-model to strive to emulate as they re-develop their shopping center, as well as the South Bay Galleria as they consider a facelift. Del Amo Mall recently went through a redesign with what's called their "luxury" wing, trying to replicate what South Coast Plaza has in Irvine. I think the growing trend in shopping centers is to create a more beautiful environment and positive experience. It's a family friendly shopping experience. Parking is generally easy. I think the biggest draws are the nice restaurants. It's located up above the lower El Segundo Shopping Plaza, so this area is really developing into a retail mecca and region for social entertainment. The only drawbacks are inherent to it being an outdoor center, when it's really hot, really cold or at it's worst, when it's raining, it can become a victim of mother nature.
google avatar

Jaime W.

Yelp
I really enjoy coming here for all of the restaurants! I don't do much clothing shopping here aside from Lululemon but I love the options for both shopping and restaurants. If you're looking for a new restaurant to try, there's a good mix of places to choose from. I recently discovered they have a Little Sister restaurant that opened semi-recently as the only other location I knew of and went to was in Redondo Beach. I have yet to try this location but I'm sure it's delicious! They also have other American restaurants like Hopdoddy (bomb burgers and don't forget to get the Parmesan Truffle Fries!), True Food Kitchen, North Italia, Tocaya, and Mendocino Farms along with some others. Overall, the environment is beautiful and very kid-friendly. Parking is abundant but if you come at peak times, be prepared to walk. Another side note: If you happen to be nearby in the early morning, they have a Pete's Coffee!

Yelp
I hate big shopping malls but these outdoor shops provide a better atmosphere to walk around to eat and shop.

Yelp
YELP 100 CHALLENGE 2018 - 29/100. Not as vast as the Plaza El Segundo next door but it sure has a variety of stores and eateries to choose from. It's too bad they've closed the ShopHouse - I loved that place, but sometimes moving on to bigger and better things isn't too bad. My ultimate favorite restaurant here is North Italia (their truffle bread and squid ink mafaldine are to DIE for.) I've also been to HopDoddy who offer great gourmet burgers. I've shopped at Six02 as well. Not a lot of variety of what I'm searching for but still a good store. There's a small park for kids to run around at as well as a few outdoor seats to just hang for a minute. There are a few more eateries I haven't had the chance yet, so yes, a return visit is inevitable. It also continues to develop, so I will continue to be a fan. I can't wait to see what else they have to offer in the future. Here's hoping MORE parking is included in the plans.
google avatar

Mimi L.

Yelp
A fairly new outdoor mall with some very good restaurants, I think the restaurants here are better than most shops. For some reason El Segundo is as cool as beach cities, so it's a great place to walk around even when it's so warm everywhere else. I have three favorite restaurants here, True Food Kitchen, North Italia and Umi by Hamasaku. I suggest try one of them whenever you come here. We haven't tried the food at Hopdoddy burger bar but they have a full bar and the drinks we tried were very tasty and inexpensive. The coffee shop, juice bar and ice cream shop are great to have some refreshing beverages or desserts. For other shops I like Bluemercury for cosmetics, Lucky brand for jeans and casual wear, also No rest for Bridget for cute and affordable styles. This place has family events from time to time, locals should take kids out here to have some fun, they will love the little park here too. There are many comfy outdoor seating areas that are great to just chill and hang out anytime cause the weather is always so nice here. Now I can't wait to go back next week!

Yelp
This is a very lively little center with countless shops and eateries. Once in awhile I come through here, however, my recent visit was the first time coming at night (I was looking for Smitten), and I really enjoyed the energy. There were lots of families, and it was nice seeing so many little ones and tiny tots running around having a great time. I don't think I've ever seen a high end shopping center as kid friendly as this one, I think that's really cool. I wanted to snap a picture of all the parents running around the courtyard with their children, but understandably the momma bears were hawking me. The courtyard is so inviting, lots of little sections were you can sit, including one section with a fire pit, and the water fountain at night is beautiful. A number of eateries around the courtyard have outdoor seating, which is perfect because you can enjoy all the sights and sounds. The Point is a great spot for everyone to enjoy, and you could easily spend hours here...have lunch/dinner, do some shopping, enjoy some ice cream, and then kick back in the courtyard and digest the whole experience. The few times I've been here, it's been really nice, but IMO nighttime is the best time to enjoy this little gem.
google avatar

Sabina H.

Yelp
Absolutely love this place. I felt like I was in Mexico! So beautiful! Great for kids to hang out in the morning while their parents chill with morning coffee from Peet's.
google avatar

Brigitte O.

