The 10 Best Rooftop Bars In Nashville - Nashville - The Infatuation

"The Pool Club at Virgin Hotels has arguably the best view on Music Row, and certainly the best poolside hangs. Day passes are available for the pool, along with options for daybed rentals, and you’ll often see events and DJ sets on the weekend. Many of the drinks can (and should) be upgraded to pitchers, and five of the large-format options are even served in containers shaped like metallic flamingos or disco balls. The food isn’t an afterthought either—the warm crab dip, that’s slightly spicy and creamy without being heavy, is a must." - adam sloan

The Pool Club at Virgin Hotels Nashville - Review - Music Row - Nashville - The Infatuation

"The Pool Club at Virgin Hotels has arguably the best view on Music Row, and certainly the best poolside hangs. Day passes are available for the pool, along with options for daybed rentals, and you’ll often see events and DJ sets on the weekend. The current drink menu is full of music and pop culture references, too. Babe You Look So Cool, for example, mixes gin and guava with sparkling rosé and was named after song lyrics from The 1975. Many of the drinks can (and should) be upgraded to pitchers, and five of the large-format options are even served in containers shaped like metallic flamingos or disco balls. Virgin Hotel Nashville Adds New Poolside Rooftop Dining Option for Music Row | Eater Nashville

"Located on the fourteenth-floor rooftop, I learned The Pool Club will offer a small food menu, champagne-crowned cocktails, boozy snow cones, and impressive city views; shared plates include smoked deviled eggs, littleneck clams, smashed avocado toast, and a Nashville hot–spiced fish and chips, while a small entrée menu lists an obligatory burger, steak frites, and salmon with greens and ginger peach chutney, plus beer and wine by the glass and bottle." - Delia Jo Ramsey

The Merry Moose christmas pop up at the pool club absolutely knocked it out of the park! The atmosphere is pure Christmas magic — cozy, festive, and packed with over-the-top decorations that make the whole space feel like a stylish winter wonderland. The food and drinks were fantastic, too, with fun seasonal touches that made everything feel special. A huge shoutout to Wyatt, the manager, and the entire staff. Everyone was so welcoming, upbeat, and genuinely committed to making sure we had the best time. Their energy really set the tone for the whole night. One of our favorite parts was the tabletop s’mores — such a cute and nostalgic touch, and delicious. And if you’re ready to turn things up, don’t miss the shotski. It’s as fun as it sounds. Overall, The Merry Moose is the perfect spot to get into the holiday spirit. Highly recommend!

Gorgeous views, a relaxing poolside vibe, and endless mimosas—what more could you want? The food is fresh and flavorful. Service is top-notch, and the atmosphere is unbeatable. If you love great brunch with a view, this is the place!

Google
It’s in incredibly disheartening when you order a MOCKTAIL & you are served alcohol. literally have a whole section on the menu that says ‘zero proof’. I’m actually pregnant so when I ordered a mocktail , it wasn’t supposed to be taken lightly! And even if I wasn’t pregnant, people may be sober, have health conditions, or may be under 21- when you order a non alcoholic beverage you should be served a non alcoholic beverage. The waitress was apologetic and made me another but at that point I really couldn't trust anything. They also brought my ticket out with the mocktail included and I told them I absolutely wasn’t paying for it since it came out with ALCOHOL and i repeatedly expressed I did not want another one. They took the drink off my ticket but no other actions were taken besides a simple ‘Sorry’ smh

Nothing beats the Pool Club at the Virgin Hotel! We had an absolutely amazing time at the Virgin Rooftop Pool Club for my bachelorette party last week! We booked a cabana and it was so fun to feel special and celebrated. The vibes were perfect, with an elegant yet fun atmosphere that made us feel like royalty. The views are spectacular, and lounging on the floats in the pool was the highlight of the day. We even lived our best lives with a shot ski, which added a fun touch to our celebration. Highly recommend this spot for anyone looking to celebrate something!

Google
For rooftop bars it has a stellar location and views. Having the pool just adds that huge bonus. However, the service wasn't that great as the server and bartender seemed kinda cold and the drinks were okay but overpriced (I'd go to the Patterson House next door). If you keep that in mind and go for the atmosphere and views you'll be pleased.

Google
Amazing experience. Hostess Shallom and Manager Kris were phenomenal. We already love coming here but the service, the food, the atmosphere….everything was top notch 10 out of 10. If you’re looking for good food, good times, good brunch, good fun, good music….things the spot! Thank you!!

