We cleared our day yesterday to spend at Elia Beach. We booked a Cabana and we arrived at 10am so that we could enjoy a full day of drinks, sun, pool and music. The joke was on us. By 12:30 we were approached by the manager that the venue was closing due to lighting within 5 miles. There was no lighting , just some clouds and a sprinkle. They credit us portion of what we payed that we had not consumed in drinks. We were so upset, we cleared our day and now had nothing planned or booked. Total waste of our vacation day. The worst part was that the actual hotel pool for the guests was still open and operating. The only assumption that I can make is that the venue did not have enough patrons and they would rather shut down then fulfill their obligation to the guests that spent their time and money to visit their establishment. Bad customer service and bad business practice. Do yourself a favor and visit another establishment that will value your time and money.