Yelp
Beautiful relaxed upscale shopping center with plentiful quality restaurant options to boot. We loved all the green spaces in which to relax between stores. The wall murals were also lovely and I particularly liked the colorful fish. Easy parking was appreciated. We look forward to coming back!
google avatar

Alana M.

Yelp
This shopping center is one where all the shops and restaurants are accessible from outdoor walkways. It is a nice relaxing place to wander about and to just enjoy the fresh air! I love the over-sized lamp, colorful fish & flowers murals, water fountain, and the seating areas. I haven't been here at night nor when it has been cold, but there are fire pits here, too! There's also grass to sit on (especially when there is planned entertainment like concerts) or for children to run around on. For your entertainment, there is a Foosball Table just waiting for you to give it a go. It wouldn't be a shopping center without shops and food! The shops look inviting from the outside, but are more on the pricey end. There are shops which I haven't heard of or are new to the South Bay. You will find Lou & Grey, Lucky Brand, Marmi, Michael Stars, and more here! What I am most interested in is the food. I've only eaten at Hopdoddy Burger Bar. I would like to try Mendocino Farms, North Italia, and I can't wait for the Smitten Ice Cream place to open! If you feel the need to exercise while here, you can go to SoulCycle. Or if you want to be pampered, Vicara Aveda SalonSpa, is available. It is easy to get to and the parking is just convenient and is plentiful! I prefer to park in the spaces near the Sepulveda Blvd entrance. I think most people park nearest the ShopHouse & Superba Food & Bread. Those spaces get crowded really quick! This is a nice addition to El Segundo! The developers wanted this to be more of an experiential place rather than a place to shop, eat, and leave. You should go check it out!
google avatar

Yelp
This is a clean, nice spot for the family to shop, eat, and play. Fake grass lawns have tons of kids running around, and nice shops (pricey) to browse...hey, the neighborhood is basically: rich people. Good spots to eat: North Italia, Superba, and Smitten. Parking is fine, and free, if you come early.
google avatar

Yelp
The mall is a little smaller than the malls in the Valley.Whats nice about this mall is the outdoor fresh air from the ocean and most of all the sunset.Priceless. I was out here today to look at a piece of property to possibly put a Restaurant location out here. To let you all know that Shop House is part of Chipotle.A must try. So many different eateries that I would have wanted to eat at.Next time. The one location that stood out was North Italia. This establishment is all open and you can see the kitchen as the cooks prepare your meals. Its been a few years since I've been out here and they have done a great job in developing this whole area of El Segundo.Very nice. The mail has a couple of nice feature's.one is the water falls. To be able to sit outside and enjoy your meal by the water fall is priceless. So relaxing. There still building in this mall with several retailers coming in. The parking can be a challenge in the coming Holiday Seasons. The parking lot is not to big. They do offer Valet parking. Not sure what the cost is. I was excited also to know is they have a concert series out here every wednesday at 6pm.I saw tonight a tribute band to Journey.Escape.They where very good. Overall a plus in the development in this community.

Yelp
@ThePoint_SB! I'm going to get straight to the point! I love The Point! The Point is the South Bay's newest premier destination for shopping and dining and I am loving each and every place. I got to visit today and really was impressed walking in. The outdoor feel is so refreshing. I love the al fresco dining! The restaurants opening up are awesome! I got to try North Italia today and liked it a lot! I'm planning to eat at Shop House later this week and True Food Kitchen soon as well! I can't wait to try Smitten Ice Cream. Can you tell how excited this foodie is? I also am super excited to check out the stores! Michael Stars! Lucky Brand! Soul Cycle! It's a great variety of retailers. My point is simply that The Point is on point for a place of fun, shopping, dining and hanging out!
google avatar

Asti A.

Yelp
This is a great meet up place for friends with children. It's very family oriented with nicer kid friendly restaurants. There is plenty of seating areas and the maintenance staff keep the grounds immaculate. The Point is smaller in size compared with the huge shopping centers in the South Bay; however, I always manage to spend a minimum of three hours here with family or friends.
google avatar

Sharon P.

Yelp
Open and in full swing. Several non-familiar retail shops (nice touch) and dining options. One can quickly stroll the grounds, the place isn't very large. It's sort of an oasis, a place to grab a meal, enjoy the fountain and peruse the shopping. I'm not the type who enjoys shopping, but I'd say the options are decent. Love the orange appointments - I still think orange is the new pink - love how refreshing the color is. Flowers, signage....lots of orange. Lunch time here is crazy - parking and eating IS challenging especially at the height of the lunch hour. Save yourself a headache, arrive before 11:30am or after 2pm to miss the crowd. Better yet, enjoy the dinner hour - not a lot of people and hardly any wait at the restaurants. Parking can get tricky but if you're really lazy, you can valet your car. Still a few empty units but will soon fill with an ice cream establishment, a bar/grill and likely more retail. It'll be fun to visit again to see what's new or changed.