Google
Really struggle to give this place 3 stars on anything outside of food and valet. Made reservations a week in advance because they are a stickler about them. Waited over an hour at the bar and eventually ate my food there with my party. Also got rudely stopped by someone asking if I was a hotel guest, letting me know the pool deck was only for hotel guests and if I had reservations I needed to see the hostess. I was clearly just lost and dressed for brunch. It was my birthday and the whole ordeal was off putting. I would never go back The hostess got the manager to comp me two "margarita shots" after I'd spent $120 on food and alcohol. Not even a full drink LOL. Picture because it was just that hilarious A dive bar at best!

Thursday Night Swim was a very fun first event to attend. The music was upbeat and easy to dance to. The venue was clean and had plenty of towels available. No smoking or vaping allowed. The crab dip was fantastic! Food and drink prices are a little high $12-$20+, but good quality.

Yelp
Would HIGHLY recommend! I am baffled by the lack of 5 star reviews! Cmon people!! Our service was great! Take it from me, I brought my PARENTS here! They LOVED it! We ordered a pitcher of Watermelon Sugar High- it gave us 2 drinks for a party of 4! We got great pictures and they seated us early! The food and drinks came out so fast, our waitress was so tentative and helpful! We LOVED the music! We all wished we brought our swimsuit! After we ate we sat at a double couch and watched the sunset with our last drink and enjoyed the comfort and relaxation! Our waitress found us so fast! We had amazing service and an even better time! Will definitely be coming back! If you haven't been here yet, you only live once. JUST DO IT!

Yelp
Food was great. Service was great. Drinks were great. Got seated right away with our reservation. Pool looked not worth it. Glad we changed our reservation to another pool option.

Yelp
The ambiance sets the perfect vibe, complemented by an outstanding DJ who curates a lively playlist. The blue crab dip is a culinary delight, and the overall service enhances the exceptional experience. A fantastic blend of atmosphere, music, and delicious offerings makes it an unforgettable visit.

Yelp
Very cool rooftop bar for some drinks. Came on a Wednesday evening so it wasn't super crowded. DJ was spinning 80s music which was fun. People were sitting outside chilling and a few were at the bar. Bartender was super cool and knew her stuff when it came to cocktails. Even though it was a slow night we still had fun. Drinks were good, music was good, Brie was killer. Would come here for a pre dinner or post dinner drink for sure. would come here with a larger group of friends to party too. There were folks sitting around the pool too, where the music was not as loud. Very cool place to come for a drink, whether you want to chill or have it a little louder.

Yelp
My friends and I can here Halloween weekend to check out the Queen of Hearts brunch. The vibe was very cool. We loved the decorations and that some of the staff dressed up. We thought the DJ was awesome as well! However the food was really disappointing, especially for a $200+ bill for 4 people. Three of us enjoyed the bottomless mimosas and those were excellent, as were the truffle fries. But the fruity pebbles French toast, hot chicken and waffles, and the breakfast wrap were less then enjoyable. We didn't get a chance to talk to our waiter about the food, as the staff were stretched thin for how many guests were there. I think if you're looking for a fun vibe to show guests from out of town it would be worth popping in for a drink, but spend your money on food elsewhere.

Yelp
Amazing vibe, amazing decor, amazing food, amazing drinks. This place is PERFECT for a late Friday afternoon visit. We stopped in and had many a cocktail and some appetizers (poke and crab dip) and they did not disappoint. It was a chilly day, but it was nice and warm and sunny on the rooftop. Loved it. I had so much fun here. Can't wait to return!

Yelp
Surprisingly good. I am a gravy snob, and it was so good--spicier than I'm used to, so it was unique, but amazing. I ordered the bottomless mimosas which was well worth it! Only taking off one star because the plating didn't match the prices. Make it pretty, Virgin!

Yelp
We came a week or so ago. When you enter the virgin hotel (where this bar is located on the rooftop), front desk staff monitored capacity and we waited about five minutes until there was room for us. Then, they sent us up the elevator. To our surprise, upstairs was sort of a free for all- we expected to have a table waiting for us, and had to flag down a server to ask if this is a seat yourself type of place. Cocktails and food were delicious- left off a star for covid procedures. While there was no bar seating, people were walking around at their will, and tables were sort of just grab one if you can- not a ton of distancing.

Yelp
I cannot express how overpriced this place is. Horrible service and drinks are stupid expensive. I used to go there often. Literally made a yelp account to warn others to not waste their time or money. Better off going anywhere else in Nashville. Sad because it used to be great.

Yelp
Such a beautiful rooftop pool and restaurant. The decor is beautiful and the drinks were tasty. For Saturday morning brunch there is a fun DJ.

Michelle L.

Yelp
Drinks were a bit overpriced but very tasty! Loved the vibes. The views were great. There was a fun photo booth by the entrance that was an added bonus.

Yelp
Honestly can't complain with the quality of the hotel bar food here. Was it the best cheeseburger in the world? Not necessarily but definitely comparable to burger places in the city. Also had the grilled cheese and tomato soup and was satisfied. Everything was spaced appropriately due to COVID. The waiter gave great service and the scenery is great! I went at night so a brunch visit is definitely on the list. Summer time with the pool is certainly going to be a vibe.

Yelp
Went there for brunch, and the food was comically bad. The guacamole & chips were $13 and it is store bought, Holy Guacamole brand....our entire group recognized it and we thought it was a joke!! The rest of the food was absolutely terrible as well. The chilaquiles were plain chips with cold egg on top. My friend could not even eat the scrambler. She described it as bad cafeteria/camp food. To top it all off, we had to wait over an hour for the food to come. The vibes are cool to day party, but I recommend going well fed and just for a drink. Not worth the price at allllll. I could make way better food at home.

Ross S.

Yelp
There is a reason this is one of the easiest places to get a reservation in town. We were seated for 45 minutes before we had to call another waiter over to go find our waiter to take our order. When she returned, all she said was "have you guys decided yet." No apology or anything. Food was terrible for the price. I am all for spending money on good meals but it has to be justified and our experience was not even close. Setting has lot of potential, I'll give it that. But the sound inside is way too loud because everything in brick or glass. For the scale of restaurant this is, there needs to be sound deadening.

Yelp
We had to try out the newest addition to the Nashville rooftop bar scene. We stopped in around 5pm on a Saturday night and were told we would have to wait about an hour which was expected. They have another outdoor bar on the ground level which helped us pass the time. Once allowed up, we were able to see the beautiful interior just in time for sunset! We sat outside and the tables were well spaced out and CDC compliment. The drinks were delicious and our waiter was extremely friendly. My only complaint is that I wish there were outdoor heaters because it did get quite cold as the sun set!

Yelp
Great food, great views, great drinks! We stayed at the Virgin Hotel for a "staycation" and really enjoyed this rooftop. Had dinner here last night and came back from unlimited mimosas for brunch.

Yelp
Cool spot to hang out. Similar vibe to LA Jackson but with a swimming pool. The music is a bit too loud, but the atmosphere seems cool. The food is alright and the wait staff has a little bit of attitude but the drinks are good!!

Carl K.

Yelp
Monika and Zac are extremely helpful and knowledgeable! Had a wonderful time at the rooftop bar!

Yelp
Loved the atmosphere and vibe however the music was so loud we were telling to hear each other. Music selection was great. Service and drinks were awesome. Food was good and to be expected for this type of place. Great place for drinks and kicking off the night. Bathroom was cute but NOT well kept. Would go back and sit outside for sure.

Yelp
I have never written a review before because nothing has been worth the trouble honestly. I made a reservation here last week for Easter Sunday, so two weeks in advance. I told my friend that's where I picked and she said absolutely not - that maybe we can go there for drinks but that the food is store bought (confirmed by an employee) and the service is horrible as far as wait times and disrespectful staff. That obviously didn't sound ideal so I just cancelled the reservation... literally an hour after I made it. I had already prepaid for a surprise dessert since it's also my friends 22nd birthday. When I cancelled the reservation I didn't get a refund for the dessert but no big deal - I just called and left a voicemail. Nobody called back so I called once a day for about seven days. I left seven voicemails saying the same thing. Nobody will call me back. Based on the other reviews about absurdly up-charging store bought food (Holy Guacamole brand guac for $13 lol), I realized that they're pretty stingy with money. Obviously they're required to give me my money back eventually, but it seems like they're hoping I'll just give up if they ignore me for long enough. I walked into the hotel since I live close by and the hotel guest agent gave me the managers email, so I'll delete this if she gets back to me. If you're going here just don't prepay for anything, it seems like you can't trust it. Update: the email given to me was the manager at the Dallas location. I feel bad for the bluntness of my email to her for a problem she can't solve. But I will have to start the whole process over which is even more frustrating. It's interesting to me because my neighbor was telling me she called a couple days ago about making a reservation and they got back to her. They suddenly listen to voicemails when it comes to that.