Yelp
The Point is California shopping at its best. The sun. The breeze flowing through... Fresh plants all around. Cool water features. Concerts scheduled. Al fresco dining! Try North Italia. (I wrote a review for them too.) Before we visited, I knew I would appreciate Peet's (even though there is just a cart set up for now), Michael Stars, and Athleta (love, love, love), but now I think I might familiarize myself with quite a few of the other stores once the newness wears off. I'm not sure if I agree with the negativity about this shopping center NOT allowing dogs... Free parking. They probably have valet but I absolutely hate other people driving my car. Yelp
Checked this place out on Memorial Day and it was really packed based on how it took us a bit to find parking. Once we did, we made our way to the plaza and it looked really nice and in the higher end of aesthetics. There were a bunch of restaurants that bordered around the plaza and a lot seemed to cater towards the healthier options. There were a bunch of higher end stores placed here and there between the restaurants that my boyfriend and I would either pass by or enter in, which were really only two stores that caught my eye. The middle of the plaza had a grass area with a nice looking fountain, various chairs and tables to sit at and even a little section for the kids to play in. Overall, this place was nice to walk through, but did not have much to offer when it came to the number of stores and restaurants available. Definitely would have spent more time here if we had decided to eat here.

Yelp
This is a pretty cool outdoors complex shopping mall in El Segundo Ca. The parking lot is very huge, plus there is free parking 9:00am to 9:00pm. There are a variety of shops and restaurants here. The landscaping is so beautiful with lots of plants and flowers. The green, grassy areas are beautiful - park benches, tables with umbrellas and an intriguing water fountain. A few of the restaurants are True Foods Kitchen, (which is why I go to the Point), The Mendicno Farm and North Italia. This truly a very nice place to visit, to eat, to shop or just go to chill. One more thing, The Point is not dog friendly.

Yelp
This little outdoor shopping center is truly a little neighborhood gem. Located in the El Segundo area (near LAX), it was comforting to know this place is located so close to the hotel I stay at every time I travel to LA. Filled with a good ratio of restaurants and stores. Of the restaurants located here is Mendicno Farms, True Food, and North Italia. There are a few more that I can't remember. As of stores, there are clothing, bathing suits, candy store, and even a makeup store (think along the lines of the Fresh Face store) In the center lies a ice cream store and a bar (separate businesses in separate huts. I would definitely be back. Yelp Challenge: #27/100.

Yelp
The family and I have been visiting The Point 1-2 times a week for the last 2 months. We love the modern style, the open feel and the restaurant options. Currently it is the hot, new place to visit in the South Bay. We come for the restaurants, we picnic during the Wed night concerts (good cover bands playing songs we know, sound guy seems oblivious to the legions of young kids who prefer the volume to be two notches lower - too loud for babies) and we have checked out a special event geared toward kids (face painting, balloon artist). Restaurants of note: * Mendocino Farms - one of the greatest sandwich and salad places on Earth * Shophouse - affordable Asian style bowls, sister to Chipotle * Hopdoddy - beer connoisseurs will appreciate the great list of brews offered, chain that has been very successful outside of CA * True Food - healthy but tasty fusion cuisine Location wise, The Point is a bit of an oasis, aka hard to get to. It is not connected to the malls to the north and south. Parking already can be nightmare. (Why is every 5th parking spot reserved for clean air vehicles?!? The SUV driving mommy in me screams that it should be FIFO!) It really ends up being a destination you need to plan to go to vs a place where you stop by. The Point is still selling retail space, so I gather they are trying to figure this out. Currently, The Point's offerings are heavily skewed - there are many great restaurants but not enough appealing retail. While Whole Foods and Pinkberry draw us into the mall to the north and the Apple Store, Pottery Barn and other typical offerings draw us to the mall to the south, we have not found a retail hook at The Point. When the celebratory weekly concerts and events are over, will we still find reasons to visit and dine? We hope so but time will tell...

Yelp
A newly outdoor plaza with shops and restaurants right off Rosecrans before hitting Sepulveda in Manhattan Beach/El Segundo area. I came to check out Smitten Ice Cream. There are a few restaurants like Hopdoddy, Mendocino Farms and others along with other stores like Sugarfina and Lucky Brand there is also a Peet's as well. Over all a nice little shopping plaza also security drives around the parking lot as well. Looks like more stuff will be coming up as well.