Yelp
Last night a group of us were at the bar inside the pool club and I went to get my first round of drinks for my friends and I. The bartender Nicole, walked by and laughed "no" because my group was "bad tippers." My friends and I have all worked in the service industry before and I can assure you she wasn't getting stiffed. However, being a bartender in the past, even if I was, I wouldn't / couldn't refuse to service someone because they weren't tipping to my standards. Nicole was so rude and she thought it was so funny to act that way. The other girl bartender was sweet and helped us, but Nicole is someone who should not work in hospitality.

Mary G.

Yelp
I will start by saying I addressed this with the manager, also known as "Life of the Party" and she assured me she would do whatever she could to make things right. Have I heard from her since? Of course not! We had very high hopes for our day and we were very disappointed. When we arrived and ordered coffee to start our brunch, we were brought coffee in to-go cups, and our waters were brought to us in solo cups. For a place you have booked for 3 hours with a minimum cost, we expected a little nicer set up. The table beside of us had actual coffee mugs. We could've looked past that, but the biggest issue was our service and experience. We were told when we booked (we reserved a table with a $500 minimum) that we would have a personal waitress, a DJ would be playing, etc. Our waitress had to be tracked down and we had to get her attention for EVERYTHING. Meanwhile, she was scrolling on her phone at the bar. When she actually brought things to our table, she rushed, sat the stuff down, did not make eye contact, and walked away immediately without asking if anyone needed anything. When we booked, we were told 11-1 was the time to book if we were looking for a good time to day drink and have a good time. The DJ didn't show up on time and by the time he set up, was only playing for 45 minutes out of our THREE hour booking. We ordered an app of guacamole and chips and the guacamole was store bought and not good. Again, something we could have easily let go, but our friend specifically asked the bartender/waitress if the avocado toast had the same avocado spread on it as the guacamole dip and she assured her it did not. My friend even asked to verify that it was fresh avocado on the toast and was told that is was. When they brought the avocado toast, it had the same store bought avocado spread on it so she asked nicely to please have them take it back and she ordered something different. The bartender/waitress got smart and tried to tell her there were different seasonings in it. That wasn't the issue. When one of the managers came by to check on things we expressed our disappointment in the atmosphere and the DJ not being there and her response was that since it was a rainy day he was just late. No offer of anything to make our experience better or to make up for that. We will never be returning nor will we recommend this place. OH, and we were charged for the avocado toast that was NOT what we were told it was. Terrible service and attitudes from wait staff the entire time we were there.

Rene M.

Yelp
They sat us down at a dirty table, got really dirty glasses for the bottomless mimosas (lipstick stains), the Nashville hot chicken was pretty bad, but the view was nice hence two stars. Also the Mojito is pretty bad but plans has potential.

Sidney D.

Yelp
DO NOT GO HERE! unbelievably awful service. everyone treats you like you're inconveniencing them by being there. we were seated and waited 30 minutes for our waitress to come take our order. she was completely ignoring us. she didn't apologize at all. drinks were insanely over priced and tasted like water. whatever you do, don't come here

Amanda Y.

Yelp
Such a great vibe! The drinks are great for a group and you can't beat the view and it's not downtown. Great for locals and to take friends from out of town. Highly recommend making a reservation so you can get a patio seat on the weekend.

M. B.

Yelp
We stopped for lunch on a beautiful April day. The restaurant was packed - indoors and outside with the pool open for those staying at the hotel. While the menu was reasonably interesting for a hotel restaurant, the execution was really less than stellar. The lobster roll was not very tasty and the roll very bland. The chicken salad sandwich (minus the croissant b/c there were no gluten free options) was also bland. And the mound of home made potato chips, while abundant, were not very good for all the effort. Service was iffy - looks like they were short staffed. And it was very pricy. The only thing enjoyable was the view on such a lovely day!

Stella G.

Yelp
Great potential due to the setting and views, but the food quality was terrible and the music was so loud I couldn't hear anyone at my table. The menu has very few options and being a large party we tried most of it. The guacamole was small and tasted processed, fruit was unripe and canned, scrambler was tiny and consisted of meat and potatoes rather than scrambled eggs, and the chilaquiles was basically just a bowl of tortilla chips. And to top it all off, all the food was extremely overpriced. The avocado toast and salad were good but would recommend going to the coffee shop on the first floor for breakfast food instead.
